Oh wow. That's neat! How long does it take you to typically breed a perfect Pokemon?

It’s really a game of luck - the chance of having the right IVs with two 5 IV parents is 1 in 6 per shiny Pokemon I find (if they inherit the wrong IV there’s a 1 in 32 chance it might still be perfect). So that can take anywhere between a few days to weeks/months.

For example, my most recent project is a shiny Eevee with hidden ability and HP Ground. With all those variables involved there’s a 1 in 24 chance of any shiny Eevee I find of having those conditions. I’m at 3,000 eggs right now so this one is going to take months when I get back to it.

But for just the 5 IVs I would say days to weeks unless you get really unlucky. This is with Masuda Method and Shiny Charm.

Really weird question, but are your Pokemon naturally raised? Like did you breed that shiny loppuny? Or are your Pokemon altered through cheats? Because how does everyone have competitive shiny Pokemon

I like to be safe and make sure my Pokemon are legal so I breed them myself! It is a pain to get the right IVs but I feel like it’s worth it in the end! c: I enjoy shiny hunting and having VGC legal Pokemon~

Incidentally that Lopunny I used was part of a shiny trio from a batch 750 eggs!
