“I’m not a huge fan of the idea of Disney live-action remakes, but if Disney has to do them, I wish they would remake films that NEED a redo…ones that didn’t do well at the box office, ones that could do with some improvements to the story or characters. It makes much more sense to me to try to give The Black Cauldron or The Sword in the Stone a new lease on life through live action than to hopelessly try to recreate perfection by remaking Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King.”

Know what the issue is with all the live action remakes? Half of them are of movies we already have in live action. Cinderella, Peter Pan, Snow White, I’ve seen these already give me something different.

If you feel the need to churn out the same story, at least make it something that has never been live action, like the sword in the stone, or Atlantis, or Lilo & Stitch.

C’mon disney, you can do better
