Hello medievalpoc, I want to thank you for the work you put into your posts. I am biracial and was raised in the US and Germany. I currently reside in the latter. Although I visited German school, I have to admit that also in the German school system I did not learn about Blacks being in Europe. Thank you for being an eye opener! — deelovespixels

Thanks!! Germany has an amazing and centuries-old artistic tradition of depicting Black saints, peasants, kings, and knights! Saint Maurice, after all, was the patron saint of the Holy Roman Empire, and various cathedrals in Germany (like the one in Magdeburg) have large collections of art and reliquaries associated with Saint Maurice.
