Tyrael’s armor is finally done. I am so happy I was able to finish it on time :-D
I’m still working on painting the sword, but that shouldn’t take too long.
I realized I never showed you the back of the costume. The wing covers house a harness and support structure attached to a weight belt. Unfortunately, I ran out of time to make the wings, but since I have all the supplies I’ll probably make them after PAX. It’s probably for the best this time around because it’s going to be hard enough getting this into the convention center with all the snow.
I’m not sure if I’m actually going to wear the gloves for long. They look cool, but it’s really hard to pick stuff up or do anything with them on. I don’t want to drop Eldruin lol. Maybe I’ll just wear them for a few pictures and wear black gloves the rest of the time.
I will probably also throw together some stuff for fallen Tyrael tonight. It would be nice to walk around the convention center in a relatively unencumbered state while still in costume. I have all the cloth, so really I just need to sew a couple things. And sloppiness is fine because his robes are dirty and tattered.
If any of you are going to PAX, you should come find me. I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday dressed as either Tyrael or the Fallout vault dweller.
I haven’t shared a Tyrael picture in quite some time, and I still have so many really good ones from my shoot with 7 of Diamonds Photo - John Berry! I really love the photos we took in front of the falls. The natural scenery just goes so well with the Archangel of Justice.
I’ve been working on the Monk’s weapons. Hopefully, I’ll have some nice progress pictures to show you in a day or two.
I had an awesome time with 7 of Diamonds Photo - John Berry at our photo shoot yesterday! We got so many badass pictures of Tyrael in so many badass locations. Here is the first preview shot. I can’t wait to show you guys the rest of what we did.
Brace yourselves for lots of Tyrael spam over the next few weeks <3
I’m finally back from PAX East! Completely exhausted and my room looks like an angry tornado went through there, but it was totally worth it! I dressed as Tyrael both Saturday and Sunday, met so many amazing cosplayers and photographers, and got tons of awesome swag.
While I wait for better photos from some of my friends and a few photographers, please enjoy this picture taken the morning I left for the convention :-)
