me, shouting over the sounds of the wailing foreign souls slain in every war we have ever agressed: THE AMERICAN MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX CAN AND WILL LAY ABSOLUTE DESOLUTION TO ANY COUNTRY OPPOSING IT, DONALD TRUMP HOLDS OUR LIVES AND THE LIVES OF OUR POLITICAL ENEMIES IN HIS TINY TINY HANDS AND WE SHOULD BE SCARED OF THE POWER WE HAVE AS CITIZENS OF AMERICA, NOT OF THE ONE OF TWO MISSLES THAT WILL MOST LIKELY NOT BE LAUNCHED
I was just sitting bored outta my mind so I decided to take a look at the so-called *anti tony* tag.. n I laughed so hard..
Those people don’t have any valid reasons to hate Tony.. they just hate him ‘coz he’s rich and successful.. while comparitively, the others (Rogers, Romanoff, Barton, Wilson) are desolute and they need a billionare to feed and clothe them..
If u wanna hate Tony at least have a legit reason yaar..
Harrison was sure he had been in some kind of accident. He had woken, with no memory of who he was really, or how he had come to be laying in the middle of the busy street in Diagon Alley. He could remember the alley…remember magic, spells, books about it. But nothing about himself personally.
Like why his body was covered in spidery golden scars.
He couldn’t even truly remember his name, although the name ‘Harry’ and ‘Riddle’ sounded very familiar with him so he chose those. Harrison Riddle, who must be a muggleborn who had a terrible accident.
Probably something to do with this Dark Lord tosser.
Harrison was soon taken in by Dumbledore, the headmaster of the school and set up there for the new coming semester, since it was deemed safest for him to stay. His skin hurt whenever someone touched it, but it was getting better. But his dreams were not.
He was having nightmares really. Of a snake faced man, the death of so many people that he felt he should know, and a world that was almost desolute. And of this little tiny clocks that spun on your hand. But now he was standing here in the office, an old hat on his head. He didn’t even jump when the hat shouted Gryffindor and allowed the headmaster to sit him down as he called for the Gryffindor prefect, Remus Lupin.
What is Scarlet? Scarlet is the second book in the Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer, the fourth and last instalment of which comes out this November. Scarlet follows a girl named, you guessed it, Scarlet in a futuristic France whilst also following the protagonist of the last book Cinder and the people she meets along the way.
With all the Lunar Chronicles books Scarlet is based on a fairytale, this one is a adaptation of Little Red Riding hood but I feel it also has strong undertones of Beauty and the Beast, which is by far my favourite romantic plot line. Scarlet meets her Wolf at a bar near her home, only a few weeks after her Grandmother who mysteriously goes missing.
The story progresses with all the action, romance and friendship that I have come to expect of Meyer. There is something so enjoyable about the teamwork, and how excited I get every time I think characters will finally meet, and her friendships are so close and believable- it is truly special.
It is also such a relief, once again, to see a fictional future that doesn’t involve the desolution of the world and also shows a county outside America, sometimes I feel authors forget there is a world outside the US.
Meyer’s comic relief and balance with the serious plot line of teenage rebellion and the overthrowing a evil queen makes for a riveting and never boring read. I am so happy that I picked up Cinder, and Scarlet did not suffer the second book blues.
This book is a 5 ice cream book for me, Marissa Meyer I am your slave now.
Bottom line, if you like either fantasy, sci-fi or where a massive fan of disney princesses kicking ass like I was as I child then this series is is a must read.
