❄⛄🎶Christmas Music in Different Languages🎶⛄❄

Hello! So, I’ve researched some Christmas music in different languages. Some have a lot, like, too much so I narrowed it down, and some don’t have that much, but I found the best I could. Some are similar songs to what English speakers and Americans are used to such as “jingle bells” etc etc, while others are their own original seasonal songs. If it’s similar or the same song as traditional songs in English, I’ll put them in the parenthesis. So anyway, enjoy and happy holidays!

i. you were born back when people still believed in beginnings, in fresh starts and re-sets, and trying again, all  over. you are no quitter. you wouldn’t know how to quit love even if you tried; even if it was suffocating you and you were sure to die. no, you’re no quitter. (january)

ii. you are a child of melting snows. you are a child of the future. you do not live in the now, you do not settle, you do not make plans. one day you will love. when, all else is right. you are a child of melting snows, but darling, in life there are always fresh snows somewhere, spring is always not-quite there. (february)

iii. the earth smelled like frost when you were born. you have a razor-sharp mind and a quick tongue, but some people still get under your skin. and like frost under your mother’s feet, you crack, you melt, you become mist. (march)

iv. april showers bring may flowers. you are forever preparing the world for other people. your friends for their true best friend, your sister for your brother, your lover for the right one. you only love in interludes. (april)

v. god you are everything. the grass is never as green and the sky is never as high, and the breeze never as soft. you are perfection. but life does not deal in absolutes, and love is flawed. you will not find what you are looking for. (may)

vi. you are everyone's favourite afterthought. you are what tenderness feels like. darling, you are a field of dandelions swaying in the wind. you fix people. you let them build homes inside you. you make them whole. you are an afterthought. a rest-stop. it hurts in a place no map leads to. (june)
vii. when you were born the earth was scorched. you are a child of heat. you are a child of desert. you can do without love almost as long as you can do without water. and a little, a little goes a long way. it’s a good thing too, because baby, your pride makes loving you so damn hard. (july)

viii. quiet is how they describe you. they don’t know of the song you carry inside, of the screams unsettled in your lungs, of the poems and stories you have under your belt. you are the quiet one - the quiet revelation, the surprise, the coming out. the becoming. (august)

ix. melancholia. you are rain, you wash people clean. you are a builder, you help them rise. you are the wind, you help them fly. you are everyone’s best friend and no one's favourite lover. you disappear under the weight of good deeds. saints are revered, but not loved. it is difficult to be with someone on a pedestal. (september)

x. you are a shape-shifter. you do not know your face. you have been lost since you can remember. sometimes you are found at the bottom of a bottle, or in thick smoke coming out of his lungs. sometimes you are found. but not in love, no in the ashes of love. you are what endings look like. (october)

xi. the clouds were so low when you were born your sister thought she could reach them. overachievers. nothing is ever good enough. no one is ever enough. people are just a promise of what’s to come. how does it feel to live your life in the promiseland? (november)

xii. when you were born the sky was white. not light blue, not powder blue, but white. you are pure love. you are the one. but people are always looking to go back, to start over, to re-set. you are the one, but all it does - is make people realise they do not want to become. (december)

—  marina v., you are the month you were born in.

Current ZeXal status: On this day, April 2, 2017, one week after Arc V finished, six years and one day after I finished watching 5D’s.

After denying the value of this show for five years and claiming that the series wasn’t worth my time.

After shutting it down because “what the hell are these character designs?” and “IT’S TOO MUCH LIKE YGO DM” and “I wouldn’t like Yuma, so I’m not gonna bother.”

After refusing to give it a chance simply because of the Shin Yoshida name associated with it and the obnoxious part of the fandom going after anyone whose opinions didn’t align with theirs.

After being vaguely interested because of Astral, Shark, and Kaito but not willing to outright admit it.

After saying “I’ll watch it when I’m dead.”

After finally giving it a chance and putting it on my Plan to Watch list in December 2016 because “at least the plot’s coherent and Astral’s as much of a main protag as Yuma.”

After finally, FINALLY saying “fuck it” to all the negative crap I’ve heard from the obnoxious parts of both sides about this show and all the expectations I placed on it based on it. and going into it ignoring all of those opinions and expectations.

After realizing that it’s supposed to be the new generation version of YGO DM geared towards a younger audience and that’s why the two are similar.

After much laughter and smiling and crying with my now-adopted-as-my-card-game-anime-son and definitely one of my faves now, Tsukumo Yuma.

After finally understanding all those ZeXal memes I’ve seen on tumblr.

After much shouting and many tears shed over all my faves in the series (FUCKING LOOKING AT YOU ESPECIALLY, ASTRAL).

After nearly three months since I started this unexpectedly enjoyable, heartwarming, heartwrenching, depressing, yet fulfilling and liberating journey with Yuma, Astral, Kotori, Shark, Kaito, and the rest of the cast.

I have finally finished watching Yu-Gi-Oh! ZeXal

And honestly, it feels fantastic.

Chang Ge Xing Drama Update

It’s been a long wait, but we finally have some new info on the drama.

About a week ago, Huace Media has released its network drama series production plan for 2017, and lo and behold, Chang Ge Xing is on it *cue angel choir in the background*.

The list includes 31 network drama series that will go into production this year. FYI, “network drama” means that these series are produced specifically for online distribution instead of broadcasted on TV. Network drama has been becoming popular in recent years, and there’s no difference between network drama and regular ones except for its playing media.

Anyway, this list has Chang Ge Xing at number 29, putting it in the 4th quarter of the year. In other word, the filming should begin sometime in October to December 2017. The list also mentions the number of episodes planned, which is 60 episodes for Chang Ge Xing (give or take a few). This is a respectable number and is comparable to some of the biggest productions by Huace Media recently: The Princess Weiyoung (54 eps), General and I (62 eps), and Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (58 eps).

There’s still no news on the cast and staff yet, but we still have a few months left until the 4th quarter, so hopefully there’ll be more news by then. Other sources also says that Chang Ge Xing will be broadcasted in 2018, which makes sense with the current timeline. If this timeline remains unchanged in the future, we might actually have the drama ready before the manhua series ends.

Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi was included in the annual list of TC Candler’s 100 women with the most beautiful faces in the world for 2016 which was announced in a YouTube video yesterday, December 28, 2016. The list was based on the submissions all over the internet.

It’s the first time for Irene to be included in the list and who in which is placed 71st; while her fellow member Seulgi holds her position for the 2nd time around at number 29.

Congratulations, ladies! Special thanks to all the Red Velvet fans out there who participated on the submissions for the list.
