did i mention i met him once

A/N: This is a part II of Braids. Please please please read that first so you may understand the intimacy of their close friendship. I really hope you all like it - please send me your feedback here. Thank you, love you, and happy reading :)

Harry doesn’t remember the last time he felt this giddy.

He thinks it was the time you had finally agreed to see him perform, and he had found a bouquet of flowers in his dressing room with a small card that read “If you were a flower, you’d be a damndelion”. There was no signature on the card, but he immediately recognized your scribbled handwriting. He had worn a grin for the rest of the night, feeling utterly enamoured by your silent act of kindness, wondering how someone with that much heart fell into his crazy life.

Now that he was thinking about it, he had always been showered by your good nature. It was what had attracted him to you in the first place. Your gentle personality had the ability to touch others in a way that made them feel like the most important person on the earth. And now that Harry’s watched your kindness spread through the hearts of the ones he loved most, he promised himself to finally be honest with you … even if it meant crossing the blurred lines of your close friendship.

I was starting to like Mick, but his death makes sense in a "the show is getting really cluttered with characters all involved in the same storyline" way? I'm just glad it wasn't Eileen. What did we do to get all the Cas mentions? The first one in the beginning I was sure was going to be all we got, but they just kept coming. Would rather have actual Cas tho..him meeting Eileen and knowing how to sign perfectly. Sigh. He never meets anyone.

SAME. As far as the “glad it wasn’t Eileen” part.

But at first I was sort of wondering if Mick might be on a track for redemption, but he pretty much sealed his fate after 12.09 for me. I’ve been expecting him to bite it for weeks now. :P

EVERY. TIME. WE got Eileen, we got a Cas mention. I’m sure that wasn’t significant or important or relevant to anything in particular. :D

And yeah, I would rather have actual Cas than just worry for him and talking about him, but I have to confess I do love me some Pining Dean. (I’m one of the freaks who likes s7 because it’s basically nonstop Dean Pining) (don’t even get me started on the back half of s11 ALL PINING ALL THE TIME)

The last person Cas met though… was Charlie. That did not end well. Hopefully they will meet someday under auspicious circumstances.

Now I kinda want Eileen to get mentioned at least once every few episodes. Just Dean asking how she’s doing, or Sam giving him an update.

AND OH GOSH SHE AND SAM FACETIME SO HE CAN LEARN TO SIGN. And it happens often enough that even Dean knows the routine that he has to look at the camera when he talks to her EVEN WHEN HE’S DRIVING I mean they made it look like this is a regular thing that happens all the time AND I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT ALL OF THAT.

Oh my gosh Eileen was the best thing about this whole episode.

Hooray for bucklemming taking a Robbie Thompson original character and not bucklemming her.

Yes, bucklemming is now a verb.

Dark curled his upper lip at the thought of your parents. All you did was mention them and he had to pull that nonsense.

“What?” you challenged, though you very well knew ‘what’ already.

“I don’t exactly care for your parents,” he stated delicately.

You crossed your arms defensively, “One: You’ve literally met them once when they came over. Two: You have no reason to not like them, you guys got along fine. And three: what were your parents like for you to judge mine?”

“That isn’t the point, here, my point is-”

“No, really,” you cut him off, tone completely shifted to suit a more casual one. “I have no idea, what they were like, I live with you and know nothing about you.”

Dark sighed as though he knew the question was coming, “It doesn’t matter.”

“It kind of does,” you leaned back onto the dining room table. “I mean, you know absolutely everything about me, but I don’t even know your birthday, or if you had any pets as a kid.” You stopped to let a sudden realization sink in, “How do you even get the money to pay your half of the rent? I haven’t heard from you about working a single day in your life! What is this?”

“Nonono,” you rubbed your face. “Seriously, I just want to know at this point, I’m not even mad. You just have to tell me something eventually.”

Dark seemed to ponder things and finally succumbed to your demands. “I don’t have parents.”

Well, that was baloney, you thought. “Everyone has parents.”

He shrugged offhandedly, “Nobody had a hand in raising me, so…”

“So do you want to keep talking about it?”

“I mean…Kind of…but I guess I understand why you don’t.”

“Thank you. Now, can we move on?”

The Way Home

Prompt: Can I request something with Logan from Xmen where you’re being kicked out of your apartment complex because you’re a mutant and they found out. & pretty much he picks you up while you’re hitchhiking and he starts purposely frustrating you and your power starts showing (tbh I’m cool with anything) and you can take it from there.

Warnings: Bieber.

Note: My first X-Men prompt! I’m hype!

You huffed in exhaustion as you continued to walk down the shoulder of the road, your thumb sticking in the air, hoping and praying that someone, anyone would pick you up. You see, the trouble had started when you told your parents about your mutant X gene. They sent you away. And now that your apartment complex had discovered your um…condition, they had kicked you out too. Seeing as you didn’t have money for bus fare, here you were.

After hours and hours of trekking endlessly, finally, a man driving a pick-up truck pulled over and held open the door. You climbed into the passenger seat and set your bag in the back.

“Well hey there,” the man greeted. He had dark brown hair with sideburns and stubble. A cigar was sitting in the cup holder, and there were beef jerky wrappers strewn all over the car.

“Hi,” you greeted meekly.

“Do you have a name?”

“It’s (Y/N).” You told him. “(Y/N) (L/N).”

“The name’s Logan.”

“Thanks for the ride,”

“Don’t mention it,” He paused. “You know, you’re lucky I picked you up and not some weirdo.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, if some random guy had picked up a mutant, I don’t think it’d have gone too well.” He said. Your heart raced. He knew. How did he know?

“How did you-”

“Relax, kid. My friend Professor Xavier sent me for you.” Logan said. “He runs a school for gifted kids.”

“How did he know where I’d be?”

“Telepath,” he replied. You nodded. You had met a telepath once.

“So um,” Logan paused. “What is your power anyway? Why’d you get kicked out?”

“It’s none of your business.” You told him. “I don’t like to talk about it.”

“You know, where we’re going, you’re going to need to tell someone. There are others like you. You’re not alone anymore.”

“I’m not quite ready to tell anyone yet.”

“Fine, fine. I hope you’re happy listening to Justin Bieber then. Because that’s all we’ll listen to if you don’t tell me.”

“You wouldn’t.” You glared. “You’re bluffing.”

“Am I?” Logan slowly reached for the volume knob. You shook your head. He turned the knob, and sure enough, Baby blasted through the speakers. A wave of heat rushed from your fingertips and melted the speaker. Logan stared at you with wide eyes.

“Well I see how that could have gotten you kicked out.”

“Shut up,” You crossed your arms. “I’m sorry about your speaker, but you brought that upon yourself.”

“I guess I deserved it, huh?”

“Yes. Yes you did.”

Have a Request? Just ask!

kc, i've been thinking this a few days now and i wouldn't mind any input, but can you imagine if during the fight that ultimately ended up with genji's blood on hanzo's hands one of their close friends (significant other at the time?) gets the misfortune of showing up at the wrong time and being greeted with the sight of one dead shimada and one looking so hollow afterwards? that would def fuck with someone. can you imagine the reunion that happens years later? that would be awkward with either.

A/N: I was waiting for a day where I could gather the right kind of Hanzo feels for this. I suck at writing, I tried to be angsty and it didn’t work. I guess I’m stuck in fluff city for the rest of my life. Sorry guys! hahah

You thought you were going to die. Hanzo stared down at you with a stunned expression. He had thought you were another assassin sent to kill him for whatever reason. That or Genji had decided to come back to pester him to join Overwatch again.

It was that time of year. Perhaps it was probably silly to keep up the tradition of paying respects to his dead brother when he technically wasn’t dead, but it was tradition. Hanzo was good at tradition and he hadn’t yet accepted what Genji had become; to him Genji was dead and he had killed him.

You gasped for breath as Hanzo continued to press his forearm into your throat, pinning you to the ground. You watched as he seemed conflicted for a moment, before removing his arm and body, allowing you scramble backwards to put some space between the two of you. “T-Thank you.” It probably wasn’t the right thing to say, but it was already too late for a cordial ‘hello’.

Protecting his angel

Pairing: Steve x reader

Plot: Steve x reader imagine where the reader is a Victoria’s Secret angel and Steve gets jealous when they’re in public together because guys openly flirt with his fiancé. On the night of the Victoria’s Secret fashion Steve almost gets into an altercation with a celebrity because he was talking about his fiancé in a sexual way. The reader reassures him that she only has eyes for him.

A/n we all know Chris is a sweetheart in real life but I had to make him an asshole in this just so he could get under Steve’s skin. We know he would never talk about a girl in that manner.

Today was going to be the most stressful yet exciting days of your life. Tonight you were waking in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show and you were excited but also scared. You were scared because you didn’t want to fall in front of everyone in the room. You always had that fear when you walked in fashion shows but this was worse. This is the most anticipated show and falling could potentially ruin your chances of getting another job.

Steve decided to take you out for coffee to calm you down. The last thing he wanted to see was his fiancé having a panic attack before the the show. He took you to your favorite coffee shop and paid for the drinks before his whispered into your ear.

“I’ll be right back, I’m just going to go to the bathroom.” Steve kissed your cheek before he made his way towards the bathroom.

Steve was only gone for a minute when you heard a guy behind you make a crude comment.

“Damn you have a great ass. How much for the night? I’m willing to spend a million on an angel like yourself.” you heard someone behind you. Rolling your eyes you turned to tell the man off.

“I’m engaged.” You raised your left hand and showed him the engagement ring on your finger.

“I don’t care.” he replied as he shamelessly checked you out. The people in the room were giving him a disgusted look. One woman even shouted that he was a pig.

You were about to respond when you felt a hand around your waist. Looking up you notice an angry expression on Steve’s face. “Didn’t your mother teach you not to hit on a taken woman?”

“Yes but I don’t care. Here’s my number.” the guy pulled out a card and handed it to you. “Call me when you’re done with the Boy Scout”.

Steve looked like he was going into fight mode and you had to stop him.

“Steve don’t. He’s not worth it.” you physically had to hold Steve back as the guy walked out of the building with a smile on his face. Probably happy with himself because he just hit on Captain Americas super model fiancé.

“That kids mother must feel ashamed that her son turned out that way. He should show you some respect.” Steve tried to calm down. You rapped your arms around Steve’s neck and pulled in close until your foreheads touched.

“It’s ok Steve. Let’s go back to my place and spend a few hours together before I have to head off the venue for the show tonight.” you kissed his nose before pulling away.

“Alright” kissed your cheek again before the barista called out Steve’s name and handed him our drinks.

“Let’s get out of here” You held his hand as you walked out of the coffee shop and made your way back to your apartment.

*time skip Steve’s pov*

It took y/n an hour to calm me down after the incident at the coffee shop. I still can’t believe guys these days would treat a lady like that.

Before y/n left to get ready for the show she gave me the tickets to the show. Even though I told her not to get the rest of the team tickets she insisted that they should come. I honestly thought I was going to lose an arm when I showed the team the tickets.

Tony was the most excited about the tickets. Seeing as he was recently single he felt the need to rebound with one of y/n’s friends. “Thanks again for the tickets rogers. I feel like a kid in a candy shop. Now which one these models am I going to take home tonight.”

“Not y/-” I was interrupted by the loud music that started to play.

One by one the models made their way down the runway. They all looked great but they were nothing compared to my y/n. I had a smile on my face as she made her way down the runway. She was wearing a red and green little number that I wouldn’t mind her wearing when I spend my nights at her apartment.

Y/n looked my way and blew me a kiss before she reached the end of the runway and posed for the camera. I was so proud of her. She was making her way back when I heard someone mentioning y/n name.

“Did you see that ass? God y/n’s ass is making me weak.” Turning around I noticed it was the guy that portrays me on the big screen Chris Evans. I met him once before they started filming those movies and even then I didn’t like him.

“Ignored him.” I heard Wanda’s voice inside my head which caused me to turn back around and tried to ignore him.

After the show we were escorted into the after party. There were celebrities everywhere and they all wanted to talk to me but I just wanted to be by y/n’s side. I wanted to tell her she did an amazing job.

“You do know y/n’s engaged right?” I heard someone mentioning y/n’s name and I couldn’t help but overhear the conversation.

“I don’t care. She’s hot and since I look like her fiancé she’ll have no problem having sex with me.” That comment set me off.

“Excuse me I’d apparently if you didn’t talk about my fiancé that way. She’s more than just a pretty face.” I tapped the mans shoulder and internally groaned when I realized it was Chris Evans.

“I’m sorry man but your fiancé is hot. How’s she like in bed? I bet she’s a screamer.” Chris had a smug look on his face as he asked me that question. I could hear people gasping at his boldness given who I was.

“That is none of your business kid. Do not talk about y/n in that manner If you don’t want a punch in the face.” I got in his face.

*y/n pov*

Tonight was an absolute dream. It was your third time walking in the show but it still felt like the first time you walked.

You tried to find Steve earlier but you noticed he was being surrounded by celebrities asking him questions. Steve looked uncomfortable though, these types of parties weren’t his thing.

You ended up just chatting with your best friends about how amazing they looked walking in the show. Everything was going great until your heard Steve shouting something at someone.

“That is none of your business kid. Do not talk about y/n in that manner If you don’t want a punch in the face.” Steve shouted as he got closer to Chris.

“Um y/n I think your fiancé is about to get in a fight.” Kendall pointed behind me. Looking back I noticed Steve yelling at Chris Evans.

“Oh shit” you whispered to yourself. “I’m going to go before he starts throwing punches.”

“Bye y/n” you heard Kendall, Candice and Gigi as you made you’re way towards your boyfriend who was getting in Chris’s face.

“Steve stop it ! ! ! Let’s go back to my place. You’re making a scene.” you got in between the men and started to push Steve towards the door.

“NOOO HE NEEDS TO LEARN NOT TO TALK ABOUT A WOMAN THAT WAY. ESPECIALLY IF SHE’S ENGAGED.” Steve shouted before Clint stepped in and help you push Steve towards the exit.

Clint got you guys a cab while you tried to calm down Steve. The ride back to your apartment was quiet from your end. You were beyond pissed about what happened back at the party. Steve on the other hand was apologizing repeatedly. By the time you got inside your apartment you had calmed down over what happened. In fact you were kind of turned on as you played back the scene in your head. You’ve never seen Steve so mad and all up on someone’s face like he was tonight. Sure he got into arguments with men on the street for wolf whistling at you but it never got to the extent that it got tonight.

“I’m sorry for ruining your night. I understand if you want to break up, I would break up with myself if I was in your position.” Steve apologized as he engulfed you in a hug.

“I’m not going to breakup with you Steve. I’m just frustrated that you get that way all the time. I get it you want to defend my honor but sometimes you just have to ignore those assholes.” You started to unbutton Steve’s shirt.

“You need to ignore them because at the end of the day I’m with you.” once you finished unbuttoning his shirt Steve tossed his shirt to the side. Meanwhile you reached behind you and unzipped your dress. “You’re the only man that I’m in love with.”

“You’re wearing favorite look from show.” Steve’s breath hitched as he watched your dress hit the floor and noticed you were wearing the lingerie from the show.

“You’re the only man I want to be with. That’s why I said yes to your purposal last month.” you dropped to your knees and started to undo his pants. You pulled them down along with his underwear. He lifted one leg at a time so you could completely remove his pants before you tossed them where Steve tossed his shirt. “I love you Steven grant rogers.”

“I love you y/n y/l/n” You took him in your mouth and started to suck on his cock. Steve tangled his fingers in your hair as you started sucking him faster. You loved blowing Steve, mainly when he’s had a hard day and he needs to relax.

“Mmmm” You moaned when you felt Steve’s tip hitting back of your throat. Steve was starting to grip your hair tighter and tighter. That was his way of letting you know he was close to cumming so you prepared yourself to swallow his cum. Unfortunately he pulled his cock out of your mouth before you felt the tip twitch.

“I don’t want to cum yet. I want you to cum first.” Steve lifted you up and you wrapped your legs around his waist. You guys started to make your way towards your bedroom, stopping twice so he could press you against a wall to kiss you.

Once inside he gently laid you down on the bed before he closed the bedroom door. You were getting comfortable on the bed in the meantime and squealed when Steve joined you on the bed.

“Such beautiful thighs” Steve started to leave a trail of kisses up your thighs before he reached your covered pussy. “Seriously how did I get so lucky.”

One thing you loved about Steve was the fact that he was such a giving lover. He wanted to make sure your toes were curled when he went down on you. He wanted to make sure you were wet enough for him so he wouldn’t hurt you when you guys were having sex.

“God you’re so gorgeous.” he placed your legs over his shoulder before he moved your panties to the side and started to eat you out.

“Just like that Stevie. God you’ve come so far since you first went down on me.” you caressed his head as he added a finger inside you. You were pleasantly surprised with how far Steve has come when it comes to oral sex. He was completely clueless and hesitant when he first tried so you had to guid him through it. But now it’s like he lives between your legs.

“I know you want to cum y/n, do it.” Steve looked up at you briefly before his tongue was inside you again. He was right, you wanted to cum but you wanted to wait a little bit long. But now that he gave you the ok you let go and let your orgasm take over.

“STEVE !” you arched your back as you came on his face. His hands were on your thighs keeping them open as licked up your juices.

Once you finally calmed down Steve kissed his way up your body while his hands were behind you. He was trying to remove the top of the lingerie but couldn’t find the clip.

“How to I take this off?” Steve had a confused look on his face. You couldn’t help but laugh before you sat up.

“The clip for the top of this is right here.” you placed his hands behind your back and he unhooked it. “And to unhook the rest of the bra-”

“I know where that is” his hands slid down before they landed on the back of the bra and unhooked it.

Laying back down Steve started to remove your panties painfully slow. “Steve please.”

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would hear an angel beg” Steve finally removed the panties and threw them to the side as you spread your legs for him again. “Oh wait !”

Steve got up and got a condom from your nightstand. “That would of been a disaster ! !”.

“I know.” he started sucking on your neck as he slowly pushed himself inside you. “I’m going to make love to you.”

Your eyelids fluttered shut as Steve slowly started to fill you up. That’s another thing you loved about him, he likes to take his time when you guys are having sex. He loves to worship your body and makes sure your enjoying yourself before he came. No matter how many times you tell him he could finish before you he makes sure you cum before him.

“Seriously” he pulls out slightly before he thrusts back in. “I can’t believe you’re mine.”

With your arms around his back you started to match his pace. The only noise in the room were grunts, moans and I love being exchanges.

“I love you.” Steve ran his left thumb over your nipple as you lightly bit his earlobe.

“I love you too Stevie” you whimpered into his ear as he started to thrust harder but continued the slow pace. “Please Stevie. Let me be on top.” you pleaded.

“Ok hold on.” He snakes his arm around your waist and rolls you both over so you are on top of him now. “Oh I love this view.”

You slowly started to move. “You say that every time I’m on top.”

“It’s because it’s true.” he was rubbing your thighs as you continued to move at the pace he was going at earlier.

You felt s knot at the pit of your stomach again and you tried to suppress the coming orgasm. “How am I having another orgasm already? I don’t want to cum yet.”

“It’s alright y/n, you can cum. Please cum for me.” Steve encouraged you to cum, so you did.

“Yes YES oh STEVE ! ! ! !” you threw your head back and let out a loud moan. “Fuck baby ahhh”

Steve sat up and hugged your body before he rolled you guys over again so he was on top. He continued to move inside you as he was now trying to achieve his orgasm. You reached down to cupped his balls and gave them a light squeeze.

“Fuuuuuuck” Steve stuttered before he came inside the condom. He continued to move until he felt his orgasm wash away. Then he pulled out and threw the condom away before he joined you on your bed.

You guys stayed quiet for a few minutes, just enjoying the sound of the busy city. After a while you decided to break the silence.

“Do you want to move in with me. I mean you spend every other night here and most of your wardrobe his already in my drawers.” you asked as you ran your hands over his chest. Your actually shocked you haven’t asked him to move in with you sooner. Given you guys have been dating for four years.

“I don’t know, I don’t want to intrude on your private space.” Steve pulled you so you were laying on top of him.

“You wouldn’t though. I mean we’ve been together for four years and we’re going to hopefully be married within the year.” you rested your chin on his chest. “We can spend any time we have going over places we could move into once we get married. I mean I love my apartment but I don’t want to build our live here. When we have kids I want them to have a backyard so they can run around.”

“You’ve got a point there. Plus I’m getting sick of living with the rest of the team. They keep bugging me about wanting me to talk to you about you setting them up with your friends.” Steve began playing with your hair before he continued “ do you think we can look around Brooklyn? It’d be nice to go back there and raise our future kids there” Steve asked hopeful.

“Of course we can Stevie.” You placed a kiss on his lips. “We better get some sleep I actually have an appointment to go wedding dress shopping tomorrow. The girls actually set the appointment the day I told them the news.”

“Alright and I’ll talk to Tony about him giving me the phone number of his event planner. The sooner we plan the wedding the sooner we’ll get to be married and I get to call you Mrs. Rogers” he replied with excitement that you’ll soon be known as Mrs. Rogers. You were about to go back to your side of the bed but Steve held onto you tight. “Oh no, we’re sleeping like this tonight”

“I’m more than ok with that.” you laughed before you laid your head on his chest.“Goodnight my love”

“Goodnight my angel” he kissed the top of your head before drifting off to sleep.

God!Ahkmenrah x Dancer!Reader:  Tribute

I don’t own the picture, and I don’t own Night At The Museum.  Other than that, enjoy!

“Y/N!”  A voice called through the thin wooden door of your room.  “Are you ready yet?”  Quickly tying a sash around your waist, you walked over and opened the door. The village elder (and your grandmother) stood before you, leaning on a gnarled wooden cane.  “Are you ready, child?”  You nodded and followed your grandmother to the village center.  It had been a tradition that every year, one girl was chosen to dance before the Gods as tribute.  This year, you were chosen for the task, and you were equal parts excited and nervous.  It was a huge honour, but it also came with a lot of responsibility.  Your thoughts raced as you thought of all the possible outcomes.  What if you missed a step?  What if the Gods rejected your tribute?   With one small mistake, you could shame your village for eternity!  Seeming to sense your anxiety, your grandmother laid a reassuring hand on your forearm.  “You will do fine, Y/N,” she assured you.

“Thank you, Grandmother,” You smiled as you approached the village center.  Waiting for you was a grey donkey with flowers and ribbons woven through its mane.  After helping you climb onto his back, your grandmother took a silver amulet from around her neck and looped it around the donkey’s.  The amulet began to float, catching the donkey’s eye.  It tugged gently on the donkey’s neck, which prompted it to start walking.  As you were carried from the village, you looked back over shoulder, wondering how long you would be gone. The donkey trotted along for what felt like ages until it suddenly stopped.  You looked around.  You heard a snapping noise, and you whirled around to see the amulet floating in the air above you.  It began to spin and glow, as you watched in awe.  As the glow got brighter, you had to shield your eyes with your hands.  The wind picked up suddenly, and the donkey spooked.  It reared up, throwing you from its back. You landed on the ground and curled into a ball, still covering your face with your hands.  Soon everything went silent.  Shakily, you looked up, gasping at the sight. Instead of being surrounded by trees, now a towering pair of stone doors sat in front of you.  Slowly standing up, you brushed off your outfit and nervously approached the doors.  Reaching out, you knocked on the door as firmly as you could.  The doors instantly creaked open.  Taking a deep breath in, you steeled your nerves and walked inside.  Behind the door was a courtyard filled with lush plants that you were certain you’d never seen before.  As you looked around, a young woman with brown hair approached you.

“Are you this year’s tribute?”  Gulping nervously, you nodded.  She clapped her hands together and smiled.  “Wonderful!  If you could follow me, I’ll help you prepare.”

“Thank you…”  You trailed off, realizing you didn’t know her name.

“Oh!  My name’s Rebecca.”  She supplied.  You smiled.

“Thank you, Rebecca,” She looked at you expectantly, and you realized you forgot to tell her your name as well.  “I’m Y/N,” You quickly added.

“Nice to meet you,” She said, as she led you away to prepare for your performance.  After what felt like hours of polishing and stitching (you were a little banged up when you fell) you were led to another pair of large doors.  These ones were gold instead of stone and had intricate designs carved into them.  Before you could knock the doors smoothly glided open.  Rebecca nudged you from behind, and you slowly entered the room.  You thought the room was empty, until you looked up.  Sitting on a balcony that stretched around the perimeter of the room sat the Gods.  There was a man with a moustache, a woman with long black hair, a woman with curly red hair, a man with short brown hair and a boy who looked to be his son, an Asian man with long black hair, a man with cropped black hair, a man with blond hair, and a man with tan skin and brown-black hair who was watching you intently.  They all sat in the shadows so you couldn’t fully see their faces and therefore didn’t know which Gods you were about to perform in front of.  You immediately sunk into a low curtsy.

“I come to offer tribute,” You said as confidently as you could.  You heard murmurs as the Gods debated whether or not to accept your tribute.  Finally, the room quieted.

“We accept.”  You nodded and stood up straight.  Almost immediately, music started playing.  You bent and twirled to the music, expertly performing the routine you had been practicing for months now.  As you danced, you felt a particular pair of eyes never leaving your form.  When you finished, the room was silent.  After a few moments, a lone pair of hands started clapping.  You looked up as the God who was clapping stood up and stepped forward into the light. You bit back a gasp as you realized which god was applauding you.  As Ahkmenrah, God of the Heavens applauded your performance, you curtsied again as Rebecca came in and led you out of the room.

You had changed into a pair of pyjamas hours ago and found a book that you had finished hours ago.  You lay on the massive four poster bed, bored out of your mind.  Eventually, you decided to go on a walk in the gardens.  You pulled on a pair of shoes and wrapped a robe around you before you left your chambers.  You wondered around the gardens for a good chunk of time, admiring the flowers and fountains that surrounded you.  Suddenly, you heard a twig snap behind you.  You whirled around and found yourself face to face with Ahkmenrah.  You gasped and immediately dipped into a low bow.  He chuckled.

“There’s no need to bow,” You stood up, nervously fidgeting with the belt on your robe.   He smiled.  “You don’t need to be nervous, Y/N.” He assured you.  You dropped your hands to your sides and mumbled an apology as you continued to stare at your feet.  “Hey, look at me,” You slowly raised your head to look at him.  When your eyes met, he smiled.  “You were wonderful today,” He praised you.  You blushed and smiled, causing his own grin to widen.

“Thank you, my lord,”

“There’s no need to call me ‘lord’, Y/N.”

“No buts,” He stopped you.  “Just Ahkmenrah is fine.” You nodded.  “Would you care to join me?” He held his arm out.

“I’d love to, my—” He shot you a playful glare as you looped your arm through his. “I mean Ahkmenrah.”  He pulled your arm closer and laced his fingers through yours.

“Wonderful.”  For the next few hours, you both wandered through the grounds, talking about anything and everything.  When the time came for you to return home, you were surprised to find yourself reluctant to leave.  When you first found out that you were chosen to perform, you wanted to get it over with as soon as possible.  Now all you wanted was to stay longer.   Over the three days you had been there, you had befriended many of the Gods, but you were closest to Ahkmenrah.  So you were both sad and happy when he didn’t show up at the gates with everyone as they bid you good-bye.  You were sad because you wanted to see him one more time before you left, but you were also glad in a way.  You weren’t sure if you would’ve been able to handle saying good-bye to the God that had unknowingly stolen your heart in the span of a few days.  You wondered if what you felt was even real.  You had heard legends of the Gods being able to manipulate the emotions of mortals.  Before you could any more on the matter, you were snapped out of your trance by Rebecca, who was handing you a pouch of food for your journey home.  She pulled you into one last hug.

“Take care, Y/N,” She told you when she let you go.

“Thank you for everything, Rebecca,” You answered as you were helped up onto the donkey you had ridden there on.  As you were settled on its back, the amulet around its neck began to guide your mount back home.  After hours of riding, you finally spotted your village in the distance.  Your donkey suddenly sped up, seeming equally eager to return home.  As you got closer, you could see the outline of your grandmother.  But standing next to her was the figure of someone you didn’t recognize, until you were close enough to see their facial features.  Your face scrunched up in confusion, which quickly melted into surprise and shock when you realized that it was Ahkmenrah.  You slid off the donkey’s back and was immediately engulfed in a hug by your grandmother.

“You did wonderful Y/N!”  She told you warmly.  You smiled and hugged her back.  She let you go and turned to Ahkmenrah, who was watching you both with a smile.  “Y/N, I’d like you to meet Ahk, he’s just moved to the village.”  You raised an eyebrow at Ahkmenrah, who was watching you with a gleam in his eye.

“Oh really?”  You said coyly.  “And what attracted you to our humble homes, Ahk?”

“Not what, but rather who,” He told you.

“I told him that you’d be happy to show him around,” Your grandma answered.  You could’ve sworn that she sounded smug.

“I’d love to,” You said, looking up at him and offering your arm the same way he had offered his to you a few nights ago. You both found yourselves unable to look away.  You were both finally snapped out of your trances by your grandmother clearing her throat loudly, causing you both to jump.  She gave you a knowing look and mentioned something about “going to pray” as she walked off to her cottage, leaving the two of you alone.   As soon as she was out of sight, you whirled on Ahkmenrah.

“What are you doing here?”  You demanded.  He watched you with that same smile, before suddenly becoming serious.

“I couldn’t let a girl like you leave, Y/N.  I’ve lived for eons, and not once have I met anyone remotely like you.”  He answered.  Your breath caught in your throat.  Did that mean…?

“Ahk, what are you saying?”  You asked him cautiously.  He gently tugged you by your arm into his chest, wrapping his arms around you.

“I’m saying that I love you,” You could practically hear his smile.   You smiled and wrapped your arms around him.

“I love you too,” You mumbled into his chest.  His lips brushed against your forehead.  You both stood there in each other’s arms; too content to move.  But soon you remember your task.  You separated yourself from him and grabbed his hand.  He was watching you intently, grinning all the while.  “Now come on,” You smiled.  “It’s going to get dark soon, and it’s way harder to show someone around when you can’t see anything.”  He laughed and let you pull him around the village, happy that he had finally found someone to share his life with.

Dexter Fletcher on Alan Rickman.

Recently, for the release of his new film Eddie The Eagle, I spent a wonderful hour talking to Dexter Fletcher about everything that led him to this point: his experiences as a young actor, the wilderness years when he lost his way, his rehabilitation, and then, his road to becoming an accomplished director of resolutely feelgood films. The resulting Guardian feature is here.

One of the most touching parts of our conversation was a discussion of Alan Rickman, who I’d seen him reference before – I’d heard Alan had put Dexter in touch with director Dalia Ibelhauptaitė, who would become his wife, and that Alan had subsequently been best man at their wedding. People – in the feature’s comments section, and to me personally – were moved by what Dexter said about him, and there was more, which was great, so I’ve put it here, with permission from DF.

Can I ask you about Alan Rickman? You’ve briefly mentioned him once or twice in the past  – you did a play with him when you were 14, then years later he suggested you do the play where you met your wife, and then he was best man at your wedding. It seems he was an important mentor and supporter in your life.

Yeah. Even when I didn’t know that was what was going on. When he did put me with my wife, all I knew was that I was getting these calls to go and see this woman to talk about being in a play. It was only when I did the first night and that he was there, and that she told me that Alan said that she should see me for the play, did I realise that he had anything to do with it.

Where did that come from?

There were a lot of people at his memorial who were the same as me, absolutely devastated and bereft. He was a champion of what he thought was talent. I’m not saying he thought I was greatly talented. Obviously he did, as I did him. But yes, he was always a great supporter of many people. I had a 35-year relationship with him. He was my best man.

So you were close to him that whole time.

Exactly, but I wouldn’t see him for many years, and then seeing him again it would be exactly the same as it was. When I was 14 I worked with him every day in Sheffield, six weeks in rehearsal and six weeks in the show. The Summer Party, an early Stephen Poliakoff play. I played this precocious kid who was at this Glastonbury-like festival, and he played the guy who owned the land. Brian Cox was in it as well, and Hayley Mills. It was great. But then I didn’t see him till 10, 12 years later, and I was out of my nut on drugs in the BBC bar, and I just remember him looking at me like this [head cocked, curiously]. And he was really thrilled to see me, and I was all wired. And he said, ‘Are you all right?’ 'Yeah, I’m fine.’ I was paranoid, coked out of my head. Then I started getting the calls to meet this director. I think he felt what might save me, and get me on track, was getting back to doing some theatre. This is after nonsense like GamesMaster and other bad choices. I wasn’t working, I couldn’t get a job.

Did he say anything to you about the state you were in? Or was he more diplomatic?

No, he was more diplomatic. I think he just made an evaluation. And then I started getting invited to dinner with people who were adults and interesting and had lived life a bit more, rather than hanging around with the kind of people I was hanging around with. He helped me see that there was a wider world with these other people, who were his friends. He gave so much of his life to me. He always did that. And then he was my go-to guy for advice. He was a real friend in the true sense of the word.

Dexter and Alan with writer Joe Penhall.

That’s amazing.

It was amazing. There were a lot of very upset people [when he died] because they knew a big support in their life was gone. Because he would do it in ways that you wouldn’t even know. Until after. He was so deft at it. He never did it for accolade, reward or thanks, he just did it. When Dalia and I first got together we lived in a little sublet flat down in Harrow Road. It was a rental of a sublet of a Housing Association flat, it was tiny, it was very dingy, it was all we could afford, I’d just gone bankrupt, it was all we had, but we were there and it was great in its way. And he came and visited and went 'Oh yeah, right.’ And three days later this guy came round and re-carpeted the whole place.

And he’d done that.

Yeah. Just did that. And never phoned up and went 'There’s someone coming round to do it.’ Somebody just knocked on the door and said 'I’ve got the carpets.’ What? And he said 'Yeah, it’s been paid for,’ and he put them up on the stairs and in the living room. And it was Alan. He’d just done it.

So he was a guardian angel.

Yeah. The real deal.

When Alan died, Hugh Jackman posted a photo of himself and Taron Egerton and Alan and Christopher Walken. Had he come to visit the Eddie The Eagle set?

No, that was dinner at mine! When we were shooting I was talking to Walken and Alan’s name came up, and I phoned Alan and said, 'Do you wanna come to dinner with Chris Walken?’ He said, 'Yeah I’d love to.’ So it was just very lucky that they were both free, and I said to Hugh, 'Walken’s coming to dinner with Rickman,’ and he said 'I’m coming too!’ Fantastic. It was quite a night. It was a great night.

Your three films as a director are very hopeful, optimistic stories of triumph. The good wins. I saw a little video interview with you and you said 'I am optimistic, I don’t know if I do cynicism very well.’ Is that a creative agenda, or does it just come through because of what you’ve gone through, and your instincts?

I think so. Alan was a mentor, when I was down on myself he could always be positive about me. And I didn’t always immediately see it, but whenever I was saying 'This ain’t right’ or 'This ain’t good enough’ or 'I haven’t done that’ or 'I fucked up’ or 'I can only do a cockney accent,’ he would say 'You can do what you choose to do.’ And what I brought away from that relationship with him, as opposed to other relationships I had in my life, was that you can be very positive to people. You can be very encouraging of people. It’s as easy as sniping to go 'Yeah but you can.’ And why would I not wanna do that? People have done that for me. And I would like to be that kind of person. If I can. I love Taron, I think he’s really brilliant, and when I see him doing something I think is putting himself down, I’ll try to do what I can do. The same with Jackman, if I hear him saying [during promotion] 'This film’s all about Taron, he’s brilliant,’ I’m very quick to say, 'Yeah but you’re also very brilliant as well. Let’s not forget that.’ Not that he’s someone who wallows in any self-pity.

He’s gracious.

He was being gracious, he was, but because I’ve had that and really felt that and came away going 'Oh I understand what that person was doing, I would like to be able to be that kind of person as well,’ then that’s maybe what comes through. I love working with young actors and I want them to feel positive and good about their talent, because there were times in my life when I really didn’t, and that broke my heart. But now I do. I still struggle with it, I’m racked with self-doubt and all that bollocks. But maybe that’s what’s in those films. To be positive.

this little shit

so hey do you think Izuku ever asked All Might who “Toshinori” could be, because Gran Torino mentioned the name once and figured it must’ve been someone fairly important??

and All Might just. spurts blood in surprise and he’s all flustered and replies with something like “W-W-WELL, MY BOY, UM….. W-WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT NAME??”

and Izuku replies, oblivious, “Well, when I first met him, Gran Torino called me it. I thought he was just a senile old man at first, but I know that’s not true now. I thought the name might’ve belonged to someone he taught before, or it might be someone you might know…”

‘MORE SO THAN YOU REALIZE, MY BOY!!’ Toshinori internally screams

Izuku continued, “… then again, it might just be a random name. He was playing dumb with me to get me to let my guard down…”

Toshinori, meanwhile, may or may not be panicking as Izuku muses to himself

I met a Dom in rl and we seemed to hit it off. (He said he had a good time and so did I) but he went on a date with someone else last night. He mentioned that he didn't expect either one of us to continue talking to him, especially after meeting him. Should I wait around for a bit and see if he asks me out again? Or just kinda move on? Idk what to do and I don't wanna bring anything up yet since we only went out once… thanks for any help!!

I’m not sure honestly. That’s tricky. That’s really up to you tbh.

Yuri on Ice interview translation - Animage 2017/01 (p18-19)

Interview with Wataru Hatano, who sang the ending song “You Only Live Once” and is also Georgi Popovich’s voice actor. 2/3 of the interview is about the song and 1/3 is about his role as Georgi. After hearing other seiyuu/staff’s impressions on Georgi, at last we get to know what the person who actually voices him thinks, lol.
I was planning on posting it right after his birthday but then I gave priority to other stuff like the BD contents etc… Here it is finally. It was published on the Animage that came out at the beginning of December, so it only covers up to after ep 10.

***If you wish to share this translation please do it by reblogging or posting a link to it***

Wataru Hatano
ED artist / voice of Georgi Popovich
A song that allowed him to look into his individuality

The recording of the ED song that allowed him to take a new look at himself.

—The ED theme “You Only Live Once”, that you’re singing as “YURI!!! on ICE feat.w.hatano”, was created by the “Yuri on Ice” music producer Keisuke Tominaga. What did you discuss about with Tominaga-san during the creation process?

I had previously received a demo tape with the provisional song, but the first time I met Tominaga-san was on the day of the recording. The first thing he told me is that this song was made for “Yuri on Ice”, therefore we would need to get as close as possible to the show. PIANO already had a clear idea of the image of the song and what it was meant to represent, and I was told “we are going to modify your voice and use it as an element, in a good way”.

—Weren’t you reluctant to have your voice modified?

Actually I thought that it was interesting. As voice actors, our voice can also be considered an “element” of a show, and I personally think that it should be that way, so I thought it was worth giving it a try. Since it was a very different approach than what I had previously experienced, I thought that the methods I had used that far wouldn’t work this time, therefore I made sure to closely listen to Tominaga-san’s advice during recording.

—What kind of advice did you receive from Tominaga-san?

If I put too much of my individuality in the song, there were parts that wouldn’t match the melody properly after my voice was modified. However, if I didn’t convey any feelings at all, then it would become like a Vocaloid (LOL). The main problem to solve was how to “control my individuality”.

—You basically had to adjust how much individuality to show in the song.

If I sang like I normally do I would use vibrato and “shakuri” (pitch shifting up) to add feelings to the song, but this time I couldn’t do it because it would stand out in a weird way when my voice is modified. Tominaga-san gave me many little advices like “sing this part long and steady” or “here only put some personality at the end of the line”. It was quite a meticulous recording, as I would basically sing and record the lines one by one.

—So you recorded the song in more takes, with care.

The English pronunciation was especially difficult…… We had to re-record some parts like “You Only Live Once” at the beginning over a dozen times. But it’s definitely something we couldn’t have been able to do if Tominaga-san hadn’t been there.

—It was a recording with limits, basically the opposite of singing freely, is that correct?

For character songs you are often requested to fully pull out your individuality and the character’s qualities. But this way of singing was also quite new to me and it was a really good lesson. For the first time I was able to realize what “habits” I have when I sing, and it was a good occasion to take a new, more objective look at myself.

—So you mean to say that through the song you were able to look into your own individuality?

Yes, in fact when I heard the completed song I was surprised at how it turned out, also because it almost didn’t sound like myself, as if I wasn’t the one singing it. I think it was a very valuable experience.

—What did you come to notice about your “individuality” when you recorded the song?

I have the habit of conveying the message contained in the lyrics by singing in a strong subjective way. But this time I realized that, by singing objectively, you can deliver the message in a more profound way. This is what this experience taught me. Sometimes, instead of “pushing forward”, you can deliver the feelings in a song’s lyrics by “pulling back”.

A song for all figure skating lovers.

—What impression did you have of the lyrics?

When I received the lyrics, at first I thought that they were singing the feelings of the protagonist Yuuri. But when I went to the recording the staff told me that “the lyrics are not meant to be associated to a certain character, but to apply to all people who practice figure skating”… and I was like, “ok now I see”. To interpret the lyrics I started from the translation of the English parts, but indeed I thought that it perfectly suits the transient image of figure skating.

—What are your favorite lines?

All the lines are beautiful, but the one that left the strongest impression on my mind is “I don’t mind getting hurt if it’s to shine” (“kagayaku tame no kizu wa itowanai”). I genuinely think that it’s a nice phrase. I also like “resound, thunderous applause, so loud that I’ll feel rewarded for all time spent so far” (“ima made no hi ga mukuwareru hodo hibike thunderous applause”). I think the English expression “thunderous applause” really represents the world of figure skating and I like it.

—What do you think about the melody?

The first time I listened to the demo tape I thought it was an instrumental song. Like, “wait, there’s nothing to sing here” (LOL). But of course, it did contain a sung part. The voice was extensively modified and almost sounded like one of the instruments, so I didn’t notice. That’s why in the beginning I had no idea of how I should sing it, and until the recording day I received no suggestions at all.

—Indeed, listening to the finished song it sounds like your voice has become one with the other instruments.

The part at the start of the song too, in the lyrics it’s supposed to say “Oh… You Only Live Once”, but we actually overlapped other sounds taken after that, like “wooh wooh” and “yeah yeah”, so that who listens cannot catch what is actually said. It’s interesting how many ideas they came up with to better represent the atmosphere of the show.

—Yuuri’s voice actor Toshiyuki Toyonaga-san also said that if he were a figure skater he “would like to dance to the ED song sung by Hatano-san”.

Really? I’m happy to hear that! All of the “Yuri on Ice” songs are wonderful, and I’m honored to hear that among all those he picked “You Only Live Once”.

—The ED footage by Yuuichirou Hayashi is also splendid.

Everyone has such nice expressions. When “You Only Live Once” overlaps with Yuuri, Victor and Yurio’s wide smiles, among the popness and freshness of the song there’s a lingering transient feeling too…… You can feel the love of all the staff for this show.

—What concept did you choose for the song’s MV?

What I told the director is that, since the song is made to be close to “Yuri on Ice”, I would have liked the MV to be the same too. It starts with me walking in a monochrome, colorless city, looking in the distance with a distressed expression, and as the song gets picks up the pace it becomes more carefree. I start spinning around and spreading out my arms. This time we created one MV by overlapping lots of shots. We did it on purpose not to insert an exact story in it, so I’ll be happy if you watch it imagining the story as you prefer.

—What about the coupling song “Sing and Dance!”?

I chose it among a few available candidates. Since “You Only Live Once” recalls the icy coldness of the rink and people shining toward their dreams, I wanted the coupling song to be more straightforward, more like “Let’s all dance and dance together!”. The music was composed by fu_mou, who is also a DJ. When I asked him what genre would this song be considered, he told me “tropical house”. The word “tropical” became a hint for me when I was deciding how to sing it.

—Like in the image of tropical islands?

Positive and frank, with an excitement that pushes you forward. That’s what I pictured when singing it. It’s house, so it has a fast beat and your body automatically starts moving. It gives you a different impression than “You Only Live Once”, but when you listen to them one after the other I believe that their images are connected.

—It sounds like you gained many things from this recording.

It was an occasion to look into my individuality and I could get to know some interesting people. Starting from the composer Genki Hikota, all the members of the music production team PIANO are very young. I heard that Hikota-san is a DJ that works overseas too, and I was wondering, what if when I meet him he’s like “hey, man!”, like a totally loose guy (LOL). But he was actually a very polite person. He is very talented and also has a good personality. It’s amazing that people like that really exist. When he did the track down and the song was born, he shook my hand and told me “we should work together again”. At that time I thought, “I see, it’s because this song is created by people like him that it manages to be so open and clear”.

Something in common with Popovich, who manages to turn damage into strength.

—In the anime you are playing the role of Georgi Popovich. I understand that your singing voice in the ED was modified, but still, it sounded so different from Popovich’s voice that I was surprised.

I was surprised too (LOL). The instructions I received from the sound director are to “use a more threatening, low voice. His creepiness must sound amusing”, and that’s why I played him like that.

—The character himself means to be totally serious, but that ends up being funny instead.

I’m just doing my best and being faithful to the script, but for some reason…… the moment I step in front of the mike, I see the other members of the cast looking as if they’re trying not to laugh (LOL). I’m happy to see that but it’s also embarrassing.

—How is Popovich seen from your point of view?

He’s able to express with his skating the feelings that he experiences in his private life. Since he pushes out his feelings very forcefully when he skates, I didn’t have to hold back when I was playing him. Most of his lines while he is skating are monologues, but I’m being careful to say them energetically, as if he’s almost about to speak them out loud.

—At first sight he looks reserved, but when he performs he expresses his attachment toward his ex-lover with tears in his eyes.

The short program was still ok, but in the free he was seriously creepy (LOL). However, normally if something bad happens in your personal life you tend to lose your energy even toward work, but Popovich on the contrary is able to turn it into strength when he skates. I can understand that feeling because I have experienced it too. Actors are curious persons. When they are deeply wounded by something that happened in their personal life, when they are in distress, they can pull off better performances than usual.

—It’s like using adversity as a spring to push forward?

I think that maybe, when you reach an extreme condition your mind becomes keener than usual. In that sense, Popovich is a person able to turn a crisis into a chance. That’s why after he has finished his program I’d like to tell him “you gave a nice performance”.

—Are there other characters that caught your interest?

They all have very particular personalities, so I find them all interesting. It’s like if you don’t have a strong personality you can’t survive, but if I have to choose I’d say Yuuri and Yurio. Maybe it’s because I’ve watched the series from episode 1, but they touch me emotionally. I especially love Yuuri’s skating song “Yuri on ICE”. When I heard it in the broadcast I thought “beautiful!” and I almost stopped breathing. Many fans were saying that they are happy because the title of the show was actually connected to the story, and I do think that it’s really a song made for this anime.

—What image do you have of figure skating?

I was born in the Nagano prefecture. The Winter Olympics were held there when I was a student, and in general I’m familiar with winter sports. In the area I lived speed skating was popular, and I myself took classes for a few years. That’s why I’m also familiar with the temperature and coldness on the rink, and since they are both skating, I can easily imagine the environment surrounding Yuuri and the others.

—Did you start watching figure skating after being involved with “Yuri on Ice”?

The Grand Prix series is taking place just now, at the same time as the airing of the anime. I’m watching it on TV, and sometimes when I watch it I think “maybe in the real world too there are skaters with strong personalities like in “Yuri on Ice””… (LOL)

—Lastly, could you tell us about the future highlights of the story?

The Grand Prix Final will gather characters with very bold personalities and amazing skills. I think what everyone is wondering since episode 1 is “how will Yuuri fight?”, and “what will Victor do?”. In a world where scores decide the ranking, all skaters shine in their own fleeting moment…… This beautiful world is going to be portrayed in the anime. Please make sure to watch over their performances to the end.

DID I MENTION? | Shawn Mendes Imagine | Mrs. Mendes

I looked to the invitation for the third time. It was saying: “Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello would like to receive you for their wedding party on November 9th.” I started to cry. How it was possible? They’ve known each other for four months. I know Shawn for five years. I’m in love with him for five years. I’m his best friend for five years. When Shawn told me he met Fifth Harmony I didn’t believe him. It was my favorite musical group. We went to a concert once, and he said something about Camila and Austin Mahone tour. After a month they were on tour together. Shawn is exploding on his career and after that tour, he became super famous. I wasn’t bothered about the idea of not having him around, I just couldn’t stand that he was spending his days with her, and before everything, he usually spend them with me. I stared again the invitation. Today is November 2nd, so I have seven days before the wedding. Seven days of torture, knowing that every second was closer for the moment that would destroy everything. “Hey princess.” “Hi. What are you doing?” “I was going to try my suit on. And I think you read my thoughts, I was going to call you. I want you to come with me. Meet me outside your apartment.” “You live across the hall…” “Exactly. I’m late. Come on. Quickly. Love you.” We went to the store and he proved eleven suits. I decided the dress I was going to wear. After two hours trying the clothes on, we went for an ice cream. “So… A week. Are you nervous?” “No. I’m not. Actually I’m concerned about Camila.” “Why?” “I think she is cheating on me.” “With who?” “I don’t know. She received some strange messages yesterday.” “Fans, maybe?” “Yes, maybe. And you? What about your romantic life?” “Fine.” “Y/N, I know you for a long time. You can’t hide. What’s bothering you?” “Nothing.” “Y/N… You can tell me.” “There’s nothing I want to tell you.” “Ok. Are you going to the party on the day before our wedding?” “Sure. And your flight?” “It’s in forty minutes. I have to go. Love you princess.” “Love you too.” He kissed my forehead and left. The two old ladies that were there started to smile. “You look cute together. He loves you, girl.” I started to cry and ran to my apartment. I would be under my blanket till the party day, where I’ll probably tell him what I’m feeling, or at least, try. The days passed slowly and when the party day finally arrived Shawn knocked on my door. “Hi love.” “Hey, I was getting ready. Something happened?” “No, I just thought you would like a ride.” “Sure, just five minutes.” He took me to Camila’s house, where were a lot of guests. “I will look for her.” “Ok. I’ll be right here.” “Hey, Y/N, have fun.” I smiled and started to walk around the place. It was lovely. I found a bench, where I sat and started to look the party. Shawn passed twice, so I knew it was time to tell him everything. When I was on my way, I saw Camila Cabello kissing Austin Mahone. Everything made sense. I needed to tell Shawn about it, but Camila saw me first. “Y/N!?” “Hi. I can see that I’m interrupting. I think I’ll tell Shawn that he’s ruining your relationship.” “Don’t you dare.” “You don’t know me.” “Yes, I don’t. But tomorrow, when I say yes, I’ll make sure that you disappeared from Shawn’s life.” She stayed with him the whole night, so I couldn’t tell him. He was going to ruin his life and I couldn’t warn him about it. When I got to the church I saw Shawn with the suit I chose. He was freaking out. “Hi.” “Hey princess. How do I look?” “Gorgeous, as always.” “Thank you.” “Can I talk to you?” “Sure.” He pulled me to the parking “What?” “Ok. I need to tell you that… Hum… I need to tell that I saw Camila with Austin yesterday. I couldn’t tell you before.” “You’re inventing things, Y/N.” “Does it look like I’m kidding!?” “I know what you’re feeling. You’re jealous. I will have time for you, as always. I’m just getting married princess, I’m not leaving.” “No, it’s not that. It’s… Ok the truth is that I’m in love with you. Since the moment we met. Yes. Yes, I’m jealous, but it’s not because you’re not going to have time for me, it’s because I wish I could be entering in the church. Shawn, I love you. I know isn’t the best moment to tell you but it’s the truth.” “Y/N… I…” “SHAWN?! You’re late. The ceremony!” “Camila?” “What are you doing with her?” “We can’t get married. Sorry.” “I don’t know what she told you, but she’s lying.” “You don’t know her.” “I do. She’s a envious girl who wanted so bad to have my life. She doesn’t have her own ideas and try to destroy the others happiness.” I don’t know what happened, but I ran to the lake near the church’s parking. I heard I scream, but really wanted to be far away from that place. I sat on the grass and looked at my reflection on the lake. My make up was ruined. I was trying to clean my eye mask when a saw Shawn’s foot. “Hey princess.” “Hi.” “I think we were interrupted.” “Yeah, but know what was your sentence: I don’t love you, sorry.” “Nop. You got it wrong.” I looked at him and saw his smile “I think I forgot to mention that I’m love with you too.” “Really?” “Yes. For five years. I felt for you when you looked at my face and said: sorry, but the music class was canceled.” “What are you planning to do? Like, you canceled your wedding.” “Well, the priest is available and I have a ring right here, so I was wondering if you know a gorgeous girl that would like to marry me?” “I think this would be me.” “Yeah, I think so.”

It wasn’t until after he had left for Erebor that you had realized that Fili had left you with much more than an ardent promise to return and a kiss goodbye.

You have never been one for tears and, thus, it had surprised you the amount of time you spent crying, usually over something that hardly warranted the reaction. One afternoon, on an outing with his mother, Dis, you had found yourself ill but by the time you had arrived back home, nothing in the world mattered as much as getting to the kitchens to fetch a slice of their most decadent chocolate cake with a side of their saltiest cheese. As soon as the words had passed your lips, a funny expression stole over her face.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel - Localization Blog #3

Greetings and salutations, true believers!

Trails of Cold Steel has officially launched, and I’m excited! You may well be one of the pre-order platoon, leading the vanguard, or perhaps the game is making its way to you through all the holiday postal congestion at this very moment. Either way, you’ll soon know what we know: good things come to those who wait, and here at the tail end of 2015, one of the year’s finest RPG adventures stands ready to be unfurled (though let’s be honest…with the length of the game, you’ll probably have said “Happy New Year!” before you roll those credits). Work on Trails of Cold Steel II is already well underway, so worry not – you won’t have to wait too long to see more of what happens to Rean and friends.

Brittany wrote last time about all the effort that goes into the process of voice recording, and she was right on the money – it’s a lot of work. More than I’d predicted, actually. See, this was actually a big first for me. Sure, I’d written for voice work before, but Trails of Cold Steel marked the first time I went into the studio to help supervise the recording of an English dub. The whole process – which took about 20 working days for all the voice work – was like one long course in the particulars of going from script to a finished dub – hugely instructive and informational, but also harrying with how much new info about the process I was absorbing all the time.

Leg Room

60 with Reid

“We’re on the bus and I’m really not trying to take up your space I’m sorry I just have rlly rlly long legs”

There’s a man who keeps me beyond intrigued. I crave to know more about him, to know all the ins and outs of his personality, what makes him tick, his whole story.

But maybe I should start with him name.

I know how this sounds, but it’s really not as creepy as you think. It’s just that he sits next to me on the bus most mornings, and he’s tall and nerdy and adorable. he never sits on his phone or a tablet or even an mp3 player like most people. He reads books instead. Big, thick ones; classics and mathematical theory. I’m usually pretty cramped up in that small seat next to him, but I don’t mind. Because, did I mention he’s adorable?

He’s been sitting next to me almost every day for weeks now, and we’ve never said a word to each other.

Until today.

“I’m sorry that I take up so much space,” he said. I was startled by the sound of his voice. It was warm and scratchy all at once, quiet but with a strong cadence. I looked up at him and met his hazel eyes.

“It’s okay,” I replied. “I don’t mind.”

“I used to sit by myself,” he began, gesturing behind him in the vague direction of the back corner of the bus, “except one day I sat here and you were just very pretty and you smell like apples and I didn’t want to move but I kind of felt bad that you’re so cramped up.”

I smiled at him.

“What’s your name?” I asked.

“Um, Dr.Spencer Reid,” he replied.

“Well, Dr.Spencer Reid, I’m (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N), and I am very glad you decided to change seats and sit with me.”

“You are?” he asked.

“Yes, I am,” I replied. I glanced out the window at the stop we’d just pulled to- Spencer’s stop.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, and we can continue this then, Dr.Spencer Reid,” I said flirtatiously.

“Oh, um, it’s just Spencer,” he said.

“Well, you have a good day, Spencer.”

“You too, (Y/N).”

As he walked away and I stretched in my seat, I felt that if the morning was any indication, it was going to be a good day indeed.

Josh x Reader #1

Warnings: much more swearing in this one, also it gets kinda very sad at the end :/

Requested: nahhh I wanted to write this one

Notes: I’m really happy with how this one came out. Also, I’m feeling part 2? ~K

You were furious; this would be the third date in a row that Josh has missed. Here you were sitting like an idiot in another restaurant, once again being blown off by your so-called boyfriend of 5 years. You had sat there making excuses for him for so long.

I made the decision yesterday and went against my better judgement. I’m a strong advocate of sex worker safety but I was so mentally lost this week.
I had started communicating with this guy earlier this week. He had given me his full name, occupation, address, and telephone number upon our first conversation. Of course I did my research and verified everything but sometimes it’s not enough.
I went to his apartment in SW DC yesterday and once we met it was red flag after red flag. He greeted me in the parking garage and we elevated up to his floor. While in the elevator he stroked my hair (RED FLAG!). We walked into his mediocre apartment and started chatting right away. He had ordered me sushi prior to me arriving and I carefully watched him open each double knotted bag and container. While we ate he mentioned he had 40 previous arrangements within the last 20 years! (RED FLAG!)
During the entire two hours I was there we discussed his government background and high status. It was so boring but he was giving off creepy vibes the entire time. He kept twitching. NONSTOP. After rambling for so long he stopped and placed his hand on my thigh and said “I’ve been holding back from touching you and grabbing. I’m being a good boy right now” (RED FLAG!) YALL I HAD TO GTF. What he didn’t see was that knife in my pocket. Thanks but no thanks. I made a dumb ass move yesterday and it could have turned out a lot different. I just wanted to share my experience with you all so nobody makes the same mistakes as me.

You woke up, after not a really good night of sleep, thinking back to the dream you had, it was about him, you lost him, he died. You hated that thought and the feeling it came with.

You stood up from your bed, heading to your bedroom door, just as you placed your hand on the knob, you remembered what he said the night before, he wasn’t a human. You sighed, what should I do? Leave? Stay? I have nowhere to go, you kept thinking about all you options, you only had two actually, stay or leave, deep inside you knew you didn’t want to leave, you loved him and wanted to be with him, but most importantly you had no other place to go, your head kept bringing the moment where he was begging you not to leave with teary eyes, you wanted to believe that he won’t harm you, he was good with you for a long time, he deserves a chance.

You opened the door and walked to the kitchen to have something to eat, because taking a decision with an empty stomach is not a good idea. After having breakfast with no sight of him, you walked to the living room, seeing his keys you were sure he was still home, in his room.

He didn’t sleep all night, even though he can sleep he doesn’t need it as much as humans do, how could he sleep? With the thought of you leaving him, he shivered when he heard the voice of your footsteps at the morning, is she going to leave me? Where would she go? What am I going to do without her? He kept asking himself but he had no answer to those questions, when he smelled the smell of food he felt relieved, it means you won’t just leave. He couldn’t get out of the room, he was afraid he would scare you, he just stayed there sitting on the mattress, listening to the sounds you made.

The one where he thinks you cheated on him (Harry imagine)

You immediately noticed something was very wrong when you came home from work. Harry was sitting behind his computer and he didn’t even look up when you entered the living room. And when you walked over to him to give him a kiss, he didn’t even flinch, so you just ended up giving him a kiss on the cheek. ‘Are you okay?’ You asked while undoing yourself from your coat and shoes. And when he didn’t reply, it was clear to you that he was mad about something. This was not Harry’s usual behaviour. ‘Harry? What’s wrong?’ You asked again, with no response. But then you saw the magazine lying on the table. And you understood right away what bothered him. ‘Harry… This magazine is-…’ But he cut you off from the moment you pronounced the word. ‘The magazine is what?’ He yelled, while standing up. And you wear surprised about how he was acting without even knowing what was going on. ‘The magazine is lying? Is that what you wanted to say? I don’t care what the magazine says. I care about you standing on that cover with a dude I don’t even know about!’ He had bottled this up for quite some hours. That was for sure. ‘Harry that’s not a random dude. That’s-…’. ‘Oh no, of course that’s not a random dude! It’s probably your new love interest.’ He threw his hands in the air while moving from the one side of the room, to the other. ‘What the hell? No! Why would you even think that!’ You exclaimed, getting angry as well. ‘If you just let me explain… I-…’ But again, he interrupted you. And you were kind of getting sick of it. ‘I don’t even know what you can explain about that. You going out with a dude, without me knowing anything from it!’ His eyes met yours and he looked so outraged. You had never saw him like this in the two years you were together. ‘You know what, Y/N. Just go. I can’t talk about this right now. Just go.’ He growled, walking away from you to the kitchen. And it was in that moment the doorbell rang. You stood there, on the edge of crying, and it was not the timing for anyone to be at your front door. But you had no choice, so you gathered yourself and went to see who was there. ‘William!’ You exclaimed looking in the eyes of the man from the magazine. And you forgot he was planning on stepping by today. You immediately noticed his little son standing next to him. ‘Hi, Y/N!’ William said, handing you a clothing bag. ‘Here is your bridesmaid dress, I told you about! Laurel is convinced that you’ll love it.’ You heard Harry’s footsteps entering the living room again. ‘I have a little favour to ask you though. I really need to go to the church for some last minute stuff. Are you free to watch Thomas for an hour?’ He smiled sheepishly. It would be a great opportunity to give Harry his time. Although you kind of had the idea he already figured out what was going on by now. ‘Of course… Yeah. I was just planning on leaving for a walk. You want to go to the park, Thomas?’ You tried to sound happy, and it kind of worked. But you felt horrible. Harry’s face from a couple of minutes ago, telling you to go, was still lingering on your mind. Thomas, on the other hand, nodded excited. ‘Okay… Thank you so much, Y/N.’ William said while kissing your cheek and leaving the two of you behind. It was obvious he was in a rush. ‘Okay, Thomas. I’m going to take my coat.’ You said to the little boy, when you turned around and grabbed your jacket and shoes. And when you were ready to go, you met Harry’s eyes. And he stood there, silent and still, staring at you with such a defeated and sad look. You almost wanted to go and wrap your arms around him. But you figured that was not really something he deserved right now. ‘I’ll be back to gather my stuff.’ You said instead, before you walked to Thomas again, went outside and shut the door behind you. And you couldn’t shake of Harry’s miserable look.

An hour later you met William outside your house. He picked up Thomas and gave you a little bit more information about Laurel’s bachelorette party of next week. You said your goodbyes, and when they left, you sighed deeply before entering your house, not really sure what to expect. You found Harry, sitting at the dinner table, his hands buried in his hair. Now he looked up immediately when he heard you entering the room. And you just stood there for a moment. Eyes meeting, and not saying a word. You took in all of his emotions and you figured this last hour had been a torture for him, when you saw his guilty and desperate eyes. You waited a while for him to say anything, but he didn’t spoke once. So you nodded slowly before you started moving. ‘I’ll go take my stuff.’ You said softly. And he answered immediately, slowly and thoughtful. ‘No, you don’t.’ He spoke out, while standing up and grabbing your wrist gently, preventing you from moving further. ‘I forgot. Okay? I forgot. I didn’t know he was William.’ And it was indeed true. Harry did know about William and Laurel getting married. William was an old friend of yours. But he and Harry had never met before. But you had mentioned it to him a couple of times that you were helping them with organizing the wedding. ‘I could’ve told you if you let me.’ You muttered, staring at the ground. And he lifted your head by placing his finger on your chin. ‘I know. And I’m sorry. I was jealous. I was hurt. And I thought you cheated on me. And I know it’s so wrong for me to even think that kind of stuff. Because I know you would never do something like that. I don’t know what I was thinking. I probably thought to much. Because you weren’t here. And I started to imagine things. And It was just not okay…’ He explained. And you saw a glimpse of how he had felt the hours before you got home. Harry could be insecure once in a while. And now he definitely had a moment like that. ‘Don’t go… I don’t want you too. I can’t lose you… Not like this. Not ever.’ He whispered softly, full of hurt and hope. You were never planning on actually going. You would never be able to do that, when he looked like this. ‘I won’t leave you.’ You whispered back. ‘I would never leave you.’ And you cupped his cheek with your hand. He closed his eyes while feeling your touch on his skin, when a small smile appeared on his face. ‘I love you so much…’ He breathed out while pulling you into his chest and holding you so close and tight. And you felt your heart going back to normal again. Because for the last hour it had felt like breaking. You weren’t sure what to do if it actually ever did. You didn’t think you would survive that. And Harry wouldn’t either. He reached for your lips and it felt amazing to finally kiss your other half again. And it was then, that you realized you would never have to survive your breaking heart. Because Harry wouldn’t be the one breaking it. Harry would be the one to guard it and help you back up if someone else ever did. ‘I love you too…’

NOTE: Someone requested this a while ago. I’m sorry it took me so long to do it. I’m going to try and get them all done now the following days. I also chose random names in this one. Hope you don’t mind. It’s easier than working with Y/F/N… I don’t really like that actually :-p
