doctor strange: season one

anonymous asked:

Do you have any recommended doctor strange comics?

Into Shamballa is always the one i’ll recommend most strongly…

But I also recommend his origins that can be collected in

Doctor Strange Masterworks vol 1 (which is in colour btw)

or the essentials collection 1-4…though they are in black and white and don’t completely do the art justice…

a few small stories like

The Flight of Bones 1-4 - Tony Harris covers

What is it that disturbs you stephen? -P Craig Russel illustrated

The Oath ( this one is always recommended and most looked at due to being the most recent…)

Dr Strange: Season One and Strange : The doctor is out (illustrated by Emma Rios)

Doctor Strange/Doctor Doom : Triumph and Torment (cuz mike mignola and it’s wonderful)

To be honest there has been a lot of recollected Trades like ‘Don’t pay the Ferryman’ and a small print of montesi formula (doctor strange v. Dracula) and ‘Into the Dark Dimension’ recently published to i’d say have a look around…

though i’m rather attracted to the more visually obscure comics…with distinct and pleasing styles and in a lot of the graphic novels this is the case…..

ps. reblog and add to the list if there is any more recommendations guys x lets help anon out!

Mads Mikkelsen: 'I’m still looking for my identity in the English language'
From Le Chiffre in Casino Royal to the titular character in the presently cancelled Hannibal, Mads Mikkelsen has become internationally renown for playing a fantastic villain.

One last project I’d like to discuss is Hannibal, which was so fantastic but got cancelled. Have there been any developments on season four?

It ended where it ended. It’s one of those rare shows where you can pick it up whenever you want, in years from now, because the story itself jumps about. Whether or not it happens, we don’t know. It’s all in the hands of Brian Fuller. We simply cannot do it without him. He’s the mastermind and the genius behind the show. I don’t think anyone could do it without him. If he can persuade a TV channel to do it, I think he can persuade the whole gang to come back.

There’s such a feverish fanbase behind it, I’m guessing people are hoping Netflix or Amazon will pick it up.

Normally, when you’ve worked on something for three years, you don’t want to come back, but I must say, there wasn’t a single boring day on that show. It was going places we could not imagine.

Well, I certainly hope it comes back at some stage.

So do I.”

implacablesweetness  asked:

What series would you recommend for someone who is just starting out in comics?

for marvel? well there are a few places to start, but if you are interested in the avengers, it’s now pretty easy to jump into their side of comics. all 5 movie avengers now have their own solo titles, although some are…better quality than others.

for the mcu avengers:

if you are interested in team cap after seeing the winter soldier, I really recommend cap vol 5, which was written by the Number One bucky fanboy of all time, ed brubaker. I also recommend captain america and bucky and winter soldier for more bucky, and avengers: red zone and mighty avengers for sam wilson.

general avengers titles:

other comics that are really good and new-reader friendly:

ummm that’s probably enough to get you started. hope it helps!!!!
