This is pretty typical PETA horseshit. What’s going to happen to those carriage horses they’re going to “save?” They’ll be put down of course; PETA isn’t offering to pay for their upkeep once they’ve put the horse and carriage industry out of business.
I wonder how much money is in the NYC contract to replace the horses with “vintage electric cars,” whatever those are supposed to be. Why would anyone pay to get driven around in an electric car? The finances of NYCLASS and Mayor DeBlasio’s relatives and friends need to be investigated. This stinks of corruption. There’s no proof, but it makes absolutely no sense to me why this would even be considered unless there is a backroom deal going on.
