A video showing Raven calling Xii back to her when idling. It provides an interesting contrast with Kat and Dusty, who have a different dynamic. Xii, at least to some extent, seems to recognize Raven as its master. Dusty on the other hand acts like a typical cat would, meaning he won’t necessarily listen to Kat, often leading to comical situations. For example, in one of the Gravity Days comics, we see Dusty running away from Kat mid-flight to chase a balloon, causing Kat to lose her shifting power and crash into Aujean’s ice cream stand.
I was hoping we would learn more about Xii in the Ark of Time DLC. Throughout both games, we only ever see him talk to Raven once, when he tells Raven that it was “out of character” for her to lose to Kat intentionally during their mining competition. As such, this idling animation is actually one of the very few things in the game that tell us something about Xii’s character.
The combat of Gravity Rush (also known as Gravity Daze in Japan) ultimately works to continuously reinforce the hectic freedom that comes with the player’s primary ability- changing gravity and floating through the air. By pushing the player to hit enemies with directed “gravity kicks” as well as throwing objects at targets, the game is also pushing them to embrace that chaotic ability, and learn how to direct it as best they can.
Hi my name is Kuroha Snake of Clearing Eyes and I have short black ebony hair (that's how I got my name) with no streaks and pet snakes that crawl all over my mid back and striking yellow eyes like limpid piss and a lot of people tell me I look like Konoha. (AN: if u don't know who he is get da hell out of here!). I'm not related to Haruka Kokonose but I wish I was because he's a major fucking hottie. I'm a snake but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. I'm also a murderer, and I send kids to a magical place called the Heat Haze Daze in Japan where they can stay for years. (Some of them are twelve). I'm a goth (In case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black T-shirt with a matching collar around my neck and a black pair of pants, yellow dots on my face and black combat boots. I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner, and red eyeshadow. I was walking outside the Daze. It was snowing and there were crows so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. The Mekakushi Dan was staring at me. I put up my middle finger at them.
You know the ending to that “ghost” sidequest in Gravity Rush 2? That distortion in the 2nd screenshot just as Kat looks behind her, in particular in the location Kat and Dusty are looking, is kind of odd. It’s only there for one frame before it disappears. While I think what we’re seeing is in part the game’s motion blur effect, I’m not sure if this is entirely unintentional. And if it’s a coincidence, it’s certainly rather fitting.
I’m downloading the VR Music Festival app now, along with the “Premium Musical Notes” video. The “Musical Notes” video is a regular 2 hour recording of the Game Symphony Japan 23rd Concert. The VR Music Festival is a VR experience showing the same concert, but it’s only 30 minutes.
