directed energy

A Lexicon of Liches, Witches, Wizards and More! (Part 1)

Fire sweeps across the battlefield, burning and immolating everything in its wake. waves of fire thrown everywhere as a lone figure plans where to place his next fiery explosion. in the end nothing remains except ash and the smell of burning flesh;

With a single command the dead rise, husks of unholy energy being directed by the will of another. ghouls, bones and shadows march endlessly at your discretion to devour all that lives. in the end, entire cities fall and are raised as a lich creates his army;

Madness is released on the world as eldrich horrors are born and studied. methodologically transmutated experiments creating something more adept at killing then the world has ever seen before. the mad experimenter opens the cage, realizing the beast to the populace to document its effectiveness.

To certain individuals, only one thing matters. Power; the power to destroy, to deceive, to attain absolute grasp on those of lesser merrit. yet, when magics have the ability to bend even reality, naught one is above the mastery of the spellcaster.

Two block buster studies show its the FAT

A review of the carbohydrate–insulin model of obesity

K D Hall

The carbohydrate–insulin model of obesity theorizes that diets high in carbohydrate are particularly fattening due to their propensity to elevate insulin secretion. Insulin directs the partitioning of energy toward storage as fat in adipose tissue and away from oxidation by metabolically active tissues and purportedly results in a perceived state of cellular internal starvation. In response, hunger and appetite increases and metabolism is suppressed, thereby promoting the positive energy balance associated with the development of obesity. Several logical consequences of this carbohydrate–insulin model of obesity were recently investigated in a pair of carefully controlled inpatient feeding studies whose results failed to support key model predictions. Therefore, important aspects of carbohydrate–insulin model have been experimentally falsified suggesting that the model is too simplistic.

All calories are not equal—cutting dietary fat is more effective than cutting carbohydrates

Restricting the amount of calories consumed as fat results in greater loss of body fat than restricting calories from carbohydrates, according to a new study.

I can’t believe anyone can continue telling people otherwise…  We are turning up the heat on these dietary myths and have a community of people living the proof and spreading the truth & helping others repeat their success on WSLF.

A Witch’s Wand

In witchcraft, a wand is used for directing energy in rituals and spells. It represents energy, power, and fertility, and is used as both air and fire element. Each wand can be as unique as the witch that wields it.

🌟 To Build:

Unlike brooms, wands require very little work put into their production, unless you want to. Some traditions call for a witch to find their wand in a fallen branch and forbid against breaking one off the tree. Carving is optional, as is the choice to embed it with crystals, wrap it with wire, tie with ribbon, carve sigils, etc.

A few possibilities for wands based on wood magic correspondences:

ALDER— Weather magic, necromancy, courage and passion

ALMOND— Wisdom, prosperity, love magic, healing

BIRCH— Intuition, creativity, love, healing, protection

ELDER— Healing, protection, banishment

HAZEL— Truth, divination

HOLLY— Purity, sun magic, strength, protection, luck

OAK— Protection, fertility, strength

REDWOOD— “King of trees”, strength, protection, creativity, enlightenment

ROWAN— Defense, creation, travel

WILLOW— Healing, protection, spirit work

YEW— Strength, change

🌟 Note:

However, please note, a wand does not need to be made out of wood. A wand can be found in many things and anything that is dear to you. A spoon, a pencil, a wrench, a plastic toy wand. If you can find magic within the instrument, it is a wand.

  • Sun: Our inner and outer glow
  • Moon: The person we become when we need our mother
  • Mercury: The chatterbox in the mind
  • Venus: Senses, the music of the heart
  • Mars: Directed energy, impulse, surges
  • Jupiter: The voice of celebration, encouragement, the treasure map
  • Saturn: The critical parent voice
  • Neptune: What we seek for redemption
  • Uranus: Light bulb 'eureka' moments
  • Pluto: The soul's manuscript

You know what I love about Witchcraft, is that as soon as you realize Witches of old used what they had to do what they need, things just start to click into place. They used cauldron’s because that’s what was in their kitchen, they made a great deal of things, because that was cheaper then buying ready made, they wrote in those big ole leather bound books because that’s what they had. And if you ever stressed about not being a real Witch because you don’t have any of these things that goes right away. (I mean it still would be nice to own a nice cauldron but i don’t need to have one!)

It’s just beautiful everything is beautiful and nothing is wrong, your path, your tools, your methods are valid.

Tips for Writing Spell Incantations

Keep it simple. I like to memorize my incantations. It just keeps the spell moving smoothly. So keep it simple, keep it short.

Rhyme. Rhyming helps me get in the witchy mindset. It just feels more like magic to me. It also helps with memorization. Some paths (Wicca, mostly) believe that rhyming binds a spell and increases its chances for a desirable result.

One word can be an incantation. Words can help focus a spell and direct its energy, but the magic itself comes from within you. Repeating one word or phrase over and over again is definitely a good way to approach spell work. For example, my general curse spell simply requires the repetition of the phrase, “Pain, Panic, Dread.”

Find a multi-purpose ending. I was raised Catholic, and while I’m no longer part of the faith, I definitely got into the mental habit of saying ‘Amen’ after a prayer, which to me signaled the end of my Important Communication with Higher Power. So when I started practicing witchcraft, I wanted something that would signal the end of a spell. While I don’t do this for every spell, I tend to end most of them with either, “Let it be done” or “So mote it be.” Note that the latter is a Wiccan phrase, not a general witchcraft phrase.

Find inspiration. Lyrics, poems, and lines from plays or book are all great places to look for words for spells. So if you’re not much of writer, don’t sweat it.

Incantations don’t need to be spoken. If you don’t want to speak, or if you can’t, you can think it or mouth the words. Or, if neither of those work for you, you can also write it down, or go a step further and turn your incantation into a sigil (though I don’t recommend this if you’re using other sigils in your spell).

BUT, if you do speak your incantation, play with your voice. I whisper or hiss for curses, I speak normally for other spells, I sing for glamours and love spells. The way you speak can influence your spell as a whole.

Be confident and comfortable. Whatever you end up saying during a spell, make sure that it is true to you and your craft and that you are comfortable saying it. This is your spell, and you should be proud of it :)

Crystal and Stone Cuts

How Different Shapes Can Influence Energy Flow

By Rainy-Day-Witchcraft

This post a little spinoff from my “Explaining Crystal Healing” post, and describes how energy is directed throughout a stone based on the different, both cut and raw, shapes of gemstones. Enjoy ♡

  • Natural Point(s)⌇Best used when energy is meant to be concentrated and pointed in a specific direction. If a stone has more than one point, the energy will also tend to be directed in those multiple directions. Larger points make wonderful wands!
  • Grounded Point/Obelisk⌇Stronger version of the (natural) pointed stone, as the bottom of an obilisk-shaped crystal is flat, and allowing for a more grounded directional energy. Because these are meant to be placed standing and pointing upwards, they are best used when energy is needed to be pointed up from a flat surface.
  • Double-Terminated⌇Think of these cuts as having two poles, like the earth, moving energy in a elongated sphere around the crystal. Energy is taken in by each point and added to the ‘bubble’ of energy the crystal can work with.
  • Tumbled⌇Crystals and stones that have been tumbled (yet not quite into a perfect sphere) will have energy that softly emits in all directions, sometimes directionally varied if the stone is a little more abstractly shaped.
  • Natural/Raw⌇Energy flow with naturally shaped and formed stones, while being stronger than man-made stones, tends to be more sporadic than smoother or more even stones (unless, of course, the stone forms naturally with a smooth texture). Energy flow depends on the shape and texture of each mineral - Rough, cubed, pointed, etc.
  • Faceted/Multiple-Faced⌇Energy in and around faceted gemstones, such as those commonly used in jewelry, will be given off similarly to how a mirror or glass pane reflects/directs light; In this example, think of each face of the stone as glass, and energy as the light. This method of energy flow also applies to multiple-faced, non-pointed stones, such as some varieties of raw minerals that grow with cubed or edged faces.
  • Spherical⌇Crystal balls and spheres will give off energy in an evenly distributed way, as you expect a perfect sphere would. Spherical gemstones that are translucent and able to focus light (similarly to how a magnifying class can focus sunlight) can also direct energy in one direction if used in certain ways.
  • “Palm” Stone⌇Palm stones are similar to spherical stones in that they emit energy in a constant way, though these stones are more grounded. Because of their grounded nature and palm-like shape, these types of stones are ideal for emotional healing, grounding, or stress.
  • Worry Stone⌇Worry stones are created to, just as the name suggests, decrease or eliminate worry! These are made to work a bit differently than others; the piezoelectric energy of the stone is made to be given off as a trigger to physical touching or rubbing one’s thumb on the slightly concaved area of the stone. Besides metaphysical healing purposes, these are also made to give a person something do fiddle with in their hands to take the mind off worry.
Good Luck Jar Spell

🌌gather:
🍀 a little jar
🍀 gold glitter (represents fortune)
🍀 cinnamon (good luck, fast action)
🍀 allspice (luck)
🍀 four leaf clovers (the more the merrier!)
🍀 ginger (power, success)
🍀 tumeric (luck)
🍀 coffee (stimulant)
🍀 optional: sigils for luck and fortune

As you add the ingredients to the jar, focus on what each ingredient is there for. Visualize each ingredient adding a little luck to the bottle and visualize yourself being fortunate. I like to play music to help raise and direct the energy (a good one for this would be Best Day of My Life by American Authors).

Once it is all in the jar, really focus on directing your energy into the the jar. If you are the praying type, Saint Christopher would be appropriate to call upon. The Bible verse I use is Jeremiah 29:11.

Let it charge in the sun for about an hour (or however long you deem necessary).

I personally would recharge this before each use, to ensure full energy.

Good luck! 🍀🌌

How to create a protective servitor

Protective spells are a common way to shield yourself from various types of threats, whether it be negative energy or direct attacks from others. The major problem with these types of spells is that they require a lot of energy. In chaos magick, a servitor is basically a program created by you to do a specific task. In this case, we’ll be creating a servitor specifically for spiritual protection.

Mercury Retrograde (19th Dec - 8th Jan)

Tomorrow Mercury goes into retrograde, which will last 20 days, in the signs Capricorn and Sagittarius.
As this retrograde will become closely aligned with Pluto, it is a time of deep self analysis and discovery.

You may feel deceived and stressed by friendships as new information and truths come to surface. BUT KEEP IN MIND that trying to be ‘the winner’ by forcing your perspective onto others is going to do you no good during this retrograde.

From the Capricorn Mercury ® to the Sagittarius Mercury ® there will be themes of power struggles and avoiding defeat. But you can avoid making outside situations worse by directing this energy into yourself rather than others. This is a good time to find out something about yourself, or to prove something to yourself.

So for the end of this year and begining and of 2017, try and reflect new information onto yourself. Find the truth from within YOUR soul, not from the ego of others.
Take responsibility for what is really going on inside you versus what you choose to express. Turn this into something that can give you freedom for the new year coming.

My Psychic Enhancement Tips

Here are my psychic enhancement tips! I recently shared them with my friend, and thought you all might get some use out of them as well.

1. Learn how to meditate. Even if you only sit there for five minutes, focusing on directing your thoughts and energy towards opening yourself up to the world and crossing the veil between the physical realm and the astral one will help, even if it’s slight. I found energetic meditations especially helped me clear my head, and open my eyes.

2. Use crystals. Make gem elixir with the non-soluble, non-toxic ones, meditate with them, and sleep with them nearby. Keeping them in your vicinity will naturally raise your vibrations and bring your gifts to the surface.

3. Use essential oils. Not only will it help you get into a meditative state if you put them on each time you meditate, but they will also help you by infusing you with their energy and power.

4. Practice divination. It helps hone in your intuitive skills, and can open the door to more advanced practices like scrying, which is reliant on your sole psychic abilities and intuition.

5. Take detox or ritual baths. Clean out the gunk in your body and within your aura, using Epsom salt, essential oils, and even magical items like candles and crystals. Just be safe and read up on detox baths before you attempt them.

6. Listen to binaural beats at a high frequency. It will help raise yours, and will simultaneously put you in the meditative mindset needed to aid you in psychic awareness. There is music mixed in with some binaural beats for easy listening as well.

7. Use sigils. Create your own or find some lovely ones to use, and write them all over.

8. Burn candles and incense to add energy to your intent. Then smoke/fire scry using the fire/smoke!

Well, this is all I can think of at the moment. I hope this helps!

The Virgo is quick witted, clever, adept with words,
and wicked swift with analysis. The individual directs a lot of energy through the mind, like she can wander through valleys of symbols and
language to escape to a place where only her thoughts exist. This can be
maddening or magic, and a conscious Virgo will be a writer
for the divine, a messenger of the highest power. It’s like she is the flowery scribe
that flitters by God’s side, writing down his every ideal
and sketching his purest and perfect imagination, in perfect detail. Hermes transported souls to the underworld, so he had the ability to fly into every realm of consciousness.
In the same way Virgos can slip between their thoughts and travel
to unconscious lagoons and meet rapturous states of ideas and wander. And the Virgo is a very curious person, many Virgos had their
heads stuck in a book for much of the childhood. Rhythmic and refined is the
mental orientation with Virgo, and so many thoughts race through
that crystal mind. She could be a teacher, and make an especially good copy writer. She could be a journalist, secretary, editor, novelist, or an academic. When the
Virgo wears Hermes’s golden helmet, she can achieve
any educational feat, sometimes, it’s only her crippling self doubt and critique
that creates barriers in her mental ambitions. There may be acuity with numbers or calculations or graphs or maps. The Virgo is a restless person. Mercury relates to mental capacities and also governs the nervous system. So plenty of nervous tension filters through the Virgo brain. And the Virgo must ensure the information that is circulating is correct and detailed.
Lower
evolved Virgos can become gossips and create rumors. But the Virgo in a
higher state of consciousness tends to be quite direct and very pressured
to present only flawless and perfected aloe nectars of information.
She writes articles with ink fresh from heaven in perfect, sculptured calligraphy.

CITRINE

☀️ Known as the “Stone of Success” as it promotes directed energy and enthusiasm to overwhelming or difficult tasks.

☀️ Clears any aura of unwanted negativity, for example would be best worn when interacting around someone you have had a disagreement with or in times if tense family interactions within a home.

☀️ Citrine does not actually absorb negative energies, but merely disperses them, thus the stone is so strong and self reliant that it doesn’t actually need to be cleansed. With this, it is a wonderful stone for promoting ongoing happiness and optimism.

☀️ On the other end of the spectrum, it can be worn short-term for a quick boost in times of sadness or turmoil as a fast way to release tension and cleanse negativity, helping prevent the situation from worsening.

☀️ Enhances self acceptance, happiness and courage in social situations, while bringing a sunny, open disposition to the wearer. A powerful confidence booster that blocks thoughts of self doubt of fear.

The Four Elements

Air

Tool: Wand

Direction: East

Astrological Signs: Aquarius, Gemini

Archangel: Raphael

Elemental: Sylphs (their ruler is Niksa)

Tarot suit: sword

Energy: projective (“masculine”)

Air is the Element of the intellect, mental processes, and communication. It is considered an activating Element. The direction that corresponds to Air is the East, where the day begins. Air is the springtime, new beginnings, and, in the foundations of Magickal thought, Faith. Faith (confidence) in Magickal energies comes from knowledge (intellect) and from understanding the processes of ritual and focused thought, then applying them with sure result.  The tool of Air is the Wand, which is used to direct and channel energy in Magick. When it is used in healing to absorb the energy of the Universe and channel it into the patient, the Wand corresponds to the caduceus of Mercury/Hermes, a God of Air—you will notice that this same symbol is used by physicians today.  The Astrological Signs associated with Air are Aquarius, Gemini, and Libra. Aquarius is the innovator, the Sign of original thought and ideals. Gemini is the communicator, the comedian, the experimenter. Libra is the balancer and harmonizer, interested in partnerships and relationships.

The Archangel of Air is Raphael, the Archangel of healing, teaching, and travel. He is visualized on a mountaintop, in robes of yellow and lavender (the colors associated with the Element Air), which blow gently in the wind.

Sylphs are the Elementals attributed to Air and are similar in form to humans, although they are transparent and have lovely, delicate wings. They travel on the wind, and you can hear them talking and laughing as they drift in and out of the trees. Paralda is the name of their ruler. Sylphs are very articulate and logical and prefer the mountaintops where the air is the thinnest. They are related to the nervous system in the human body. Their favorite scents are the mints and light flowery essences such as tulip, and they love the sound of bells and wind chimes.

Fire

Tool: Athame

Direction: South

Astrological sign: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius

Archangel:  Michael (pronounced Mee-kee-al)

Elemental: salamander (their ruler is a Djinn [pronounced Jeen])

Energy: projective (“masculine”)

Fire is the Element of Will and Passion and is considered an activate Element in relation to energy. The direction that corresponds to Fire is the South, which we associate with heat. The season is, of course, summer the time of growth and culmination of that growth.

Fire is the drive and motivation used by an individual as he strives toward his goals. In the foundations of Magick, Fire is the Magickal Will.  The force of the Magickal Will enables the Magickian to carry through with goals, plans, and dreams. The focused Magickal Will serves as the force or stimulus for the Magickal energy that is sent forth to act on the physical plane to manifest the goal of any ritual.  The tool of Fire is the Athame, the ritual dagger, which is used to inscribe the Magickal sigils in the ether during ritual, describe the circumference of the Magickal Circle, banish phantasms and defend against them, and heal via the act of removing holes in the aura through cauterization on the astral plane.

The Astrological Signs that correspond to Fire are the Fire Signs of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius, all Signs of action and vitality. Aries initiates new projects, Leo is the Fire Sign of flamboyance and flair, and Sagittarius is the Sign of freedom and physical activity.

The Archangel of Fire is Michael, the Archangel of authority, victory, initiative, and splendor. Michael is visualized in robes of scarlet and green, bearing before him a flaming sword.

Fire is the activating force giving vitality and energy to the ideas of Air, bringing them into physical reality as we perceive it.  Salamanders are attributed to the Element of Fire. They are not considered a part of the physical flame as such but the essence that enables the flame to burn. Naturally, they are most active in the summer months and geographically prefer the hotter regions. When they live in cold places, Salamanders reside in the hearth. They are full of passion and enthusiasm and for this reason are sometimes considered dangerous, as their unpredictability can be disconcerting. However, they are actually very generous and warmhearted, if treated with the respect due them. Salamanders relate to the heart in the human body as well as to the circulatory system. Their King is called Djinn.  Salamanders love the smell of burning wood and spicy odors such as cinnamon and nutmeg.  Candles, lanterns, and mirrors are attractive to them.

Water

Tool: Chalice and cauldron

Direction: West

Astrological sign: Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio

Archangel: Gabriel

Elemental: Undines (their ruler is Necksa)

Energy: receptive (“feminine”)

Water is the Element of love, intuition, emotion, fertility, understanding, and imagination. It is considered a receptive Element. Water receives the ideas of Air, the force of Fire, and begins the alchemical process of transmuting them into a form that can be made tangible. The direction that corresponds to Water is the West. Human emotions and feelings belong to the Element Water. The season is autumn, and in the foundations of Magick, Water is imagination. Imagination begins in our dreams and in the language of our subconscious minds. Without it, our rituals would be dry and emotionless. Imagination allows us to see what might be and is therefore creativity, fertility, and inner vision.

The tool of Water is the Chalice, which is used to contain the water of purification when we cleanse a space or an object for ritual. The Chalice holds the ritual wine and the liquid for the practice of scrying. The Chalice represents wisdom, transformation, and receptivity. In the legends of ancient times, the Grail of Immortality was sought by the valiant for its life-giving and regenerative powers as well as for the knowledge it brings. The Ritual Cauldron is also of the Element of Water, and the stories that surround it—the regenerative Cauldron of Dagda, the Cauldron of wisdom belonging to Ceridwen, and the Cauldron of Baba Yaga—reaffirm the theme of wisdom, life, transformation, and regeneration.

The Astrological Water Signs of Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio correspond to the Magickal Element of Water. Pisces is the Sign of emotional connection and inner vision; Cancer is associated with family connection and nurturing; and Scorpio is known for occult ability, psychic power, death, and regeneration.

The Archangel of Water is Gabriel, known as the Prince of Change and Alteration. He can be seen on the Judgment card of the Tarot, blowing his horn, which represents fertility and authority.  Gabriel is visualized in robes of clear blue and orange, holding a Chalice from which torrents of water spill.

Undines are the Elementals of Water. They are extremely graceful and seductive. Undines are similar to humans in form and the majority of them are female. They will impart psychic knowledge and ability. If you work with them in this area, be sure to give them extravagant and appealing gifts in return, for they have feelings that can be easily bruised. They correspond to the human digestive system, and Necksa is their King. Undines live in oceans, rivers, springs, creeks, and raindrops.  Their most beloved scents are cool ones—camphor, cucumber, and citrus fruits such as lime. They delight in beautiful shells, silver jewelry, boxes for their treasures, and flutes.

Earth

Tool: Disk/shield/pentacle

Direction: North

Astrological sign: Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo

Archangel:Uriel (pronounced Ah-ree-el or Yuh-ree-el)

Elemental: dwarfs (Their King is Gheb)

Energy: Receptive (“feminine”)

Earth is the Element of secrecy, deep wisdom, possessions, creation, perseverance, birth, and death.  It is considered to be a receptive Element. Earth receives the idea of Air, the force of Fire, and the transmuted substance of Water and manifests the form into the physical world. The direction that is associated with Earth is the North, the place of endings. Earth corresponds to the bone structure of the human body. The season is winter, and in the foundation of Magick, Earth is Secrecy. Hidden beneath the Earth are many treasures—jewels, minerals, oil—which must be sought out. They cannot be obtained without perseverance and labor. So it is with the Magickal secrets that the Element Earth hides; only through dedication and patience can these secrets be brought to light, yet they must always be protected and guarded.  The tool of the Earth is the Pentacle, which is used both for drawing in and projecting energy.  The Pentacle can also used as a shield for psychic self-defense. The Magickal Cords are also of Earth and are used to bind energy.

Capricorn is the Sign of pragmatism and wealth; Taurus is the Sign associated with sensuality, acquisition, resources, and practicality; and Virgo is the Sign of the healer and the organizer.

The Archangel of Earth is Uriel (pronounced Ah-ree-el or Yuh-ree-el), also called the Lord of Awe, who presides over protection and strength. He is visualized in robes of olive and russet, bearing a Pentacle.  Gnomes and elves are attributed to Earth and are seen in very small human form. Their King is Gheb (also known as Geb or Gob, as in goblin). Earth Elementals are the most mischievous of the Elementals and love a good practical joke. They prefer to live in the forest, crags, heaths, and caverns, although with the human population cutting down on gnomes’ habitats, the more sociable ones actually enjoy being around sensitive and sympathetic human beings and will share living quarters. Gnomes and elves love jewels, gold, interesting rocks, moss, and living plants of all kinds.  Their favorite scents are resins and woodland smells such as patchouli and vetivert.

The gnomes are ruled over by a king, whom they greatly love and revere. His name is Gob; hence his subjects are often called goblins
