They Tell Her They’re in Mafia but She Doesn’t Care: EXO
He would pretend that he was completely unbothered by your ignorance, but on the sidelines, he would be observing you like a hawk, taking notice of everything you did just in case you were actually a spy and was working for someone with the aim to take him down.
Chill af but you’d notice the subtle changes around him, though. He’d tell you the same info as always, but with a lot less detail. His working environment would change, as well, such as more surveillance cameras and stuff. Just in case, since you were too ignorant for it to be true, he would keep a close watch on you.
Pure happy that you didn’t leave him like he expected you to do, however he would ask whether you had something to do with mafia yourself, since he thought it to be a normal reaction for people to be at least a little distraught from learning such information.
So. Confused. Like, he got himself all prepared for a painful rejection and then even mentally and physically prepared himself to flee as you called the cops in hurry. Instead, he just sat there speechless as you continued to eat while batting your eyelashes at him, saying that you don’t care.
Would be tempted to scare you into true understanding of what his title actually entailed, since by your ignorance, you never thought it through. He would show you how cruel a person he was when not with you, but it was all for your better judgement.
A happy puppy, content with the idea of your ignorance and believing that from that moment on you two will be the happiest pair ever, able to over-come everything since you’re so fine with the idea of him possibly killing people, and dealing with drugs, and being a shark loan, and more things like that ;-).
A restless mess that will continue to question whether you were actually okay with it. He might even try and talk you into believing otherwise. He would be always nagging at what he was going as a `mafia person` sorta deal, but only because he wanted you to judge him after knowing everything there was to know about him.
Another happy pup, always surrounding you with pure love and affection, promising you the star and the sun and the moon or everything you ever wished for without the worry of you questioning where he got the money from.
Confused to your ignorance, but also like “Well… That’s okay then.”
He would be less self-retraining when coming back home, possibly returning with his gun out in the open or with some blood smears, but only because he thought you were okay with it, as you said you were.
‘i didn’t want to tell my friend who my real date last night was so i just pointed at a random stranger (you) but now they’re storming over to interrogate you and you’re playing along??? okay’ au
“Hey, how did your date go last night?” Linda asked as she sat down across from her friend with a cup of coffee.
Linda had warned Iris about Tony Woodward the first time they had met, so Iris was embarrassed that she had completely disregarded her friend’s valid advice and gone out with him anyways. The guy was a total jerk. Linda had been right. Iris was embarrassed that she hadn’t listened and there wasn’t going to be a second date anyways, so she figured it would be just as easy to shrug it off.
“He stood me up,” she responded. “How did you know I had a date?”
“Please. You left work early, clearly dressed for a date, with a dorky smile on your face,” Linda pointed out. “So, who was this jerk? Do I know him?”
“No one,” Iris lied. “Just that guy that you said was checking me out here last week. I thought he was kind of cute, so I asked him out when I ran into him again the other day. I guess he wasn’t as interested as you thought.”
“You mean that guy?” Linda questioned as she looked over her friend’s shoulder at someone.
Iris turned around in her seat to find that, sure enough, there was the guy who had been watching them and smiling at her from across the coffee shop the week before. That was just Iris’s luck, but it was too late for her to take it back now.
“Uh, yeah,” she responded as she shot her eyes away from the guy and back down to her half-drunk cup of coffee. “But it’s no big deal. I wasn’t that invested or anything.”
“No. It is a big deal,” Linda insisted. “I’m going over there.”
“No! Don’t-” Iris tried, but it was too late. Linda had already gotten up and was storming over to where he was waiting in line.
“What is wrong with you?” She demanded as Iris rushed up behind her.
The guy turned his head to check if she was talking to someone behind him before he pointed to his chest and questioned, “Me?”
“Yes, you,” Linda insisted indignantly. “You got a chance to go on a date with Iris West and you just stood her up? What is wrong with you?”
Iris cringed, then opened her eyes to find him studying her expression. She shot him an apologetic smile, then reached for Linda’s arm.
“Come on, let’s go,” Iris insisted as she felt a blush creep onto her cheeks.
Linda shrugged her arm out of Iris’s grip and stood her ground, looking at the guy expectantly. The line was moving now and he was holding it up, but instead of stepping over to the counter he turned and told the guy behind him in line to go ahead, then stepped aside to continue the conversation. Iris wished the floor would swallow her whole.
“No, you’re right. I don’t know what I was thinking,” he responded, much to Iris’s surprise. His attention was on Iris alone as he lied, “Look, I got side-tracked working late and then I missed my bus and by the time I made it there you were gone and honestly, I was too embarrassed to call you. I still couldn’t believe a girl like you would give me a first chance, let alone a second one. I wasn’t sure you didn’t stand me up.”
Yup, she was definitely blushing now. Why was he going along with her stupid lie?
“I’m really sorry,” he insisted. “But I’d like to make it up to you. Is there any chance you’d let me take you to dinner? I swear I’ll be on time this time.”
Now Linda was looking at Iris too, trying to gauge whether she was buying his story or not.
“Yeah. Sure,” Iris responded. Dinner was the least she could do after he had saved her from major embarrassment. Besides, maybe it would help talk Linda down. Plus, he was pretty cute, even if she had just made a total idiot out of herself in front of him.
“Great,” he responded with an adorable smile before he turned back to Linda. “So, are we good now?”
Linda hesitated for a moment, then checked to make sure Iris looked like she was alright before she told him, “Sure, we’re okay. For now. But I’ve got my eye on you…”
“Barry,” he filled in for her, although that grin was clearly aimed at Iris. “Barry Allen.”
Linda shot him one last look before she told Iris, “I’ll be waiting at our table.”
Iris watched her friend go, then shot Barry a guilty look. “I am so sorry about that.”
“Don’t worry about it,” he insisted. “I mean, sure, it was a little confusing. But I’ve been looking for an excuse to get up the nerve to talk to you. So, I guess it all worked out in the end.”
“Really?” She questioned. “Well, Barry Allen, I was going to say that you don’t actually have to go on a date with me to get yourself out of trouble. But if you’re interested-”
“Oh, I’m definitely interested,” he assured her. “Besides, I’ve got to redeem myself to your friend somehow. Don’t I? What was that all about anyways?”
“I went on the worst date with this terrible guy Linda warned me not to go out with,” she confessed. “So, when she figured out I’d had a date and asked who it was with I sort of panicked and said you stood me up.”
“Well, at least the bar is set pretty low for me then. Right?” He joked.
“I am so sorry,” she repeated. “I didn’t think you were going to walk in right after I said that. And now you lost your place in line and I’m probably making you late for somewhere. At least let me pay for your coffee.”
“Fine,” Barry agreed. “But only if you let me buy you dinner. Tomorrow night?”
Are most of your friends from work? I just started Uni and I'm finding it super hard to make friends and I didn't have any friends in high school, I have my fingers crossed that when I get new part time work I can make friends! Did you ever go through a period of being quite lonely? I just wanna emulate your happy and friendly persona ! Congrats on your moving to NY and good luck with the job hunting !!
I only have friends from work except Brennan who I became friends with At Work (because I was being thirsty af) and then Chelsea, Patrick etc. who I became friends with through emily who I worked with. Actually I met Patrick at work before I met emily too lmao. So I only make friends at work and idk how it happens other than I’m a good listener and I can be friends with anyone and everyone. Im really not stuck up or stand offish with any personality type, that’s all I do. I click better with certain people but I’m really understanding of if people are like talkative or “annoying” because I know people who befriend me are understanding of all my awful personality traits. But at school even though I was like that, I didn’t make lasting friends. We all went our separate ways and I was lonely for like a whole entire year. I know you will make meaningful friends I believe in you and support you. The time of loneliness is for you to grow and learn about yourself and find yourself imo honestly. It was for the better for me
When Jay saw Gray’s message, he immediately called him. “What do you mean SHE’S there?!” Jay spat at Gray. “Was my message not clear? Your side piece is here in the office! She won’t leave until she sees you, man. When are you getting here?” Gray asked.
You: Hey, are you going back to the office? If you are, I think I’m going to go home and rest instead.
Jay couldn’t think properly. Why did she come to the office?
What did she want? Jay had ended things with her during the nights when you were staying at Jasmine’s.
You: Jay…? Are you giving me the silent treatment because I beat you in putt putt golf?
Jay: Ohh sorry babe. I was just thinking about things - work things. What did you say?
You: I asked if you’re going back to the office?
Jay: Umm yeah. But you don’t need to come with me.
You thought it was strange that Jay had asked you not to come with him. He usually begs you to come the office with him, but you brushed it off thinking it’s nothing.
You: Ok, I’ll go home then.
The taxi dropped you off at the apartment first and Jay leaned in for a kiss but you turned away. You weren’t really sure why you did that. You gave him a second chance so you two were back together, but is everything back to normal so quickly?
You: So um I’ll see you later on? I’ll prepare dinner. Do you want anything in particular?
Jay: I’ll eat whatever you cook and I don’t think I’ll be long at the office anyway. Just gotta work out one thing.
When you got into your apartment, you immediately went to take a long bath and a long nap. Putt putt golf took nearly all of your energy. You were then awoken by the ringtone of your phone. It was Jasmine.
Jasmine: Hey you. How did everything go?
You: Yeah, we talked and um things are back to normal…I think.
Jasmine: Are you serious?
You: He deserves it, Jas. The man literally look like a zombie when I saw him this morning. And he was honest when I asked him about her.
Jasmine: If you say so then Jay is a very very lucky man. I can’t believe you forgave him but as long as you’re happy, I’m happy. Did you know who she was?
You: No, I don’t know her. He said they used to work together and met up with each in the last couple of months.
Jasmine: Ah mixing business with pleasure. What are you doing now? And if you say make up sex, I’ll hang up.
You: How can I do those two things at the same time?? I just woke up from a nap and probably heading out to the supermarket to do some grocery shopping.
Jasmine: So I guess no more being roomies?
You: If you’re having a sleepover soon then count me in!
You got ready and it felt so nice wearing your own clothes again. You slipped into a pair of sweatpants, basic t-shirt and sneakers. You weren’t really sure what you wanted to have for dinner so you wandered endlessly in the supermarket.
Grocery shopping took you about 3 hours and you were tired. You settled into making a beef stew tonight. It was the perfect meal for today’s gloomy weather. You got back to the apartment and quickly started to prepare and cook dinner. It was nearly 5pm so you hoped dinner would be ready by time Jay got back.
Jay got the office and there she stood with her back towards him. Jay never thought he would ever see again. A second look around and only Gray was in the room. Or at least that’s what Jay hoped for. He didn’t need more people to know about this. Both heads turned towards him when he walked in.
“Nice to see that you’re finally here, douche-bag,” she spat at him. “Why haven’t you been answering or replying to my texts? Jay stood directly opposite to her and said, “I told you, we are done. Why the fuck are you still annoying me? She opened her mouth but Gray intervened, “Hey Jay, can I talk to you in my recording studio first?” Jay nodded.
Gray: Where’s [Y/N]?
Jay: She’s at home. How can you let her in here? She doesn’t belong here.
Gray: Me? Are you blaming me for her being here? Seriously?
Jay sat down on the sofa. His head in his hands. All he wanted was for her to leave and to never see her again. Why can’t she just move on? Find another man to screw with?
Gray: Look man, I’m not comfortable being here so I’m going home. I’m sorry but if you need anything please call me. You better work out whatever it is with her tonight. Don’t leave things hanging, otherwise [Y/N] won’t be giving you another chance. You’re very lucky Jay to have [Y/N] by your side. Not all girlfriends take back their cheating boyfriends.
Jay: I know Gray, I know.
When Gray was gone, Jay walked out of the room to confront her. She was sitting of the sofa and on the phone. Probably going through her selfies.
Jay: Why the fuck are you here?
Her: I need to tell you something duh. I wouldn’t be bothering you if it wasn’t something important.
Jay: Tell me what?
Her: Okay, so when I tell you please don’t do anything rash. Ok?
Jay: Just tell me.
Her: I’m pregnant, Jay.
It was nearly 7pm and Jay isn’t home. Dinner was done in time. You were proud of yourself. Being able to make a stew within 2 hours is an accomplishment for you. You called Jay but it went straight to voicemail. You messaged him but he probably won’t reply since he doesn’t even answer his phone. Now you were feeling all sorts of mixed emotions.
Is he just caught up with work? Or is he with her? But how could he, you thought. You just gave him a second chance today and within a few hours, he goes back to his own way? Is he that selfish?
You tried not to think too much about it because the more you thought, you felt sick. Your head was starting to hurt. You called Jay once more but to no avail. Now your head was really hurting so you went to bed, hoping Jay would be next to you in the morning.
Did you say you're 14?! You have such amazing work for being so young, and even if you were older you're amazing!! I can't wait to see how you're going to progress as you get older :)) // if you keep up this blog at least// ALSO SORRY IF THIS COMES OFF AS CREEPY BTW, I DIDN'T MEAN TO SOUND THAT WAY
thank you for the compliment but I never said that I was 14 |’D I’m actually more older than 14
Bill: How much did it cost? Doctor: Ah, no idea. I stole it. Bill: Seriously? Doctor: Yeah. Bill: Why? Doctor: Well, actually, because I felt like it. Bill: Oh. What if I steal it from you? Doctor: On you go then. Bill: I don’t know how it works. Doctor: Neither did I.
Every now and then you see a news story when a small kid takes the parents’ car for a drive probably not knowing quite correctly how to steer the thing but brimming with confidence nevertheless. That’s the Doctor.
Also, I liked how Bill was both amused and impressed on learning this bit of personal history from him.
Who could have known that taking home a hybrid would change ones whole life? How could y/n have guessed he would affect her so much? All she wants to do is help, but she doesn’t even know if he’ll let her.
“Why did it have to start pouring, right when I get out of work?” You say out loud to yourself, walking just a little bit faster with the hope of getting home soon. After a long day of typing up reports, making not one, but two power points for a meeting coming up, and staying over three hours later than you planned at your business, you just wanted to go home. It was dark, and you were freezing in your business attire. Curling up on your couch with some tea and a Korean drama sounded like heaven at the moment.
Your heels splashed through the puddles that were covering the once light gray sidewalk, soaking through all the way to the black tights covering your feet. Passing by a darkened alleyway, a bolt lightning hit the ground, lighting up the world around you. Jumping at the sudden blinding light, you noticed a figure hidden in the shadows. Even if you only caught it for a split second in the corner of your eye, you knew someone, or something, was there.
Stood frozen to the spot, contemplating whether you should check and see what was there, or turn a blind eye and move even faster home, you heard a noise. You turn your head slowly, straining your eyes to see down the pitch black alley, and listened. Another noise sounded through the air, but this time you could hear it more clearly. It sounded like a…whimper? The thought that someone could be hurt, and alone in the pouring rain, compelled you to take a step forward. Slowly, you took your phone out of your bag, and turned on your flashlight.
Then you saw it. A hybrid boy, hunched over and shivering like there was no tomorrow. His ears laid flat on his head as he stared at you, eyes meeting yours with a glare. You stared back at him, his features hard, warning you not to come any closer. Breaking eye contact, you shifted your gaze to where his hand clutched to his stomach, red staining the area around what his hand couldn’t cover. Instantly, you moved closer to him and grabbed his wrist, removing him from his wound.
“You’re hurt, you need help.” Your eyes were glued to his blood stained shirt, face filled with worry. He flinched at your contact and ripped his hand away from your grasp, the movement causing him to whimper and slip forward.
“I don’t want, or need, your help. Go back home and play with all your little toys, but leave me alone.” His words came out as cold as he wanted them too, the pain not making his tone falter in the slightest. He moved his right hand to his stomach again, pushing his left on the brick wall he was leaning against before, in an attempt to get up. Every fiber of his being felt like it was on fire. Waves of a burning sensation coursing up and down his body at every movement he made, causing him to lose his grip and fall.
He closed his eyes, and braced for the impact of the wet asphalt ground. When he had closed his eyes for far longer than it should’ve taken him to hit the ground, he opened them to find himself looking at grey. Moving slightly from his position, he looked up to see what had caught him.
There you knelt, knees on the asphalt, holding him as best as you could with all your strength. He had landed on your jacket, now soaked even more than before, if that was even a possibility.
“I want to help you, but you need to help me too.” You spoke again for the first time since he had tried to push you away. He looked like he would pass out any second, and his weight was too much to carry by yourself. You couldn’t leave him alone, no matter what he said to you.
“Please, my house is about a block away. I can’t carry you by myself, but I also can’t leave you here like this.” You looked into his face, pleading him to move. He glanced back at you under hooded eyelids, his instincts telling him it was okay.
Using you as his support, he slowly pushed himself up. His black tail wrapped around his left leg tightly, grunts and whimpers of pain leaving him. Even as he tried to hold the sounds he made back, you could still hear them, making the urge to get him home even greater. You stood up with him, grabbing him so that he wouldn’t fall. Hoping that you could support him enough to relieve him of even the slightest amount of pain.
“It shouldn’t be anymore than a ten minute walk. Hold on a little longer. You’ll be fine, I promise.” You both took slow steps, his weight getting heavier the more he slipped out of consciousness. Tears were stinging his eyes, and pants were leaving his mouth as the pain got worse with every step he took. Your words were the only thing guiding him, all of his senses swallowed in the flames of his pain.
Once finally back at your apartment, you lead him to one of your guest rooms. Carrying all of his weight, and switching the lights on, you set him on the queen sized bed. His eyes were screwed shut, small tears hanging to his eyelashes, as his chest heaved with heavy breaths. Looking at him in the light, you could finally see him clearly.
The ears that laid on the top of his head were black and coated in dirt that inhibited his whole body. The black hair that his ears ran into, was soaked and wetting the white pillow he was laying on. His face was covered in sweat and rain, with a pained expression that drew you back to the situation you were in. Snapping out of looking at him, you quickly moved to his stomach, kneeling on the white carpet floor.
“I’m going to lift up your shirt and look at your wound, okay?” Looking at his face, you asked the question, waiting for his answer. He barely nodded, but you took it as an okay. You lifted up his dark green shirt, eyes widening at the sight in front of you.
His toned stomach was bruised all over. Areas of all different sizes, purple and yellow, could be seen. Tears started to form on the sides of your eyes as you kept looking. Not only were there bruises, but there were scratches and burns too. Scars from what looked like multiple types of knives laid on his body.
You reached out your shaking hand and rubbed over on of the largest scars, tears finally flowing from your eyes. As you moved your fingers lightly over the scar, you felt something wet. You lifted your hand to your face to get a better look.
Red stained your fingertips, slowly dripping to the valley where your fingers met. The world started to move faster as you whipped your head back up to look at his stomach again. Seeing a large gash on his left side, you got up and ran to your bathroom.
Quickly flipping on your light switch, you ran over your marble tiled floor, almost slipping in your tights. Once you reached the sink, you quickly bent down and grabbed your first aid kid, rushing back to his side.
His breathing had gotten worse since you had laid him on the bed. His hands were gripping the white cover next to him as sweat ran down his face. Opening the kit, you reached in and pulled out a gauze and some cleaning alcohol.
“This is going to be extremely painful, but it’ll keep the wound from getting infected.” You whispered the words, not even sure if he could hear you anymore. Slowly, you started moving the gauze over his wound.
He slightly tensed as you first cleaned around the wound, edging ever so slightly towards the actual gash. His breathing was slow, but heavy as a took in large breaths, barely conscious. Moving on to the actual gash, you went slowly and lightly, adding more alcohol here and there. Suddenly, you hit over the deepest part of the wound, causing the alcohol to go straight into his flesh.
His stomach tensed up as screams of pain started to leave his mouth. His ears perked up, and his eyes screwed even tighter together, as his eyebrows furrowed in what looked like excruciating pain. Tears started to not only stream down his face, but yours too as your vision started to become blurry.
The sight was horrifying, knowing that you were causing him even more pain then he was already in. The sounds of his voice and the knot in your throat that made it hard to breath, made the room start spinning. Your head pounded as you tried to focus on getting the wound cleaned and bandaged, just wanting it to be over.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Was all you could chant as you cleaned the gash on his stomach, the wound deeper than you thought. You stopped moving the gauze, and bandaged his stomach up, tight enough so that the blood flowing out slowed down.
His screams had stopped, but his hands still firmly clutched the covers. His face was dry of rain, but drenched with sweat and tears. You let your head fall lightly on his stomach, head still pounding as a dizzying nausea spread over you. Soft sobs and gasps for air left both of your mouths, chests shaking up and down with every breath.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” Were the only words you were capable of saying, over and over again, softly without fault. It was like a lullaby to both you and the boy who’s name you hadn’t even had time to ask. Him falling asleep to the sound of you voice, and you falling asleep to the rise and fall of his chest, you ended the first night of many more to come.
I noticed that you guys coincidentally had the same or similar degree to what your role is in Dicesuki? Sitraxis = IT= Programmer, Tajina = Journalism? = Writer. That's just my assumption so do I have to take a course to understand how you guys do your work?
Hello there! It was just a big coincidence that Sitraxis and Tajina both have professions related to their roles in Dicesuki.Though being in those fields did help them a lot in their work.
You don’t really need to have any professional background related to making games if you want to make one. All you need is passion and patience in learning everything. Kooriiko works as a full time nurse but drawing has always been her first love, with playing games/making stories her second. Her passion for them are what drove her and her co founder, Sitraxis, to form Dicesuki. ;)
@re-unknown and I finally got around to doing a collab; he linearted (very beautifully) chat and i did mari, he coloured (very nicely) mari and i coloured chat and finally i did background and lighting (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
Why are we not talking about the fact Lena spent the entire day looking for ways to help Kara and was about to spend her whole night going through ten years of accounting data of one of the biggest corporations on Earth? And that she did it by herself instead of delegating the task to an army of accountants?
