dead bot

Things that are Known and Accepted in the ARMS universe but never Questioned:

  • There are ninjas and a Ninja College/University
  • One ninja decides to join an international sports competition as his Senior Project
  • People aren’t born with ARMS but instead just ‘wake up’ one day and have them
  • One boy decides to join an international sports competition after he wakes up with them and says “I was shocked at first, but they’re pretty rad.”
  • Nobody knows where ARMS originated or why people get them and any attempts at trying to figure it out are thwarted by an invisible force
  • An international corporation accidentally creates a synthetic being while trying to solve this mystery
  • The synthetic being decides to join an international sports competition
  • A long dead man wakes up as a un-dead mummy
  • The un-dead mummy decides to join an international sports competition to try and find his lost (and assumed also dead) family
  • There are security bots that have robot dog companions
  • A security bot and his robot dog companion decide to join an international sports competition as a single fighter and it’s allowed
  • An A-List actress decides to join an international sports competition using her hair as ARMS
  • Snakeboarding
  •  A Snakeboarder decides to join an international sports competition that isn’t Snakeboarding to increase the viewership of his live-streams
  •  Snakeboarding live-streams
  • A young girl genius builds a mech-suit for the purpose of joining an international sports competition like her favorite pop-star idol
  • One of the competitors in an international sports competition is a pop idol singer
  • A girl with noodle ARMS decides join an international sports competition to promote her parents’ ramen shop

I’m such a sucker for Tony falling asleep in the lab. And the bots trying to “tuck him in”–putting a blanket on him, all of that.

Of course, their fumbling and bumping around immediately wakes him up but he pretends to still be asleep because it makes them so happy, and eventually he genuinely does fall back asleep, so calm and relaxed in his lab, surrounded by his robots.

I was playing TFTBL again today and at one point I had Rhys ask Vasquez how he keeps finding him on Pandora and Vasquez said something really interesting:

Vasquez: Rhys, you’re Hyperion property. Never forget that.

Then, when Jack is pleading for you to side with him he says:

Jack: let me get into your subsystems.

As well, when you first talk to Jack he says “don’t wet yourself you’ll fry something down there”.

Early on Vaughn makes a comment that since Jack’s been dead, the loader bots have been getting smarter.

So needless to say, I’m wondering if Rhys is actually human.

He’s Hyperion property, Rhys doesn’t argue this fact. Plus even before Rhys uses Nakayama’s security clearance, Yvette tells him they’re looking for something in Rhys’s head. Not to mention, what job does Vasquez give Rhys at the beginning? Janitor. There are zero human janitors on Helios. That act is preformed by the various robots up there. Plus, he’s able to access various data terminals and use his ECHOeye and I might be wrong but I haven’t seen other characters with that ability, plus Jack can upgrade him AND physically take control as when Jack uses Rhys body to slap Sasha’s ass.

I think Rhys is a synthetic. I think he was one of Hyperion projects to create an robotic working force that would be obedient and unquestioning of Jack, or Hyperion, authority and survive various dangers and hazards. I think Vaughn, is either his handler (or Bro) or another synthetic created by Hyperion.

This also leaves me wondering if Rhys, if he was a synthetic, if he was designed for another purpose and that was to be an artificial siren (going with the tattoos) because only sirens can charge the Vault keys, but what if synthetics like Rhys could do it in much shorter period of time?

R realistic
H humanoid
Y yielding (throw up your own suggestion if you want)
S siren

One last thing!

Rule #1 of the loader bots: Jack is god.

Can you draw Baby and Ennard having some bonding time?

I’d say they’re definitely having some bonding time haha! I’m going to hell for that aren’t I

ok i have a lot of feelings about Heatwave and after going back and rewatching the entirety of tfp AFTER getting really into rescue bots i feel like i need to make a post abt why Heatwave is a far better Prime candidate than either Bee or Smokescreen

i’m sure people have talked abt this before but rather than highlighting why those two are bad choices i want to go into depth on why Heatwave is the Better candidate.

if u don’t want to read the whole thing it’s basically

1) heatwave has experience leading

2) optimus prime himself thinks that heatwave is a good leader

3) heatwave can recognize that he is not perfect & makes mistakes, and can atone for/fix those mistakes readily, but still has confidence in his ability

4) on post-war cybertron, autobots and decepticons will have to re-integrate and I feel that Heatwave is up to the challenge

more under cut

20,000 followers – Thank You!

I reached the 20K follower milestone today.  Not that I fixate on numbers like that, but each time I reach another 5K increment, I use it as a chance to reflect a bit on things.

First, I’m humbled by the appreciation.  Yes, I know it doesn’t cost anything to follow someone, and most people forget who they’re following anyway.  And I’m sure some of the 20,000 have abandoned their accounts, are dead, or just internet bots.  (But they’re just as important to me…. : ))  And yes, I know some tumblr blogs have hundreds of thousands of followers.  But I’ll never be one of them, and don’t really care.

For those of you interested, I’ve updated my site to include a page of answers to Frequently Asked Questions, plus some questions & topics I really wish people would write to me about.  And I added a page of some of my favorite tumblr sites.

What I like most about tumblr is sharing images and tastes, and reading comments & notes that are interesting, imaginative, thoughtful, and funny.  (And if you haven’t already seen it, please check out my other site where I post and reblog some of my favorite pictures of other people, –mainly women – and display my taste in femininity).

I almost always respond to messages, unless someone just writes ‘Hi’ or ‘Hey babe’.  That’s like hearing some guy cat calling to you on the street, and you just want to walk on by without noticing him.  But if you want to message me with a question, please look at my FAQ page first – you just might see the answer you’re seeking.

Anyway, thanks very much from the bottom of my heart, especially to some of you who write really great messages.
