Dirty Grits is the conceptual catalyst of a dancer, choreographer, wordplay fanatic and powerhouse performance artist. Bringing together the immediacy of intersections in race, gender, class, sexuality and faith, Dirty Grits is ready to spit in the eye of traditional performance, while rolling out a red carpet to invite it inside. They are a dreamer and a believer and through their work they will make you one too. We are overwhelmingly excited and proud to see the collaborative movement piece they will be debuting at Queer, Ill, & Okay. Not to be missed!

Donate today (click through) to support artists like Dirty Grits tell their stories. How chronic illness has impacted their life and how it has shaped them as an artist and creator. Show support, share the love!

Dirty Grits

LEX·I·CA is a celebration of the ways in which we communicate with one another and the knowledge we share in this process. Collaborations! Energy spasms! More than survival. We get down to the grit, the deep queer, the post-queer, the ultradimensional and transcendent.

We take risks, challenge norms, resist and thrive on the stage, in the crowd and on the dance floor.

Come join us tonight! The theme for this Salonathon: LEX·I·CA is  RESIST / / SUBMIT!
