You were practically jumping up and down in the elevator because of how excited you were as the doors slid open. It’d been almost 6 months since you’d last seen Tony which was without a doubt the longest period of time you’d gone without seeing him in your life. Things had become chaotic in your life and his but the two of you still talked on a regular basis. You were his one sense of stability at this point in his life and he had proven time and time again that he would do anything to keep you safe.

what's your list of fav bellarke fan fiction????

im currently bitter bc i basically had this finished but tumblr decided to have a glitch and delete it all. anyway, here’s round 2

cause i got you, and now that’s all that matters by @marauders-groupie

lana is beautiful and so is this fic. i think my tag for it was just a bunch of exclamation points which basically means that i’ll be in love with it forever and never be able to properly use words when talking about it.

Clarke gets dirt stuck under her nails, Bellamy always keeps books at hand, they are both a mess but somewhere between throwing tomatoes at each other and hiding, they fall in love.

Or: Bellarke in the countryside.

Prompt: Imagine Bellarke in Modern AU. With Sunday brunches on the back porch and whispered I love yous when no one else is listening.

aphelion by @kindclaws

with the possibility of coming across as too much, let me just say that there are few people who have stolen my heart in the degree that Sara has. That being said, even if I didn’t love her to the moon and back, I would still be able to see beautiful talent, and that is definitely something that my dear friend has. So here’s the short summary of my latest obsession of hers:

It’s been two years since the spaceship Aphelion mysteriously disappeared, its crew branded by the ARK as traitors to be shot on sight. Jake Griffin was on that ship, and with him, a dangerous secret that could change civilized space forever.

Now, Clarke wants some answers - and revenge, if she can get it. Bellamy wants a bigger ship - specifically, Clarke’s. Wells wants to fix the system his father broke. Octavia wants a little fun. Miller wants everyone to stop making poor life choices. Harper wants to kiss the new girl. And Raven? Well, Raven just wants to blow shit up.

The universe won’t know what’s hit it. (Space pirates AU!)

Sent and Delivered by @clarkescrusade

Listen. I love social media aus, nerdy!Bellamy and thirsty!Clarke. Thankfully this fic has a little of all that. It also has adorable fanboy Jas and that’s also a plus for me. This one has stayed with me since the night i read it, so it’s def up there on my faves list.

Clarke is pretty sure Bellamy is the hottest lyft driver she’s ever had, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that he’s a pretty great conversationalist, too. When she finds out him and Raven used to work together, it feels natural to become friends. She just never thought they’d get along quite so well, or that their lives would come together so easily, or that she’d fall madly in love with him. But that’s life.

aka: a social media au incorporating text messages, snapchats, tweets, and instagrams that definitely no one asked for.

You’re Cool On The Internet, At Least by @prosciuttoe

Once again, SOCIAL MEDIA AU. They meet on facebook and yeah. this is hella cute. I love it. Also, anything Em writes is magic, so please read this and give her the love and adoration she deserves.

Look, Clarke will not dwell on this. She will not get flustered just because a possibly cute guy on Facebook apparently shares her views on what constitutes a terrible person.

Ten minutes later, her phone gives a short, irritated buzz; startling her enough that she jumps.

Biting at the inside of her cheek, she allows herself a quick peek.

Friend request from Bellamy Blake.

Clarke has no idea how she manages to develop a crush on a guy who won’t stop fighting everyone on Facebook, but here they are.

(Or: Clarke meets Bellamy on Facebook. They hit it off.)

neither lost nor found by awildthing

other than social media au, my weakness is modern magic users au. AND THIS IS BEAUTIFUL.

Bellamy Blake arrives on campus and Clarke’s magic suddenly starts going haywire.

Or, Clarke meets another magic user and teaches him to control his gift–and learns some things along the way.

I Don’t Want To Be Your Friend (i wanna kiss your neck) by @spacexualkids

i love tierney more than i love most people on this god forsaken site. her writing is always like coming home which is way too cheesy even for me. so here. read this summary so i dont become a blubbering mess.

She finds Bellamy back on that floral couch. They’d moved it into the screened room for the winter, and then back out again once the days grew long and warm. It was becoming another tradition, apparently.

And so was this; him smoking on the sofa, her head on his shoulder, voices low in the early morning while everyone else was asleep and the world felt like it belonged to them, just for the moment.

“Someone had fun,” he teases, flicking at a spot on her neck. Clarke reaches up to feel the tender skin; Glass must have given her a hickey while they were getting carried away.

She flushes, but he’s looking back at the sunrise. “I always have fun,” she reminds him, and he groans.

“Yeah, I remember.”

“This is my favorite part, though,” Clarke says, curling up a little more against him so he’ll put his arm around her for warmth. She’s still kind of drunk, so she’s not sure if she’s making sense, but she trusts that he’ll get it. Bellamy always seems to understand what she means. “Just–us. It’s my favorite.”

Bellamy stubs out his cigarette and leans back against her. “Mine too.”

That’s all I have time for tonight, but I do have a longer one in my drafts that I plan on finishing and publishing soon.

I will also use this to shamelessly self promo - I’m taking requests for the next two weeks bc HOLIDAYS! no more teaching for me for two weeks and that is glorious.

so pls send in any and all prompts you want filled by yours truly

A zimbits Fic

Check, Please! (In the restaurant sense. Not the hockey sense)

Pairing: Zimbits

Jack Zimmermann just wants to impress his boyfriend. Too bad he tried way too hard and Bitty doesn’t really know how to handle it. It’s a good thing milkshakes fix everything.

The restaurant is gorgeous. It’s absolutely breathtaking. It’s everything that Eric expected from a fancy restaurant, but Christ Almighty it’s the most expensive establishment Eric’s ever set foot in.

“Sweetpea, you didn’t tell me it was going to be this fancy! I would have worn something nicer!” Eric whispers to Jack as their waiter escorts them to their table. Their table that Jack reserved for them weeks in advance! Jack had literally been planning this date for months and Eric was so awed by his dedication that he didn’t bother to look up the restaurant beforehand. It’s obvious now that he should have.

“You look great, Bits, trust me. I think you’re dressed appropriately. They haven’t kicked us out yet, eh?.” Jack says and the corners of his lips turn up into just about the sweetest smile Eric’s ever seen. Eric would swoon if he didn’t know that Jack was only saying that because he was trying to be a good boyfriend. Eric compares his outfit, the same suit he’s worn to every formal event since he was eighteen, to Jack’s outfit, a sleek brand-new tailored suit that probably cost 10 times as much as Eric’s. There’s really no comparison, Eric is under-dressed.

Newcomers Pt3

“OH MY GOD!!!” private Hesty screamed as he held onto the toilet for dear life “AHHHHHHH”

Finally his anus widened enough to let the shit out and he breathed better and his body relaxed but he continued to make odd noises. “OH GOD I THINK I JUST GAVE BIRTH!!”

He eventually made his way out of the restrooms to the horrified expressions of the non human crew, he smiled and awkwardly walked down the corridor muttering to himself about never having that curry again. His train of mind was interrupted by a mass of Humans running towards him.

“What’s going on?” he asked

“The new transport from home is here”

His eyes widened and he joined them heading to the hanger.

Polt was there in his pristine uniform to greet this Sergeant Stabby that all the Human spoke highly off, from what he could tell this Sergant likes to go around stabbing people to which they find funny for some reason. The Humans gathered and the non humans did to out of curiosity. There was never a dull moment when you had a Human around and they had thousands.

The ship docked and the crew came aboard, having more Humans aboard was something Polt was not sure he wanted but at least these ones were only going to be here for a few days.

Then the weird stuff started, one of the Humans began sniffing, a lot which was followed by others. He had heared that Humans have a powerful sense of smell and whatever has caught their nose must be good for them. One moved towards the transport crew still sniffing making them smile.

“Is that what I think it is?” he asked them and the crewman opened a small container that let off steam as it opened. Then as one all the Humans screamed as one voice.

“PIZZA!!!!” and stampeded towards the crates opening them and devouring these pizzas as if they held the secret to eternal life.

Polt turned to ask Captain Clerk about it but found he too had descended on the crates, so intent they were on getting this new food that a few broken noses had occurred but as they usually did, they laughed and carried on.

Trying establish order among them was futile but once these pizza’s were getting handed out they quietened down.

“Sorry about that, it’s been a long time since we had pizza” Clerk said his mouth still full.

“Attention, stand to for Sergeant Stabby!” someone shouted and all the Humans fell into rank and file and awaited. Polt fixed his uniform and eagerly waited for this Sergeant.

But it wasn’t a military mad that approached, it was one of their mechanics carrying a small box.

“Umm…Sergeant Stabby?” Polt asked.

The mechanic shook his head and placed the box on the ground and this odd disc shaped thing with a fork taped to it came out. All the Humans quickly saluted this thing.

“Um, Catpain Clerk”

“Yes?”

“What is this?”

“This is Sergeant Stabby, a roomba with a fork tapped to it” he said as if it was the most normal thing in the universe and he said it with pride. The Benemar who were observing from above we equally confused as was probably everyone else.

“Sergeant Stabby, go about your duties” Captain Clerk ordered but the roomba made no noise or motion. After a few seconds Clerk leaned down nad flipped the ON switch and the roomba went off cleaning the floors.

“It’s a cleaning machine?!” Polt exclaimed.

“it’s a roomba” private Hesky corrected stepping out the way of it as it approached him.

“All this for that thing?!”

“Yeah, I was wondering why you are all dressed up” Clerk said walking off and soon enough the Humans all dispersed leaving everyone else confused.

Polt laid on his couch nursing a headache, these Humans were driving him insane and they had only been here for a few weeks. Some part of him thought it would be easier to just hand command over the Clerk and be done with it but alas he could not, then one more crisis occurred.

A knock at his door stirred him “If this is another complaint about the Humans you’ll have to deal with it yourself”

“No sir, we have receive a distress call”

“From where?”

“The Remer colony, they are under attack from the Gal”

“Divert course immediately”

Polt was on the bridge with the Benemar Chief and his clan leaders along with the Humans captain and officers. The Chief and Clerk glared at one another, they clearly did not like the other and Clerk stuck his tongue out as some kind of insult but the Chief did not understand it.

“Approaching Remer colony now” the helmsman said and the fleet broke into realspace to see the entire planet burning, its defences destroyed and it populace fighting for their lives.

Polt looked at the Gla fleet, it was huge more than twice the size of his and who knows how many of them were on the planet.

“Plan of attack sir?” Captain Clerk asked.

“Don’t think we can, the Gal are already planet side once that happens the chance of driving them off is almost zero” Polt says with a heavy heart.

“But there are still millions of people down there” Clerk argued.

“They’re not your kind why should you care” Chief said.

“So what? Admiral if the Benemar are unwilling to take the fight to them you have thousands of Human soldiers ready willing and able to do so”

“there are probably ten times your number down there”

“Then it makes it harder to miss”

Polt looked at them both, normally he would have ordered the retreat but the look it Clerks eyes made him think otherwise. Why were these Humans so concerned about the people? They were not Humans.

“Please my men are really bord”

“Yeah and I’m PMSing like a bitch in heat I need to vent”

Polt didn’t know what that meant but he understood their resolve.

“Do you really think you can retake the planet?”

“Just give the order” Clerk grinned.

“Very well, man your pods”

Clerk banged his chest with his hands and smiled along with his officers and left the bridge, the mustering hall where the Human soldiers were gather all eagerly awaited to hear what their orders were.

“Right lads!! We’re on so lets get this done and give those Gal a dam good kicking!! Who’s with me”

The Humans cheer shook the hull as they ran to their pods that would shoot them from the ships straight onto the planets surface, this means of deployment was considered insane but somehow the Humans keep doing it and surviving.

The Benemar not wanting to be shown up demanded to go to and boarded their shuttles.

The Liberation of Remer had begun.

The Liberation of Remer had begun.

Alec seeing Magnus’ cat eyes for the first time

“No, don’t.” Alec said. He raised his hands and gently put it on Magnus’. “Don’t do that.” Carefully he led Magnus’ hands away from his eyes and, still holding them, lowered both of their arms together. “Why not?” Magnus asked, his voice trembling. Magnus held on to Alec’s hands, not daring to let go of them because he knew if he did he would hide his eyes again. But clearly Alec wanted to look at them. So he let him, but the warlock wanted to avoid Alec’s stare of potential fear so bad that he couldn’t bring himself to look anywhere else than the ground. “Because you don’t have to. Please just… just look at me.” Alec answered, putting all the gentleness and reassurance he had in this one sentence to make Magnus believe he meant it and there was nothing for him to be ashamed of. He watched Magnus and knew from the look on his face that this was the least thing the warlock wanted to do in that moment. Magnus fought with himself, he knew it, but he also needed to look at him in order for Alec to tell him all the things he wanted to tell him. Then, after a few seconds, Magnus took a deep breath and did the bravest thing he ever did in all the years he lived. He raised his head to look at Alec.

He did it. His hideous warlock mark was exposed in front of one of the few Shadowhunters he ever truly loved. All the wards he built around himself, his soul, his heart, his eyes, removed by a single look at the boy. Magnus was sure he never looked as vulnerable as he did now, standing in the middle of his living room, just looking at the boy he loved so much, his hands shaking while still holding on to Alec’s. He was also never as afraid of someone’s reaction as he was now in this very moment, because thousands of people reacted in the same, humiliating, mortifying way. And he wasn’t sure if he could take another one from someone so close to his heart he didn’t want to ever lose.

Alec’s eyes widened as he fully saw Magnus’ amazing yellow-green cat eyes for the first time. He still held Magnus’ hands and felt them shaking in his. “You’re… they’re… I… I don’t… I’m… ” Alec stammered as he kept on staring at them. His mind just blacked out at the sight of Magnus’ warlock mark that he now stood there and was out of words. He knew he needed to say something, he wanted to say something, he wanted to talk to Magnus so badly and tell him so many things at once, but now he just couldn’t think of anything to say. Even Alec’s jaw now began to drop a tiny bit.

Magnus knew it would be that way. He knew it. Why did he even hope for some other reaction from a Shadowhunter than the usual one. Alec wasn’t as different from the others as he thought in the end. If he would just start talking instead of just standing there and staring at him, obviously shocked. If he would just show his fear, his disgust like everyone else did. Magnus couldn’t take the silence any longer. He felt his eyes start to tear up, the last thing he needed right now. He hated to cry in front of people. He bit his lip and hoped it would help, but it didn’t. “Please, Alec. Say something.” Magnus nearly whispered and only barely managed to not let his voice break. “Say anything, but just please stop this silence.”

“I’m trying Magnus, I really am.” Alec answered. He took a second to clear his thoughts. “But… your eyes, they… they look so…” He stopped. He searched for the right word to say. Good, great, amazing, wonderful, stunning. None of these words seemed to fit to describe the beauty that was his boyfriend’s mark. Suddenly, a tear started to roll down Magnus’ cheek. “Ugly? Hideous? Unnatural?” Magnus ended Alec’s sentence, his voice shaky. He freed his hands out of Alec’s grip and let them hang loose at his sides. Blinking away tears he met Alec’s eyes, who was now looking at him even more shocked than before. “There’s nothing I haven’t heard yet, Alec. I believe I know what you’re thinking. So go on. Tell me how hideous I am. Tell me I’m a monster. Tell me you don’t want to have anything to do with a filthy demon spawn.” Magnus balled his hands into fists, desperately trying to prevent himself from crying even more. But nothing worked. “Do you think I haven’t seen that exact reaction hundreds of times before? Do you think I don’t know people are acting nice but are actually scared of me? I might act like I don’t care but do you know what? It hurts. It hurts somewhere deep inside me and it already hurt more times than I could count.” Tears were now streaming down his face, he didn’t look at Alec anymore, avoided eye contact because he felt so ashamed of himself once again, and this time it was even worse because it was his dear Alexander. As he spoke the next sentence, his voice finally started cracking. “I thought you were different. Different from all your Shadowhunter friends who think they’re oh so better than everyone else. Who don’t have a problem with calling me “Warlock” as if it were the filthiest curse word, who don’t even really look at me once they’ve seen my mark, who don’t consider for one second that I might as well have something like feelings. You’re all just the same.”

Alec went utterly silent, honestly shocked of what Magnus just said. He wanted to hold him, kiss him and tell him he wasn’t like that. He wanted to heal the broken part of Magnus’ soul, wanted him to forget all the words people insulted him with, all the heartbreaks. He wanted to tell him his eyes were the most beautiful thing he ever saw. That was the word he was searching for before. Beautiful. Alec reached out his hands to take Magnus’ again and tell him all of that, but just as he was about to move closer to him and start talking, Magnus flinched away from his touch. “That’s… that’s not true, Magnus. Believe me.” Alec began, his hand still stretched out a few inches in front of Magnus’.

“You know it’s true. And it’s horrible. Every single time it’s horrible.” Magnus answered in a chocked voice. “Ever since I was a kid and my mother killed herself after she saw them the first time, I hated showing them to anyone.” He pointed at his eyes. “Even my own mother thought I’m a monster. And there were many after her that thought and still think the same. Now even the boy I thought I could trust.” He hated it, but right in the moment he looked at Alec as he said the last sentence, everything came crushing down on him. All the insults, the hurt he always tried to conceal with witty remarks and so many more buried pain he had to bare because he was what he was and he had what he had.

“Don’t you dare say that, Magnus!” Alec couldn’t take it any longer and grabbed his boyfriend’s shoulders. “You’re wrong.” There followed a silence where just Magnus’ sniffling was audible. Alec reached up to Magnus’ face to carefully wipe a tear away that slowly made its way down his right cheek, where Alec let his hand rest. Magnus closed his eyes and lowered his head. “I don’t think your cat eyes are hideous Magnus. They’re part of who you are. And people who won’t accept that are stupid. Don’t you dare think I would be disgusted or afraid or anything of you. Don’t you dare ever think that!” “You… you really mean that?” Magnus asked after he processed what Alec just said, his eyes still closed. “Yes I do.” Magnus’ mouth formed itself into a little relieved smile, he again could feel tears coming up. But now they were happy tears. His boyfriend did actually accept who he was, he couldn’t believe it.

Magnus was so incredibly happy, he put his hand over Alec’s on his cheek and let himself draw closer to Alec. He felt Alec putting his other hand under his chin. “Open your eyes my dear.” he said and raised Magnus’ chin up so that he was looking at Alec when he opened his eyes a few moments later. “You actually mean that, Alexander?” Magnus asked quietly, only to convince himself even more. “Yes.” “You really do?” “Magnus I assure you, I swear by the Angel, I mean it.” Magnus was still red- and wet eyed, but he grinned. A vow to the Angel. From a Shadowhunter. That was something. But just to be really sure, he narrowed his eyes and asked again. “By what angel?”

“Dear god, Magnus.” Alec now grinned too. He put his other hand on Magnus’ left cheek, so that the warlock’s face was cupped and looked him deep in the eyes. “I swear, on the Angel Raziel, that I, Alexander Gideon Lightwood, accept you, Magnus Bane, High Warlock of Brooklyn, as you are. You have cat eyes and that’s okay. You don’t ever have to be ashamed, and you better don’t ever think that I hate them again, because I don’t. Is that good enough of an oath to you?” Magnus looked very serious during Alec’s vow, but began to smile again now and that was all Alec needed to know it was good enough.

“It was. It really was Alexander. And I swear I will never let myself believe again that you wouldn’t accept who I am.” He put his hands on Alec’s hip, and because Alec still cupped his face, he didn’t have any other choice but to look at Alec and smile at him. He felt Alec moving closer to him, but before he could bend down to kiss him, Magnus had to get another thing off his chest. A few weeks ago, he had told Alec that he unlocked something in Magnus but he wasn’t aware that the Shadowhunter boy he didn’t even know that long, managed to unlock parts of Magnus’ soul he didn’t show anyone but himself before. “Alexander… you should know though, that until this day, I try really hard to accept my mark. Some days I don’t have a problem with showing them, at least when I’m not around mundanes. But there are some days where I just hate them. Especially after someone once again showed me what he thinks of them. Be it through looks or through insults. On those days I hate them so incredibly much because all they ever did was bring me pain. That’s why I mostly glamour them, why I didn’t show them to you from the beginning. That’s why I didn’t want you to see them, because I was sure the minute you’d see them you would end all of this. As so many before you did. But you didn’t and I’m forever incredibly grateful for that. But Alexander, the truth is that I doubt I’ll ever fully accept my mark. You know, my cat eyes, they are…” “… beautiful.” Alec quietly ended the sentence.

Alec ended Magnus’ sentence with the one word he thought would ever be remotely accurate to  describe the yellow-green colouring of the irises and the perfectly slit-shaped pupils of his boyfriend’s eyes. A moment later, the most amazing eyes he ever saw widened and the pupils thickened a tiny bit. “They’re… they’re what?” Magnus asked surprised. Did he just not get that right or did Alec just say his eyes were… beautiful? His mark has been called many things, many many things, but never beautiful. Interesting, fascinating, captivating, those were some of the best things they’ve been called by people who actually liked Magnus. But beautiful was utterly new. And unexpected. Very very unexpected. Magnus stared at Alec with disbelief in his wide open eyes.

“You don’t believe me, do you?” Alec asked gently, stroked the warlock’s left cheek with his thumb and watched Magnus slowly shake his head afterwards. “No one ever called them that Alexander. No one. Not once. I didn’t think anyone would ever do. I don’t even believe it myself, how should anyone else ever think that?” he said sadly, his grip on Alec’s hips getting tighter to remind himself he’s actually there and actually just said that. He watched as Alec moved his head closer to his and felt his hands moving down to Magnus’ shoulder again. And there it was. The smile he loved so incredibly much. The gentle tiny, light-up-the-world Alec-smile. “Oh Magnus.” Alec whispered, if to himself or to Magnus, he didn’t know.

There was now barely any space left beween them and the remaining space got filled with Alec gently resting his forehead against Magnus’. Alec holding Magnus by the shoulders and Magnus holding Alec by the hips, their foreheads touching they stood there for a few moments, just looking at each other, until Alec cleared his throat and whispered “They’re so so beautiful, they’re… you’re so beautiful.” Alec brought his head even closer to Magnus’ than it already was and had his lips now nearly touching Magnus’. They both let their lips hovering over each others for a few hearbeats. “My god, you’re so beautiful.” Alec whispered against Magnus’ lips and finally, finally kissed him.

They kissed once before, at Alec’s almost-wedding with Lydia. But that kiss was totally utterly different to the one they shared now. The wedding kiss was fierce, intense and full of desire from both of them. The kiss now was slow, gentle, intense in a whole other meaning. Alec was so incredibly tender, he wanted Magnus to know how ridiculously in love he was with him, wanted him to believe everything he just said through that kiss. They both could feel each others heart beat, Alec realizing that right now, in that moment, both their hearts beat as one. It felt like they shared one heart together, which Alec was sure, was actually the case from now on. Magnus felt it too and was taken aback in the best way he could imagine, that after all those years, he finally found true love again. And not only true love. He found someone who would fight with him against any evil in this world and he couldn’t describe to anyone how happy and grateful he was for that.

They both weren’t sure how much time had passed during the kiss, but they were both still standing, Alec now cupping Magnus’ face again and both of them not wanting to move their head away from the other. Alec started to whisper against Magnus’ lips again. “You’re so beautiful Magnus.” “You already said that.” Magnus whispered back and smiled, he now cupped Alec’s face too. “I know but… it seemed worth repeating. And I will repeat it over and over again until you believe it. And even then I will tell you again and again.” “You’re so sure I will eventually believe it?” Magnus asked. He honestly wanted to know if someone could actually do that. “I will help you to.” Alec answered and brushed his lips against Magnus’. “You know why?” “Why?” “Because…” Alec placed a kiss on the edge of Magnus’ mouth. “… you should know you’re beautiful…” Another kiss on Magnus’ left cheekbone. “… just the way you are.” A third one on the edge of his mouth again. Alec closed his eyes. “Magnus Bane, you are the most beautiful human being there ever was and ever will be. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. The people who don’t appreciate you don’t deserve to even be in your presence. They don’t deserve you, because you are so kind, so loving, and so incredibly optimistic even after living so long. They don’t deserve you, because you deserve the universe. You don’t know it, but I do.”

“My dear Alexander, how do I deserve you?” Magnus asked in a husky voice, being very moved from Alec’s little speech. “I just told you. You needed someone to tell you the truth.” Magnus let out a sigh and pulled Alec into a tight hug, because right now he didn’t have any other idea what to do. “I know and I thank you a thousand times for that. But I have to note one thing. You said ‘human being’…” “Yes, and?” “You know I’m a warlock. I’m not a human being.” “Technically, yes. But not to me. To me you are exactly what I said.” Alec answered and buried his face in Magnus’ neck. “I wish I knew how to find the words to describe to you what this all means to me. Until I find them, thank you. Just thank you, Alexander.” He began to stroke Alec’s hair and felt the boy smile against his shoulder. “And I promise you, no glamouring of my cat eyes anymore when we’re together. Because a certain someone told me I don’t have to change myself. And I won’t.” he added and began to smile himself. As an answer, Alec squeezed him a little tighter for a second.

So they stood there for a few minutes, until Alec started asking questions like “What happens if you’re pissed? Do your pupils then get three times their normal size? Oh my god, can you see in the dark?” and some more. Magnus had to get himself a glass of wine. He was in the middle of pouring him a glass in as he heard Alec shout from the living room “Will you ever stop drinking?” “I don’t think so, Alexander.” he answered and grinned.

Fanfiction - A Lifetime of Her (Part VII)

Part VII – “You bleed just to know you’re alive”

Twenty-eight

Why do sirens cry in blue and red?

Are they calling for help, for the crushing urgency, the need to rob time of time itself? Or are they warning us to look away, to prepare ourselves because tragedy is upon us – we might as well be next?

Even after many years, I’d recall their grieving sound. The way my hands pressed upon Claire’s belly, blocking the exit of her life with my palms. The screams around me, senseless, enhancing my growing despair. How her eyes never left mine – daring me to stay with her, to keep death at bay.

The paramedics came. They could have taken from seconds to a lifetime to reach us – I wouldn’t be able to say. Time skipped and jumped, a leaf on the fury of wind, fragile at the thought of flying.

“I need you to step aside, sir.” A small man told me with assertiveness, trying to dislodge me from my position, kneeled next to Claire on the ground. His gloved hands were already evaluating her pulse, placing an oxygen mask on her face.

“I will not leave her side!” I growled, ferocious. He gave me a serious look, but didn’t make any further attempts to take me away from her, certain I would strike and maim any man foolish enough to try. He was right.

They quickly bandaged her abdomen with a pile of snow white compresses, held tight against her body by a bandage skilfully applied. Claire tried not to moan, but I could see her pain in every ragged breath, in the sweat that dripped from her brow.

The ambulance flew across the roads of Edinburgh, transporting us to the closest trauma centre. The driver had opened his mouth – about to object my presence – but was shortly discouraged by my menacing glance and a shook of head from the short paramedic.

“Hold on.” I repeated to Claire, like a mantra, holding her band – being almost thrown to the opposite side of the ambulance as the vehicle raced to the hospital, jumping on speed bumps and sliding on the curves like a car in hot pursuit. “Dinna die on me, mo nighean donn. I won’t let ye, do ye hear me?”

“I’m… not… too keen…. on the idea… either.” She puffed haltingly, making a weak attempt of a smile, which almost broke my heart.

“Woman of thirty, victim of an armed robbery, gunshot wound to the upper right quadrant with no exit wound – she’s losing blood fast.” The paramedic announced, as they erupted through the emergency doors, a team standing by to receive them. “Glasgow fifteen, she has been responsive during transport. Her blood pressure kept dropping, the saline is wide open but ineffective fluid challenge.” He informed to a man with brown hair and olive eyes, who nodded in acquiescence, leading the gurney carrying Claire to a trauma room as I followed closely.

“Denzel.” Claire whispered to the young surgeon, as he started to unpack her abdomen to access her injuries. “Is that you?” He looked at her face, surprised at hearing his name, and his eyes opened in shock.

“Claire!” He touched her face in greeting, as nurses hurried around, preparing trays and drugs that might be necessary. “Dear God! What happened?”

“Do ye know her?” I asked, grabbing her hand in spite of a nurse’s protest, prepared to shoo me away from the secluded room.

“Of course.” He looked at me with concern in his calm eyes, as he started to palpate her belly. Claire hissed in pain and he pursed his worried lips. “I met Claire during medical school in Boston and was very pleased when she decided to return to Scotland and be a resident here, as I am. You really shouldn’t be here, sir.”

“Please…” Claire pleaded, closing her eyes for a second and licking her chapped lips. “Let Jamie stay…just a while longer.”

“Alright.” Denzel Hunter patted her hand in reassurance. “As long as he doesn’t faint on me.”

“How… bad… is it, Denny?” She asked, her eyes more unfocused and glassy. “I’m…fairly…sure…it went through…my liver.”

“And I’m sure you’re right - brilliant even in this situation, my dear. I’ll ask Doctor Myers to come in to operate.” Denny smiled, skilfully inserting a catheter on her jugular vein.

“I’ll be dead…before…he gets here.” Claire said sheepishly, raising her brow. Her face was hazardously pale, her whiskey eyes shining even brighter, her orbs dilated from pain and blood loss. “It has…to be you. I trust…you.”

Denny nodded, solemn, checking her pupils with a small flashlight, as she suddenly became unconscious – the monitors around them going crazy with alarms. “She’s bleeding out! Let’s move people, hang that saline wide open and two units of blood on the rapid infuser!” He commanded, concentrated in the wound’s trajectory. “Do you know her blood type, by any chance?”

I didn’t know her blood type – never had the chance to ask her, that information amongst a million other precious details of her that I knew nothing about. I didn’t know her birthday, even though I knew the position she slept in. I didn’t know her favourite dish – even if I was aware she preferred sneakers than high heels. I almost choked at the realization of the lifetime of things I could be robbed of, so devastatingly – left wondering, forever, because the time we had been offered hadn’t been enough. Knowing how much I loved her – and yet knowing so little of the one I loved.

“I dinna ken.” I admitted, gripping my fists, fighting the urge to curl into a ball and weep on the floor, stained with her blood.

“That’s alright.” Denzel assured me, throwing away compresses soaked in blood. “Let’s go with O-negative! I need a blood gas test as soon as possible and someone call the OR, let them know we’re coming! I want to be doing the first cut in less than five minutes!”

“Is she going to be alright?” I fearfully asked him, reluctantly letting go of her hand as a nurse took blood from her wrist with a fine syringe.

“She’s going into shock from the blood loss.” He explained in a steady voice. “I need to repair the damage right away, before she’s too unstable to endure the procedure. We’ll take her away now.”

I approached her, feeling numb as if my own blood had been turned to ice in my veins. I kissed her forehead, my lips hot against her perspired skin.

“Don’t leave me, Claire. This time I’ll beg.” I whispered in a broken voice. “Don’t leave me.”

****

I roamed the strikingly white corridors, incapable of sitting any longer in the waiting room outside the OR, where other husbands, daughters and mothers gathered, hope and fear lurking inside their eyes.

I came upon the small chapel, whispering of shelter and tranquillity in the half-light. I sat on the wooden bench, my hands entwined in prayer – I was ready to surrender to His will well enough, but was intent on offering a bargain.

“Lord, ye gave her to me.” I whispered, my eyes fixed on the cross where he had been martyr, symbol of the most loyal of loves. “I canna make sense of it in any other way. When my need was greatest ye set her upon my path so she could heal my soul. All along I was meant for her.” A warm tear streamed down my check, too raw to be contained. “And I intend to love her well the rest of my days – to care for her and make a home of her heart. I shall repay the gifts bestowed upon me by loving her to the best of my abilities. So I ask ye now – dinna take her away.”

I clenched my teeth, fighting against the sobs that threaten to wreck my body. “For if ye ever loved, ye know this – there’s this place inside me that only exists as long as she walks the earth. Once she’s gone, the part of me that lived in her light – the best, the one that makes me myself and no one else - will die with her.” My voice was unhinged, resounding in the naked walls, pulsing as the chambers of His heart. “I’m none so brave as I was before, ken?” I added very softly. “Not brave enough to live without her anymore.”

I heard footsteps approaching the door – I didn’t bother to clean away the tear tracks on my cheeks. I didn’t turn either – I knew who had come to bring me news.

“Does she live?” I asked aloud – the hint of pain, of shaped glass an inch away from shattering, creeped into my voice.

“She lives.” Denzel Hunter sat next to me, sighing in tiredness as his bones found comfort in transient rest. “It was touch and go for a while, but I was able to retrieve the bullet and repair the vessels – she lost a bit of her liver, but it will regenerate itself with time.” His outline was sharp, softness mixed with edges, akin to a bust of an angel descending from grace to speak of hope to the lost crowd. “It will be a slow recovery – but she lives.”

“Thank ye.” I closed my eyes and bent my head, my body shaking from supressed grief, as I let go of the leash I had been using to keep myself together. “Thank ye.” I repeated. I didn’t know if I was thanking Denzel Hunter or God – but to me, in that moment, they were one and the same.

He squeezed my shoulder in silent acknowledgment and left me alone – to cry for joy and gratitude, for my heart had been saved.

****

I sat by her side as soon as she went to a room in recovery. I jumped each time a monitor bleeped, startled to the point of panic – but she slept peacefully, her lips still hauntingly pale.

I knew sleep wouldn’t touch me – my task was to watch over her. To guard her. To will her back to me.

I marvelled with each heartbeat – found terror in the infinitesimal space between each and every one of them. I talked to her in the Gaidhlig, the language of my dreams, in which I could best tell her all my heart. I brushed her hand with inquiring fingers, learning the lines of her to make sure they were still the same. I kissed her lips softly, remembering the promise of her laugh.

And as the moon rose outside, I watched the circuit of air inside her lungs, the tiny movements of flesh and bone, adjusting to the challenging rhythms of life. I watched her breathe again and again, until she opened her eyes to look at me – and I discovered that I too could breathe again.

From Part 2:

“You want me?” he asks again, his fingers dancing on your skin, eyes dark and focused, lips parted as he breathes heavily waiting for your answer.

You lick your dry lips, the word coming out hoarsely, but clear nonetheless.

“Yes.”

He hums, satisfied with your response. You watch Dean’s eyes as they follow his fingers along the collar of your shirt. You stretch your neck as he drifts his fingers over the skin there, just barely tickling you and igniting a rush that makes its way down your body in a shiver. Your eyes roll back in your skull, and your head follows the movement, stretching your neck as your head tilts to the side.

His hand moves lower, his palm just brushing over your breast, grazing at the stiff peak of your nipple, making you jerk your head down as you gasp. Your body had never felt this sensitive, so amped up. He watches you respond to him, his jaw set as he focuses on his touch, a controlled hunger in his eyes. Never had you been with a man who had looked at you that way, like he could eat you alive.

“Adventure in life is good; consistency in coffee even better.”
Justina Chen, North of Beautiful

Your name: submit What is this?

“What the hell is a macchiato?”

You stood hand in hand with Dean in front of a too-happy barista who awaited your orders pleasantly. Dean always teased you about your “fancy” coffee habit. You figured it was about time he gave it a try himself. Dean tended to stick to his ways; you figured with the havoc his life was filled with, he would take whatever consistency he could get. You were just glad you were a part of that comfort to him.

“Shh,” you replied, swatting at Dean’s arm gently. “Not so loud. It’s like a latte but not mixed up, I think.”

“You’re paying two dollars more for them not to mix it?”

You shrugged. “Essentially.”

THE BRAVES

Chapter 1.

“God not only plays dice, he also sometimes throws the dice where they cannot be seen.” Stephen Hawkings.

April 1942, Panem, France.

Rain was falling heavily on the trees, clicking on the roofs, echoing in the streets of the town, soaking the man’s shirt.

But he couldn’t move.

One single move, and the sentinel standing closeby would undoubtedly see him.

He just couldn’t get caught.

There were barely two hundred meters left to reach Peeta’s house, to get to the safety of his home. Two hundred meters, but they were always the longest and most dangerous.

“Don’t tell John, he’ll kill me if he knows I’m supporting your addiction.” Sherlock turned his cigarette on with a lighter he had on his shirts pockets.

“I feel like my addictions are changing.” He muttered.

(Y/N) shifted slowly, changing the weight of his body from one foot to the other and looked away. Sherlock noticed how bothered she was, yet she looked so sensual, standing there and looking like a stranger. A Greek goddess in a sea of British culture.

She was staring at him, expectantly. Waiting for him to stop smoking in order to pay his full attention back at her.

Sherlock bit his lip at the thought – the memory – of her flustered face buried on his pillows, squirming under his body. “Oh, screw this.” Sherlock mumbled, throwing the cigarette out of the window before pushing (Y/N) to the wall.

He kissed her as if it was the last time he would see her, making sure to put the right pressure between her legs. Feeling how his own body started to react back at her.

“Thank God John’s on holiday.” Sherlock whispered, “We are going to be very busy, my dear.”

9 crimes

Pairing: Eliza Schuyler x Reader

Summary: There are 10 things a person should never do under any circumstances. Throughout all your life you did 9 out of those 10.

or the story of two little girls who fell in love and of two women who had to bury those feelings.

Word count: 1,668

Time period: Hamiltime

Warnings: None (yet).

Note: This is a big work that’s going to be divided into three parts. Each one with 3 ‘crimes’. It may be confusing at the start as to what exactly are the crimes (or maybe it’s really obvious and I think is not) but at the end, I think everyone is going to get it. Also, I was experimenting with the narration again so… let’s see how that goes. I hope you like it, guys!  ♡

Extra information: I didn’t mention it in the text but the reader is the same age as Peggy, so is one year younger than Eliza and two years younger than Angelica. Oh and they’re neighbors.

First.

You were seven when you felt the closest to hell, but God forbid your mother to heard you say that or she would take you to church every single day.

Heat pushed in on you, making you felt claustrophobic even though you were outside. The humidity was almost overwhelming; it was like breathing in bath water. Your cheeks were tinted in a beautiful red and sweat rolled down your forehead sticking strands of your bangs to your skin. It was not pleasant at all but the daisies surrounding you made it all worth it.

You wondered if there were daisies in hell. ‘Maybe if Lucifer was given some flowers he would smile and wouldn’t be as bad as people in church say he is’ you thought, playing with one of the blossoms in your hand ‘Or maybe he and God could go and have tea…’

Somehow that line of thought ended with you making a flowers crown. It wasn’t perfect, the ones your nanny used to make were way better but it was good enough not to crumble at the touch and it looked pretty. You were proud of yourself.

And just when you were planning to go back home to show your creation to your mother and father someone approached to you. It was a girl. She was even redder than you, —you didn’t know if it was for the weather or because she apparently had been running— with her ponytail almost undone and her eyes full of tears.

Both of you looked at each other with surprise, not having anticipated finding someone else.

“Why are you crying?” you couldn’t help to ask.

She sniffed, rubbing her eyes with the sleeve of her dress “I’m not cr-crying…”

“Yes you are” you pointed out, standing up and searching in your pockets for the handkerchief you always carried with you “But that’s alright” you assured her with a smile, handing her the white object “We all cry, even my mum does it sometimes”

She shyly accepted the handkerchief and softly wiped her tears away “But I don’t like it” she mumbled “Peggy makes fun of me”

“Peggy?”

“My sister. She says I look ugly when I cry”

You observed her again, thoughtfully this time. And noticed her long and still wet eyelashes, her button nose and how bright her eyes actually were. It was almost unbelievable that someone dared to say she looked bad.

“I think you look more like an apple” you acknowledged and she frowned, not being pleased with your statement “B-but a nice apple! Like those my nanny uses to make a pie. They’re bright red and beautiful. Totally the best apples!” you explained yourself, maybe getting too excited about it because you somehow made her laugh. It was a soft sound, sweet and contagious. You couldn’t help the giggle that escaped your lips.

“You could be the Apple goddess” you proposed, taking your flowers crown and softly placing it on her head.

“Why not just a queen?”

“I don’t know” you shrugged “I just think goddess sounds prettier than queen”

She seemed to think of it for a moment, moving her lips to form the words in a soundless whisper. Then nodded and stared at you with a bright smile.

“Yes, it sounds prettier”

Second.

When you were ten, you heard the word for the first time in the mouth of someone who was not your parents: Love.

You were still young, a child with three friends who were playing in their father’s fields.

“Love is all mom talks about recently,” said Peggy, mouth scrunched into a frown.

“Such a nonsensical concept” Angelica added, stretching beside her “If I could be tempted to it, it would be for someone whose mind challenges my own, a storm in wit”

You tilted your head back, letting the sun brush gently down your face and feeling Eliza’s fingers still braiding your hair softly.

“I’d do it for someone who brightens my day and motivates me to be better,” you said with a little smile on your mouth “Someone who makes the stars seem to shine brighter”

Peggy looked at you, then at Angelica and laughed lightly.

“You’ve just said the same thing the fairy tales do” she teased, but then her eyes seemed to be filled with excitement and curiosity as she sat closer to you “It must be that you are already in love with someone!”

“She is not” Eliza blurted out and you could imagine the little frown on her face “If you love someone he needs to court you and ask for your hand to marry you. And (Y/N) is not being courted by anyone”

Angelica smiled and patted her sister’s head “What a silly notion you have of love, dear”

“Wait, is not like that?” Eliza asked, turning her face to Angelica with a confused expression.

“Of course not, you dumbo” Peggy said among giggles “You love someone when the stork leaves a baby on your door”

“What does that have to do with love?” you asked back, noticing how Peggy’s hand got closer to you hair to take one of the flowers that Eliza had pinned in it just to be lightly slapped away by her sister.

“Ouch!” Peggy cried, giving Eliza a grumpy look “Well, you have to love someone to have a baby!”

“Yes, but you have to love them before that” at least that was what your mother had told you, “I think loving someone is when you give them the last cookie even if you want to eat it too”

The youngest of the Schuyler sisters laughed again “That can’t be love!”

“Why not?”

“Because if it was, Eliza would be in love with you”

You stayed silent for a few seconds, analyzing different sceneries in your head to then finally turn your head to Eliza, whose hands had started trembling a little against your hair.

“None of you have a single clue of what love is” Angelica sighed, shaking her head. “It worries me that because of that you’d give your heart to someone who does not deserve it”

“We won’t,” you said, and the three sisters stared at you with inquiry in their eyes “Because we now have a

love amulet

” you stated happily as you took off the small necklace you had around your neck. It was a simple gold chain with a gold heart hanging from it.

“A love amulet?” Eliza repeated as you gently turned around to place it in her hands.

“Yes, we just have to wear it when someone wants to courter us and somehow we will know if that person is the indicated”

Eliza and Peggy seemed to believe it’ll work and nodded excitedly.  Angelica had a doubtful expression but finally nodded too. It was a sweet irony that she was the first one to wear it three years later.

Third.

You were sixteen the first time you felt it. It had hit you like a brick. Love.

Eliza was sitting beside you, her delicate fingers glided in circles at your hands.

“I can’t play like this” you whispered and she smiled.

“You don’t have to” was her answer, soft and melodic like the sound of the piano keys.

Dix begs to differ” you joked resting your head against hers.

“Hmm” with a loving expression on her face, she placed her hands on the piano and played the little melody again. You pulled apart slightly, just enough for her to reach all the keys “Une, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf…”

“Dix,” you said.

Eliza shook her head in a “no” sign and took your hands again, motioning you to play the piece.

You rolled your eyes but indulged her anyway, brushing the keys with your fingers in a soft movement “Une, deux, trois—” Eliza leaned in closer and placed a light kiss on your cheek, you smiled “quatre, cinq, six—” another one, this time on your chin “sept, huit, neuf—”

Before you could add the dix Eliza pressed her lips against yours. It was just a touch, it didn’t last more than a second. A chaste affection that was as soft as the spring breeze.

You tended to kiss a lot because that’s what children do, that’s what best friends do. You kissed on the forehead, the cheek, the eyelids, the nose, the chin… but never on the lips. Never like this.

You froze, she blushed, and the room was filled with silence. The soft and almost inexistent echo of the forgotten melody was the only thing you could hear. For the first time, the silence was not comfortable and it made your hands sweat and Eliza’s eyes to get glassy.

“I… didn’t…” her voice trembled, her gaze wouldn’t meet yours.

“Please don’t” you pleaded in a whisper. ‘Don’t say you didn’t mean it’.

She looked at you this time and you closed the distance between your mouths with another kiss. Tenderly and almost shyly you let your lips to brush against hers, slowly exploring the softness of the feeling and the taste of her breath. The movement was clumsy and innocent, slow and delicate… but then she kissed you back and it was perfect.

When you pulled apart, you were greeted with her flushed face and widened eyes. You to let out a little laugh.

I swear to God if the only reason why you kissed me was to shut me up before I reached ten I’m not going to forgive you,” you said, pressing your forehead against hers.

She laughed too “It was one of the reasons, but not the main one”

Eliza placed her right hand on your nape and started playing absentmindedly with your hair. You closed your eyes and sighed contently.

The sound of her voice gave you butterflies, her smile made your heart skip a beat, every time you were with her you felt so complete… You should’ve known it before; of course it was love.

This life, part 3

Pairing: Reader x Eventually Loki

Word Count: 3090 (Way longer than planned)

Warning: Angst

Part 1, part 2

The travel back to Asgard felt different from before.  Perhaps it had something to do with your abilities but it meant little once your feet planted firm on the ground beneath you.  You lifted your hand from the Tesseract before looking between the two men standing before you.  Thor looked relieved to have returned.  Loki was more difficult to read.  His eyes were hiding what was going on in his mind.  You did not want to know what was swirling there, what thoughts would be in the forefront.

“I have completed my vow to you, my friend.  Now I will take my leave.  My bed is singing a siren’s song to me.”  Thor grabbed your arm as you turned away, stopping you from stepping further.

“[Y/N]… I have one more thing to ask you.”  Searching his eyes you knew exactly what he wanted and it infuriated you.

“No!  I will not do it.  How dare you ask that of me!  I already risked my life following to Midgard and now you want that of me?  No.”  Loki’s eyes widened in surprise at your response.  He had never seen your temper flair like that.  Thor looked abashed for asking but he felt it was necessary.  “I will not escort you to the throne room. You can meet with your father and mother.  My duty is fulfilled.”

Storming off towards the stables, your boots echoed in the hall. Both men watching your form as you stormed away. There was a tingling sensation forming in your hand.  It was necessary to take slow breaths to calm your anger or else you might lose control of your powers.  Your horse was happy to see you.  As you saddled him you fed him a few of the apples that were left outside of his stall.  The ride home proved quiet and far more relaxing than you had anticipated.  The night sky of Asgard was your companion as you sang quietly, an old song your mother sung when you were a child.  Which at this moment you found odd, since it had been years since you allowed yourself any good memories of the woman.

Once home you removed your armor and bathed long, letting your muscles relax in the warmth of the water.  The pattering on the roof made you aware of the rain that had started to fall. Perhaps it would cleanse not only Asgard but also you of the foul mood.  It had been so long and now Loki returned and all the old memories came rushing back. As the water cooled, you washed and dressed for bed.  Your journey had made you weary not only physically but left you emotionally raw as well.  In the morning if you felt better you would almost certainly apologize to Thor.  Not that you would do what he wanted, but you would apologize for screaming at him.  Even though he deserved it.

When you woke, your body was stiff and it left you in no mood to train.  Instead of your armor and your leathers, you chose a gown to wear. The color mirrored that of the sea and sat off your shoulder.  The flowing skirts following behind you.  Brushing out your long [H/C] hair until it fell low on your back, like a straight curtain.  It had been ages since you felt calm like this.  It was time that you had a talk with the Gods again.  Whether they answered or not they would hear your prayers. As you prepared to ride back to your field, a firm knock sounded on the door.  Once more Emin had been sent to retrieve you.  Though he bowed in great respect before he spoke.  You could see a ripple of appreciation at your appearance as he stood.

“My Lady… The King and Queen wish to see you.”  Crossing your arms over your chest in annoyance, you raised a brow at him.

“I have done my duty and brought the princes home.  What possibly could they want with me now?”  Emin sighed loudly.  He knew from the beginning you would be difficult.

“Lady [Y/N], I do not ask questions of the king and queen.  I am merely the messenger.  Please do not make me beg, here in the streets.  Fore you know I will if necessary.  I dare not return without you.  I like my head where it is placed.”  Frowning at him, you went inside to put on your cloak.  Though he was not aware of that.  The man was staring at the ground in despair, thinking how he would word his begging when you returned.

“We need to teach you courage, Emin.  There has to be some in there somewhere, as you earned your place in the Defenders.” The look on his face was just short of joy as you placed your cloak around your shoulders, pulling the hood up after you tied it.  As you rode toward the palace, he asked you endless questions about Midgard.  How it looked, the people, what the sky looked like. He sounded as a child with his enthusiasm.  Truth be told it lightened your mood.  You answered as honestly as you could, telling him of the things you witnessed. Once you made it to the halls, you parted ways.  Emin had no desire to be close to the throne room for whatever discussion was coming.

Thor met you outside of the throne room.  He had the same look on his face as he had when you left him the night before.  “Tell me you didn’t….”

“[Y/N], he is my brother…” Your temper raged again as your voice grew louder.

“The brother who betrayed you!  I am your friend; I have done everything you have ever asked of me.  You know this… this is too much.”  He stepped forward in an attempt to calm you but you step away from him.  Pain etching across his face as it was the first time you had ever done so.  The doors opened to the throne room, with the queen walking towards you.

“Your voices are carrying.  Odin knows you are here, my girl.  Come.” She did not try to touch you, as she knew what was going to be asked of you and how difficult it would be.  There was no comforting you at this time.  You could feel Thor’s gaze upon your back as you walked in front of him.  In the silence your anger grew, a balled fist at your side as you tried to keep your powers at bay.  The king watched you closely as you drew near.  Choosing not to speak, you simply bowed before him waiting to hear him to begin.

“I have been told you fared well in Midgard, [Y/N].  You are uninjured, yes?”  His tone was light and easy.  Not the usual low and dark tone he reserved for you.

“I am well, my Lord.” You were going to keep your replies short.  If he wished to ask you then so be it.  Nevertheless, you were no going to give the offering of it first.

“Do you know why you are here, child?”  Biting you lip against an angry retort you nodded.

“Yes, my Lord.”  Odin’s jaw tensed as he waited for what he thought would be a fiery outburst.  When one did not appear, he proceeded.

“Thor believes that Loki shows remorse.  That there is redeemable qualities in him.  What is your mind of this?”  The king was asking you?  No, he wanted you to offer.

“I spent as little time as possible with him my Lord.  I do not know if he has shown remorse for what he has done.” Both the king and queen were becoming frustrated.

“I asked you here, the queen and I have asked you here, to determine whether Thor is right in his thoughts that there is something redeemable in Loki.”  There it was he finally said it.  As hard as you tried, you could not keep the tears from your eyes.

“You are my king.  I am your servant and will do as you order of me.”  Clasping your hands together in front of you, you held on for dear life.  Frigga attempted to step towards you but Odin stopped her.

“[Y/N]… I am not asking as your king.  Know I am asking this, not ordering.  I am asking as a father and the queen as a mother.  Can our son be redeemed?”  Something broke inside of you, as the tears slipped down your cheeks.  Frigga wanted so badly to comfort you, but she needed to stay strong in her reasons.  She wanted her son returned to her, even if it hurt you.

“I will do as you ask, my Lord.  However, if he refuses I will not force him.  I would never force it on anyone.  Then I wish to be left alone for some time.  May I have that?  Peace to clear what will come of this?”  Odin nodded, motioning for Thor to come closer.  You had all but forgotten he was there.

“You may have what you wish. Thor will bring you down to the cells, though it is more for Loki’s protection than yours.  I saw the mark you caused.”  The look he gave you was one of approval.  You bowed before walking towards the door.  Thor’s long strides keeping pace with your as you tried to retreat as quickly as possible, your skirts swishing with the movement.

Once you were out of earshot, Thor grabbed your arm, gently this time.  “I am sorry.  I had to do something to save him.  I know there is something inside him…”  You ripped his hand from your arm as you turned to face him.

“You knew how much this would hurt me.  Everything to save Loki.  Your parents know what this does to me, but my pain matters little against saving Loki. I will do this because my king asked it of me.  Do not think for a moment that I want to do this.    Once it is done, you will let me in peace.  I do not want to see your face or hear your voice.  You will leave me be.”  Stomping off, Thor kept his distance behind you.  It was now starting to settle in his heart how much this would hurt you, and it caused a dark hole in his heart.

The cells beneath the palace were set up all alike with the exception of Loki’s.  While the rest were empty save the prisoners, Loki had been given many furnishings and books for comfort.  It must be good to be the son of the king while imprisoned.  He stood watching you as you moved closer towards the cell.  “Now what do I owe the pleasure of this visit, [Y/N]?  I am still healing from our last meeting, so forgive me for my curiosity.”

Thor took his place behind you, narrowing his gaze at his brother.  “She is here to help you.  If you allow it.”

“Help me?  How could she help poor Loki?  Hmm?  Brother there is nothing in all the realms to help me.”  You stood there watching his movements and his face as he spoke.  It was all different from the last time you met. The confidence was gone, though anger of sorts had replaced it.  Looking over your shoulder at Thor you spoke quietly.

“He refuses.  I do not need to stay.”  One of his large hands set on your shoulder, holding you in place.

“Give it a moment.  He knows nothing of what you can do.”  Loki laughed though there was nothing amusing in it.

“Have you not seen my face? I know what she can do.”  You glared at Loki, letting the fire build.  The energy appearing quickly over your hand.  Pressing it up against the field of the cell your energy met with it, sizzling then a loud pop as the field fell.  Nothing now stood between you.  He stepped back unsure of what to make of you.  You were not the woman he remembered.  “Perhaps, I do not know…”

“Brother, let her try. She can see inside of you, your mind. [Y/N] will be able to see how there is something good left in you.  I know there is, just let have the chance.”  Loki was of course skeptical.  As a child, you had the ability to see things, the past, sometimes the future. But nothing as this.

“She does not want to be here.  Angry to be in my presence.  Why would she do this for me?  How can I trust her?”  Him trust you…? It took everything inside of you not to hit him again.  You held steady, though.

“I have nothing left but my word and my honor, Loki.  Everything else is gone.  I gave my word to Odin and I will stand by it.  So either allow or refuse but I will not stay here all night.”  The silence in that cell was near deafening, except for the pounding of your heart.  You were praying that he would refuse but you knew better.

“I will allow it, if you answer one thing I ask.”  Canting your head as you stared up at him.

“What is it?”

“Why were you two never married?  The wedding was not far off when…  when I left. Why are you not bound together and you heavy with the next heir of Asgard?  The woman that stands before me is not the woman I knew.”  Pain shot through your heart at the memories. Memories that were of happier times. Now they were no longer.

“Odin said I was no longer worthy of a marriage to his son.  The ceremony called off a short time after you disappeared.  If you wish for me to do this then we will proceed. I cannot continue to prolong my agony here.”  You motioned to Loki to sit in one of the closer chairs, though you could see he had many more questions.  All of which you chose to ignore.  “Look into my eyes I need to focus.”  As he sat, you moved close.  Close enough causing him to swallow hard.  Resting your hands on either side of his neck, with your fingers wrapped around the back and your thumbs against his jaw.  His skin started to warm against your touch, as you looked straight into his eyes.

Sending your energy lightly through your palms searching for something that would tell you Loki felt remorse.  There was so much there buried deep that it took more of your energy to pry open the walls. Once open it washed over you like a dark waters threatening to drown you.  Pain and blood.. Torture and lies… His Jotun form breaking through with screams that would haunt your dreams.  Tears poured down your cheeks as the scenes continued.  Loki’s screams as they broke him repeatedly until he could no longer take it.  He had devised a plan… Midgard.  It was too much; you fell to your knees sobbing. It felt as though someone tried to rip out your heart with their bare hands. Thor was at your side in a moment holding you.

“[Y/N], what is it? Talk to me. What did you see?” You looked up at Loki, seeing the pain in his eyes but knowing the truth now.  The screams were still echoing in your ears.

“I need to see the Allfather.”  You refused to say anything more.  In truth, you could not even if you tried.  Your entire body shook at Thor helped you to stand.  He held tight as you stepped out of the cell walking towards the upper chambers and the throne room.  Loki stood back watching you leave.  He knew what you saw, had he known it would happen as that he would have refused.  No one else, especially you, needed to see or feel those things.  It took everything he had to keep it within him every moment.

Thor did not try to speak again as you walked.  Looking straight ahead, he try to keep you from falling to the ground.  He just had to make it to the throne room.  Once there both Odin and Frigga look anxious for your report.  Both were alarmed at your appearance as they watched Thor help you walk.

My dear [Y/N], are you well?”  Frigga ran to you fussing as her hands cupped your face, seeing the pain written over it. There was no energy left to lie.

“No my Lady, I am not well. But that is the price I pay for this.” She stepped back looking in despair at her husband.

“Tell us of what you found and as I promised you will have your peace.”  Odin stood from his throne walking down to where you stood with his son. “Tell me of Loki’s mind.  What did you see?”  Summoning everything left within you, you pushed Thor’s hands away straightening your skirts and cloak.  Trying to regain even a piece of who you were in front of them.

“What I saw is his tale to tell.  If he ever chooses to share it, is his choice.  I will say that he was forced to do much of the ill deeds.  The last choice to save himself and save the realms was to go to Midgard.  He knew there, the Chitauri would be defeated by the defenders of Midgard and by Thor. Only they would have been able to stop them and retrieve the Tesseract.  He regrets what he has done but he knows he is unforgiveable.”  Frigga let out a gasp covering her face, crying silently into her hands.  Odin looked troubled but attempted to comfort his wife before turning back to you.

“Thank you, child. You were selfless and sacrificed once more for your king.  For that, I am forever grateful.  Go, I grant your peace.  No one will seek you out, until you are ready to return.   And [Y/N] Theinndottir, I will welcome your return.”  They were words you never believed you would hear. Now was not the time, you needed air. Away from that place, you ran. You ran until you got to the stables, and then ran your horse until neither one of you could go further.  The edge of the river was where you stopped, almost falling out of the saddle to the ground.  Once on your feet you sank to your knees in the grass.  Your screams rang loud in the valley as you raged at the Gods.  Perhaps this time they would actually listen.

“Psst.” A soft but pushy voice filled your ears. You groaned and snuggled deeper into your soft and comforting blankets. “Wake up sleeping beauty!”

“Go away Jesse!” You screeched, grabbing a pillow from behind you and heaving it in his direction. A giggle escaped your lips when you distinctly heard the pillow slam against Jesse’s face. You felt your bed shift slightly as he fell backwards from the blunt force of your throw.

“God damn it!” Jesse groaned, laughing slightly at the end of the sentence. You felt him toss the pillow back to its original position next to you.

One-Shot: Gibberish. (Ghost Speak)

Warning: Cursing.

Summary: Daniel James Fenton, the freak of Casper High; Everyone talked behind the teens back, they, as in the whole shool and occasionally staff always rumored that sometimes, he wrote (and occasionally spoke) complete gibberish, he couldn’t even write a full paragraph without messing it up and making it impossible to read! (An experienced Lancer would complain) “He’s an odd one at that.”; One would say if he had the courage “It’s freaky”, another would jeer at how stupid Fenton seemed, “He’s probably semi-retarded.” That person would historically assume. But, that’s not the case.

From a certain freaks quoting: “ghost language just won’t give me a break.. Will it?”

________________________________

It was slow Wednesday, birds chirped, crows cawed, and teachers gave ridiculously long lectures..

“Daniel Fenton.” A slow boring voice called, it was of course, Mr. Lancer, standing expectantly in front of the class, tapping a toe. ‘Oh boy’, a raven haired teen labeled freak reluctantly forced his attention onto the bald, tire bellied, and underly paid teacher; He hated being on the spotlight. And now not being able to go to the bathroom for more than five minutes to escape the classrooms gaze: What was to come, was inevitable.

Gingerly the meek, shy boy got up as slow as possible; not that it was helping the situation at hand. He could see it in his peers eyes just rudely asking him, ‘How long will you getting up take?’ There was a clear distinction of impatience, so they began talking to one another in whispers, resulting to Lancer’s disapproving sigh. The baggy clothed boy, inching towards the front swallowed the building fear that gurgled inside his throat.

“Mr. Fenton, hurry up, please.” The pot bellied teacher scolded, an underlying tone of irritation laced his words. And of course, no one in the whole entire room could blame the clear annoyance in his voice.

While everyone waited expectantly, and thank god- still talking amongst eachother, a few yawns and scratches began to sound from the forever waiting crowd, mostly those who were friendless in this particular class; all in all they seemed calm, bored, whatever names that could possibly describe dying from complete bored-ism, not that that was a word.

As successfully halving their tired eyes, the nervous teen called upon was having an internal panic attack, ‘I can’t do this, I’m gonna make a joke out of myself..’ Danny thought misrably, ‘I wrote it wrong.’ He referred to the oncoming presentation he was to read off of lined paper in front of the whole class.

“Hurry Fento-nail! I can’t sit here all day!” A blonde jock loudly said just as Danny passed the bully, people laughed, for the most part because the blonde was popular. Which irked Danny to his very core.

Clenching and unclenching a fist, the raven haired teen ignored the stupid comment and refocused on the situation, ‘I can’t speak..- I’ll mess up-’ The minor continued to whine in his head, finally at his destination, the boy timidly took the lined paper from the teachers hold still buying some time.. “Good luck.” Mr. Lancer reassured hopelessly; snickers followed after the comment.

Mr. Lancer returning to his desk, clasped his hands together mannerly, a ridiculously broad posture showing his 'professionalism’ as a teacher. Raising a brow, the teacher sighed at the sight he took in unimpressed, Mr. Fenton that was. Slowly looking down at his paper Danny studied the text trying to make sense out of it. It was- again, written in the wrong language. 'Well shit. How do you expect me to read this?’

Nimbly holding the paper, he squinted once more blinking a few times, the letters disassembling and re piecing back to the known language required for the class. Now he saw nothing other than English- it still wasn’t in fact, Mr. Lancer and everyone else saw the gibberish he has written, thinking Daniel Fenton A) has the worst handwriting in the planet, B) he was extremely bad at English. C) He was dumb and or retarded. Or even D) All of the above. As said, everyone talked about it behind his back, anyone who knew about his, 'Gibberish’ handwriting said something along the lines of 'freak’, 'dumbass’, 'retard’, 'loser’, 'different’… Yeah, you get the idea.

;He feels loved. (Note the sarcasm)..

'This should be easy.’ Danny perked his thoughts misrably, his extraordinary baby blue eyes hovering over the paper’s fine writing; It was a beautiful Essay, but sadly Mr. Lancer would probably never know that. Clearing his throat he concentrated, reading the 'English’. “ahm-” he got a feel for his voice to help return his first language, looking around the classroom to see bored faces. But it was to no avail.

“Lҽ αႦɾα ɱσɾɱҽɳƚσɱ ʅαƈ Ⴆσɾϝɾαҽ, ƚҽαʅʅҽ ƈɾσʂɳҽɱσʂ E ραҽ ʅҽ ԃσɳɱαƈɾҽɱႦα Lҽ Eʂʂαყ. Eαɳɠʅҽȥ ɳα ʂρԋҽƈϝ, ɱҽɾɱσɳƚҽɳ Zαԋƈ Sσɾɾҽρ ƈαʂƈαԃҽɱɳ ρɾҽ αʅԃαɳια E ƈσϝɱҽƈαԋ.–”

Laughs bursted out of the classes loud mouths, “Mr. Fenton, you’re reading Gibberish again.” The teacher interrupted with an irked monotone, once again rubbing a temple with one hand formally sitting behind his desk. Danny not quite catching the sentence, looking towards the pot bellied English teacher, and asked, “Exȥҽƚσ ΛЖ?” (Excuse me?) Giggles were echoing around the room. Not understanding what was so funny he rose a high brow lowering the other, an offended look took place on the teens baffled face.

“Mr. Fenton, this is not a joke, now will you read the paper in English, not Gibberish.” The teacher stated, sounding very annoyed; and obviously, he believed Danny was a troublemaker, a misleaded student and child. This he thought proved it. He had so much potential, it’s like he threw it all away without a care, now he sees a slacker, a non enthusiast..

“E ʂρԋҽƈϝ Eαɳɠʅҽȥ ϝιƚσ!” (I’m speaking English fine!) Danny said defensively sounding panicked, and rather stupidly, waving his arms to express how freaked he was. Assuming that’s what the teacher said, deciphering each word and what it could mean by the teacher’s sentence. He tried to keep together, 'It’s happening again.. Isn’t it.’ He face palmed mentally. Again, he wasn’t able to hear english, and accidently traded his regular first language to speak ghost, 'must’ve switched languages.’ he theorized ready to bang his head against his far away, empty desk.

“Mr. Fenton! Please, read in English. Now.” Danny furrowed his brows and looked more intently at the teacher, glancing between his paper and the annoyed nose pinching adult. “Wα-?” He slurred utterly confused at this point, 'this shouldn’t be happening..’. He caught on, Laughs and snickers erupted from the classroom again, they couldn’t hold the momentary stifling any longer. The raven haired boy wanted to hide, he was embarrassed, his hands sweated as his stomach flipped; he was dreadfully uncomfortable. Only one face showed sympathy, namingly Valerie and just maybe Mr.Lancer as he sighed.

Trying his luck to speak again he asked metaphorically crossing his fingers, “Ⴆσɾσɠɳαɾ ʅαƈ E.. Lҽ Eʂʂαყ..?” (Did I mess up.. on the Essay?) Another rain of laughter let out. This was the worse- not completely the worst, but it was still pretty bad. That left a sad looking Fenton.

“Did I, mess, up, on, the, assignment? Fear me.” A robotic voice sounded after the boy’s sentence.. Not good. The boy looked towards the classroom.

“Zʂԋα HαƙXɾҽɳȥσ?” (What the hell?) He mumbled baffled by the sudden noise of some-kind of siri. Everyone stopped including Danny, to turn heads towards the doorway. “What, the, hell? Fear me.” the foreign voice mimicked; this was bad news, it was even worse when two familiar figures stood at the door, a beeping tool in the man’s hand “It’s in here, I’m getting an extremely high amount of ecto-signature on the entity.”

Great, it was not his parents- but the G.I.W, 'Dear God.’ Danny thought, he couldn’t speak anymore, or else they’d find him quicker. Sealing lips shut he tried to act normal. Keyword, 'tried’, 'Don’t avoid contact too much. Don’t stare to much.. Don’t glance to much. Don’t freak, tense, blink too much! Wait no, I can blink some.. right? Wait- no I’m not taking any risks.’ He rambled in his head, muscles stiff, well stiffer since he was already reading his 'Gibberish’ in front of the whole class to humiliate himself, he gave a tight smile and faced the two hunters of which appeared at the classroom doorway.

“It’s this way?” K. a G.I.W agent walked closer to whatever was setting off the tracker; Namingly: Danny. “What?” He pondered standing right in front of the boy, the tracking devices beeper off its honker sounded annoyingly, 'shit.’ was all the innocent blue eyed boy could process at the moment.

The agent then circled him like a shark, two times, “Speak.” K. commanded to the boy. This was a tactic to see if he was a Ghostly entity, or being overshadowed, it was unlikely; but sometimes overshadowing didn’t have to change color of the eyes to that ghostly green to be positive; The boy felt like he was under a microscope, he didn’t like it at all.

“Speak, now.” Agent O. then ordered, both agents towering over the poor boy. Mr. Lancer to the rescue asked interrupting their rude demanding, “Gentlemen, may you please tell me why it is so important to interrupt my class?” He toned defensive, he didn’t have all day ya’ know.

“Sir. There is a powerful entity, 7.2 on the spectral scale, that is by far extremely lethal. And it is right here.” Agent K. spat venomously towards the boy, appointing a glare with the other agent O.. “Now speak.” He hissed in the boy’s face, Danny cringed, eyes watering for keeping them open too long 'Didn’t I say not to do that.’ he reminded himself. The words now registering clearly he trembled slightly.

“I-I Uhh.. Okay?” Danny said, heart beating wildly, 'dear god please tell me I said it in English!’ he could swear the classroom heard the rapid beat in his chest- which actually wasn’t fast at all. (Cause he’s kinda dead.)

He averted his gaze aslight, until agent K. deeply, and affirmatively spoke, “Nevermind, sorry for the misunderstanding. Our technology has been bugged lately, there must be a glitch in the system again.” Giving a curt nod, K. began to walk away outside of the classroom, O. eyeing the boy instead gave a grunt and smoothly said, “I’ll keep an eye on you.” with that the boy shuddered watching the agent follow after his partner.

Sighing Mr. Lancer said, “Mr. Fenton, go back to your seat.” giving up on the boy. With a shy nod the raven teen walked back towards his desk, 'Last second coincidence much?’–

“Oomph-” the boy fell on the ground roughly, laughs bursted out again in the room, a certain blonde pointing at the raven haired victim of which was lying on the ground, 'I love my life..’ Danny mumbled giving up on himself too.

-Have you ever been tested, like, have a boyfriend tested you before?-

The question made both your friends look at you for a moment, you were sitting in the outside tables of a coffee shop, the three of you taking advantage that today was a beautiful day, not too sunny, not too cloudy and definitely not too humid for summer, so you decided to stay out as you drank coffee and ate some cakes and pastries. Anji was thinking the question over whilst Yuri snorted.

-I tested my ex one time-  Anji and you laughed. -I created a fake profile and added him on instagram, the cunt accepted me, so…- she sighed. -I got jealous before I could do anything else and it didn’t work out, but I don’t remember me being the one tested-

Anji sighed. -I suppose in school boys test us a lot, there’s the virginity thing and the “always look pretty thing” but I don’t know, why do you ask?-

-Yeah, trouble in paradise?-

You sighed too, taking a sip from your large mocha. -I guess us girls test boys a lot too… - you sighed again. -I don’t know-

-You should be careful- Yuri said. -You haven’t told us much about this guy, but, if you think he’s testing you then you should think about what you are doing- Anji nodded and you remained quiet as Yuri continued. -I mean, in what way is he testing you?-

You didn’t know what to answer, was he really testing you? You thought about the events in Russia like it was some sort of dream, he had put the fate of those brothers in your hands to test you, or didn’t he? But after all that was what you had asked for, you wanted to help and feel included and Yoongi had complied. Putting a hand over the spot where you had been shot you thought about what to answer, what had really been the test? You intervening in demons affairs or you being able to participate in a another’s human’s assassination?

-Is he making you do things you don’t want to?- Anji asked and now both your friends seemed to be more serious, staring at you waiting for an answer. For the whole time you had with Yoongi you had told them the minimum, only his name and a few disguised facts about him, definitely not enough for them to know how Yoongi really was.

You thought if that was what you wanted to do, if helping meant you taking human’s lives in swift motion, if sometimes you’d have to take the life of someone innocent like Andre for a pact that another made. That was unfair, even more when you knew it was reality.

-If that’s what is happening then you should reevaluate things with this Yoongi guy Y/N, if that’s what’s happening then he’s not good for you- Yuri said making you snap back to reality, you had been spacing out and you hadn’t answered to your friends.

You let out a little laugh shaking your head, you didn’t want their attention to be in Yoongi, you didn’t want to reevaluate your relationship with him as you were absolutely positive you loved him and wanted to be with him, but you sure did want to reevaluate how some things were going. -He’s just… he’s just really kinky- you giggled again, not entirely lying but of course you wouldn’t be telling your friends your boyfriend was a demon who murdered people and you were starting to get into that as well.

When’s The Wedding? / Conor Maynard

Request:  Can you do a conor imagine where he goes to the readers annual family dinner and they’re being really cute in private and their family tease them?

“Conor, babe, are you almost ready?” You asked, looking at your reflection on your full-length mirror.

“What shirt?” He asked, walking back into your shared bedroom.

You looked at the two shirts on his hands and pointed at the white one. He put it on quickly and you helped with the buttons, kissing his lips softly once you were finished.

“You really don’t have to go, you can go out with the boys.” You smiled.

“I missed it last year, they’re going to think I’m a bad boyfriend if I don’t go to this one.”

“They wouldn’t.”

“You look gorgeous, by the way.” He said as you were applying perfume to yourself.

You smiled at him through the mirror. “So do you. Do you have everything ready? Remember we’re staying at my parent’s for two days.”

“Yep, I know. Everything’s in the car, don’t worry.” He said, as you both started walking towards your front door. “Do you want me to drive?”

You nodded. “Please.”

Three hours later, you were entering your hometown, memories flooding your mind as you drove through the streets you had walked along thousands of times, for years. You didn’t get to go back as much as you wanted because you and Conor seemed to always be too busy, but once a year, you left a few days free of any activity for one special thing: the annual dinner. You never missed one and you weren’t planning on doing it any time soon, either.

It was something you had done your whole life, and even though some people may find it a bit tedious to sit at a table with your whole family, you absolutely loved it. You were always close to your family, even though it was a big one, you were all close and loved each other. There just was something about that night that always felt special, maybe it was your grandparents seeing all their sons, daughters and grandchildren all together or being able to see how everyone is building their lives year by year.

Two years ago, you decided to invite your boyfriend, Conor, to one and loved seeing him getting on so well with your family, it was like he became a part of it that night. Last year though, unluckily he couldn’t go because he was in America but to your surprise, everybody asked why he hadn’t come and the thought of your family caring so much for him warmed your heart. You were glad they loved him so much, because even from the start of your relationship, you knew you were going to fall for him, hard. And you did. You both did.

“Babe, we’re here.” Conor said as he parked the car, snapping you out of your thoughts. “Are you okay?” He asked, turning to you a bit.

“Yes.” You smiled. “Let’s go, I wanna see everyone already.” You said excitedly, making him chuckle.

“Well go on, I’m gonna get our things.” He kissed your cheek.

You got out of the car, running towards your parent’s house front door, knocking on it loudly out of pure excitement. Your mum was quick to open it and engulfing you in a tight hug and when she let go, you were quickly wrapped in your dad’s arms.

“How are you?” You asked them, letting go of your dad.

“We’re good, and you? Where’s Conor?” Your mum asked, her face radiating happiness.

“I’m here!” He answered, going to hug your mum and shaking hands with your dad.

“We’re good, too.” You smiled, as Conor placed his hand on your back.

“Well, come on. Everybody’s in the back.” Your dad said, and you nodded.

“We’re just gonna get our stuff to my room, first.”

Grabbing one of the bags Conor left on the floor by his feet, you started walking up the stairs, him following close behind. Once in your room you left the things on the bed and turned to look at him, a smile on your face as you caught him looking at himself in your old mirror. You walked to him and hugged him from behind, going on your tip toes to let your head rest on his shoulder so you could watch him through the mirror.

“Are you sure I look fine?” He asked. “Like, it’s stupid that I’m a bit worried because I already know them but, I don’t know.”

“You worry because you care, it’s okay.” You kissed his shoulder before standing in front of him. “You look fantastic, babe. Really, really handsome.” You pecked his lips.

Lacing your fingers with his you walked to the back yard, where your whole family cheered to say hi when they saw you two, and after greeting everyone and catching up a little bit with your cousins, you and Conor sat down at a little table with some of your uncles and aunts.

You smiled, watching Conor talk with your uncle about god knows what, seeing how he would listen carefully to what he was saying before answering with a smile or laughing, and even though he was almost turned all the way towards your uncle, his hand was on your thigh, his thumb drawing invisible shapes on it every now and then.

“That, right in your eyes, is a look of pure love, dear.” Your aunt said, leaning in to say it to your ear.

“Sometimes I just look at him and just think about how much I love him, is that weird?” You asked, making her laugh as she shook her head lightly.

“Not at all, sweetie. Happens to me all the time.” She smiled. “It’s like on a daily basis you don’t think of how much you love him and then when you realize is like, wow, I love this guy way more than I thought.”

“Exactly.” You laughed.

“Everyone, dinner’s ready!” Your mum yelled, taking some plates to the dinner table in the middle of the garden.

It took you all a few minutes to settle down, you were quite a few people and sitting almost seven children down for more than five seconds was quite the challenge, but somehow you managed to do it, and started eating.

“Do you want some of this, Rosie?” You heard Conor say, and you looked at him, only to find that your four year old niece was sitting comfortably in his lap.

“Yes, please.” She nodded.

“Rosie, come here, let Conor eat.” Your brother said.

“Oh, no. It’s okay, she isn’t bothering at all.” He answered quickly, making you smile.

“So Y/N, Conor, when’s the wedding?” Your other brother asked.

“What wedding?” You asked, confused.

“Yours, of course.” He answered and you blushed.

“Oh, I can just imagine my little girl walking down the aisle in a white dress, you’d look so beautiful. You’d make a gorgeous bride, honey?” Your mum said dreamily.

“Mum, please!” You said, not daring to look at Conor. “It’s too soon.”

“I proposed to your grandma after less than a year together, sweetheart. It’s love, it’s never too soon.” Your grandpa said, smiling. “Besides, I want to be there on your wedding day, and dance with you.”

You smiled and looked at Conor, who was smiling. He looked at you and you mouthed ‘sorry’ to him but he just shook his head and squeezed your hand a bit, letting you know it was okay.

“Yeah man, you just gotta pop the question.” Your brother said, looking at Conor.

You were sure you were as red as a tomato, how could you not be? You never really talked about the future with Conor, only once, and even though you were sure that you wanted to be with him for as long as you could, you didn’t know what he thought, so when he answered your brother you were surprised, his words making you melt inside completely.

“I will do it,” He smiled “I’m just having a hard time picking the ring.” He finished.

Hours later, you were both changing onto your pajamas, ready to go to bed. And even though you were tired, your mind was racing, his words playing over and over in your head. You brushed your teeth and got into bed, your head finding its usual place on Conor’s bare chest.

“Is it true?” You asked. “That you’re trying to pick a ring?” He hummed.

“I wouldn’t lie to your family.” He smiled. “I know I’m not supposed to tell you, but the words just flew out of my mouth.”

“Do you really want to spend the rest of my life with me?” You asked in awe.

“Can’t see myself with anyone else.” He kissed the top of your head. “Do you?”

“Of course.” You smiled. “Wait, this isn’t you proposing, right?” He laughed.

“No, I want it to be more special and something we won’t forget. I’m not gonna tell you when I plan on doing it.” You nodded. “So, we’re gonna get married, have an amazing honeymoon, have amazing sex,” You laughed “ have kids in a few years and grow old together, doesn’t sound bad, huh?”

“Not at all.” You kissed him. “Specially not the sex part.”

“Hmm, I know you would like that part, baby.” He smiled.
