drarry hc: Weird habits Or dancers AU Or the one where Harry loves watching Draco do the dishes Or or or Ahhhans
Draco didn’t need to turn around to know that he was being watched. The only thing he just couldn’t figure out was why.
At first Draco was sure he was imagining things, but in the weeks since they’d first moved into a flat together his suspicions had been wholly confirmed.
Harry liked to watch him do the dishes.
Draco couldn’t understand why Harry was constantly staring at him when he did them. At first he’d been defensive, snapping at him that first night that he could certainly do some things without magic and how Harry didn’t need to stare. Only instead of getting angry Harry had looked embaressed before mumbling something unintelligible and leaving the room.
A few days later he’d caught him staring and tried to make a joke of it, “Got a kink that involves yellow dish gloves and a sink of dirty dishes, Potter?”
Harry had just blinked a few times, before closing his eyes and disapperating with a loud pop so sudden Draco had dropped his favorite teacup.
Which is why, despite the fact that he can feel Harry’s eyes on him once again as he cleans up the remnants of the steak and kidney pie they’d had he doesn’t make any funny jokes or snide remarks. Instead he stays silent despite the curiosity burning a hole in his brain.
It’s a few weeks before the subject is broached again.
Draco is puttering around the kitchen, placing the dishes from tea in the sink when Harry comes up behind him, wrapping his arms around him and squeezing him in a firm hug. There’s something shaky in his voice when he whispers “Do you want to know why I like watching you do the dishes?”
Draco is almost too nervous to speak, so he nods instead. He’s almost afraid Harry hasn’t noticed his nod though because he doesn’t speak at first, but then Draco quite suddenly he feels Harry press the side of his face against Draco’s shoulder inhaling deeply before he starts to speak.
“I never thought I’d have this…someone to share things with like this. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon were always so angry. She used to slam the dishes into the sink like she resented having to cook or clean for us, or she made me do them. I used to think that was just what family was like. Then I met the Weasley’s and I remember the first time I saw Mrs. Weasley doing dishes without magic…she told me she didn’t mind because it meant she had a family to take care of. You….you look like that when you do them; as if it’s not a chore. It makes me feel,” and at this Draco can feel Harry’s hands begin to shake. “It sounds stupid I know but….seeing you so happy even doing our dishes makes me think you’re happy with me. That we’re gonna make it. That…you won’t ever leave.”
Draco swallows, feeling like his entire world is spinning because they don’t do this….this talking about feelings things often. Both of them have always been better with actions than words. But for once he knows actions won’t be enough.
So Draco turns, placing his hand on Harry’s chin and tilting his head up just a bit so he’s looking him in the eye.
“I’m not leaving, Harry. Not ever. I want this life and I want you.”

30 Days of AA Challenge ✬ Day 29: Character You Want to Cosplay
So I found out a few months back that my sister and I match Trucy and Apollo’s height difference exactly so we’re gonna cosplay them together. We’re adding a couple adjustments (which is why i gave her outfit more frill and stuff, and drew her w/ freckles and brown eyes to look more like me) but I’m looking forward to it! (I also wanna cosplay susato but I already drew her so shhhh)
For a beginning taxidermist what do you think are some good essentials for a beginner's toolkit? Like what knives do you recomment for someone who wants to keep bones and skins? Types of bags to keep around? Anything like that?
Plastic Bags for small animals (I just save my grocery bags)
Arm length gloves for shifting through large maceration tubs
Spade (digging through rot pots)
70% Isopropyl Alcohol
Gloves from glove world
91% Isopropyl Alcohol
Guantes (that’s Spanish, for gloves)
Jackal’s Closet of Vulture Magic:
PHEW, ok long list but that’s pretty much everything that like to have at all times depending on what I’m processing and how I decide to process it c:! The more/better tools and supplies you have the more options you have for salvaging as much of the animals you get as you can ;o;! I also suggest buying things like salt, gloves, and peroxide in bulk since you’ll p much always need thing like that, and pick up items though necessity as you go! I hope this helps c:
So I made this cause I think a lot of people have trouble finding a groove when cleaning their apartment or dorm room. It’s super important to do cause dirty dorm rooms are why everyone has to get their meningitis shot before school. Here is what I recommend doing. At most it takes 45 minutes but usually it will take me around 25 minutes to do all of this in a standard sized double, so there’s really no reason not to.
You are doing both yourself and your roommate a disservice when you don’t clean your room. Also! No one wants to be the homie with the stinky room, so below I’ve added a list of cleaning supplies and a step by step guide on how you can keep your room inhabitable and reduce your risk of getting sick during the year.
-Lysol All-Purpose Disinfecting Wipes
-Clorox Bleach in a Spray Bottle*
-Dust Pan & Broom
-Toilet Scrubber (You can find a cheap one at a dollar store)*
-Swiffer Wet Jet/Dirt Devil Wet Spray Mop
-Fabuloso if you get the Dirt Devil (Green Apple scent is my personal favorite)
-MicroFiber cloth or a Swiffer Duster
-Febreeze Fabric Freshener
-Rubber Gloves (Optional)
-Clorox Toilet Bowl Cleaner in a bottle (Optional)*
*if you have a bathroom
So heres the dealio kiddos!
Step 1: Make your bed! Shake out any blankets or throws and let any debris on them fall to the ground. Put any dirty plates or cutlery to the side and out of the way, or stick them in your sink if you have one.
Step 2: Start with your microfiber cloth/duster or wipes and start wiping down every surface. If you have crumbs on a desk or chair feel free to wipe them onto the ground we will get them next.
Step 3: Grab your Vacuum and/or Broom and dustpan and start getting all of that debris off your floor. You will be surprised how much dust, crumbs and miscellaneous items there are. Sometimes I vacuum and then sweep just to make sure I get any grains of sand or dirt stuck in corners out, cause I don’t like the feeling of it sticking to my feet, or getting in my bed, cause then it’s gritty.
Step 4: Grab your mop and start wet mopping all over the place. This will make the place smell so nice and get any sort of thing stuck to the ground that you missed. The nice thing about the Dirt Devil spray mop is you can add any cleaner you want and just stick the pad in the washing machine when you need to clean it as opposed to the wet jet, where you need to buy pads and cleaner cartridges.
Step 5: Febreeze over your bed, febreeze over your roommates bed (make sure they aren’t allergic to febreeze), febreeze your chair if it has fabric. Basically Febreeze any fabric in the room.
Now! You’re basically done. If you have a bathroom, repeat the steps above and additionally:
Cleaning your Shower: Remove any items from your shower. Get gloves, paper towels, and clorox bleach spray. Spray the Clorox Bleach on the plastic part of your shower curtain and then wipe down with paper towels. Spray all over the inside of the shower and wait 2 minutes. Turn the shower on and let it rinse off anything it can reach. Turn off the shower and wipe down anything it didn’t reach.
Cleaning your Toilet: Lift the seats of the toilet. Get the toilet bowl cleaner or spray bleach, toilet scrubber, rubber gloves, and paper towels/disinfectant wipes. Use the toilet bowl cleaner, or the spray bleach to coat the inside of the toilet with cleaner. Grab your scrubber and give it a good scrub. Flush! Now you can use the disinfectant wipes or the spray bleach and paper towels to wipe down the seats, back and handle of the toilet.
Cleaning your dishes: Get your sponge, rubber gloves, and dish soap. Let your plates and cutlery soak in hot water for 2 minutes, if you don’t have a stopper you can let the hot water run over them. Put dish soap on your sponge and start scrubbing those dishes under warm water. When you’re done with cleaning an item, wipe them dry with a paper towel or regular towel and put them to the side. You can also set up some paper towels on a surface and lay them on there to dry while you continue washing. When you’re done washing the dishes, lift every item off the sink and use the same sponge to wash down the sink and rinse it with water. Now you’ve also cleaned your sink!
Things people forget to clean: microwave, mini fridge, desk surface, door handles, windows.
Other helpful tips:
Once you’ve cleaned it fully(I do this every week or every other week) you can mop your floor quickly every day or every other day to keep it grit free. If you see dirt or feel it, just sweep or mop it up; it’ll make the next big clean easier.
Change/Wash your sheets every 1-2 weeks, especially if you have sensitive skin! Dirty shams can give you acne.
When using bleach be careful! A) it can ruin your clothes and B) it is an irritant so avoid getting it on your skin. If you do, wash it off as soon as possible.
Tell us about someone good in your life? Tell us what makes them great?
((OOC: I’m going to say my mum. Her name is Cathy, and she is where I got about 80% of my cuteness from. She is an absolute sweetheart, and she has devoted so much of her life to making sure her family is safe and supported. When my sister and I were very wee, my dad decided that he wanted to get his BA in Music, which meant moving across the country, taking acting jobs to pay for school, but otherwise being unable to provide much financially. My mother took on a job in the school dad went to, in the HR department. And she has worked university jobs ever since, doing the full 9-5 work week, so that my dad could have the freedom to pursue his dream. Now they both work in different schools, and mum writes novels on the side. She’s an absolute wonder, and I love her to bits.
Also, she makes incredible dumplings, and she has a wicked laugh, and she will occasionally now send me pictures of hunky actors with their shirts off. She’s given me permission to marry Daniel Radcliffe if I want to, because she thinks he’d be a laugh at family get-togethers. She is the best mum.))
He was everything I aspired to be. I did the most embarrassing things to be like him, haha. I made my mother buy me sparkly socks on which I wore when I tried to learn how to moonwalk on the wooden floor. I fell over many times and failed to learn how to do so. I wanted the glove but since we weren’t rich, she got me a spongy dish washing glove instead..haha.
I bought many fedoras and I remember beaming with excitement the day I had found a white one with a black stripe. It was the smooth criminal hat, I had to have it. I still have all these things. It’s my childhood after all. I even have letters that I addressed to him. Those are bittersweet. He was the first person to really let me know what the world was like and how it needed our help.
His love for children..which at the time included me. I was astounded and overwhelmed. I couldn’t believe that he loved me. I felt so blessed. This man who didn’t even know me, insisted that he loved me. His love for not only children but his fans..it’s intense and I still feel it today. It’s heartfelt. I suppose he was like the male figure that I never had.
He loved me when my father didn’t.
It’s emotional now because it’s eight years later and yet I remember it like yesterday. I’m no longer a child and I’ve lost my innocence. I sometimes long for the days when Michael Jackson was the only artist I loved. It was a simpler and pleasant time then.
I was a child when I fell in love with Michael Jackson. I’m now a young woman who’s still in love with Michael Jackson and I feel so blessed to have discovered him during my childhood. I feel blessed to have loved him as a child because I wasn’t judgemental like most adults. I just accepted him whole heartedly and that’s why he loved us, that’s why he loved me.
When I see the children of today..they’re not as innocent and naive as they used to be. When I lose hope in the children of today, I try and remember that there’s still a lot of loving children out there because Michael Jackson’s message and philosophy reminds me. I’m living proof that I was a child that was once so full of love.
A child who loved a man, a child in a man’s body.
Since I’m older and have matured, I now understand and get the full extent of the suffering that Michael Jackson had to endure. It’s painful, my god it’s painful. It makes me cry. I’m almost glad I didn’t understand when I was little. I probably wouldn’t be able to comprehend it anyway.
He was a beautiful, compassionate, loving and sensitive man. He didn’t do shit to the world. The world did shit to him. And I hate the world for that. I can only hope to forgive all those people, just like he did.
Because in a perfect world, I imagine Michael Jackson..full of life and love. Living in Neverland Ranch with his children. No pains or struggles. But it’s not that way and oh, has the world changed since that dreadful day. I hate it and despite being the atheist that I am, I’m trying so hard to believe that Michael Jackson is happy and that he’s in a happier place.
That man is responsible for my upbringing. I wouldn’t be who I am today without Michael Jackson. Sure, I’ve changed a lot since I was a child.
But at heart, I’m still a child. I’m still a frightened little girl at times and in those times of despair..I know that I’ll always have Michael Jackson to console me.
Anonymous said: Hi! I loooove all your stories, they’re amazing and you’re an extremely talented writer! Can I request an Asa fic where the reader meets Asa and doesn’t like him and first but he likes that she’s kinda cynical and they end up together? Sorry if that sounds dumb lol but I love your blog!!
oh, he's caught ignis' exhaustion and he knew, for a fact, that he did not help the cause. while alone, he moves to carefully pull the glasses off his face to fold it and place in his pocket. "ignis, just sleep," he spoke softly, placing a gloved hand upon the others own. "i'll... wash dishes tonight."
Is he that conspicuous when holding his mug there is a slight tremor that haunts his grasp? Lines beneath his eyes? A worn out vexation that shadows his shoulders when preparing their meal for the evening? He is supposed to be the concrete foundation of stability and reliability–those words stated by King Regis himself–for the group, for his friends. The reassuring prod he is to deliver, be self sustaining and the calm sensibility they can rely upon in times of need and danger. Sometimes…he woefully forgets that he too…is human and not a thriving, wired robot with a module of constant functionality. The command of his prince falls of deaf ears for a split second; lips down turn in perplexion before processing the demand. A smudge taken aback from the gesture of removing his spectacles. He hesitates in protesting further from the immediate touch of the hand and the mellow coaxing of words.
❛ Are you…sure– ❜ He must look more distressed than he comprehends if Noct himself is offering to clean and assist.
❛ I….very well. Thank you. ❜
Six hadn’t known why, when she asked him. She vaguely remembered that he’d always been more interested in human culture and traditions, while Four had gone off learning science with a single-minded passion that her replacement couldn’t remember feeling for anything since her carapace had hardened and her memories had started being properly recorded again.
Six said that it was probably just one of those weird human things, putting flowers everywhere at a time like this. She thought they were pretty. She knew Four wouldn’t have.
