I Do(n’t) Understand - Part 7
I now have 600+ followers and 70+ people on the tag list! Thank y’all so much! :)
Wow, you guys. It’s really been a roller coaster so far! Thank you to anyone who has said kind things about this piece - you’re the reason that chapters keep coming out. Once again, this took longer than expected but I hope it’s worth it!
Double thanks to my beta readers @virgil-has-a-houseplant @I-will-physically-fight-you @virgixiety @digitally-analog for helping with some details this chapter. Each of them contributed their time and ideas and I’m so grateful.
Warnings: Nothing more serious than in previous chapters. (If you have concerns, message me directly or drop into my ask box - I don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable).
Pairings: I’ll let you be the judge of that. Refer to previous chapters for Analogical, Moxiety, Royality, Logicality, and Logince — platonic/romantic is in the eye of the beholder.
Patton sat straight up in bed. His vision was blurry, but he could make out Virgil in the faint moonlight coming through the window. Through Patton’s squinted eyes, Anxiety’s dark makeup looked like two vast voids hiding behind a curtain of bangs. Virgil plunged his fists into the pockets of his hoodie.
“What’s wrong, kiddo?” Patton asked. He reached for his glasses on the nightstand.
“Deceit,” Virgil said. “Somewhere in the mind palace.”
