“The first skater from the Zephyr team to enter the competition was its youngest and most naturally gifted. Thirteen year old Jay Adams, with his explosive energy and bold moves had opitimized the Dogtown style.”
“Jay Adams went out for his first freestyle routine, the first guy they had seen from our team, we knew that they didn’t know what they were about to see. And boom the world had changed, it was never going to be the same for skateboarding again.”
Some of my favorite shots of Beholder over the years. It’s been a privilege to see and photograph her over her career. I’ll miss seeing her on the track, but wish her the best in her well-deserved retirement!
