definitely how i feel right now

anonymous asked:

Do you think there will be a shared sense between Rey and Kylo? We've already seen the lines "The girl, Rey... I know her. I sense her. she is mine." in Battlefront 2, but do you think in the movie they'll have it? For example, when Rey puts her hand out to the rain, might it be possible Kylo will feel her in that moment? I love how much Reylo is all over the net right now. It's pretty dang cool.

I can definitely see there being an element of that - there is clearly a very deep connection between Rey and Kylo, and I’d like to see that treated as an empathetic connection where they can feel and experience what the other person is going through (whether wilfully or not).

Writing Tip: Don’t Be Afraid of Mixing Dialogue and Action

So I’ve been reading a lot of amateur writing lately, and I’ve noticed what seems to be a common problem: dialogue.

Tell me if this looks familiar. You start writing a conversation, only to look down and realize it reads like:

“I’m talking now,” he said.

“Yes, I noticed,” she said.

“I have nothing much to add to this conversation,” the third person said.

And it grates on your ears. So much ‘said.’ It looks awful! It sounds repetitive. So, naturally, you try to shake it up a bit:

“Is this any better?” He inquired.

“I’m not sure,” she mused.

“I definitely think so!” that other guy roared.

This is not an improvement. This is worse.

Now your dialogue is just as disjointed as it was before, but you have the added problem of a bunch of distracting dialogue verbs that can have an unintentionally comedic effect.

So here’s how you avoid it: You mix up the dialogue with description.

“Isn’t this better?” he asked, leaning forward in his seat. “Don’t you feel like we’re more grounded in reality?”

She nodded, looking down at her freshly manicured nails. “I don’t feel like a talking head anymore.”

“Right!” that annoying third guy added. “And now you can get some characterization crammed into the dialogue!”

The rules of dialogue punctuation are as follows:

  • Each speaker gets his/her own paragraph - when the speaker changes, you start a new paragraph.
  • Within the speaker’s own paragraph, you can include action, interior thoughts, description, etc.
  • You can interrupt dialogue in the middle to put in a “said” tag, and then write more dialogue from that same speaker.
  • You can put the “said” tag at the beginning or end of the sentence.
  • Once you’ve established which characters are talking, you don’t need a “said” tag every time they speak.
  • ETA: use a comma instead of a period at the end of a sentence of dialogue, and keep the ‘said’ tag in lower caps. If you end on a ? or !, the ‘said’ tag is still in lower case. (thanks, commenters who pointed this out!)

Some more examples:

“If you’re writing an incomplete thought,” he said, “you put a comma, then the quote mark, then the dialogue tag.”

“If the sentence ends, you put in a period.” She pointed at the previous sentence. “See? Complete sentences.”

“You can also replace the dialogue tag with action.” Extra guy yawned. “When you do, you use a period instead of a comma.”

So what do you do with this newfound power? I’m glad you asked.

  • You can provide description of the character and their surroundings in order to orient them in time and space while talking.
  • You can reveal characterization through body language and other nonverbal cues that will add more dimension to your dialogue.
  • You can add interior thoughts for your POV character between lines of dialogue - especially helpful when they’re not saying quite what they mean.
  • You can control pacing. Lines of dialogue interrupted by descriptions convey a slower-paced conversation. Lines delivered with just a “said” tag, or with no dialogue tag at all, convey a more rapid-fire conversation.

For example:

“We’ve been talking about dialogue for a while,” he said, shifting in his seat as though uncomfortable with sitting still.

“We sure have,” she agreed. She rose from her chair, stretching. “Shall we go, then?”

“I think we should.”

“Great. Let’s get out of here.”

By controlling the pacing, you can establish mood and help guide your reader along to understanding what it is that you’re doing.

I hope this helps you write better dialogue! If you have questions, don’t hesitate to drop me an ask :)

I was going through and old notebook, and I found an unfinished comic I started months ago about this vine. I’ve decided to redraw it digitally, and I quite like how it looks! It’s definitely an improvement from how it looked before. I feel like Dennis’s eye color has changed a few times, but I quite like the grey he’s got right now. It’s very “generic protagonist”, I think.

(Hey @prozdvoices I don’t know how long you’ll be there, but I saw that you’re on the guest list for AAC this year! I’ll be going as Robin from FE:A for the weekend, so I might see you there! ^^)

Headcanons for losers club meeting in group therapy.

I took this a bit further than I meant to, I hope you like it though because I love addressing mental health
(I based it off my own experiences and knowledge so I’m so so sorry if anything is not accurate)

- They all have the same therapist (she’s called Jackie) but they’ve never met each other

- she takes them all for different things

- Bill has depression from loosing his brother (‘n-n-not dead…j-j-just m-m-missing) and anger issues from getting frustrated with his stutter

- Beverly has depression and PTSD from her father and addiction to smoking

- Ben has social anxiety and topophobia from moving so much and getting bullied

- Mike has insomnia and PTSD from his parents death and having to work on the farm

- Richie has ADHD, bipolar disorder and addiction to smoking just from genetics and how his parents treat him

- Stan has chronic OCD and anxiety from his father being a perfectionist

- Eddie has chronic Mysophobia , anxiety and is the worst hypochondriac she’s ever seen

- She has problems with all of them being closed off for some reason

- Bill doesn’t like talking because when he tries to talk about loosing his brother his stutter gets worse, then he gets frustrated and gets overwhelmed

- Beverly just can’t bring herself to talk about it, talking about her dad sets off her PTSD and she gets super defensive about her smoking

- Ben is actually quite intimidated by Jackie, he knows deep down that she wants to help but can’t help but feel like he’s just putting his problems on someone else’s shoulders

- Mike is the easiest one to open up, he needs to know that someone is there and supporting him but at the same time he can’t talk about his parents without tearing up

- Richie talks about everything that isn’t his problems and wastes their hour pretty much every time, although some days he comes in and pours his little heart out

- Stan has told himself if he lets people know about his problems and says them out loud then it’ll make it all worse

- Eddies the only one who’ll willingly talk about what’s happening although he’s insecure about telling her incase she thinks he’s stupid

- so basically, she has a hard time with all of them but she still wants to help them all so bad

- So she proposes to her team leader that she should have an extra session with them once a week where they’re all together

- once she gets the all clear, she tells them about it

- They all agree sounded slightly worried and unwilling, other than Richie who was having a fantastic day and is ready to meet his new fucking friends

- the first session was…interesting to say the least

- Jackie set the chairs in a circle

- the first to arrive was Stan, he always needed to be early no matter what incase he missed something and took the seat next to Jackie

- Eddie was the second to arrive, he took the seat on the other side of her

- As a therapist, this warmed her heart as she knew they did that to feel safer

- She introduced them and got them talking about why bedrooms should be kept tidy, needless to say they become friends right away

- Bill was the third to arrive, he had gotten the wrong room at first and was kinda upset

- he walked in whispering the paragraph that helped his stutter, looking down

- He didn’t look up until he was sitting down at the furthest seat from Jackie in the circle

- She started to introduce them but he honestly wasn’t listening, he was too busy staring at the cute boy with curly hair in front of him

- Stan catches him staring but that doesn’t stop him, he just watches as Stan’s cheeks redden

- next to arrive is Ben and Mike, they weren’t really friends yet but they helped each other find the room

- And finally, Bev and Richie walked in taking as if they had been friends for years (slightly late)

- apparently Richie’s lighter had given up on him so Bev offered hers up, they became friends pretty quickly

- Ben is awestruck by Bev

- They both sat in the remaining two seats left

- As soon as Richie sat down he noticed the small boy next to Jackie and ended up doing the exact thing Bill did with Stan

- Jackie goes around the circle, asking everyone to introduce themselves and their problem and also say how they’re feeling today

- When it comes to Richie, he’s still looking at Eddie

- ‘I’m Richie, I have ADHD and I’m so fucking gay right now’

- Everyone (including Jackie) laughs, they like Richie already

- The session went okay, nothing too interesting happened and they just talked about stuff

- Jackie definitely noticed how they became more open as the hour passed by

- Although Richie spends most the time flirting with Eddie

- Stan leaves last, Bill waits for him by the front door and Stan swears he didn’t tear up a little

- Bill does this and walks Stan home after every session, after the sixth time they start holding hands

- Eddie eventually grows super fond of Richie so one day when said boy walks in and doesn’t talk or even really look up the whole hour, Eddie is pretty worried

- after the session, Jackie asks to talk to Richie privately and Eddie waits by the front of the building even though it’s raining

- Richie comes out after ten minutes, sniffling with red tearful eyes

- ‘Oh hey, Eddie spaghetti….isn’t your mom worried you’re not home yet?’

- 'I’m more concerned about you than my mom right now’

- Richie offers to walk Eddie home, giving Eddie his black denim jacket littered with patches somewhere along the way

- Richie also uses this time to explain his ADHD and bipolar disorder to Eddie

- 'Is there any chance I could get my jacket back? I’ll probably stay out for a bit’

- 'Sure…why are you staying out if it’s raining?’

- 'Just, parents and stuff yanno’

- with that, Eddie demands Richie stay over until his mum comes back or the rain stops

- Ben starts writing little notes and poems which he puts on Bev’s seat before every session and are signed anonymously

- Bev thinks it’s Bill at first but she sees Stan and Bill holding hands on the way home so she crosses him off the list

- one day, whilst she’s out smoking to get away from her dad she bumps into Richie

- she decides he’s a good smoking buddy and they become close, sneaking out pretty much every night to smoke together

- Richie saw Ben putting a note on Bev’s seat one day and honestly he just can’t keep it to himself

- 'Why don’t you ask Ben if he’s your secret admirer?’

- 'I might just do that’

- She leaves a note on his seat one day, with her number and the words 'my heart burns there too’

- To say Jackie is pleased with them and her decision to make their group is an understatement

You know what to do (add more) - xo

THE QUEST FOR LOVE

Relationships has never been something I’m brave enough to write about, especially in public. The love between a man and a woman to me is very personal. Add religion into the equation and it just becomes very sacred to me. I do not wish to write too long, since I have classes tomorrow at 9am and it’s exactly 4.30am right now. However, I just need to let a few things off my chest because it has been bothering me for quite a while now. Also, due to my hectic schedule, this is the only time I have to write- though I swear to god I’m super sleepy right now

Before we jump into the topic, yes I am single. Have I ever been in a relationship? The answer is also yes. I know how it feels like to love and be loved the same way I know how it feels to be completely shattered. You see, different people have different definitions of love. I strongly believe that the people we fall in love with can sometimes reflect the kind of person we are. For instance, I really value religion, knowledge and ambition. Thus, if i were to marry someone, I look for someone with these exact characteristics. I want someone who has the same goals that I have. Someone who will not only fight with me to succeed in this world, but also in the hereafter. I need someone who works just as hard as I do, not someone who is always tired and only cares about sleep. No more time should be wasted with whiny and lazy ambitionless boys. If you’re serious to pursue a relationship, look for a man.

If there’s one thing a relationship has taught me, it is the importance of maturity when it comes to love. NEVER indulge in a relationship just because it’s a ‘nice’ feeling. If you want to be with someone might as well be with a person who will help bring the best out of you, spiritually, mentally and also emotionally. If the relationship you are in is leading you towards the haraam, leave. No buts. It is just the end of a toxic relationship, not the end of the world.

By the way people, it is perfectly OKAY to be single. I have been single for over a year now, and wallahi I have never been this happy and I have been achieving so much. I always tell my friends that when you are single, you have 27 hours a day. What it essentially mean is that you’ll have more time for yourself. I know some people who can only seek comfort in the presence of their significant other. After one relationship ends they feel the need to jump into another. Chill people, chill. Take a breather. You don’t need another person to feel sufficient. Try to be comfortable and at peace with yourself with or without a relationship. You have the rest of your life to be spent with your significant other, so while you’re single, might as well really embrace/enjoy it.

Okay last point before I hit the sack, never settle. Ya Allah I can’t stress this enough. Being single is better than being with the wrong person. As they say, it’s better to wait long than marry wrong. If we dont know what we deserve, we will always settle for less. But to deserve more, we should first be more. Build your character before you choose to build a family. Study hard, learn new skills, take up a hobby, read more, travel. There’s so much that can be done when you’re single for your personal development. Take care of yourself. Your health, spirituality, intelligence, akhlak (good character) etc & inshaAllah you’ll get someone who’d do the same for you.

Jim Rohn once said, “The greatest gift you can give somebody is your own personal development. I used to say, ‘If you will take care of me, I will take care of you.’ Now I say, ‘I will take care of me for you, if you will take care of you for me”.

I know this entry is all over the place, but I’m half awake so do forgive me. I hope you find this post helpful. As for me, call me philophobic but I am personally afraid to be in a relationship again. But when the time comes, I hope the guy I end up with will be proud with the lady I have become. If you happen to read this, whoever you may be, please know that not a day passes that I don’t make do’a for you, and for us. Wherever you are in this world, I hope you are also striving to be your best self. May Allah make it easy for us to find our way to each other. See you when I see you!

Ending this cringey post with one of my favorite quotes from Rumi,

‘Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.’

Lots of love,

Aisyah

I LOVE MY FAT DISGUSTING PIG-WIFE

I’m Josh, and I love my fat disgusting pig-wife.

I’m a freelance author and lifestyle blogger. My wife is a fatass and tub of lard. I met my wife Charlotte at the county fair when I mistook her for one of the prize hogs and started feeding her corn out of my palm, careful to keep my fingers curled in so that she wouldn’t gnaw off the tips of my fingers. About a full four minutes into feeding her, I realized she wasn’t actually a hog, but was actually a very fat yet somehow sexually attractive woman! We quickly fell in love, even as she never kept her eyes off the corn. We’ve been inseparable ever since, partially because I always have a little bit of corn in my hand and she’s always sniffing and licking it. She’s so cute like that.

I love my fat butterball wife, disgusting curves and all. I love the way she really fills out her sty. For me, there is nothing sexier than this woman right here: thick thighs, big booty, bunch of chocolate sauce in her hair ‘cause she fell asleep in her sundae, contact lenses made of Necco wafers, sometimes eats out of the recycle bin if she’s too tired to get to the fridge. This gorgeous girl I married fills out every inch of her jeans and is still the fattest one in the room. But hey, that’s just me. I’m a feminist, and so is my big-as-a-house revolting wife.

As a teenager, I was teased for being attracted to things that didn’t even look human, like women fatter than a size 4 and big rocks and like those old timey bikes with one big round wheel. Then, as I became a man and started to educate myself on issues such as feminism and farm animals, I realized how many men have bought into the lies of the media. A woman doesn’t have to be tall and thin to be beautiful! A woman doesn’t even have to have a name or personality! She can just be a shapeless blob with no distinguishing marks about her like a pile of condensed milk. That’s how I feel about my gorgeous, disgusting wife Carly. Wait, is that her name, “Carly?” That doesn’t look right. What’s her name? Definitely something with a C. I’d ask her, but her mouth is full right now, as she is eating Thanksgiving dinner in August.

Sure, my wife isn’t going to be on the cover of Cosmopolitan, except when she sits on it because I’ve lined her kennel with issues of Cosmopolitan. Because when she sits around the kennel she sits aroooound the kennel. Which is fine! But Cindy is so kind. Cindy has the biggest heart of anyone I know. Even her heart is plus-sized. And I love it for that. Whether my wife is finding an old bagel tucked underneath her cute side rolls or devouring a whole chocolate fountain even the metal parts before the guy we rented it from comes to take it away, she’s always being true to herself. She’s always just being Claire.

Guys, rethink what society has told you that you should desire. A real woman is not a porn star or a bikini mannequin or a movie character. She’s perfectly unique. She has stretch marks. She has big flat teeth that she uses to bite you if you try to cut when she’s waiting in line for soft serve. She has cute little dimples on her booty that she fills with hard candies and bouillon cubes to keep for later in case she gets hungry at the DMV. The twelve teats that run vertically down her front might not all be the same size. She’s real.

Girls, don’t ever fool yourself by thinking you have to fit a certain mold to be loved and appreciated. There is a guy out there who is going to celebrate your turgid sausage of a body for exactly who you are, someone who will love you just like I love my disgusting wife Chappie. I love you, honey!

What does it mean to be mindful?

Being mindful does not necessarily have to involve setting aside hours upon hours of time to sit and reflect. It does not require any special equipment, location, prayers or mantras. Being mindful simply means taking some time, any amount that feels right to you, and truly living in the moment. Looking at your life. Reflecting on yourself.

Ask yourself, how am I genuinely feeling? Do I need anything at this current moment? How can I improve the lives’ of others as of right now?

Being mindful cannot be defined as a single thing, and there is no one definite way of doing it. Do it in a way that feels right to you. And that, my friend, is all that matters.

GoT S07E03 Thoughts

And here we go again.

As always, these are my rambling nonsensical thoughts on the episode, but disclaimer, my stream lagged so i missed maybe 30 seconds to maybe a minute of the episode. Let’s begin.

Jon and Tyrion’s conversations had to be some of my favourite scenes from this episode. That shared smile between them when Jon first lands on Dragonstone and they greet each other was so pure. There is potential for a great friendship between them. They both have an understanding for each other that they don’t share with anyone else. Jon as a bastard and Tyrion as a dwarf. This was evident in earlier seasons too, but more so now that they have both found their places in the world. They respect each other, but they’re fighting for very different causes (and for different reasons) and I wonder if this fledgling friendship will become a point of contention for them later in the story.

Anyway, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t say that one of my favourite scenes had to be Tyrion and Jon’s conversation about Sansa. What I loved about this scene was although it was fleeting, it still gave us Jonsa feels (if you’re inclined to read the scene this way anyhow).

When Tyrion says, “does she miss me terribly?” Jon is very quiet and they let that silence play on long enough for it to be a significant marker in a conversation. Jon didn’t want to talk about it. It wasn’t an awkward silence; it was absolutely an annoyed, aggravated silence. And then what’s great is that Tyrion immediately went on the defensive and says that the marriage was never consummated.

It’s a strange thing to say, especially when they were so friendly earlier. Wouldn’t it be safe to assume that if Jon had any suspicions that Tyrion had hurt/touched Sansa against her will that exchange would’ve gone very differently? There was clearly no need to mention it at all, but yet Tyrion did and Jon’s response was “I didn’t ask” in a clearly annoyed tone that suggested if this topic didn’t end soon someone was going to get choked out. Either Jon really hates the thought of Sansa with another man he turned into grumpy kitten Jon or he doesn’t want to think about his sister having sex at all. But bear with me here, if it’s the latter, why have this dialogue at all? There’s no narrative reasoning for this whatsoever unless Jonsa is a real possibility in the future and we’re supposed to continue to think about Jon, Sansa and ‘sex’ in the same line of thought.

Okay, okay, admittedly my shipping goggles are on, but I still maintain the fact that it’s a weird piece of dialogue to have. If all they wanted to do was establish Sansa as a real political player, they could’ve cut that entire 2-3 lines out and just went straight into:

“She’s smarter than she lets on.”

“She’s starting to let on.”

And now that we’re onto the topic, I absolutely believe the mention of Sansa’s intelligence here serves two purposes. The first is to establish Sansa as a real political player here. She’s been underestimated by everyone in Westeros, but she’s far smarter than anyone gives her credit for (yes, even Jon).

In fact, jumping straight to Winterfell, you are given a whole scene of Sansa demonstrating that intelligence – not only in keeping everyone fed, but in keeping the soldiers protected. She understands what it takes to rule. But what I love about this sequence of scenes is Littlefinger praising her then going on to claim to know Cersei better than everyone and Sansa just shutting him down, saying she knows her better. Once again, we’re being forced to consider all that Sansa’s learned from Cersei. She just didn’t learn how to play the game but she learned Cersei herself. If anyone can outplay Cersei, we’re being led to believe it’s Sansa.

Why I think this is important is how this episode also demonstrated that Cersei is once again one of the smartest and most devious rulers in Westeros. She completely outmaneuvered Tyrion, Daenerys and Olenna. People think her ‘madness’ from losing her children will make her weaker, but she’s still as shrewd as ever. She is very much Tywin’s daughter, but she’s much more ruthless. Tyrion may be smart, but thus far? He’s not as smart as his sister.

But who is?

Well, there’s a ‘queen’ in the North who is, and the more I think about it, the more I think this quote is actually referring to Sansa:

“Aye. Queen you shall be… until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear.”

Because Cersei is right. Dany is a revolutionary, not a ruler. She can conquer and free slaves, but she doesn’t know how to rule. She’s not nearly as intelligent as Cersei in playing the Westerosi game, but Sansa is. She’s learned from the very best after all. Whether I’m wrong or right, I am convinced Sansa’s role in this war will be far greater than just ruling Winterfell in Jon’s stead.

Its second purpose is basically to reaffirm Jon’s faith and trust in Sansa and her judgement. But what I found interesting is the way he says it is almost in an exasperated way, like he knows she is and she continues to “twist him in a way no one else can” because she’s too smart for her own good. But alas, the shipping goggles are on, so take that what you will.

Now onto the big anticipated meeting. Honestly, I enjoyed Jon and Dany’s interactions. The juxtaposition of them as individuals and rulers were pronounced in the last episode, but they were even more glaringly so in this one. While Dany continues to talk about her rightful place and her indignation that he refuses to acknowledge what is hers, Jon continues to fight for his people and the war up North. I mean that’s just the thing, isn’t it? Every mention of Dany being this benevolent ruler who cares about the people doesn’t actually come from Dany. She doesn’t actually say she wants to save the people of Westeros. It’s always someone else because maybe, just maybe it’s not really her true purpose here in Westeros. Yes, I don’t believe she would be indifferent to the loss of innocent lives, but if it was the only way to get her to that throne, wouldn’t you think she’d do it? Wouldn’t Dany say ‘to hell with all of it’ and fly her dragons and burn everything in sight for that throne? If it was her only option, she would choose herself over the people.

Hell, she even says it. After her speech about all she’s overcome, she says the only way she’s endured any of that was because of her faith in herself. While it’s a good speech if you take out the context, Dany’s survived and persevered this long because of her unwavering belief in her birthright, which was to rule on the Iron Throne. Everything else comes second to that. And I refuse to believe that the ultimate hero of the story is someone who believes themselves a hero and entitled to a kingdom.

Whereas Jon was thrust into his position. He would choose the people over himself and that difference was emphasised by this quote they just had to repeat twice:

“…took a knife in the heart for his people.”

Also, the fact that Jon cut Davos off before he could blab about Jon’s resurrection and Dany’s fixation on this feels highly foreboding. It’s definitely going to come back up, but in what way, I don’t know.

Objectively speaking, I could see how Jon3rys could be hinted in this episode, as Jon and Dany come to understand each other, but personally, I believe it’s a tentative alliance at best that borders on an impasse rather than actual understanding. Right now, they can work because Dany has bigger fish to fry and Jon needs dragonglass. But when their objectives clash? What then? You could even see this opposition highlighted in the way they were filmed on that cliff. They’re standing together yet they’re facing opposite directions. They spend far more of that scene looking away from one another than looking eye to eye. Having their first one-on-one interaction being filmed in the light is also quite telling. The sun can be a symbolic source of goodness, but it can also be an oppressive force. Actually, it made me think of this quote from Albert Camus’ The Stranger:

“The sky was already filled with light. The sun was beginning to bear down on the earth and it was getting hotter by the minute. I don’t know why we waited so long before getting under way. I was hot in my dark clothes […] it was inhuman and oppressive.“

Jon is a man of the North. His season is winter. I’ve said in previous metas that having Jon’s resurrection coincide with Winter’s arrival was symbolilc. Where usually in literature winter represents a time of stagnancy or even regression in the hero myth, for Jon, it represents rebirth and growth. Winter is a time for Starks. Having such sunlight bearing down on them in this scene (looking more like summer than winter) and Jon still wearing his furs seems to forewarn perhaps bad consequences with this alliance.

For my Jonsa shippers, this is the exact opposite in how Jon and Sansa’s scenes are shot. They’re almost always in dimly lit areas or surrounded by candlelight, and snow is usually falling. Their reunion also coincided with Winter’s coming, so don’t despair if you are over Jon3rys meeting.

Speaking of how scenes are shot, Sansa and Bran’s reunion couldn’t be more of a stark (ha ha) difference to Jon and Sansa’s. Yes, he was never going to run towards her, but she didn’t nuzzle him. I’ve always said the choice of having Sansa nuzzle Jon’s cheek was a bizarre one. It’s just odd. People don’t nuzzle their family members. But maybe she wasn’t in the nuzzling mood, fine. Go to the godswood scene though and there just seems to be such a distance between Sansa and Bran. I think that’s partially Bran being the Three-Eyed Raven as well because the distance was also entirely about who he is now as well.

Anyway, Clearly in the books Bran’s importance and power is more obvious, so they had to demonstrate somehow that Bran as the Three-Eyed Raven can see everything. But why does he bring up Sansa’s wedding? If they wanted to show off his power, they could have him bring anything else up, so why her wedding? Why bring up Ramsay at all? Shouldn’t Bran know better than that? Especially to tell her she looks beautiful that day after already implicitly saying he knows what Ramsay did to her. It feels unnecessarily cruel for Bran who, while seemingly distant, does love her. It has to serve a purpose for them to write that in. Perhaps foreshadowing a future wedding in the cards for Sansa? Perhaps a fake one to LF? Or maybe something further down the line where it’ll be the opposite of everything she had with Ramsay. No godswood, no beautiful white dress, no snow falling, but with someone she loves and who loves her. I don’t know but I’m just speculating here.

Moving on to my favourite scene in the episode though: Cersei with Elaria. Honestly, Lena Heady is a phenomenal actress. Everyone is so focused on Cersei being this horrible evil villain, but you forget the real nuances to her character. When she asks Elaria why she killed Myrcella, it was delivered in such a vulnerable tone. You really, truly get a glimpse of the heartbroken, grieving mother who just tried to do her best for her children (whether that best was actually good or not), but then immediately after, you get the vindictive, cunning and formidable Cersei as she kisses Elaria’s daughter. It was amazing. Horrible but amazing.

Second favourite scene had to be Olenna’s. What is there to say? She is the Dowager Queen of Badass Bitchery and Snarky Comebacks. Give me a great, complex female villain any day! I wouldn’t even call Olenna a villain tbh. But what I mean is I would 150% take morally grey or morally corrupt female characters over your atypical one-dimensional girl-next-door ones any day, week or month.

Stray thoughts that I don’t have time/energy to write about:

Did anyone else get flirty vibes between Tyrion and Dany?

And does anyone think Jorah’s “perhaps our paths will cross again” sound entirely too foreboding for Sam?

anonymous asked:

Do you think sasuke loved sakura?

This will get a little complicated.

If you’re asking ‘was sasuke in love with sakura’ in the romantically smitten sense of the term, then my short answer is: No, he was not. The longer answer would be: it’s complicated, but not hard to see or understand.

One thing that is important to remember is that Sasuke as a character has some of the most complicated relationships in the entire series; this was what gave us the giant plot twist that was Itachi, this was what gave us his intense relationship with his dad, and that was what made his feelings towards naruto come off a lot more complicated than that of naruto’s towards him. Let’s break this down.

Did Sasuke love Sakura? Yes, Sakura was, and still is, in fact one of Sasukes most precious bonds. He cared about her a great deal; so much so that he was willing to kill in the forest of death, going against his morals, as well as die for her to escape in the Gaara fight which would have meant he’d have to kiss his revenge (what he views to be the sole reason for his existence) goodbye. There are various scenes where sasuke shows how far his feelings towards Sakura (and team 7 in general) run. To list a few:

But he was not in love with her?

No. Sasuke had far more heavy things weighing on his mind to sit down and dissect the nature of his feelings towards team7, and hell, later on had hate clouding his every move. The first time he did do that was in chapter 698 when he was free of his hatred and given a chance to think clearly and put some dots together. But when his character arc includes and focuses on things such as

It really becomes no wonder that Sasuke just did not allow himself to indulge in a ‘fantasy’ that includes him being happy and healing with team 7

It wasn’t that sasuke didn’t have feelings for team 7. He himself was aware of the bonds they share and how much they affected him, and he himself was aware of the romantic context of the relationship between him and Sakura. It was more like him taking those feelings and pushing them aside as to not dwell on them.

sasuke @ feelings

bc feelings made him go like this

Given a different circumstance however i have 0 doubt in my mind that sasuke would have fallen for sakura quite quickly. Why am I sure? To answer that question we will have to ask a different question.

What was the context of their relationship?

Hella romantic.

The scenes they share are mostly romantic in nature. Sakura was always the only girl that could get a reaction out of sasuke by doing something lovey dovey, he always had a softer spot for her and treated her marginally better than he did most people

My favorite is definitely the one where sasuke winked, it gives a little glimpse of what they must be like married

just scenes like this showing them having chemistry and wanting to be around each other make me 100% sure sasuke would have had a huge crush on her given different luck in life

but noOoo, you CanT cATch mE fEElingS

So, when was he ready to ~play at romance~?

The first time he really wanted to regain her as a part of his life was when he apologized, i’d say that was a moment when he realized how much he wanted to do in order to keep the people who mattered to him close. We aren’t really given much about the blank period but i’m assuming they were rekindling the bonds they shared and that was when sasuke wanted to give romance a shot, after he felt redeemed enough to indulge in such aspects of life, and after he understood the world without burdens clouding his eyes. This is a very mature move in my opinion, they both deserve a happiness they can both fully enjoy without personal issues weighing heavy on them. Hence the famous ‘i’ll see you when i’m back’ forehead poke. It’s intimate and romantic enough to signify something will happen in the future, but it’s not a make out session since it’s not quite right now. It’s honestly very sasuke.

He’s in love now, but when did he fall in love?

Definitely when they traveled but it’s up to your own hc to imagine how it happened. I’d say during their travels the chemistry they once shared flows with a lot more ease; they talk a lot more, impress each other with their strengths, share things about each other, have moments with each other that allow sasuke to experience what romantic love and being smitten with someone feels like and boom, he’s like ‘I think I want to marry this girl?’

Keeping with the The Office theme i’d say it was a moment like this when he realized yeah let’s get married you make me very happy

because c’mon let’s be real, they’re a pair of dorks.

Sex scenes aren’t the most comfortable scenes to shoot.

Sex scenes are even more uncomfortable when you’re shooting in front of the guy’s wife, who just happens to be visiting and has been given permission to be on the closed set.

Sex scenes are even more uncomfortable when you’re trying to get over the attraction you’ve developed to said married guy.

And sex scenes are incredibly uncomfortable when the married guy who you’re simulating sex with gets an erection. In front of the visiting wife.

What do you do with Too Many Ideas Syndrome?

At first you embrace it: “I’ll never stop writing ‘cause I’ll never run out of ideas! This is awesome!!!!” And then you realize that with so many ideas, you’re going to have to pick one to run with and then it’s like uh…yeah…

Too Many Ideas

This question has given me the opportunity to bring back the cute bunny post from 2015. In it I discuss how you bounce back and forth between ideas, so take a look. It might help!

In that post I mention that it’s really a matter of going with whatever idea is most interesting to you at any given time. This could change from day to day, so one day you might work with one idea and the next you work with another. This is really basic advice, so I’m going to try to take it one step further.

Start with Your Characters

If you’re overwhelmed by how many concept/plot ideas you’ve got, make a list of each concrete idea and set it aside. Then, work on character development. Start with one key character and then work outward.

You might be wondering, how do I create characters without any kind of plot, but writers do actually do this. We’ve got questions in our inbox right now from writers that have developed characters and are stumped on the plot. So it’s definitely possible.

This key character you’re starting with? Begin by establishing aspects of them that are separate from plot, things like age, gender ID, racial/ethnic background, sexual ID, and obviously their name. Go as far as you feel compelled to go, but start with these basic facts.

Then, think about their relationships/friendships. Do they have lifelong friends they knew as children? Do they have siblings they’re close with? A parent they bond well with? Think about those they’re friendly with, and then do the same thing you did when you started with your key character - their age, gender ID, ect. ect.

Next, think about potential future relationships. These don’t have to be romantic relationships. If your key character is an artsy type, maybe you envision them clashing with someone who operates with logic and reason, and then seeing how they become friends or enemies over it. This leads you to create yet another character.

What you’re doing here is developing character dynamics. You’re thinking about who these characters are first, before you even begin to consider what will happen to them. Having a cast of characters in place before you plot anything out can immediately draw you in. As I’ve said before, this is one reason we write fanfiction. We’re attached to the established characters and we want to imagine them in new situations.

The Character Quick-Change

Grab the list you made earlier of all your plot ideas and concepts. Start casting them in roles in the ideas you’ve already come up and see how they fit. One of your ideas might be set in a fictional, fantasy world with fairies, werewolves, dragons, while another idea might be an urban fantasy where they are no magical creatures but there is magic. And maybe another idea has no magic at all. So as you plug your characters into each vastly different idea, the two start to mold each other. Your characters drive the plot, and the plot you chose will help you add deeper levels to your existing characters.

If something doesn’t feel right, move onto the next idea. Imagine your characters are standing on a stage, and you’re simply switching out the scenery and the costumes. You’re giving them opportunities to play different roles, but you’re allowing them to bring their own personalities and backgrounds to each role they take on.

Eventually you should find something that just fits. And when that happens, you keep going with it. You might run into problems as you’re writing, and you might be tempted to move onto another idea, and that’s okay! Go with your instincts and see what happens. Discipline with an idea is hard to maintain, so don’t feel guilty about it. It’s something all writers struggle with.

When it comes to frustration during the writing process, the trouble is differentiating between your idea just being dead and the typical writing problems that you’ll see with any idea. But I think that’s a whole other topic that maybe I’ll get into at a later date ;)

Writing = experimentation. Try things out and see what’s working and what isn’t. You’ll know an idea is worth exploring when it happens, because your excitement and enthusiasm will soar.

And as an afterthought, here’s another post that might be useful to you: Focusing on One Project.

“–so we need you, oh chosen one, to come and save us,” Gregory finishes. He’s still looking at the corner of the room where you’ve hung a wisteria and hasn’t made eye contact since giving you his name. He never asked for yours.

You feel distinctly uncomfortable, sitting on the couch with your hands folded neatly in your lap. You’re still in your work clothes, black pants and t-shirt the hair salon requires, and you’ve counted at least three different types of hair on you since Gregory’s explanation began. Compared to Gregory’s armor, jaunty hat, and formal footwear, you are very underdressed.

“Um,” you say, “no.”

Gregory rises and sighs heavily. “Oh, thank you, chosen one, we are forev–” He breaks off, eyes finally dropping to meet yours. You see that his eyes aren’t light green like you thought. They’re yellow. “No?”

Yeah,” you say and try to brush the grey, three-inch long hair from your left knee. Ms. Simpson’s, you think. She’d gotten a healthy trim. “No.”

“Is it because you’re not magic?” Gregory asks, looking down his hooked nose at you. “Because I thought I did a good job explaining that, in my world, you are magic and–”

“It’s because that sounds hella dangerous,” you say. You shrug sheepishly. “I’m not really looking for a fast way to die so…” You shrug again.

“I told you that that’s what I’m for,” Gregory says irritably. “I’ll protect you from Lord Deigh’s henchman as you search for the lost heir. I’m your guard.”

You squint at him. “It doesn’t seem like you particularly want to be my guard, dude.”

Gregory, tellingly, says nothing.

Note: this took way longer than it should have aka a week, at least. also, I’m not too familiar with how physical therapy goes or losing a limb, so I hope this is alright! thank you for the request, darling. I hope you like it. feedback is always welcome, I love reading your comments! .c

Request: Could you do a bucky x reader where the reader recently lost one of her limbs on a mission and he sees that she isn’t coping well, Tony and Bruce make her an artificial limb, and Bucky ends up falling for the reader as he helps her adjust to her new life. Just some fluff and angst please and thank you if you do. - @kazekagegirl

“All clear!” Steve called out to you and Bucky. You and the two super soldiers were sent on a mission to gather intel and do a sweep. The sweep was easy, there weren’t too many guards since it was a small base, but the hard part was finding the damned information you needed. With a heavy sigh, you trailed beside Bucky and met with Steve in a dark room.

You stepped in and looked around, seeing an empty room.“I’ve never seen so much information in my life.” You sarcastically muttered, earning a breathy laugh from Bucky. Steve, however, thought it was unfit for this situation.

“Just look for a hidden passage. Those are becoming more common with Hydra.” Steve said, trailing his hand along the wall. He listened carefully and Bucky started searching on the opposite wall, but used his metal hand so he could feel any sort of vibrations.

You sighed and made your way along another wall. Coming closer to the corner of the wall, your finger slid across a small slit. You tugged on it with the pads of your fingers, hearing the granite rub against each other.

“Cap!” You called over your shoulder, pulling the passage door open. The super soldiers sighed in relief as you had the door pulled all the way open now. It was dark inside and you could hear faint beeping. And so could Bucky and Steve.

“Y/N, don’t-” Before Bucky could finish his sentence, you stepped forward and felt something under your boot. Your eyebrows creased and you moved away, only regretting it when the beeping got louder and faster.

“Shit! Y/N, move!” Bucky ran over to grab you but the bomb exploded, shooting you and the soldiers across the room and destroying the entire space. The ceiling and the walls started to crumble down and all you could hear was ringing in your ears. Above anything else, your left leg was in excruciating pain.

You tried to open your eyes, but they wouldn’t open. You tried to speak but you couldn’t find your voice. Slowly, everything turned black and your thoughts were silenced.

“Why isn’t she awake yet?”

The voice was far away it seemed, muffled by your hazy mind. Everything felt weird, your eyes wouldn’t even open as you started to wake up. A faint ringing sounded through your ears, or was it beeping? You heard shuffling feet moving to your right.

“Her body is tired. Be patient.”

Bruce. His voice got clearer as the fog left your mind. The beeping was a heart monitor, a steady rhythm of your heartbeat. You could feel the heaviness in your head much more as you came to your senses. Your whole body hurt and you couldn’t feel your left leg. It was numb, almost like it wasn’t even there.

Your eyes fluttered a little, the light above was bright and you wished someone would just turn it off. “You’re going to have to tell her what happened.” Bruce said softly to the other person.

A sigh left their lips and you opened your eyes, turning your head to look at them. Bucky was beside Bruce. He was in pajamas. When did he change out of his suit? How long had you been asleep? And what did Bucky have to tell you?

“T-tell me what?” You asked, wincing at the dryness in your throat. It felt like you hadn’t spoken in years. The two men turned around quickly, relief shot through them and they rushed over to you.

"Y/N! You’re awake!” Bucky smiled though his eyes were starting to water as he looked at you. You looked exhausted and dare he say lifeless. He and Steve kept checking on you any moment they could when Bruce wasn’t giving you check-up’s. They made it out with minimal injuries so they were released the same day you all got back.

Bucky’s hand rest on your cheek, his thumb gently caressing it. “How do you feel?” He asked when you didn’t say anything in return. You swallowed and moved to sit up, only to have Bucky’s metal hand carefully push your shoulder down. "What happened to me?” You looked between Bucky and Bruce.

Nervousness crossed their features and it made your stomach drop. Licking your dry lips, you became aware of the numbness in your left leg again. "Y/N, do you remember what happened?” Bruce asked, taking off his glasses and hooking them on his lab coat pocket.

Your eyebrows creased as you searched through your brain. You remembered being on a mission with Steve and Bucky. Something went wrong. “The mission. Where is Steve?” You whispered, looking at Bucky. You analyzed him, noticing a bandage on his right forearm. A small cut was healing on his cheek and he looked worn out.

Bucky’s throat bobbed as he tried to speak, but words like the ones he needed to say were choking him up. Bruce picked up the hint and spoke to you instead. “Steve is alright, Y/N. His and Bucky’s injuries were… They were minimal. But yours-” Bruce cleared his throat and Bucky looked away, his hair framing the side of his face so you couldn’t see him. Your heart started to race, the sound carrying through from the monitor. Bucky quickly grabbed your hand and brushed your knuckles; he was trying to comfort you.

Impatience was bubbling in your stomach. "Well?” You asked timidly, damn near afraid to hear the answer. Bruce rubbed his chin and looked into your eyes. “Your left leg was.. It’s…gone.” He whispered. If your eyes could fall out of their sockets, they would have. The numbness you felt wasn’t numbness. It was absence.

Your eyes filled with tears as you made sense of what Bruce just told you. "What do you mean gone?” You shook your head as your breathing picked up. Bucky squeezed your hand when you tried to move the blankets off of you. “Y/N, the explosion,” Bucky rasped, “You need to be ready to see it. Bruce stitched you up but it’s only been two days.” His lip quivered and you covered your face with your hands, sobbing uncontrollably now.

You lost your leg. How were you going to fight now? How would you adjust to a totally different life, just like that?

Bruce let you and Bucky have a moment alone. He gave Bucky a saddened look and turned to leave the medic lab. "I’m so sorry.” Bucky leaned down to hold you in his arms - one real, one metal. His heart ached for you; he knew what you felt right now, and he’d make sure he’d be here to help you through every second of it.

It’s been three weeks since you were released from the med bay. Tony had made you an artificial leg made from the same material as Bucky’s arm was made of. It has been an emotional roller coaster for you, that’s for sure. You wouldn’t even look at your left leg - or what’s left of it - for a few days.

When you got too tired for physical therapy, Bucky would bring you your crutches for you to walk on, and he would help you with exercises. He’s always arms length away from you. You enjoyed the time spent together. It formed an even tighter bond between the both of you, much stronger than before your accident.

"Y/N?” Your head snapped up and cleared of your thoughts as you watched Bucky walk over with a glass of water. He smiled softly and sat beside you, careful not to jostle your leg as he moved. “You looked a little lost there.” He commented, a ghost of worry in his eyes.

You smiled at him, taking the glass from his hand. You sipped at it slowly and hummed. "Just thinking is all.” Bucky nodded and looked down at your leg that was propped up on a cushion on the table. He thought you looked pretty badass with the metal leg. And a little sexier.

In another way, he absolutely adored it. It made him feel like he had someone to connect with. Even before you had this accident, he felt a connection with you. But now, helping you and seeing you push yourself and even grab onto him for support, it sparked a flame within his heart.

"Bucky,” Your hand waved in front of his eyes after you set your now empty glass down on the carpet. He hummed, raising his eyebrows. “You were spacing this time.” You laughed softly, watching his cheeks heat up just a little.

“S-sorry. Um, are you ready?” He stood to his feet and looked down at you. Another half hour of walking around and holding onto Bucky’s hand was now in motion. "Ready as I’ll ever be.” You grunted as you sat up, reaching for Bucky’s hand.

He bent down and picked most of your weight up so you could stand on both of your feet – one real, one made of metal. It was starting to feel a little more comfortable. Tony made it so it’s about the same weight as your right leg, so you weren’t pulling a huge piece of metal around. Rather it felt smooth, like you could cross it over your opposite knee normally. But it’s also strong enough to use during missions when you’ve healed completely.

Bucky walked beside you, keeping his metal hand on the small of your back and his right one underneath yours. You huffed as you walked, still a little wobbly. Before you left the common room, you stopped.

“Are you okay?” Bucky asked with concern, his hand squeezing yours. You nodded shyly. “I want- can I hold your metal hand?” You asked quietly. If Bucky wasn’t in love with you before, he definitely was now. His heart skipped in his chest and he smiled widely. “Yeah! Y-yeah, of course-yeah.” He switched sides and now let his left hand rest underneath yours, his right hand holding the small of your back.

You smiled, feeling yourself become bashful. You just couldn’t help it. You wanted him to feel how he made you feel. Like having a missing body part, replaced with something that lacked blood flow and feeling, was okay. Bucky walked with you down hallways, into different rooms, keeping his patience with you when you needed to stop for a break.

"That’s good, Doll.” Bucky praised you as you slowed to a stop to rest for a moment. You smiled a little and Bucky turned to faced you. He looked down at your leg and hummed. “What if you try to walk on your own now? Just a few steps.” He offered, rubbing his hand along your arm soothingly as you gripped onto them for support.

You were getting better and this had started to feel easy enough. A little challenge would be fine, you thought to yourself. "Yeah, I’ll try it. You’ll be close, right?” You kept your eyes on Bucky’s chest, too scared to meet his eyes. He smiled and blushed lightly at your question. The thought of you wanting him close was endearing to him.

"I won’t leave.” He promised, slowly backing away from you. Bucky’s hand slipped from your grasp and you let out a shaky breath as you stood on your own. He stood a few steps away from you, ready to catch you if you started to fall. You can do this, it’s just a few steps.

Bucky took notice of your hesitation as he held his hand out for you to grab once you’ve made it to him. He waited patiently for you to move. Taking a steady breath, you began to walk. “Hold your hands out by your sides for more balance control, Y/N.” You did as Bucky said and started with your right foot. Your left foot followed, only a little more wobbly.

"That’s it, Doll.” Bucky’s smile was small but it grew bigger as you took another step. Your weight wasn’t as supported before, but you knew you’d have to walk without Bucky by your side eventually. "You’re almost here.” Bucky breathed, noticing your thigh beginning to shake.

Keeping your balance and your mind focused on the last two steps, you reached out for Bucky’s hand. You finally slipped yours into his as you stood in front of him. You laughed softly and felt your eyes fill with tears. "I did it, Bucky!” You felt happy and proud of yourself for accomplishing your goal. Bucky held you closer and pressed his lips to your forehead.

"That’s my girl.”

You woke up in a sweat, the throbbing pain in your leg had pulled you out of your sleep. It was becoming unbearable and you just wanted to scream. Turning to the clock on your bedside table, you checked the time. 5:23am. You groaned both out of pain and exhaustion.

Sleeping wasn’t too bad, but the pain you were starting to feel was just too much. You slipped out of bed and took deep breaths, grabbing your crutches so you could go see Bruce.

The tower was silent, but Bruce was always awake this early. You just hoped he would know how to help.

“Phantom pains.” He muttered, writing down some information on a clipboard. Your eyebrows creased as you sat on the table. “What?” You whispered, still trying to speak through the odd sensation of still having the rest of your leg there. Bruce sighed and before he could continue, Bucky walked into the lab.

He rushed over to you, not even acknowledging Bruce. “Are you alright? I wanted to check on you, but you weren’t in bed.” He was worried, holding both your cheeks in his palms. He noticed the discomfort in your features. “Phantom pains.” Bruce repeated. Bucky knew this all too well.

Bucky nodded in understanding and rubbed your back. “I recommend massages and I can give you simple anesthetic injections to ease the pain. It’s mostly psychological, so you’ll mentally have to overcome this.” Bruce explained while searching through his cabinet for an injection to give you.

You sighed and leaned your head on Bucky’s shoulder. He kissed your head and you looked away as Bruce flicked the end of the needle. “You ready?” You nodded and bit your lip as your brain now re-focused on the pain you were feeling. It was odd, feeling pain when you didn’t even have that part of you anymore.

Bruce injected you with the medicine and you breathed out, squeezing your eyes until he was finished. “For now, you can put a heating pad on top of it. It’s fine with the metal. It’ll aid in the pain while the medicine works its way into your system.” Bruce smiled softly at you, handing you a heating pad, and you quietly thanked him.

Bucky picked you up and you held your crutches to your chest along with the heating pad, allowing Bucky to carry you to your room.

Once there, Bucky helped you situate yourself in your bed, plugging in the heating pad, and gently placing it over where skin met metal. “You didn’t have to carry me.” You pointed out, causing Bucky to look up at you. “I know those pains all too well. You wouldn’t have made it back yourself this time.” Bucky mumbled, his eyes drooping a tad.

“Get some rest, Bucky.” You yawned, feeling better already. With a kiss to your forehead, Bucky left you to sleep.

After waking up again that morning, the day consisted of more physical therapy, another phantom pain injection, and Bucky helping you in any way he could. Night had fallen and you were feeling emotional as you stared at yourself in your full length mirror that hung from your closet door.

There were scar abrasions rising above the metal on your skin. You suddenly felt abnormal, insecure, and the tears you tried to hold back for the past five minutes were nearly filling over.

There was no way anyone would want to be with you when you looked like this. A small, broken and pained sob broke through your mouth. Just then, a soft knock sounded on your bedroom door.

"Go away!” You choked through your sobs, taking a seat on your bed. The knocking stopped and you hoped you hadn’t upset whoever it was. But you just didn’t want anyone to see you right now. Instead of the person leaving, they opened your door slowly.

“It’s me, Doll.” Bucky whispered, his eyes found you on your bed, in a t-shirt you stole from him at least a year ago. It was his favorite shirt, but it was yours now, there’s no way he’d take it from you – not after seeing you in it. He shut your door behind him and walked over to your bed, sitting down beside you. “Y/N?” His hand lifted your chin and your lip quivered. Tears stained your cheeks and he gasped quietly.

"Hey hey, what’s the matter?” His thumb wiped at your cheeks and you shook your head, another sob falling from your lips. Bucky was starting to worry now. Seeing you like was making his heart clench in his chest. “Doll, you gotta talk to me. Please.” He begged, making you meet his worried blue eyes. You controlled your crying and took deep breaths before you wiped at your nose.

“Bucky, I hate it.” His eyebrows creased and he instantly looked down at your leg. Surely you couldn’t mean that. His thoughts were correct when you looked down as well. Bucky sighed and he knew exactly what you were feeling. He stood up and moved towards your bedside table and grabbed the soothing cream Bruce had given you.

It helped with healing the skin a bit more where the metal rest against it. Bucky bent down onto his knees and you shied away from him. His hands reached for your leg and you whimpered, pushing his hand away. “Don’t touch it.” You whispered, trying to scoot away from him, to put distance between him and your leg.

Bucky’s eyes watered and he sat back on his haunches, trying to find the right words to say. “Y/N, I had the hardest time accepting my… arm. I knew what I did with it, how many terrible things it’s capable of, how many…people..I’ve-” His words got lost in the lump in his throat.

You bit your lip to keep from crying again. “Y/N, this doesn’t make you any less beautiful than before; any less stronger.” He spoke softly and he reached for your leg again. "I’m sorry.” You sniffled, letting him rub some cream where metal met skin. His fingers were slightly trembling and he glanced up at you.

“I’ll help you through this, Doll. If I can accept mine, you can accept yours.” You nodded and swallowed thickly, watching as he rubbed your leg, allowing the medicine to settle in before setting the tube aside. "I’m glad you’re here for me, Bucky.” Your hand reached out to his hair, trailing your fingers through it and you rubbed your thumb along his cheek. Bucky looked up at you and he was speechless.

Your touch sent shivers down his spine. He leaned forward and was closer to your face now, his torso rest against your knees. He let his forehead rest on yours and you held both of his cheeks now. “I’m so sorry I didn’t protect you.” Bucky’s eyes closed and you shook your head gently.

"It was my fault for not paying attention. I’m just glad you, Steve, and I made it out alive. I’m just, I feel so…ugly with this. And I don’t mean to make you feel bad about yours, but…it’s just so difficult.” Bucky pulled away slightly and you felt his metal hand trail down your thigh, then you only felt a little vibration when he let his metal hand rest against the inside of your metal leg.

He bent down and placed his lips along your flesh, causing your heart to skip in your chest. His lips were gentle on your skin and you became more aware of the feelings you had for this man. He was strong and was able to overcome the most horrible past. You felt guilty for feeling like this about your leg, when his arm held so much more angst and heart wrenching pain.

"Bucky.” You breathed as you pulled him up gently and looked into his eyes. He looked at you as if you placed the stars in the sky, as if you were the only two people on earth. He glanced at your lips and you slowly leaned in. Bucky was a tad bit more impatient. He closed the distance between your lips and your eyes immediately closed. His felt even softer against yours and you felt him hum into the kiss. Your lips molded perfectly together.

Your hand rest against his metal shoulder and you pulled away, gasping for air. Bucky looked at you with such intensity, you had to look away or else you’d be a sobbing mess again. But instead of meeting your lips with his once more, you pulled the collar of his shirt down enough to place your lips against his scars.

He was breathing shakily as he nuzzled his face into your hair, wrapping his flesh arm around your body.

You two stayed wrapped in each others embrace that night, both of your legs wrapped in his, and both of his arms wrapped around you. One real, one made of metal.

Summary: Your breath hitched. No one had ever seen you without clothing before. “O-oh…” you said. “B-but…”

“Shh.” He tugged at your top, and another button popped open. “Go on. Do the next one.”

You weren’t sure what to expect or what to feel–the most you’d ever done was daydream about holding Kylo Ren’s hand. Never kissing. Never stripping. Never…

“Mm.” The corner of his lip quirked. “Keep going.”
