Denise: I’m not going back to Hillman.
Cliff: Wanna bet?
Denise: And, who am I? An industrious young woman who wants to examine life without… pressure!
Denise is the second daughter of Clair and Cliff Huxtable. She is stylish, brilliant and babely. The level of grace with which she holds herself is paralleled by no other (excluding her lovely mother, of course). Denise changes boyfriends as frequently as she changes hairstyles, because Denise she does what she wants. She travels to Africa for a year to work as a photographer’s assistant. She meets a military man and secretly marries him. Denise is so inspirational as a character because she’s brave. She relies on the power of love to guide her choices, through college, shotgun marriage, and becoming a stepmother. She doesn’t really care about what other people think, or ultimately about many of the consequences of her actions; she is impulsive and carefree and always remains true to herself.
