dead lion

More “wtf are humans, please leave the rest of us be” stuff:

Human reactions to fear!

No, I’m not talking about screaming or freezing in one spot and pissing yourself. I’m talking about the weirder, more specific-to-only-humans fear reactions.

Like singing.

Idk how many of you have watched people play horror video games, but a surprising amount of people start narrating what’s going on in a sing-song voice.

Imagine being an alien, walking in a horrific, dark tunnel with these weird gangly creatures, you’re all scared out of your wits and then one of them starts fucking singing.

In a dark cave. While everyone’s terrified.

“ ♫ ~We are all gonna fucking die, this is terrible and I wanna go hooooome~ ♬ ”

Like hell the red lion is gonna let keith go so easily

bonus: black paladin, out. *throws double peace signs*

I was thinking of Blue Paladin Keith
  • Keith: Okay girl so let's just try to get along and-
  • Blue: You hurt my boy and I'll destroy you
  • Keith:
  • Keith:
  • Keith:
  • Keith: ...What?
  • Blue: It wouldn't even be that hard, you are like a baby
How to Draw Tundras 101

Step 1:
Draw a Lion

Step 2:
Draw a better Lion

Step 3:
Realize for some reason you need to make this Lion a Giant Lizard instead
(embiggen him)

Step 4:
Lighten, because no way in hell do you want to redraw that from scratch

Step 5:
?????? Tundra on top???

Step 6:
BAM

Now go forth, and draw needlessly large and floofy Paw-Hand Lizards

“Lar’s Head” Preview WARNING SPOILERS

*CONTAINS SPOILERS*

You guys… the leak was right. Lars actually died… wow. Steven revived him with his healing powers:

And he turned pink.

Lars now also has powers like Lion’s- his hair is a room that can be entered:

This gives more insight to the origins of Lion. Lion must have just been a dead lion, Rose revived it and it turned pink and its mane became a room that could be entered and have stuff stored in it.

EDIT: By the way, Steven revived Lars with his tears, not his spit. And apparently this is different, hence why they brought an organic life form back from the dead and why his tears had no effect on Amethyst’s cracked gem because they are not for healing, they are for reviving organic life.

Meanwhile at a Burger King somewhere in the galaxy
  • Zarkon, slamming his fists on the counter: Give me the Black Lion!
  • Manager, dead inside: I'm sorry sir we're all out of black lion toys, please stop before we have to call the cops
  • Shiro, rolling by in a mini-van full of Black Lion toys, yelling out the window: You can't command the Burger King, you have to earn his trust!
Season 3 Theory/Speculation

So in the season 3 trailer, we see a close up on Keith’s eyes. And my klance thirsty head has made a klangsty speculation.

So clearly he has seen something happen. It is hard to tell if it is just pure rage or fear. By the looks of it is fear, (the wrinkles around his eyes). Also note that there is red light, which could indicate he is inside the red lion.

After this scene, we see both the yellow and blue lions spinning out of control, for the sake of this “speculation” we are going to say they were hit by something that caused them to get knocked back.

As we can see, the yellow lion is crashing into the red lion, which could easily slow down the yellow lion as it is moving.

But the blue lion doesn’t stop.

Looking at the blue lion’s movements, it is very similar to when we see it crash, but I’ll get to that in one tick.

In a previous shot, we see a wormhole, and what appears to be a ship going through it.

Coran looks shocked, but it looks like he knows what’s happening. Kind of like an “Oh my god. Did that actually just happen?” posture.

Right after this, we see the blue lion crashing in some sort of debris field or foggy planet? Either way, the blue lion is crashing.

Now, taking an observation to how the lion is crashing, it looks very similar to how it was rotating when we see it by the yellow and blue lion. I think all of these scenes are connected.

Something hits both the yellow and blue lion, assuming Lance is the one in the blue lion (This is going with Jeremy’s comment that Lance supposedly “dies”).

If Lance is in blue, Keith is in red. Which can be supported by the red lights, all though many other things can cause that lighting.

Keith is angry at whatever they are fighting, but his eyes shrink when he sees both Lance and Hunk get hit, and Lance flying towards the enemy ships wormhole.

Coran saw what happened and was shocked.

The blue lion goes through the wormhole and crashes. I am pretty sure that is Jeremy Shada’s comment on Lance dying was hinting at the fact that the team thought Lance might be dead because the Lion is offline and they might not be able to find its coordinates??? Whatever the reason, they think he may be dead.

I don’t know… Just a speculation at this point lmao. Probably not what happened but I can dream of the angst.

Edit: Adding a bit on to this. If the team does take into consideration that Lance may be dead, Keith especially is going to be messed up because, first, Shiro, then Lance. I think that itself is pretty self-explanatory though…

The Wit of PG Wodehouse

“Unseen in the background, Fate was quietly slipping lead into the boxing-glove.”

“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.”

“She looked away. Her attitude seemed to suggest that she had finished with him, and would be obliged if somebody would come and sweep him up.”

“Marriage is not a process for prolonging the life of love, sir. It merely mummifies its corpse.”

“The fascination of shooting as a sport depends almost wholly on whether you are at the right or wrong end of the gun.”

“A melancholy-looking man, he had the appearance of one who has searched for the leak in life’s gas-pipe with a lighted candle.”

“Everything in life that’s any fun, as somebody wisely observed, is either immoral, illegal or fattening.”

“As for Gussie Fink-Nottle, many an experienced undertaker would have been deceived by his appearance and started embalming on sight.”

“This is a bit steep, Jeeves!”
“Approaching the perpendicular, sir.”

“Freddie experienced the sort of abysmal soul-sadness which afflicts one of Tolstoy’s Russian peasants when, after putting in a heavy day’s work strangling his father, beating his wife, and dropping the baby into the city’s reservoir, he turns to the cupboards, only to find the vodka bottle empty.”

“I’m not absolutely certain of the facts, but I rather fancy it’s Shakespeare who says that it’s always just when a fellow is feeling particularly braced with things in general that Fate sneaks up behind him with the bit of lead piping.”

“There is enough sadness in life without having fellows like Gussie Fink-Nottke going about in sea boots.”

“A slight throbbing about the temples told me that this discussion had reached saturation point.”

“At the age of eleven or thereabouts women acquire a poise and an ability to handle difficult situations which a man, if he is lucky, manages to achieve somewhere in the later seventies.”

“This was not Aunt Dahlia, my good and kindly aunt, but my Aunt Agatha, the one who chews broken bottles and kills rats with her teeth.”

“Like so many cows, it lacked sustained dramatic interest.”

“It was one of those cases where you approve the broad, general principle of an idea but can’t help being in a bit of a twitter at the prospect of putting it into practical effect. I explained this to Jeeves, and he said much the same thing had bothered Hamlet.”

“He had the look of one who had drunk the cup of life and found a dead beetle at the bottom.”

“Out on the course each morning you could see the representatives of every nightmare style that was ever invented. There was the man who seemed to be attempting to deceive his ball and lull it into a false security by looking away from it and then making a lightning slash in the apparent hope of catching it off its guard. There was the man who wielded his mid-iron like one killing snakes. There was the man who addressed his ball as if he were stroking a cat, the man who drove as if he were cracking a whip, the man who brooded over each shot like one whose heart is bowed down by bad news from home, and the man who scooped with his mashie as if he were ladling soup.”

“He had just about enough intelligence to open his mouth when he wanted to eat, but certainly no more.”

“What ho!” I said.
“What ho!” said Motty.
“What ho! What ho!”
“What ho! What ho! What ho!”
After that it seemed rather difficult to go on with the conversation.

“She looked as if she had been poured into her clothes and had forgotten to say ‘when’.”

“I always advise people never to give advice.”

“If there is one thing I dislike, it is the man who tries to air his grievances when I wish to air mine.”

“It was one of those parties where you cough twice before you speak and then decide not to say it after all.”

“I know I was writing stories when I was five. I don’t know what I did before that. Just loafed, I suppose.”

“If he had a mind, there was something on it.”

“The voice of Love seemed to call to me, but it was a wrong number.”

“Jeeves lugged my purple socks out of the drawer as if he were a vegetarian fishing a caterpillar out of his salad.”

“The fascination of shooting as a sport depends almost wholly on whether you are at the right or wrong end of the gun.”

“He resembled a minor prophet who had been hit behind the ear with a stuffed eel-skin.”

“I don’t suppose she would recognize a deep, beautiful thought if you handed it to her on a skewer with tartare sauce.”

“Before my eyes he wilted like a wet sock.”

“There are moments, Jeeves, when one asks oneself 'Do trousers matter?’ ”
“The mood will pass, sir.”

“I have no doubt that you could have flung bricks by the hour in England’s most densely populated districts without endangering the safety of a single girl capable of becoming Mrs. Augustus Fink-Nottle without an anaesthetic.”

“It was a confusion of ideas between him and one of the lions he was hunting in Kenya that had caused A. B. Spottsworth to make the obituary column. He thought the lion was dead, and the lion thought it wasn’t.”

On the topic of mermaids in Narnia:

ok so, the mermaids fight with them against the white witch, right? They break out of the water, out of ice, bring tridents and song and death and they decimate the white witch’s army and Susan fights with them, hair bound together, bow secure in her hands, trembling and terrified for her siblings, who are eight and nine, who are traitor and messiah, who are children with a knife and a sword and fear in their hearts

One of the mermaids, a young one, who wears ice and teeth and fish turned to stone, gets dragged out of the water, and Susan shoots the dwarf trying to tear into her.

so when they are crowned, the mermaid stands in front of them, hair dripping wet, blank rope around her neck, teeth as sharp as Aslan’s roar and she offers to join their court

They accept and soon, she’s Susan’s lady in waiting

they train together, fight together, put on lipstick just the shade of fresh blood the colour of their enemies, pick out dresses, organise events

they never leave each other’s sides
and when susan gains suitors, the mermaid stands in the corner, eyes hard and cold and lipstick as red as oxygen rich blood that flows out of men’s throats, teeth sharp
those who do not let themselves be scared away, she accepts

her queen deserves nothing but a man who will not be afraid of her, deserves nothing less than a man just as terrifying as they are

and susan likes the attention

she never falls in love with them, she befriends them, likes them, enjoys their minds

But in the end, her mermaid is most important to her, and suitors are needed for politics

when the pevensies find the lamppost again, she grows quiet and sad and furious
when the telmarines attack, she flees - to england, to her queen

but she comes out in 1949, when susan has forgotten, when the kings and queen of old are dead and gone, when her queen is just a broken girl who doesn’t know how to piece her life back together

They manage, in the end, and susan remembers, but the mermaid will forever ache for narnia, who has died, for her tail that will never be again, for a wild lion

They had children, in Narnia, because the mermaid is trans, and they celebrate their birthdays still

they fight at stonewall, fight for their rights, for their people, for the mermaid, for susan, for edmund, who was convicted of public indecency before the accidents

They have children and when hormonal transition is a thing, the mermaid does, but she never gets ‘the op’

She is a woman, was a woman in narnia and is a woman now

surgery does not change that

She is rather silent, but in her silence, she’s terrifying and demands respect, a bit like the sea, that is pretty and beautiful and mesmerizing but you can never forget how dangerous it is

She sometimes forgets that she’s human now

she still snarls, sometimes, still thinks there are five rows of teeth in her mouth and strength in her fin that legs will never have, that she can still sing, that death is still under her fingertips
