This striped skunk had one heck of a bad tooth! Upper canine tooth was rotting and caused an infection in the bone all the way up into its sinuses. Poor critter also showed signs of having nematodes in its upper sinuses too.
💕So I fell in love with this little articulated chameleon today! Just look at his cute lil tail curl💕
Hello! I work for my school’s natural history collections so I understand all the laws and have all the permits I need to care for my dead things. This piece is not a personal collection piece, but the schools.
Apparently this five-lined skink was trying to crawl through one of the holes in the top of this cow skull hanging on my shed when it got stuck and died there. Poor little critter. I tried to pull it out but it’s wedged in there tight and wouldn’t budge a bit.
First time I’ve ever seen a skull kill something before.
Been messing around with ideas for enamel pins.. even though I could never afford to get these made into pins ;-; I will, however, be making them into prints, stickers and possibly patches - as well as continuing the series with other animal skulls! All will be made available through my etsy shop in the near future :0
The skulls are a tiger, chinese water deer and a bearded dragon.
I found a moose skull today outside the horses’ pasture! Apparently the neighbour who lived there before liked hunting and then threw the discarded heads onto the barn owners lands… for thirty years or so. She told me it was ok for me to take the skull home and I want to but idk what to do with it, or how to clean it… help??
