Illegal Israeli Settlements
Everyone has more or less heard of illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
What has never been emphasized is that what are these settlements and why are they illegal.
We have to keep in mind that the whole of Palestine is illegally occupied including what is referred to as Israel. So this brings us back to the question of what are illegal settlements.
Illegal settlements are properties built on stolen Palestinian land. This land has been agreed by both sides as part of the Palestinian territories.
Israel has got a long history of violating agreements and stealing Palestinian land.Everytime Israel has launched false flag military operations against the Palestinians they have always ended up grabbing more land.
The whole world recognises that these are illegal settlements including the UN
Despite international condemnation Israel continues to steal more land and build more illegal settlements. The truth is that Israel has never been made to face any consequences for these illegal settlements.
The illegal Israeli settlers are well known for harassing, abusing and even attacking Palestinians. The Israeli army patrols these settlements to protect the illegal settlers.
There have been times when Israeli soldiers have even joined the settlers in order to harass and abuse the Palestinians.
Most of the world is not aware about the fact of how radical and aggressive these illegal Israeli settlers are.
Israel uses any excuse to bulldoze Palestinian homes.
How is this justified where you have Palestinian homes bulldozed and on top of that have their land stolen to build homes for illegal Israeli settlers.
While Palestinians end up losing their homes you have the occupiers rewarded with newly built homes on stolen land.
Make no mistake about it these illegal settlements have the full backing of the Israeli government.
The one thing that is worth mentioning is that the illegal settlers are governed by civil Israeli law while the Palestinians live under military rule.
Under military rule the Palestinians are subjected to humiliating checkpoints, curfews, detentions without charge and many other oppressing and humiliating standards.
So when you hear of peace negotiations breaking down do take these illegal Israeli settlements into consideration.
These illegal Israeli settlements are not the only obstacle blocking the peace process but is a core issue of this conflict.
We always hear of the rhetoric that both sides need to sit together and find a peaceful solution. What is never mentioned is that one side is not really interested in resolving this issue.
There is one more fact that Israel has never declared it’s borders. This means that their main goal has always been to expand.
So people who is not interested in peace?
Imagine someone coming into your home and claim that it belongs to them under the pretext that their ancestors lived there before.
How would you feel being forced out of your home, what would your reaction be?

We should demand recognition that Israel is occupied Palestine, that all Israeli towns and cities are illegal settlements, and that it is time to free Palestine and its people from the illegitimate colonialist regime known as Israel.

Hunger Striking Detainees Affirm Steadfastness

In a letter sent by hunger striking Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, the detainees stated their strike, and their ongoing legitimate battle, is ongoing despite aggression, and despite their pain, suffering and illness.

“From the heart of our cells, from our pain and suffering, our hunger that weakened us, and our fragile bodies, our legs that cannot hold us anymore, and our weak arms, we remain steadfast and continue our strike,” the letter stated .

“Our bodies are collapsing, we can barely move our eyes, our heartbeats slowly fading away, and even writing this letter required a hard work,” the detainees said. “We are writing this letter to express our suffering, the abuse carried out against us every single day. Our battle today entered its 36 day, and we are ongoing with this strike. ”

“We are sending a scream, a shout, from behind the walls of our dark cells, between the tusks of death and our jailers, while death stands in front of us, inhabits our cells,” they said. “We don’t know who will be taken by death first, but the jailor is just waiting, betting on our defeat.”

“Our great beloved Palestinian people, do you accept to have us be an easy bite between the fangs of our merciless jailers?”, The letter reads. “We are behind bars, spending years of our lives for Palestine, for its liberation and the freedom of its people.”

“The Palestinian people are steadfast on their land; as any other nation, they have the right to freedom, independence and dignity. Our battle, as administrative detainees, is open-ended. We started our hunger strike 36 days ago, while this battle is just of one countless battles for freedom, it is a battle against injustice wherever its exists. ”

“We have no guns, no rifles, no cannons; we are armed with the weapon of hunger. This is how we resist this sword pointed at our necks, the sword of administrative detention, holding us without charges or trial. ”

“Our great Palestinian nation, defenders of justice all over the world, organizations struggling for Palestinian rights, all governments and free media outlets; you are our only hope. ”

“You are the hope of solidarity and support while we hold this lengthy battle, the battle of every Palestinian, for liberation, dignity. And for the end of this illegitimate administrative detention, indefinitely holding us prisoner without charges or trial.”

“Peace and God’s blessing and mercy be upon you - your hunger striking brothers in the Zionist jails of darkness and oppression. Representing the detainees; detainee Khalil Mousa Zawahra, and detainee Mousa Yacoub Ma'marjy. Thursday, May 29, 2014 ”

Jill Stein 2016

Yo yo yo! Listen up people of the United States on Tumblr!

Are you tired of the ‘bipartisan’ bullshit in our government?

Me too. Vote for Jill Stein and support the Green Party.

Here’s what she’s all about!:

“My Power to the People Plan creates deep system change, moving from the greed and exploitation of corporate capitalism to a human-centered economy that puts people, planet and peace over profit.

It offers direct answers to the economic, social, and ecological crises brought on by both corporate political parties. And it empowers the American people to fix our broken political system and make real the promise of democracy.

This plan will end unemployment and poverty; avert climate catastrophe; build a sustainable, just economy; and recognize the dignity and human rights of everyone in our society and our world. The power to create this new world is not in our hopes, it’s not in our dreams - it’s in our hands.” - Jill Stein

Key points of the Power to the People Plan:

A Green New Deal: Create millions of jobs by transitioning to 100% clean renewable energy by 2030, and investing in public transit, sustainable agriculture, and conservation.

Jobs as a Right: Create living-wage jobs for every American who needs work, replacing unemployment offices with employment offices. Advance workers rights to form unions, achieve workplace democracy, and keep a fair share of the wealth they create.

End Poverty: Guarantee economic human rights, including access to food, water, housing, and utilities, with effective anti-poverty programs to ensure every American a life of dignity.

Health Care as a Right: Establish an improved “Medicare For All” single-payer public health insurance program to provide everyone with quality health care, at huge savings.

Education as a Right: Abolish student debt to free a generation of Americans from debt servitude. Guarantee tuition-free, world-class public education from pre-school through university. End high stakes testing and public school privatization.

A Just Economy: Set a $15/hour federal minimum wage. Break up “too-big-to-fail” banks and democratize the Federal Reserve. Reject gentrification as a model of economic development. Support development of worker and community cooperatives and small businesses. Make Wall Street, big corporations, and the rich pay their fair share of taxes. Create democratically run public banks and utilities. Replace corporate trade agreements with fair trade agreements.

Protect Mother Earth: Lead on a global treaty to halt climate change. End destructive energy extraction: fracking, tar sands, offshore drilling, oil trains, mountaintop removal, and uranium mines. Protect our public lands, water supplies, biological diversity, parks, and pollinators. Label GMOs, and put a moratorium on GMOs and pesticides until they are proven safe. Protect the rights of future generations.

Freedom and Equality: End police brutality, mass incarceration and institutional racism within our justice system. Expand women’s rights, protect LGBT people from discrimination, defend indigenous rights and lands, and create a welcoming path to citizenship for immigrants. Protect the free Internet, replace drug prohibition with harm reduction, and legalize marijuana/hemp.

Justice for All: Restore our Constitutional rights, terminate unconstitutional surveillance and unwarranted spying, end persecution of government and media whistleblowers, close Guantanamo, abolish secret kill lists, and repeal indefinite detention without charge or trial.

Peace and Human Rights: Establish a foreign policy based on diplomacy, international law, and human rights. End the wars and drone attacks, cut military spending by at least 50% and close the 700+ foreign military bases that are turning our republic into a bankrupt empire. Stop U.S. support and arms sales to human rights abusers, and lead on global nuclear disarmament.

Empower the People: Abolish corporate personhood. Protect voters’ rights by establishing a constitutional right to vote.  Enact electoral reforms that break the big money stranglehold and create truly representative democracy: public campaign financing, ranked-choice voting, proportional representation, and open debates.

If this sounds nice and reasonable, spread her name, and vote Stein when the time arrives! <3
