doctor kleiner

Characters who appear on monitors in Half-Life 2 and it’s episodes are often bisected at the pelvis in order to save computer processing power.

The seemingly random facial expressions seen above are a side effect of turning on ai_disable in the middle of a scripted scene, which causes npc’s to run through their buffering animations.

These buffering animations are intended to fill in the static gaps in scripted sequences when a character isn’t being given directions by the game, or if an element of the scene has been interfered with by a prop-surfing Doctor Freeman.
