If you were to tell me five years ago that Zach Galifianakis would make a good Joker, I would’ve thought you were stoned out of your mind. Nothing against him, but that would’ve been such a random choice for the Joker.
He does the Joker justice. At least, for the universe he’s in.
What made this relationship special for me is how tender these two are always with each other and the way they showed their vulnerable side to one another. When it comes to seeking solace, empathy and understanding, Clark and Diana would often turn to each other. It speaks about the level of trust and love they shared, be it as best friends or lovers.
“As we looked through the comics, there was this fascinating idea that Batman’s presence in Gotham actually attracts criminals to Gotham, attracts lunacy. When you’re dealing with questionable notions like people taking the law into their own hands, you have to really ask, where does that lead? That’s what makes the character so dark, because he expresses a vengeful desire.” — Christopher Nolan
What I want to know is, Who the hell is responsible for naming the Al-Ghuls family at DC??
You got Damian Wayne/Al-Ghul whose first name is Greek for “To Tame”.
And then Talia Al-Ghul whose name has Hebrew origins meaning “Dew from God”.
Not to mention her mother Melisande Al-Ghul whose name is obviously French for “Strength”.
Also Nyssa Al-Ghul whose name is Scandinavian for “Fairy”.
and the only son Dusan Al-Ghul whose name is derived from the Slavic noun Duša, “Soul”.
The only one who actually has an Arabic name is Ra’s Al-Ghul whose first name literally means “Head” in Arabic, The only one in an Arabic family to have an Arabic name and it’s as stupid as “Head”?? @People At DC, You do realize that Arabic is the 5th most spoken language in the world right?? isn’t that more than enough sources for you to find better names??
i was scrolling through the time drake tag and i came across this AU where it talked about the possibility that Bruce lost all his wealth// didn’t inherited WE and so he doesn’t have the funding but he’s still Batman anyways??
yea i found that AU super interesting so i drew up my own interpretation of Tim in this AU (if you guys know the source of the AU then send me an ask so i can link back to the person!)
I’m doing Jason next! also click through for captions
Cass sat on the floor of the cave, legs in a near split as she stretched first leaning to her left, then center, then her right. Continuing her stretches she hummed under her breath, some song from a musical Harper introduced her to. Dead girl walking? No, that wasn’t it’s name. Cass didn’t really care, she liked the song and would be putting on her own playlist soon enough so she continued to hum. Out of the corner of her eye she caught Bruce walking towards her. She grinned at him and fluidly got to her feet, “Hi. Spar?”
Bruce shook his head and smiled at her, “Only if you want to.”
Cass tilted her head to the side in consideration before shrugging, “Was going to dance.”
Bruce nodded and turned to walk away. Cass skipped to her speakers and put on “Angel of Music” to start slow pirouettes across the floor she had cleared of mats. She was startled to see Bruce had pulled one of the office chairs from the computer over and had planted himself in front of her mini dance floor.
She stopped her spins and stared at him. “What? Don’t you have a case?”
Bruce shrugged, “I’d rather watch my daughter practice her ballet.”
Cass felt her cheeks redden as she grinned. Giving a curt nod she walked back to the speakers, toggling through her phone she finally found the one she was looking for, “A Heart Full of Love” from Les Miserable. Starting in one corner of the floor she moved gracefully back and forth with series of turns and leaps, plies and arabesques. The song faded and she took her bow to Bruce’s lone applause, grinning from ear to ear.
“Wonderful. I’ve been meaning to ask you, do you need new shoes? Alfred mentioned he thought your pointe shoes were looking a little ragged.”
Cass walked over and sat herself on the floor next to him, leaning her back against his legs. “There is a pair I’ve been… eyeing?” She looked up and Bruce nodded that she was right so she continued, “But I don’t need them.”
“If you want them Cass they’re yours, understood?”
Cass wrapped her arms around his shins, “Thank you.” Bruce smiled down at his daughter, his amazingly kind and talented daughter who they were all lucky to have.
