WOAH SHE’S BACK. She’s back and bigger than ever, Ms. Google Image Reference. Is she naked? No one knows.

Originally I did this drawing by hand, but I wanted to try it on the tablet. It was a lot of fun and I like the way it turned out. It’s making me realize that I just didn’t spend enough time on the humans that I did before.

I’m going to say it: I LOVE this tablet. I’ve never worked with one before, but people have told me that I would enjoy it, and they were correct.

It took a lot of experimenting, but I realized that I enjoy working extremely zoomed-in, using a very soft brush, and layering values. I would then hide the original photo, and then enhance the areas that needed more contrast.

This was fun!

My biggest struggle with these textures is the lack of focal point. All of these textures seem so medium toned, but I don’t know how to make a good composition out of texture.

The different line directions with these required a lot of focus, zooming in, and rotating the tablet. Maybe if these were in color I’d be happier.
