Derek’s cold nose brushed his hand, and Stiles looked down at him. Derek put his front paws on his lap, standing on his hind legs so that they were eye-to-eye.

“What is it?” Stiles asked. “Do you want me to throw a stick for you? Or, you know, a squirrel?”

He swore Derek was giving him a judging look, even with his wolf face. Which, you know. Score one for Stiles, because he tried to work that look out of Derek at least once a night. He was pretty sure it was what Derek gave him instead of a laugh.

Derek leaned in and shyly licked his cheek, and then immediately dropped to the ground at Stiles’s feet and curled up there.

Stiles blinked and touched his cheek. “Did you just… kiss me?”

Signs that you probably like girls (for young wlw and questioning wlw):

  • You overwhelmingly prefer spending time with girls and feel more comfortable in their presence.
  • You pay a lot of attention to female celebrities.
  • You project feelings onto male celebrities and male characters that female characters you like are in romantic relationships with.
  • You use gender neutral pronouns to refer to a crush.
  • You read LGBT works or watch LGBT works out of “curiosity”.
  • You think of yourself as a very invested ally but often get asked if you yourself are gay because of the magnitude of your allyship.
  • You get extremely uncomfortable when friends and family make homophobic remarks, as if they are personally insulting you.
  • You gravitate toward the out LGBT people around you.
  • You find yourself forcing feelings of attraction toward girls down or rationalizing those feelings with all sorts of reasons (”I don’t like girls, I’m just going through a phase” or “I’m only thinking this because no boys talk to me/no boys like me” or “I just admire her fashion” or “I just really want to be her friend”).
  • You feel guilty and ashamed about the feelings of attraction that you pretend don’t exist.
  • You flinch when people talk about the “college bisexual phase” or “the bicurious phase” (this really applies to bisexual women).
  • You don’t truly like male celebrities but you name a token one to appease people (this really applies to lesbians).
  • You cannot envision yourself in a long-term relationship with a man, you feel uncomfortable at the thought of being with one, or you feel scared about engaging in any sort of intimacy with one (this really applies to lesbians).
  • You think of yourself as “heteroflexible” or as “experimenting” or “curious” (this applies to bisexual women quite frequently but it also applies to lesbians).
  • You continually rewatch scenes of f/f romance or intimacy that you’ve seen on television or in movies.
  • You find yourself replacing pronouns in songs or listening to music written and sung by openly gay female artists.
  • You try and read f/f works out of “curiosity”.
  • You feel personally affronted or scared when you witness out wlw near you getting targeted by homophobia.
  • If you’re looking up “am I gay?” or “how do I know if I like girls” on google or on youtube, trust me: you like girls.
  • You feel like you have to date a boy just to along with everyone else dating a boy (this applies to lesbians quite frequently but it also applies to bisexual women).
  • You may be in a relationship with a boy but feel dissatisfied or find your attention settling on girls anyway (this really applies to lesbians).
  • You may genuinely like boys and get attracted to them which confuses you when you also get attracted to girls, and you find yourself denying that you like girls because you also like boys (this really applies to bisexual women).

Movies I learned sugar skills from

We all know Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie, and Halle Berry are some of the gems we have in movies now. But I’ve watched a lot of movies that helped me gain the sugar personas I had and I want to share some of those with you all.

Girlfriend experience

This is one of the more popular movies for sex workers and it is now a tv series. I personally liked it because I was ending a relationship while I was sugaring and I did feel some of the ways Christine felt.

Another thing I loved about this movie was the documentation and research this girl did on her clients. I use to have a notebook filled with all my POTs and SDs info, status, job info, likes and dislikes, turn ons, etc. My ex stole it a while ago but lucky for me I didn’t write down searchable info, even the names were in code.

I would recommend this as the first to watch before you binge watch sex work movies like I did.

Memoirs of a geisha

This is one of my personal favorites because I love the Asian culture when it comes to beauty. The grace, the discipline, and the routine of these woman is really what got me.

When I saw that one look method I was determined to get it to work for me. The Kama Sutra movie below also helped me achieve this. But nothing gets a man across the room faster than an enchanting look from a beautiful woman in their direction.

From this movie I was able to learn how to move more gracefully which is very attractive for men who like “exotic” women. So if you got hips sway them, if you have long legs be swift with your steps, and if your hand are flawless move them like a water bender on avatar (anime joke).

The Treacherous

This movie is very gory so if that’s not your thing don’t watch it. But it does show some intense training for courtesans (old world Asia times).

The seductiveness of these women turned me on so I knew the same methods would turn any man on too. My favorite seductive move is the removing of clothes shown in the beginning scenes where the man challenged the woman to a strip game.

Another scene that showed me a lot of gems was the actual training of the women and how they were to taught to please. I even got some old school hoe tips for my Vag in this movie.

Kama Sutra

Yes it is spelled right and yes it is about using Karma Sutra. If you want a movie example of how some Karma Sutra techniques work then look no further.

This movie showed me how equally important foreplay is for men as it is for us. It showed little snippets of how even feeding can be sensual for men. My favorite tip from the movie would have to be the eye movements of the women while they danced. Those eyes have gotten me compliments from many dance teachers because they could see sexiness in my eyes.

Just look at these eyes:

Etiquette of a mistress

In case you haven’t noticed by now I watch a lot of Asian movies. This one in particular is informative and funny so you’ll really enjoy watching it.

If you’re a sugar that deals with a lot of married men this movie is for you. It shows you how to be properly discrete with your time together and how to deal with the cons of a married man. The best part of this movie is it shows the perspective of a veteran and a newbie, so I know my vets will enjoy this if they or helping any newbies out there.

Wolf on wall street

This is of course on here because of the famous Naomi character that we love so much. Her sharp tongue is definitely needed when you are trying to pass through all the BS talk. But another thing to pay attention to is her physical presentation of herself. Her style with her looks was like devil in a red dress but with diamonds add.

Two can play that game

This one is mostly for my brown SBs who are close to their mid 20s.

In the 2000s this movie was like the black woman’s player guide. I’ve used many of these strategies to get men back on track to what I wanted. My little black dress is still in the closet waiting for the day my fiance acts up.

One thing from that movie I don’t do is flaunt another man because doing that in this world can severe ties real quick.

A lot of people focus on Shante in this movie but I also loved watching Conny too. Mainly because I love Gabrielle Union’s acting especially in Being Mary Jane.

I didn’t learn much from this movie for my personal gain but I did learn a lot about sex work around the world. So if you’re just interested in a movie that shows you different kinds of sex workers watch this.

Breakfast at Tiffany

I love a good Audrey Hepburn movie because her white woman swag is just as awesome as Marilyn’s. She taught me how to be sweet and

youthful while also being mysterious and unavailable.

Being sweet and youthful is what kept my men feeling lucky to have me. But being mysterious and unavailable at times is what kept them on their toes and more willing do what was needed to “secure” me.

Show Girls

I’m starting to think I should’ve tried stripping because sexy dancing is one of my favorite things to do. Expressing with my body is like art to me but I was probably right not to strip, I would get addicted.

This movie however made me more glamorous and aggressive when it came to my sexy looks. I never got a chance to see real show girls in Vegas but I’m pretty sure I would be in awe by them. I’ve never been a glamorous person but after this movie I started adding a little shimmer and glitter to my style.

Chicago

Again with the dancing lol, I’m sorry ladies but these women, even with out the dancing were phenomenal. The He Made Me Do It song was an all time favorite for me.

But as far as lessons I started to see how competitive women could be when it comes to money and credibility/fame.

I learned on movies like this how to out smart them when it comes to whales. There have been many new girls who tried taking my main SD away from me but they couldn’t get to my relationship quality. Even when girls did get some dates from other SDs of mine they didn’t last long. So please remember ladies quality and good relationships always wins when it comes to real SDs.

Josephine Baker Biography

My girl next door persona has always got me the most money. So when I saw this biography I started mastering it. Her happy demeanor and tiny voice was so close to mine it wasn’t hard to practice.

What made me the happiest, was that even though she was sweet, innocent, and goofy she was also sensual. She knew how to express her sexuality without taking away from her innocence.

The end of the movie was sad and showed a lot of her flaws but she was still iconic.

Confessions of a Brazilian Call Girl

I can’t remember if this is based on a true story are not but it’s amazing. Especially with the online social platforms we have now, this movie has been very useful. This woman on here became a high class call girl based on online status alone.

She was also another person I looked to for glam sexuality and showed many women that even average women can dominate the sex world. There were bad parts like her cockiness and drug use but if she would’ve stayed in her grind she would’ve still been raking in millions. One thing this movie can show you (on the bad side) is that you should never try to “Keep up with the Jones” even in the sex world because it’s never greener on the other side.

Call Me: The Rise and fall of Hiede Fliess

If you don’t know Hiede Fliess, look her up now. She’s the greatest when it comes to call girls. The tactics she used to get where she was is amazing. She really knew how to keep connections with her clients and how to get other girls money.

I don’t know what she does now but I do respect the contributions she’s made to the sex work industry. If you’re in LA or Hollywood you should really watch this movie.

Some notable tv women I watch

Joseline Hernandez

She’s so unapologetic about who she is and will get money by any means necessary. Her and Cardi B are like alter egos I wish I had sometimes.

She is one of the realest woman I’ve seen on TV and she used what she had to get her fame. Now that she got it she is doing here to the max and I’m happy for her.

Nene Lakes

I can see myself being like Nene when I get older and wealthier. She is a star in many forms and doesn’t let these women or her man interfere with her money. She went from housewife to breadwinner even outside of the show.

I get all my bougie ways from Ms. Whitley lol. Really she was a good representation of a high class but down to earth black woman for me. She started out a little too much for me but after some seasons she grew on me. I’m always a sucker for tiny voiced women because mines is tiny too (Not as annoying as hers).

Tasha Patrick

Now I’m going to be honest I just started watching power but I love this women’s attitude. She’s sexy, ride or die, and also strategically vengeful. I might update this after I finish the show but for now that’s all I have to say.

Phaedra Parks

This woman beats me in being bougie and extra. I’ve never seen anyone who goes all out like she does. When I was in college I always wanted to be a like southern belle with curves so when this show came on I was tuned in. If you ever wanted to see an example of a curvy southern belle that can still get a little ghetto, Here she is.

This list is just a few of the many women I’ve watched to perfect my personas.

Now, when I switch my persona it’s not to completely change who I am but helps me adapt to different environments.

For example: If my SD likes to watch football games from his box then I’m not going to go into my prim and proper mode, I’m going to bring out girl next door me.

Depending on what your daddy likes you’re going to be put in different types of atmosphere and if you’re black than your going to need to adapt. The way to more opportunities is by building your credibility which is usually based on how much people like you. You re like an undercover celebrity lol.

Now if you don’t want to change that’s fine but that’s what’s work for me.

I change up like a Johnny Depp Movie role

i did an informal demo at UTS today and came out with a couple cheat sheets!

1. (ft. taako, you know, from tv) how to quickly add some visual interest to an illo that you feel is otherwise “missing something” – a dynamic pose helps, but so do flecks/dots, hatching, and flyaways in the hair. any little detail that creates irregular shapes of varying size will please the eye and just help to lift up an illustration.

2. paws make a good guideline for hands! this is not that useful when doing studies or closeups of hands, but i’ve found it works well when i’m posing a character (especially a cartoony or stylized one) and just don’t know what to do with their hands.

if you don’t know how to draw, you best get good at faking it

  • Bran: I know everything.
  • Sam: That's nice. :)
  • Bran: Jon needs to know.
  • Sam: Know what?
  • Bran: He's not a Stark. He's a sand.
  • Sam: Wait, how.
  • Bran: Bastard, but in a different region.
  • Sam: No! His parents were married!
  • Bran: Yes! Jon Targaryen.
  • Sam: Wait, if you know everything, why do I have to fill you in?
  • Bran: The writers are ahead of the books and are writing this show as it goes on, work with me, go with it, ignore the plotholes goddamnit.

'Walking Dead' Star Steven Yeun Is Writing and Producing His Own Projects to Create Better Roles For Asian Actors - TheWrap

“I think that if I had not been Asian, I probably would have a whole plethora of roles, at least to audition for, but it’s just not what has been written” he tells TheWrap

Steven Yeun took a big leap of faith back in 2005, deciding that instead of pursuing a proper — and lucrative — career, he’d instead move to Chicago to try his hand at acting.

The risks here were twofold: First, it is of course remarkably difficult to forge and sustain a career as a working actor — and it is exponentially more difficult to do so as an Asian-American.

Exhibit A: Yeun is one of the most important cast members on the biggest show on television, “The Walking Dead,” and he’s still fighting hard to earn the sort of auditions that reflect his success.

“People ask, ‘So, how are the roles now? You must be getting so many.’ And it’s like, I don’t know if you know, but I’m Asian still,” Yeun told TheWrap earlier in July, laughing. “It’s not a complaint, that’s just how it is now, and I have to forge my own path through it and see that through. I think that if I had not been Asian, I probably would have a whole plethora of roles, at least to audition for, but it’s just not what has been written.”

It almost seems as if Hollywood is going out of its way to avoid Asian actors, when movies based on mangas are cast with white leads (see: “Speed Racer” and “Dragonball”), Asian movies being remade with white actors (“Oldboy”), and white actors actually playing Asians (“Cloud Atlas”and “The Last Airbender”).

Yeun’s first film role, as a scientist and best friend to Michael Pitt in “I Origins,” is a good start. The part doesn’t cast him as a nerdy sidekick, as so many other scripts call for; Yeun’s Kenny is a smart and slick core character who offers a lot of the comic relief in Mike Cahill‘s very serious film, undercutting the self-seriousness that Pitt presents.

The freedom to choose how he’d play a character — in this instance, he wanted Kenny to be refined — is not a luxury that Asian actors often enjoy. So instead of scouring scripts and casting calls for chances to quietly tweak cliches, Yeun is simply developing his own material.

First comes an adaptation of Kang Chol-Hwan's memoir “The Aquariums of Pyongyang,” which among other htings, details the author’s childhood years living in a North Korean concentration camp. Yeun will executive produce and star in the film, playing the author.

There are several other projects in the pipeline for Yeun, as well, early in development.

“We’ve been working on some comedy stuff and in cartoon form, as well,” he revealed. “And then there are some film ideas that have always been batting around my head. I just want to definitely stretch that muscle, because you can’t just wait for other people to give it to you.”

You know how the entire Autistic community is getting increasingly frustrated by our representation in the media, and how we’re all asking for better representation?
Well, I’m doing something shocking. I’m channelling my special interest, musical theatre, and writing a show about, wait for it, a girl with Aspergers with a single dad and an arts based special interest, with the working title “Spectrum”. It’ll take years to write, as many shows do, but I’m letting the community know now that one of us is trying to change things. I’m promising you now, I will do my best to portray us. I’m one of you and we deserve our stories to be told. I’m just doing it the only way how. Hopefully that makes up for some of the abominations we’ve seen in film and TV.

another piece of writing advice

the more knowledge and experiences you have the better you’ll be at writing

if you don’t have a ton of experiences, you need to at least do research and read (yes, read) a lot

you can’t expect to become a professional writer if you sit in your room all day and only consume modern YA fiction and MCU movies. You have to consume literature and cinema with actual weight to it

All of this builds a foundation for your writing ability.

Writing fiction isn’t really anything but ‘creating a fake world’ and if you don’t know anything about the real one you won’t be able to make an engaging fake. So do research. About history, government, society, social interaction, all that. Just like building anything, you need to know how it’s structured, so read a lot as well. Consume many stories by different authors in different genres and try to see how they’re built, what their parts are.

Research isn’t just something you do when you need a character you decided was smart to drop a factoid or something. Don’t just make assumptions about how things and organizations work. Don’t assume you know how a hospital functions before writing something in a hospital; do research. Don’t assume, even if you’ve seen it on TV.

Try to gain an understanding of things, rather than just superficially absorbing information. Once you understand how something is, think about WHY it is. Everything has a reason. Once you get good at thinking about the reasons why things exist you can use that when crafting your world and give it a much richer and more genuine feeling than if you didn’t.

Example: If you’re writing a story about two nations at war, you have to consider why they’re at war. “The ruler of one is a bad guy” isn’t a good reason. Wars are incredibly costly and their outcome is never guaranteed no matter what the difference in military force is. Think why the war is happening. Is the aggressor interested in some resource? Is it an ideological war? What drove this situation to outright war? Why is this a hot war instead of a cold one? The list goes on.

This even goes down to a personal level. “This person acts this way” why do they act this way? Try to figure it out, even if the audience won’t have that reason revealed to them. It’ll make the portrayal of them much more realistic and people will accept them as ‘real’ better.

I wanna know what love is

El learning the meaning of ‘love’ with Mike, requested by @cricket-hater

_____________

It was one of those quiet afternoons, when Hopper was not yet back from the station, and the cabin was bathed in dim November sunlight. Mike was scribbling in his D&D notebook, biting his pencil, deep in thought, and El was sitting next to him, curled in a ball and deeply engrossed in a soap opera that was on.

Mike knew those by heart by now. Not only El watched those a lot, but so did his mom. He would normally roll his eyes when his mom switched the TV to cheesy love confessions and dramas, but when El watched them, it was different. He liked the way her eyes widened in suprise, or when she leaned towards the TV, her curly hair falling on her face.

'But Rebecca, you can not leave with him!’ the man on she screen begged. 'I love you!’

Mike resisted the urge to groan at the theatrical character of the show. He turned the page and wrote annotation about a monster he wanted to bring out in a particular moment.

He felt El tug at his sleeve and raised his eyes.

'Everything okay?’

'What is 'love’?’ she nodded shyly towards the screen. Mike felt his mouth go dry.

'I… Uh… You don’t know what love is?’

She shook her head and looked down. Sure, she heard that word multiple times on the TV. She knew it had usually something to do with hugs and lips pressed together. But dictionary definition didn’t help her much. For some reason though, she was reluctant to ask Hopper about that. And Mike always had answers. Right?

Mike looked at her, frozen on the spot, almost feeling his brain work rapidly. How does he explain 'love’ to her, of all things? But then again, he always knew how to explain things to her before. Right?

'I uh… I mean there’s nothing wrong in not knowing!’ he assured her, seeing her expression. 'I… Um…’

'I checked in the dictionary once. It said something about 'deep care and devotion’, but… ’

'It’s not really something that a dictionary can’t explain properly. It’s…’

He took a deep breath and put away his notebook. You can do it, Wheeler.

He looked at her again, turning towards her, and resisted the urge to put a stray curl behind her ear.

'Love is an emotion. A feeling. Like happiness, or sadness.’

She nodded.

'Okay. And, uh… There are different kinds of love. There’s love you feel for your friends. You want them to be happy, safe, healthy and all. You sometimes argue with them, but you always try to make up, and you care about them a lot.’ he looked at her, as if to make sure if she’s not lost. She nodded, processing that.

'And then, there’s love for your family. It’s really similar to the love between friends. Love between siblings is sometimes hard, like for me and Nancy, we argue a lot more than I do with the guys, but I care about her a lot, even when I’m mad at her. And the love of parents, it’s… Um… Parents are supposed to love you unconditionally, that means they never want anything in return, they just love you no matter who you are and accept you. Always.’ he remembered his father’s complete lack of genuine concern and care, and resisted the urge to sigh. 'Like Hopper loves you. ’

'He does?’ her eyes widened.

'Yeah, I’m pretty sure he does. He might not tell you that a lot, but he cares about you more than anything. Then, um… There’s that kind of love.’ he gestured towards the TV. 'Although the way it’s shown here is not really accurate. I, uh… I guess it’s called 'romantic love’. It’s mostly very similar to other kinds of love. It’s…. If you love someone you just…’

He took a deep breath and looked at her quietly for a second.

'You never want them to be away. You always want to be near them. You… You find it hard to breathe sometimes, when you look at them, because your chest is full of this… Warm feeling, it’s hard to explain. And when they are hurt, or unhappy, it pains you. You want to take away all the bad stuff in their life. And I want to always be there when you need me, or when you have nightmares again… I mean I know you are way more awesome than I am and I’m no hero, and Hoppers way more capable of protecting you anyway, even though obviously you don’t need it, because it’s you who saved us all…’

He didn’t even notice the switch in his speech. The words he kept inside for all those months full of longing and despair were just flowing out.

She, on the other hand, noticed, but didn’t dare to speak, looking into his eyes, unmoving.

'And I wish I could take away everything that haunts you, and it angers me that I can’t-’

'I love you too. ’ she said softly, her eyes never leaving his.

'And I… What?’

'I love you. ’ she repeated, feeling her lips curve into a small, shy smile.

He looked at her with his dark eyes, frozen on the spot.

'You… You do?’

She lifted her hand, her fingertips brushing his cheekbone.

'Yes. ’ she said simply, and inched closer to him, touching his nose with hers.

'That’s… That’s good. B-because, I love you too. ’ he blurted out, grinning, his face crimson.

'Good. ’ she repeated with a hint of laughter in her voice and she kissed him softly. His larger palms covered her hands that were holding his face.

'El? ’ he said quietly, his lips still close to hers.

'Yes?’

'Remember, when I told you about the dance? Snowball? You… ’ he gulped 'You weren’t there for the one that was last year, but.. there’s another one coming up next month, and I thought… Maybe if we talked to Hopper, we could go… If you want.’ he rested his forehead on hers.

'Is it who you are supposed to go with?’ she asked, remembering what he said that fateful night in school cafeteria, resting her hands on his chest, while he held her wrists gently. 'Someone you love?’

He smiled gently and nodded, rubbing their noses together.

'Yeah.’

'Cool. ’ she whispered.

'Cool. ’ he pressed his lips against her forehead.

Okay, I have to address this, because this is a huge career mistake you are about to make. Most of the successful people you see did NOT follow their dreams. They took opportunities.

When a successful movie star or a celebrated artist tells you to “follow your dreams and never give up” he is giving you a bad advice. Sure, it worked for him, but it did not work for the other millions of people who also set out to become a movie star or an artist but never made it to the red carpet. It’s like a lottery winner saying that the secret to winning the lottery is simple: just keep buying lottery tickets even when people tell you not to. Hey, it worked for him! But it did not work for about 100 million other people who kept buying lottery tickets but just kept wasting money. But those guys do not get screen time on national TV to hand out life advice!

It’s called the survivorship bias and is one of the more common logical flaws to make: just because something worked for someone who made it does not mean it’s a good strategy. Not unless you know how many other people tried and failed doing the same.

Success is when hard work meets opportunity. You can put in the hard work but what if there is no opportunity? What if the world does not need another movie star right now? What if there is an ample supply of graphic artists, comedy writers, environmental activists or dance therapists in your area?

For every successful graphic artist, writer, singer, actor or dancer, there are literally millions who had the same dream, the same passion, worked equally hard but did not have the lucky or privileged opportunities and failed. You simply do not see all those who failed. You only see the one who is on the stage, the one with a million twitter followers giving you an advice that has literally a 1 in a million chance of success: follow your dreams.

Do not follow your dreams, because at 18 you literally don’t know shit about the world. You don’t even know what is out there. There are literally thousands of jobs you don’t even know exist. So take the opportunities that are there, work hard, be persistent and strive to become better at what works, and don’t be afraid to walk away from what doesn’t.

Don’t believe me? Maybe you will believe Mike Rowe:

Dex doesn’t figure out what’s happened until he’s already home for the summer. But the moment he wakes up on the morning after he gets in, the realization hits him all at once.

He picks up his phone and calls Nursey before he’s even out of bed, just sitting there in his boxers, sheets pooled around his waist, having never felt so suddenly and completely awake before in his life.

“Yo, what time is it?” Nursey answers, sounding groggy and a hundred thousand miles too far away.

Dex can’t be bothered with greetings or chirps, his single-minded focus kicking into overdrive. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Tell you what?” Nursey asks around a yawn.

“That we’re basically in love with each other.”

The line goes dead silent for long enough the Dex has to pull his phone away from his ear to check that the call hasn’t disconnected.

Advice for beginners in bullet journaling!

I want to start with the fact that I am no expert in bullet journaling, I started a bit more than a year ago and I’ve learned a lot in this year!

1. It’s okay if your bullet journal does not look like the ones on tumblr. When I first started bullet journaling I always went on tumblr and tried to copy what all the other people were doing which are super incredible spreads using like 20 different kinds of pens and washi tapes and yours might not look the same which can really discourage you. Looking for inspiration on Tumblr is great, but stick to something simpler and something you would like if you’re just starting now.

2. You don’t need a moleskin/leuchtturm notebook. I know that a lot of people say those are the notebooks that are specifically made for bullet journaling and such, but ANY notebook would work, I for example have a notebook that I just randomly bought in Amsterdam last year and I still have it and it works perfectly for everything.

3. At the beginning you’re going to want to do a lot of ‘lists’ and different spreads, which is hard to keep up with. Speaking from experience here, I made lots of different kinds of spreads like ‘books I’ve read’ and ‘how many eps of this tv show I’ve watched and its just frustrating to keep up with, so my advice from this is to start lists that you know you will keep up with.

4. Make it yours. Now I know how vague this sounds, so let me explain a bit further. You do not need to do what everyone’s doing, for example the ‘index’ at the beginning doesn’t work for me at all. If something doesn’t work for you, don’t force it, because you will start to feel discouraged. If you’re a student, make it more about studying and how many hours you spent on it or a grades tracker.

5. It’s okay to have a messy bullet journal. I see all these beautiful, perfectly lined bullet journals on tumblr and I get kind of self conscious about how mine should look, but you shouldn’t do that. Bullet journaling is something that helps you be more efficient in life and helps you keep up with your own life and everyone has their own pace.

6. You can’t expect to love your bullet journal when you start. There’s a lot you have to experiment with a lot of different things and what works for you, because you’re probably reading this like ‘I don’t know what works for me’ and that’s why you have to experiment.

Extra fast tips :

1. Check ‘bujo battles’ by @studyign on Youtube. She shows you the bullet journals of a lot of different people and how different they can look and how differently you can use your bullet journal to the original one. (Bujo stands for bullet journal)

2. When buying a notebook make sure the papers are not thin, because your pens and markers are definitely gonna bleed through.

3. The tags #bujo #bulletjournal has a bunch of simple bullet journal setups.

Go set them up and be your best self with your brand new bullet journal! + I also post a lot of my imperfect, but efficient bujo spreads so be sure to follow me:)

“Never” you answered, only half-joking and took the mug from him with a soft ‘thanks’. “Why are you up, Cap? Don’t you have an early training session with Sam tomorrow?”

Steve shrugged, “Yeah, I do..” he took a deep breath but didn’t seem to let the air go when he spoke, “but sometimes I just can’t get my brain to shut off. And my mom used to say that a bed is for sleeping, not thinking”

You chuckled softly, “Meaning?”

Steve shot you a lopsided smile, “Meaning, if you can’t catch sleep because you’re thinking too much, get out of bed for a while and try again later”

anonymous asked:

Do you have any advice on what to do if you lose your joy and interest in writing when a writer was how you identified yourself?

(wry look) Life just pulled one of those cute things where I had three-quarters of a response written and I hit the wrong keys somehow and it all went away. Which tells me that this is important. So let me recreate it.

The best advice I’ve got for you right now is to lean back and wait, because normally the joy and interest will come back. Being a writer, and having enjoyed and been interested in it previously, isn’t something that goes away all that easily. The set of behaviors that make up being a writer are complex and difficult to ingrain… which is going to make the ability to do this kind of work difficult to lose even if you were trying to do so. So, first of all: take heart.

Now it has to be said that, human nature and psychology (and nature itself) being the cranky intransigent things they sometimes are, it may (paradoxically) be necessary for your recovery of your joy and interest in the work to completely surrender to the concept that you might actually have permanently lost it. I know this sounds counterintuitive, but the effectiveness of simply giving up is sometimes surprising.  There’s a saying attributed to Carl Jung, the father of the concept of Archetype as we now understand it, that goes like this: “What you resist, persists; and not only does it persist, but it gets bigger in size.” (There’s a good long article about this concept over here in Psychology Today: worth looking at. …Though I also have to say that the illo at the top is hilarious and perfect, because Kylo Ren should frankly be the poster child for the whole idea.)

My own experience suggests that there are times when as soon as you give up, the thing that’s been eluding you either collapses to the ground where you can just stroll over and reclaim it, or turns around and runs headlong into your arms. Frustrating, but what can you do? When the whole point is to get whatever it is back, the idea that it played you a little in the process will after the fact seem less of an issue.

Possible causes for what’s going on with you are worth touching on briefly. I’ve had occasion to post a number of times about something that C. S. Lewis codified in The Screwtape Letters as “the Law of Undulations”. Now as much as I love him, there would be a lot of things that Clive and I would disagree about, but this wouldn’t be one of them. I think he was really onto something. So take a look at that basic post, and then we can move on a bit.

With the Law in mind, while you’re working on what “giving up” might look like – assuming you need to go that far – here are some possibly similar situations and strategies to consider.

Some of the above situations come with suggestions of possible things you can do about them. But do not underestimate the power of simply waiting a while and not doing anything. It’s worth emphasizing that in our culture as it stands at the moment, there’s endless emphasis on immediately DOING THINGS to fix what ails you. Sometimes not doing anything is more effective – though to some people that’s going to sound heretical, and you’ll run the risk of being accused of laziness (not least by the back of your own mind, once it realizes you’re onto something that’s going to give you back control of the situation. The self-sabotaging wiliness of a subconscious about to lose its advantage can be a terrifying thing… but even that loses some of its terrors when your conscious mind suspects or knows what it’s up to.) Anyway, ignore that noise.

Give doing nothing a good long chance. Stoke up on your reading. Get caught up on TV and movies if that’s your thing. Do other work. Create something that isn’t writing. (Cooking’s good for this. I love being responsible for mighty successes or godawful failures in the kitchen and knowing that the critics at Kirkus and PW are not going to give the slightest damns about it.)

But tl:dr; Don’t despair: just kick back and wait. And see how it goes.

…And eventually let me know how you get on. :)  HTH.

Dating Reggie Mantle would include ...

Identity theft. You have a thing for wearing Reggie’s clothes and he had a thing in seeing you in them. You are pretty sure it was basically identity theft at some point. Something inside him just swells up in pride when he sees you drowning in his clothes because it was some sort of mark or evidence that you were his and he was yours. Veronica may have joked once or twice that you really need to go shopping or else people will already start to mistake you for your boyfriend but you knew deep down that even if you had a closet full of designer clothes you would still chose to wear his beat down grey fluffy sweater every goddamn time.

-Sweaters. Two words: (1) Sweater (2) paws. Reggie is weak when it comes to you wearing his sweaters that are three times bigger than you. You just look adorable in his big fluffy sweaters that you could wear it every day of the week and hear no complaints from him at all.

-Wearing his iconic letterman jacket. Let’s be honest here dating a jock would not be complete without you wearing his letterman jacket but when it comes to Reggie it’s more of a protection, to be honest. He usually lends you his jacket that he loves oh so much when you are watching his game from a place where he can’t always keep an eye on you and other boys that might be getting any ideas. The jacket is sort of a big red flag to them to let them know that yes, you are dating the team captain and yes he will beat the shit out of them if they even breath in your direction. Or also when you wear something that was too revealing in his eyes. He would never really tell you directly because he knew how much you hate it when he tries to control you and what you wear so he decides to be sneaky and just let you borrow his jacket even though he feels naked without it because he knows you can never say no to wearing his jacket that was just swimming in his scent.

-Stealing his snapbacks. If not his jacket, you would always steal his snapback every time you come over because  that boy had a lot of them and it would always give you an excuse to come over and ‘give it back’.

PDA. You weren’t big on PDA but Reggie would find just about any excuse to kiss you or hold you in any possible way. Ever since you had been dating you sat on his lap more times than on a chair that you actually start to feel uncomfortable if you are just sitting next to him, too accustomed in sitting on his lap, with his arms around your waist while feeling the occasional kisses on your neck. You could just be talking or reading a book and Reggie would already be poking his head near your field of vision to ask for a kiss that he always manage to deepen no matter where you are. (Let’s just say the varsity team’s locker room was not the best place for a make out session god bless Archie’s poor soul).

-Forehead kisses. Like most people you were smaller than Reggie’s six footer frame and he just loves it (and teasing you about it). It was always the perfect position for him to lean down and give your forehead a peck every now and then that never fails to make you blush.

-Hugs. Reggie is a teddy bear, he will never admit it but he is. When you’re tired of the world or just don’t want to interact with other people (since Reggie always manage to bring a crowd around him being Mr. Popular and all) you would just turn your back on the world and just hug him. He would jokingly wrap his jacket around you and zip it up, successfully hiding your upper body from anyone’s view which makes you whine in protest but he knows you secretly loved it because you just feel so safe in his arms. Any jokes thrown Reggie’s way were ignored at sight.

Protection 24/7. Reggie is anxious when it comes to you because he knows how your mind works and how easily you get distracted so when you’re apart or far from each other he always had to make sure that you are in his field of vision or with someone he trusts to eradicate any and every harm that may come in your way.

Supporting him in his games. You don’t miss any of Reggie’s games because you know how much it means to him to have you there. You had the same spot in front that Reggie always manages to reserve because that was where he could easily see you and give him the adrenaline  to actually get through with the games. And from there he can also hear your cheers and screams every time he does something amazing or even just him doing anything at all. (“HOLY SHIT THAT’S MY BABY!” “Shut the fuck up, (Y/N).” “LOOK KEV DID YOU SEE THAT?! THAT’S THE MVP RIGHT THERE! “ ”… he literally just ran past you.”)

Jealousy. You were both the jealous type, you were just better at hiding it through glares and sitting at his lap and pouting at him until he kisses you in front of the said threat (you weren’t fooling anybody though). Reggie however would simply just stand behind you or grab you by the waist and glare at the threat or even kiss you in the middle of a conversation just to prove his point and teach the other person to learn his damn place because Reggie did not spend the whole sophomore year chasing after you just to have some loser try to steal you goddamnit (it was just a freshman asking for directions).

Mind-blowing Sex.

-Making out everywhere. And you meant that literally. (“I don’t wanna sit anywhere where you and Mantle had some action, (Y/N).” “Feel free to go out, V.”)

-Rough Sex. You and Reggie are big on making love but would you be lying if you say you don’t LIVE FOR THE ROUGH SEX. It usually happens when something pissed Reggie off or when one of you gets jealous (which is most of the time) but Reggie would always have you just where he want you to be every time: gripping the sheets and screaming his name.

-Marks everywhere. You name it: hickeys, scratches, or bruises and you both have it. Reggie have no shame whatsoever in removing his shirt just to expose the long deep marks all over his back or purposely wearing v-necks for people to see the cute little hickeys you have showered all over his neck. You however would do everything in your power to hide the HUGE hickey on one side of your neck (and more all over your body especially around your chest) where Reggie discovered was your soft spot and trying not to wince from the bruise that formed on each side of your hips, forming into a familiar pair of hands, every time someone accidentally touches or brushes over it. Reggie would just be a smirking mess all day. (“Damn Reg, did you get mauled or something?” “Uh-huh, my baby’s amazing, wanna see?” “REGGIE!” )

-Overstimulation. Your boyfriend was an athlete which means his stamina was out of this world and there would be nothing wrong with it if he just didn’t expect you, YOU OF ALL PEOPLE, to have the same inhuman abilities as him. He could go for hours, making sure to make you cum at least twice every time you two have sex (even if you were in a hurry because you’re in the JANITOR’S CLOSET JESUS FUCK REGGIE). You would be begging him to stop but he knows you and your limitations so he can always estimate if you can or cannot give him another orgasm. It has become a game for Reggie, to see how much he can push you to the edge over and over again until you pass out from exhaustion.

-Eating out. Reggie is obsessed in eating you out. You don’t know why but he would find any excuse to get in your pants and just eat you out and goddamn was he good at his job. Anytime, any day he would just give you that look and drag you in the nearest empty room as soon as possible (classroom, janitor’s closet, the kitchen, the living room while you were watching tv, anywhere) and just do his work with his mouth in your core, always putting two fingers in your mouth to keep you from screaming because God knows he gets in the mood in the most inappropriate places possible.

-Aftercare. As much as Reggie loved fucking you he loved aftercare more. Before you, he never really cared much about aftercare but you are just so fucking pliant and soft after you have sex that he can’t help but want to take care of you and make sure you are in maximum comfort for you to have a good night’s rest, you probably earned it at that point.

Cuddling. As aforementioned, Reggie was a teddy bear. That’s why it was no question when you would just find yourself wrapped around each other as you lay in bed. You could either be on top of him, head comfortable on his chest and his arms on your waist or he could be burying his face deep in your chest (“you’re boobs are comfortable, babe”) as he snored away his problems and slept peacefully knowing he, too, was always safe in your arms.

Staring. Reggie doesn’t notice it but he was always staring at you. Archie could be talking to him about the new play for the game only to look up and realize Reggie probably hasn’t heard a damn thing because he was too busy staring at you from the bleachers, laughing with Veronica and wearing his jacket. (“Goodamnit Reggie, WAKE UP!! You’re girlfriend won’t run away if you stop looking at her.” “…” “You’re not even—y’know what. I give up.”). You however would just glance at him from time to time (*all the time bcos let’s be honest here you’re boyfriend is a snack) to check up on him before minding your own business for the next eight seconds.

Being afraid of your relationship.

-For you, Reggie was a risk that much was true. You were the first girl he genuinely liked (loved) so all you heard about him were horrible rumours and stereotypes about how much of an asshole he can be. That was the reason why it took you so long to even consider to give him a chance and even when you were already in a relationship you were always just waiting for the day that he would suddenly get tired of you and replace you with some drop dead gorgeous, perfectly manicured, not a hair out of place River Vixen that could relate to him more than you could ever dream of.

-For him, you were it. You were the one; he has found the one person who has accepted him for everything that he is. He found the one who he can never see a future without and that scares the shit out of him. He can’t believe he found something as perfect, fragile, and beautiful as you so early in his life when he is still a teenage hormonal mess. He was a teenager who found the love of his life in a hell called high school and he was going to need to fuck up a lot of times to become better. He, however, doesn’t want to fuck up when it comes to you but now he has no other choice because you were already there. He is so afraid of doing something so fucking stupid that he might actually lose you because losing you would just kill him. And the fact that someone already has a hold on him like that makes Reggie want to cower back into his shell.

Deciding to dive head first anyway.

-Reggie proved you wrong every time, again and again that’s why you decided to stop being a wimp and just trust in him, after all he had done nothing to gain your disbelief. It was a leap of faith but if you do crash on the ground, bleeding and broken it would’ve been worth it anyway because if you had to choose someone to break your heart, it would be Reggie. (Reggie would never let that happen, anyway. Not on his watch)

-You proved Reggie right every time again and again and that’s why Reggie decided to become a better man for himself so that he will be someone worthy of you. It would be a tough road to take and he will meet a lot of obstacles but you were someone who has made Reggie’s walls crash and crumble, the only one who has seen the real him and did not run away. You saw him for who he is: his mistakes, his imperfections, and his weaknesses and you still stayed (God only knows why). And if you could love a mess like that, then how bad can he be?

You didn’t realize it but the whole world did, you were endgame. Reggie was reckless, rough, and bold and you were careful, fragile, and calculated and that’s why you were just so fucking perfect for each other. You hold Reggie down to Earth while Reggie shows you the beauty in flying up in the sky. You take care of him and fix him up every time he goes crashing down and he makes sure that no harm would ever touch a single strand of your hair. He makes you feel protected but at the same time makes you feel strong and for Reggie who always had to have his guard and facade up you just show him the beauty in being soft and loved and open, slowly breaking down his mask to show him that you can love and accept the real him. You were each other’s happy ending and that’s why no one, not even the gods themselves, had the heart to break you two apart.

Guess who got fucking bored? Anyway i’m sorry if it is quite long for a headcannon I always forget to control myself lmao I HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT AND LET ME KNOW IF I SHOULD WRITE A SMALL IMAGINE FOCUSING ON ANY OF THESE HEADCANNONS

Imagine Bill rambling about you during interviews and admitting you are his celebrity crush, excited when you go to the premiere of his new movie, not knowing you feel the same and are watching the interview.

“So uhm there were plenty of people attending the premiere of- of the newest movie you’re taking part in, am I right?” Ellen asked once the audience calmed down.

“Uh yes, yes many actually. Other than my family, my brothers and actually father too, there were other celebrities too. Some of whom I- I look up to so much I can’t describe! I got to talk to some of them, like- like Harrison Ford, yeah he was actually there, and Antony Hopkins and so many others! I couldn’t believe it at first but I was truly- truly blessed to be able to actually get to have a conversation with them, it was- it was amazing.” he breathed out, a smile spreading on his lips as he nodded his head.

“I am sure you were thrilled, but it shouldn’t come as such a surprise. The movie was expected to be a great hit and it actually happened!” she pointed out with a smile and small shrug “We- we indeed saw Harrison, Antony and Robert Downey Jr there too, right?” she asked and he nodded his head.

“Yeah also, I uh saw Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston too, and uh Ryan Gosling? Yeah he was there too.” he added “I was- I was really happy to see them there and you know even here a small ‘Great job!’ or 'Congratulations!’ meant so so much I can’t describe it! I was thrilled!”

“It certainly means a lot, I can understand! But something tells me we are not bringing up the first, and probably most important, person of the night that oh I am so sure made you feel over the moon!” she said with a smirk and even without saying a single name Bill laughed shyly, looking down, because he understood very very well who she was referring to.

“That- that laugh tells me you already know who I mean?” she asked with a small chuckled and he grinned, rubbing the back of his neck.

Everything was perfect. It was a quiet, stormy afternoon. The main lights in your living room were off, only soft candlelight flickered across the walls and the occasional bursts of lightning illuminating the flowing curtains on your windowpanes. The TV was playing some program in the background, but you weren’t entirely focused on it. You were more focused on the lump of a boy that laid across your lap, asleep and dead to the world.

Min Yoongi, your best friend forever for who knows how long was one of the most hard working people that you’ve ever come to know. He, also, was one of the most stubborn as well, refusing to give up or back down even though he knew it’d be easier on him to do so. This trait, mixed with his passion and job for music often kept him up late at night, working until dawn on tracks of music and beats that spewed into his headphones. The dark circles of purple under his eyes were always a staple feature on his face and you soon grew used to seeing the faint discoloration. But when he came over today, the purple darker so much so that it could be considered black, you demanded that he needed to sleep, no ifs ands or buts.

So, you made him sit on the couch, bringing him a cup of tea, the fluffiest blanket you owned, and a set of night clothes he always kept at your place incase he needed to crash here for the night. You told him to go change, and you set up the little makeshift bed on the couch, turning off the lights and creating a relaxing environment for him to sleep in. You made him drink all his tea before gently nudging him to cuddle into your side.

Cuddling was a common thing that the two of you did; being so close for so long allowed the behavior to be acceptable. At first he just cuddled your side, fitting his head onto your shoulder as the tea and blanket warmed his body and the sounds of the TV lulled him closer to unconsciousness. But when you felt his head start to nod off towards a deeper sleep, you guided him to lay down across you, placing his head on your thigh and allowing his lower body to stretch along the length of the couch. He followed willingly, nuzzling his head into your stomach and falling asleep instantly.

And now here you two were, you running your fingers through his hair and just watching his eyes move back and forth across his eyelids. He was dreaming. Hopefully of something good, since he hasn’t stirred since he laid down. You smiled down at him and sighed softly.

“I wish you knew how much I actually love you, Yoongi. I wish you knew how much I love you more than in a ‘sisterly’ way. I love you with all my heart…why can’t you see that?”

~*~

Yoongi woke up a few hours later, looking more well-rested than before. He helped himself to the contents of your fridge before rejoining you on the couch underneath the blanket; the plate of leftovers he scavenged for now resting on the coffee table.

“Y’know, I had the funniest dream.” Yoongi mumbled in a gravely voice, rubbing his eyes with balled up fists. It was obvious he needed more rest, but he wanted to talk, and you were always a sucker for giving him what he wants.

“Oh? What was that?” you asked curiously.

“It was about you. That you told me you loved me.” he explained. You deadpanned for a few seconds before recovering yourself.

“Like, in a brother-sister way?” you asked nervously.

“Nah, like in the romantic way,” Yoongi glanced over at you and smiled slightly. “Funny, right?”

You could feel your heart break in your chest. Your ‘accidental’ confession being rejected, even though Yoongi thought it was just a dream, it still hurt knowing he didn’t like you in that way. You plastered a fake smile on your face.

“Yeah, that’s so weird.” you agreed, shifting away from him slightly. But Yoongi pulled you back, placing a kiss on your forehead gently.

“Thank you for taking care of me, Y/N. I love you.” he told you.

Unbeknownst to you, he really did mean every word he said to you. And just like yours, he felt his heart break as well when you thought his dream funny. Your ‘rejection’ to his ‘confession’ damaging him more than he thought. One day he might tell you his true feelings properly, but for now, he’ll continue to be close to you in this way. The both of you living in an unneeded state of grief of ‘one-sided’ love; when in reality, the love is secretly returned unrequitedly.

One Line Prompts

  1. “You’re gonna kill me? Pfffft. I’d like to see you try.”
  2. “Just remember, I didn’t want to do this.”
  3. “We are gonna go now.”
  4. “Take them away sire!”
  5. “Let the king know this, his eyebrow game. Weak!”
  6. “I’ll murder everyone here! I swear to god I will-.”
  7. “You take me for a fool?”
  8. “Let the Queen decide what she wants.”
  9. “Talking is last century. Hit me up with a letter.”
  10. “I am not a Queen. I am THE Queen.”
  11. “I am down if you are.”
  12. “We are going to a rodeo, why are you dressed like that?”
  13. “Did you just see that?”
  14. “No offence but dude, are you stupid?”
  15. “Why don’t we burn it to the ground?”
  16. “Which is better? Death or working for me?”
  17. “The devil smiles when he sees me.”
