Types of Teas

I’ve always loved drinking tea, it makes me feel calm and at peace with my surroundings. I drink about 3-4 cups of tea each day and this summer on my trip to China I had the chance to experience an actual tea ceremony, where I tried loads of different varieties of tea, many of which I’d never even heard of before. It was a fantastic and very atmospheric experience and it helped me to appreciate the wonder of tea even more.

one of the best ways to exfoliate your skin is dry brushing. in addition to exfoliating it stimulates your lymph system, which detoxifies your skin and your body. however there’s really incorrect information about how to dry brush. a lot of people will tell you “always brush toward the heart”. this is based on the fact that your lymph flow does go up on your arms and legs; “toward” the heart. other parts of your body however don’t work this way.

people will always say to rub in semicircles or to go back and forth. this is because it seems like it will really exfoliate your skin, and it will, but it will also jack up your lymph flow and can make your heart race and make you lightheaded! always brush in ONE direction, following the lymph flow. skin brushing is best before a shower so you can wash the dead skin off. some people say it’s an alternative to using soap; it isn’t and you will still smell if you don’t wash with soap afterward. however one thing you’ll notice is soap will suds up way more after dry brushing so it is a good way to stretch expensive product.

facial brushing is also really great! unfortunately very few brushes are made for your face and they need to be very soft or they’ll irritate your skin. there’s a facial brush by bodecare, an Australian company, that is now on Amazon for $25 with shipping! they also have a tutorial on how to brush your face, and how to properly care for a dry brush.

i love dry brushing sooo much, everyone should try it. just make sure you moisturizer your skin, and drink water after you get out of the shower or you could get dehydrated

how do I get rid of pimples

I’m just gonna list shit for ya:

  • Wash your face twice daily. Buy a face wash depending on your skin (if it’s oily, dry, etc…) Try getting a face mask too.
  • Don’t touch/pop your acne. It’ll leave scars. Just don’t touch it ok.
  • Drink hella water because it helps detoxify and purify your skin.
  • Eat healthy. Foods that are highly processed and contain a lot of oils increase the amount of acne.
  • Use a moisturizer or something after you wash your face.
  • See your doctor??
  • Google has better tips than I do.
  • Don’t stress over acne. It’s normal and they don’t make you ugly.
  • You’re beautiful.
