The 12-inch tall “paw!” figure from Coarse Toys is given a completely new ‘past life’ courtesy of the talented DeeTen, whose “Anubian Crusher, circa 1886” continues to explore his imaginary alternate timeline where clockwork and steampunk constructions continue to be unearthed. The simple black frame contrasted against the shiny metallic elements — made from actual metal and wood with some clay — is a spectacular sight and, whoever commissioned this fantastic one-off custom creation, must be thrilled to add it to their collection. If you’d like to commission a piece yourself from this rising star, you can contact the artist directly.

NEW POST:

DeeTen continues to pump out some really impressive custom pieces featuring his futuristic neo-victorian steampunk aesthetic, and with his most recent piece, he tackled a 8" tall Qee! Titled the “Autonomous Amplifier”, this piece was inspired by antique 1940’s wooden radios, steampunk aesthetics, art deco, and Kabuki Masks. It was made for a charity auction, so it is not available for open purchase, but we can still really admire the craftsmanship on this piece! http://dlvr.it/5BHm60

“Arctic Observer, circa 1886” completed! Has a pretty long story excerpt that I need to type up, but I’m happy with this piece. It’ll be posted up at my shop later tonight or tomorrow morning. #art #steampunk #deeten #kidrobot #kozik #labbit
