Riley follows.<p/><b>Riley:</b> Why do you need to talk to Farkle?<p/><b>Auggie:</b> I have my reasons.<p/><b>Riley:</b> I'm staying.<p/><b>Auggie:</b> No.<p/><b></b> Auggie closes the door and locks it.<p/><b>Farkle:</b> What are we going to talk about?<p/><b>Auggie:</b> (points to a small chair) Sit down!<p/><b>Farkle:</b> (gulps) Ok.<p/><b></b> Farkle moves the chair closer to Auggie.<p/><b>Farkle:</b> Are you going to tell-<p/><b>Auggie:</b> Shhhh! (Takes out a cell phone and calls someone) It's me. It finally happened. I need back up and bring him too.<p/><b>Farkle:</b> Who are you talking to?<p/><b>Auggie:</b> You'll find out soon enough.<p/><b></b> They sit there awkwardly.<p/><b></b> Five minutes later.<p/><b></b> Auggie's window opens from the outside. He's useless to me.<p/><b>Auggie:</b> (sighs) Yes dear. (Looks at Doy) Doy, come with me.<p/><b></b> Auggie and Doy walk to the window.<p/><b>Auggie:</b> See you tomorrow at school.<p/><b>Doy:</b> But I want to stay.<p/><b>Ava:</b> We can't always get what we want. Go!<p/><b></b> Doy looks at Auggie.<p/><b>Auggie:</b> Sorry Doy. I have to listen to the wife.<p/><b></b> Doy leaves.<p/><b></b> Auggie closes the window.<p/><b>Ava:</b> Now comes the serious questions.<p/><b>Farkle:</b> I can take it.<p/><b>Ava:</b> We'll see. Doy was the good cop. Except he was bad at it. I'm the bad cop. I'm great at being bad. There's no more playing around.<p/><b></b> Farkle's knee starts bouncing.<p/><b>Ava:</b> Nervous?<p/><b>Farkle:</b> A little.<p/><b>Ava:</b> Good. You should be.<p/><b></b> To be continued...<p/></p><p/></p><p/></p>

Need Your Support

One reason I got into makeup is to inspire, especially inspire black women. I still get customers/clients that say “I can’t wear certain shades because of my skintone.” Thought I show them they can and they start beaming. That moment of excited is why I love what I do and why I want to be successful in the beauty industry.

Makeup is not just a hobby for me, this is my passion, craft and how I make money. I don’t ask ya’ll to support my instagram just because. I ask because without support I can get more opportunities as fast. Yes, I have been noticed by shea moisture, stila and bh cosmetics but never featured.

Sadly your follower count does play a factor. I feel like being black and plus size plays a factor too. So I’m always thankful for the love and support I do get. I appreciate all of you that reblog my looks or ask my questions.

So if you can please follow my Instagram: the_queen_bambee and Snapchat: queen_bambee. It would help a lot.

To my followers (tbh everyone is welcome 💜)

So okay guys now i have 22 followers and one reason i made this blog was to talk to you, about your worries and problems.

If you are sad because of something that drives you crazy, if you just don’t know what to do anymore , if you think you don’t show yourself enough respect, if you want to talk about society or if you want to ask me questions about confidence, uniqueness and self acceptance , i am anytime here to talk to you guys.
And tbh we all have something inside ourselves that is slowly killing us.

You can trust me, if you want to talk about something then please text me. I made this blog to help people, because i love it to talk to people about things that matter.
I love it to hear stories from other people and having a real conversation with them.
And i really care about all of you and i don’t want you to have issues later on just because you didn’t have a person to talk to.

I want to help, because i know how it feels like when you have nobody that would listen to every word you say and would stay by your side anytime…

And to feel this feeling is actually really sad, because having a trustworthy fellow in your life is just too beautiful.

What would Sherri Do?  rme, lol

I have had several people ask me if I was Sam’s publicist, what I would advise Sam to do.  I thought I would answer them all at once here.

So, in a fantasy world, where I had Sam Heughan’s ear and he valued (and paid for) my many opinions, I would advise him to open all new private accounts for all SM platforms.

From these private accounts he could follow any asshole, former girlfriend, fitness babe, paleo  diet, oatmeal shop he wants to.  BUT that his current accounts need to be culled of all of that stuff.

My reasoning?  These are no longer his personal accounts.  These are his work accounts.  He uses them to promote Barbour, Outlander, MPC, and other projects.  That will be the first place that current and potential employers will look.  They will want to see a person whose integrity is not under question.  They will want to see someone who engages with all sections of his fans in a helpful and happy way.  They will want to know that as a spokesperson for their product (be it shirts, charity, tv, film, or healthy eating) he will be a positive representation of that.

@SamHeughan is a brand.  It is an entity.  I would advise him to recognize it as such.  That doesn’t mean not being genuine in what he tweets or posts.  It just means that he needs to see it from all sides except personal.  He can and should continue to have fun and joke around.  That is part of his great charm. I would strongly encourage that he continue that.  He should continue to share things that are important to him or that pique his interests.  That gives his fans a sense of connection.  There should be more of that.  But he needs to stop thinking that these accounts are the same as they were 6 years ago.

anonymous asked:

I'm a senior in undergrad and I was wondering how do you go about following up with people in the industry that you meet at conferences like GDC? What are appropriate reasons to contact them if you exchange business cards?

It’s actually pretty easy. You just need to reach out to them on a professional level with a legitimate inquiry. Ask questions that wouldn’t be too personal, but could potentially prompt discussion. Then, once you start up a discussion, present yourself professionally and not just as a fan.

Imagine you and I exchanged business cards at GDC, and we’ve subsequently connected on LinkedIn or something. You see that my title is Cinematic Designer. Later on, you add me on LinkedIn, facebook, or some other social media site. At some point, you can try asking me a question that’s at least tangentially related to my specialty. Don’t just ask out of the blue, though! Provide some context and make it feel more like a conversation than an interview. You’re trying to build a professional relationship with this person, and the first part of that is treating him or her as a fellow human being.

Here’s a few sample questions that would get me thinking:

  • Hey, my coworkers and I were thinking about a cinematic conversation system in our project. I know you’ve had a lot of experience with that on (insert project title here), what would you say are the biggest pitfalls to watch out for?
  • Hey, I was playing (insert project title here) and I noticed that their levels are designed to always draw the player’s eyes towards screen right. Do you think it was intentional? Why do you think they did that?
  • Hey, did you see (insert game title) at E3? I noticed (some impressive feature that is relevant to the person’s expertise), and started thinking about it. How did they do that? Could it be (insert theory about how it was done)?

When you construct a question like this to reach out to a developer, you need it to establish a few major things immediately:

  • You recognize and value this person’s expertise and opinion
  • You are also someone with some expertise in the field and you want to “talk shop”, not just a fan
  • You want a discussion/conversation, not just an answer

Be careful when you ask the question. Discussing specific details about a system the person would be the expert on is the best way to do this. Don’t get too discouraged if they do not respond either. Sometimes people are busy, sometimes they are just not interested. Take the time to have a conversation and build on that… one discussion could lead to future conversations. I once reached out to a cinematic designer at Bioware about the use of shaky camera in movies vs game cinematics, and we ended up talking about all sorts of other topics.

Remember, your primary goal is to build a professional relationship with other professionals in the field. In order to start this, you need to have conversations and discussions with other professionals. This means that you have to be professional yourself in order to build a professional relationship. Respect the person, respect the craft, and respect the opinions presented.

It finally happened, I hit the 5k mark! :)

It happened yesterday tbh, but I decided I’d take some time to make this post properly.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, I am planning to make a video post to celebrate the milestone. People have been asking me to make a video post (of me) for ages, so I figured this would be a good excuse to finally do it.

So, what does that mean?

It means I’m going to do a video AMA, answering pretty much any question you, my awesome followers, might have! (Within reason of course, no gross stuff please.) For that to happen, I need questions from you, so just drop them by my ask box, marking it “AMA” so I know it is for the video. This can be done anonymously or with your tumblr nick (if you are off anon, I’ll mention you).

I’ll try to answer as many questions as I can, but that does of course depend on the amount I get. I’ll take questions for the rest of the week days and start to work on the video during the weekend. Hopefully It’ll be ready Monday, so stay tuned! :)

Thanks for following me!

(I’ll probably spam this post a bit until Friday, please don’t hate me :P )

so i’ve gotten some really great feedback on my DA2 character positivity sheets so far and i’ve gotten a few asks about the general format of the posts so i thought i’d answer them here.

basically what i’m doing is posting positive character posts for each member of the kirkwall crew at least once a day. why? because i’ve seen a lot of hate in character tags, fandom wank galore, etc. so i thought since i have a decent fandom presence why not use it to spread some love.

i do ask that no one posts derailing comments or tags on these posts though—i don’t really care if you don’t like X character for whatever reason or about Y problematic thing they’ve done. if you feel the need to vocalize your negativity, do it in your own space. that’s not what these positivity posts are for. if you’ve been following me or have seen my posts at all you know i’m fairly critical of bioware and pretty much all the characters to some degree, but these posts are not for criticism and all i ask is “don’t be an asshole.” easy enough right?

anyway! the tentative order i’m going to post the sheets are as follows so be sure to keep a look out for your fave:

  1. fenris (completed)
  2. isabela (completed)
  3. merrill
  4. anders
  5. varric
  6. bethany
  7. carver
  8. sebastian
  9. aveline
