Russian hackers penetrated U.S. electricity grid through a utility in Vermont, U.S. officials say
A code associated with the Russian hacking operation dubbed Grizzly Steppe was detected.

A code associated with the Russian hacking operation dubbed Grizzly Steppe by the Obama administration has been detected within the system of a Vermont utility, according to U.S. officials.

While the Russians did not actively use the code to disrupt operations, according to officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a security matter, the discovery underlines the vulnerabilities of the nation’s electrical grid. Officials in government and the utility industry regularly monitor the grid because it is highly computerized and any disruptions can have disastrous implications for the country’s medical and emergency services.

American officials, including one senior administration official, said they are not yet sure what the intentions of the Russians might have been. The incursion may have been designed to disrupt the utility’s operations or as a test to see whether they could penetrate a portion of the grid.

An Official Message from the Consulate

This is a special message from the Ghirapur Consulate to inform all citizens of two new city-wide ordinances.

(1) All citizens must be in their homes with doors locked and windows shuttered between last and first light.
As part of the safety program established by the eleven consuls and our esteemed head judge Tezzeret, we are implementing a city-wide curfew. We are keenly aware of increased renegade activity on our streets after nightfall; this ordinance is designed to disrupt destructive and dangerous tactics, and allow us to apprehend deviants. We recognize that a curfew may put a strain on the creative activities and business operations of our citizens, and thus we will do everything in our power to quash renegade forces as quickly as possible so regular activity can resume. To that end, we have deployed a new fleet of Consulate observation thopters to help enforce the curfew and spot suspicious activity. Renegade forces don’t sleep, and neither do we.

(2) All citizens must submit to a background check; those who pass will be allotted an aether quota.
The Consulate must strictly regulate aether distribution within the city because renegades have been using publicly supplied aether to power weapons and vehicles. By depriving them access to aether, we can prevent these dangerous devices from functioning. As we implement these regulations and quota, personal workshops and private businesses may experience delays in their regular canister shipment, and pipelines might be shut down intermittently. We ask for your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this time. Your safety and the protection of our city are our top priorities.

As always, we encourage citizens to report suspicious activity to a Consulate official or the nearest peacewalker. Ghirapur is a city built on the cooperation and unity of our brilliant citizens. With your support, it will thrive once again.

LEXUS - Design Disrupted (Full Performance)

On September 5th, 2013, LEGS and Lexus brought the worlds of fashion, art and technology to a colliding halt at MADE Fashion Week. Holographic imagery, avant-garde dance and 3D projection mapping fuse and erupt in a stunning and magnetic immersive experience, starring Coco Rocha as the heroine. Directed by Radical Friend and inspired by Giles Deacon’s theatrical collection, the story tracks Rocha as she battles opposing forces on a path to independence from darkness to light, ultimately finding her own liberation.

With Andrew Thomas Huang and Radical Friend as creative directors, LEGS pulled together a stunning technical display, blurring the lines of reality and fiction. Featuring choreography by Ryan Heffington and original musical score by HEALTH, the 15 minute performance sent chills down the spines of its star-studded audience, in a fashion show to remember.

Something is bugging me about something Eyeball Ruby said in Bubbled vs. something Bismuth said.

Eyeball doesn’t really care about Steven showing her his shield, which Rose was also able to summon. What Eyeball does fixate on though, is Rose’s giant sword. Which makes sense if Eyeball is remembering Rose shattering Pink Diamond, that Eyeball would remember the murder weapon.

But that can’t be. Bismuth, who made Rose’s sword, said that it was designed specifically to disrupt a gem’s form but never shatter another gem. Making weapons was a big deal to Bismuth, so we have no reason she’d lie about this, or be wrong about her own creation. She was a skilled person, so it’s unlikely she made some kind of mistake when making the sword, and every use of Rose’s sword matches up with what Bismuth said about it.

So what really happened?
