@hoshino1000 Update trans

Thank you very much for the warm messages. Its official now that Crown has issued an announcement. Some might be disappointed because of the quarterly issue of magazine but this is now the only place me and the editorial department can draw D. Gray-man. These passing days, I honestly enjoyed each comments I’ve read from everyone. I am sorry I always talk too much. Please enjoy the style (referring to the drawing) from now on. That is the best way to not bother the Editorial Department who agreed to do the junk art (omg DGM isn’t junk though (இдஇ; ) Words from you guys always encourage me. Thank you very much. From Hoshino Katsura.

I’ve waited for 3 years and I honestly feel excited ( • ̀ω•́ )✧

before the tag explodes

please don’t flood hoshino’s instagram with questions about the potential reserealisation

the source given here is pretty legit but we don’t have an official confirmation on jump sq’s site yet so please bear that in mind, and hoshino will probably make an official statement herself if this news isn’t a hoax so keep an eye out for that on her ig.

however it does look very very promising. jump sq’s pages for sq.crown can be found here and their twitter is here.

I found out something really important about Lavi.

Okay, so you know how everyone thinks Lavi’s name means “Lion” in English? Because it’s gotta be true if you type it into babynames or behindthename and that’s the listed meaning, right? WRONG.

Romanized, the name may have been shortened to Lavi, but the actual Hebrew for the name is לָבִיא. This is not Lavi. This is LavieLavie means “Lion”. So what does Lavi mean? Oh, I’ll tell you what it means.

Lavi means heart.

And I’m thinking this is on purpose, since Hoshino does a LOT of name symbolism. Deak was the surnam/occupational name for someone who could write, a scholar, or a priest teacher. It can also mean notary or literally “one who writes history”. There a many other names Hoshino uses as a means of symbolism (Nea, Mana, Adam, Tyki, Apocryphos, and more) but I thought this one was especially important.
