The Very Comprehensive Deadpool Masterpost

The aim of this post is to introduce new fans to Deadpool’s comics and help you identify which collections, trade paperbacks and omnibus books Deadpool’s individual stories, issues and runs can be found in as well as which order to read them.

I will not be providing links to any pirated copies and would rather not recommend websites as prices will vary across the dozens of sites comics can be purchased from.

I have read every single issue on this list so if you have any questions or need any help please do feel free to ask me.

Main Deadpool Continuity & Reading Order

This is the bulk of the masterlist. Each of Deadpool’s main books and stories are listed below in the order which they should be read from the very beginning all the way up to, and including, his current shenanigans.
I have marked a few recommended starting points so if you do not wish to tackle the entire list there should be a starting point which suits you.

Deadpool: The Circle Chase (1993) #1 - #4
This is Deadpool’s first ever solo miniseries. It introduces Weasel, Vanessa and themes which crop up throughout the rest of Deadpool’s runs.
-Collected in; Deadpool Classic Vol. 1
or Deadpool: Beginnings Omnibus
or Deadpool The Adamantium Collection
or Deadpool & X-Force Omnibus

Deadpool: Sins of the Past (1994) #1 - #4
Deadpool’s second miniseries explores Deadpool’s relationship with his past and teases his origins.
-Collected in; Deadpool Classic Vol. 1
or Deadpool: Beginnings Omnibus
or Deadpool & X-Force Omnibus

Deadpool (1997) #-1 - #69 [A Recommended Starting Point]
This was Deadpool’s first ongoing and it ran from 1997 to 2002. Plot elements from his first and second miniseries are picked up and expanded upon here. Several writers contributed to this series, most notably Joe Kelly, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Gail Simone.
-Collected in; Deadpool Classic Vol. 1 - Vol. 9
or Deadpool by Joe Kelly Omnibus & Deadpool Classic Omnibus Vol. 1

Agent X (2002) #1 - #15
After Deadpool (1997) ended his book was replaced by a new, similar character who shares Deadpool’s supporting cast from his last 5 issues. Deadpool returns in the final 3 issues of this series.
-Collected in; Deadpool Classic Vol. 9 & Vol. 10
or Deadpool Classic Omnibus Vol. 1

Cable & Deadpool (2004) #1 - #50 [A Recommended Starting Point]
Characters from Agent X (2002) make an appearance throughout this series which is written by Deadpool’s co-creator Fabian Nicieza. Deadpool’s relationship with Cable is one of the most loved in comics and Cable is scheduled to appear in Deadpool 2. This is a big, thematic book exploring heroism and the bigger picture.

or 3 Deadpool & Cable Ultimate Collection books

Deadpool Annual (2013) #1
Although this was released in 2013 the first half of the story explains the origin of the white caption box which makes its appearance throughout Deadpool (2008). The second half of the story leads into Deadpool (2012) so it may be worth revisiting this issue before you start that series.
-Collected in; Deadpool: The Wedding of Deadpool
or Deadpool: The Ones With Deadpool
or Deadpool Classic Vol. 18: Deadpool vs. Marvel

Deadpool (2008) #1 - #63
This is the book which was being published when Deadpool exploded into the phenomenon he is today. notes: Can be read alongside Deadpool (2012) although there is very little crossover. The series ends before Deadpool (2012) Original Sin.

7-Deadpool

7. “At least we’re not Harley Quin and the Joker level insane.”

You holstered your two guns back onto your hips. Smirking, you made your way over to the man in a red and black suit with white eyes. He glanced up from his mangled position.

“Done already?” he asked you.
You nodded. “Sure am. Need any help there?”

He groaned as his body mended himself, allowing him to lay on his back. Under his mask, he smirked at you, his significant other.

“You are such a badass!” he complimented, “I mean, I left you with 30 guys.”
“35,” you shrugged, “Besides, I’m dating the most insane person in the world. I have to keep up somehow.”
“Yeah, but I’m your insane person,” he replied cheekily, “And you my insane person.”
You chuckled. “More like you rubbed off on me, Wade.”

You reached out a hand, seeing that his one leg had healed, and pulled his arm around your shoulders. You noticed your costumed boyfriend looking to his left.

“What’s my line again, author lady? Oh yeah.” He turned back to you. “At least we’re not Harley Quin and the Joker level insane.
You smirked and patted his chest. “I’d say we’re up there. You always end up mangled somehow.”
“Kinda my thing.”

You smirked as you led your boyfriend back toward your third stolen vehicle. Deadpool glanced over his shoulder.

“Actually, I stole it. I just like to blame Y/N for fun. Oh! Did you bold my line? You can’t leave your readers without the bolded line, lady.”

You snapped your fingers in front of him.

“Rude of you for making them do that.”

“Wade,” you called, catching his attention, “Are you okay?”

He mumbled something about authors, but you didn’t quite catch the whole thing. You shrugged before getting in the car.

March of the Champs

I made another art! This time of my top 10 all-time favorite characters from fiction. If y’all need a list, here ya go (In order from greatest to least):

1: Vash the Stampede (Trigun)
He’s a bad-ass gunman with a bounty on his head, but he’s a warrior for love and peace… That and he loves doughnuts. A man after my own heart.

2: Kamina (Gurren Lagann)
Usually, I don’t care for the sage advice kinda characters, but this guy was just a bad-ass dork while doing all that. I think that comes from the fact that he feels like the big brother we all wish we could have, otherwise Simon wouldn’t have called him “Bro” all the time.

3: Ruby Rose (RWBY)
Short, simple, and sweet answer: If it’s wrong to be in love with a fictional character, then I don’t wanna be right.

4: Marco Diaz (Star vs. The Forces of Evil)
Short, simple, and sweet answer: This guy is my f***in’ spirit animal, anytime he’s on screen, I see a half-Latino smol bean version of myself.

5: Ryuko Matoi (Kill la Kill)
One, she’s strong AF. Two, she don’t need no man (In fact, last time I checked, I think she was a lesbian, and I’ma keep that head cannon goin’). Three, She’s just an all around bad-ass with good character growth.

6: Natsuki Subaru (Re:ZERO)
Something about this character reminds me of Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, a guy who will take any angle when faced with a roadblock, and constantly try and find a way to fix his current situation until he reaches “victory”… I’ll show myself out.

7: Deadpool (Marvel)
Short, simple, and sweet answer: It’s mother-f***ing Deadpool god-dammit.

8: Nostalgia Critic (Youtube/Channel Awesome)
He counts! He’s this funny-as-all-hell cynic of a movie critic who actually is rather thought provoking these days. Every video, he either gets me thinking about things, or laughing my ass off… or both.

9: Stanley Pines (Gravity Falls)
Easily the most complex character to me in all of GF, and the funniest as well. He’s just this con-artist great-uncle looking to try and bring his brother back, and make a few bucks

10: Asuka Langley Soryu (Evangelion)
Usually, I f***ing hate tsunderes, but this one really works for me. I think it’s just because of how broken she is… I don’t wanna say it’s therapeutic for me, but s therapeutic for me to see a tsundere suffer. That and she’s a strong-as-hell female he pilots a giant robot… BAD-ASS.

I might make another one soon, as I wanted to do more, but that’s for another time.

【Cablepool】Over Stage Fright

Do you remember how much Deadpool used to freak out about people looking at him if he were not wearing his mask? He called the mask his face

and when Zoe and Monty had something important to tell him

He teleported away and didn’t hear them. Deadpool was always like this until that night. Cable found him, they fought a little and Nate ends up talking with Wade without the mask. Nate didn’t even flinch about his face

It was the first time Deadpool talked with someone barefaced without feeling panic

They were talking all night until morning

Deadpool went back where Zoe and Monty were

Over Our Stage Fright, are we?

*See that smile? - keep it in mind

From that point on, Deadpool never cares about being unmasked in front of Nathan, he still doesn’t like to be barefaced but he doesn’t freak out like before.

One of the things I like more about Cablepool is that Nathan accepts, likes and loves Wade they way he is

Deadpool doesn’t have to try being different with him because Nathan knows both sides of life, he has live them. Nothing is Black & White, it’s all shades of Grey

*Remember the smile? A peaceful, happy, sincere one

An expression that represents what Nate makes Wade feel, a feeling that represents what I like about them being toguether ღ
If Wade can break the fourth wall, sure he can break the bigger one and appreciate that true love and happiness are beyond matter and body. When you do, you feel you lack nothing.

“Shh, she’s asleep,” a low whispered woke you up from your sleep, but your eyes remained shut. A shift on the bed indicated intruders, so you peeked through the covers. Sure enough, there was little Logan, his brown hair fluffed up from sleep.

“Daddy, don’t wake her up!” Logan tried his best to whisper, but the sternness in his voice came out loud. So you pretended to stir in your sleep, flipping around onto your side.

“Kiddo, you’re going to blow this. Just like I blew up those dozens of-”

“Wade!” You sat up quickly, throwing the blankets off your body.
