do things from your soul

I make light in dark minds
You take the signal inward and it shines

Happy Birthday, John Frusciante!

If you're just graduating high school,

or college, or technical school, or need a life pep-talk in general:

Please know that from now on your life may look different from everyone’s around you.
The paths you take may be the same, or they may be dramatically different.
You may choose to go to college, you may choose to travel, you may choose to work, or you may choose one of a million paths that now lie in front of you.

Have the courage to choose what turns on the light in your heart. Don’t let others control that switch and please don’t choose anything out of obligation.
Please know that it’s okay to not do what everyone else is doing. Don’t let guilt keep you from pursuing the things that set your soul on fire. The world is yours and if you have a chance to make some of your dreams come true, do it. It might seem crazy at the time, but I promise you it will be a beautiful story.
