“I’m not taking her with me. She’s dead weight.” Raphael shoots a snarky look in your direction an keeps arguing with Jace.
“You need a shadowhunter with you, there might be a demon and you can’t fight one alone.” Jace keeps insisting.
Raphael had never liked you, always making sarcastic comments your way and staying as far away from you as possible. Honestly you had no idea what you had done to the guy. He didn’t hold much love for any shadowhunter but he seemed to hate you especially.
“I think you’re the only ‘dead weight’ here.” You talk back to him, rolling your eyes.
“See? I can’t deal with her.”
In the end you two headed out together to the dismay of both of you. You were looking for a vampire who had broken the accords. Normally Raphael would have gone to deal with it himself but there had been reports of increasing demon activity in the area, so a shadowhunter had to go too. You didn’t think there actually would be one but better safe than sorry.
There really had been a demon, he jumped on you so quick you barely had time to react. You only managed to push Raphael out of the way, you on the other hand got hit. It wasn’t bad though, you rammed your blade into the thing and it collapsed to the ground.
“You’re hurt.” Raphael kneels down beside you, taking your arm and looking at it.
“I’m fine.” You try to get out of his grip.
“Don’t be so stubborn, let me have a look.”
“Why do you suddenly care, you don’t even like me.”
Raphael lets go and groans in frustration, throwing his hands in the air, “Fine do it yourself then.”
You get out your stele, tracing the needed healing runes, “While we’re at it, why do you hate me so much?”
“I don’t.” He mutters.
“I don’t…but I can’t like a shadowhunter.”
“You like me?” You ask in confusion.
“I didn’t say that.”
“Oh yes you did.” You stand up smirking a little at him.
“Wipe that stupid smirk of your face or I swear I’m going to ignore you for the rest of your short life.”
“You can’t do that.”
“I can and I will.”
You take a quick look around, searching for the vampire but there is no one else around.
“Shall we go back love?” You ask him mockingly.
Raphael gives you a look that could kill, “Don’t you dare tell anyone I said that I like you.”
