I’ve attended the Saturday (10/17) night theater performance seeing my future love hubby James Maslow in Sherlock Holmes in Hollywood. And I enjoyed watching my talented FB response man/hubby. In scenes that he had to sit down, I had pictured myself being as a couple (when or if it’s possible for James to fall in love with a non-famous ordinary girl,) that I was sitting on his lap for a short Filipino girl with my arms wrapped around his neck.

One of my favorite movie series 🎥📱🔪🔫 #scream #movies #horror #ghostface #scream2 #scream3 #scream4 #scre4m #wescraven #90s #thriller #crime #mystery #nevecampbell #courtneycox #davidarquette #drewbarrymore #sarahmichellegellar #emmaroberts #haydenpanettiere #1996 #2011

'Scream 4' REVIEW

FILM DETAILS: Certificate 15 Director Wes Craven Starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette Running Time 111 mins

SYNOPSIS: Ten years have passed since the previous instalment and Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has recuperated enough to write a self-help book and is back in Woodsboro on the last leg of her book tour. Dewey Riley (David Arquette) is now the Sheriff and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), is now Gale Riley. Sidney’s presence bring’s about the return of the Ghostface killer…and this time it is being broadcast live on the internet.

MY THOUGHTS: An enthralling opening sequence that grabs the audience’s attention. Writer, Kevin Williamson and horror master Wes Craven clearly created another captivating plot, leaving you guessing at who the killer/killers might be until the end. Surprisingly gory for a 15 certificate. The original cast are joined by some newbies, namely Rory Culkin, Hayden Panettiere and Emma Roberts who impress. There are some genuinely tense, edge of your seat moments. I guarantee you won’t guess who the killer/killers are with the many red-herrings thrown in! This is not a polished horror by any means with some flaws, the usual instances of people walking off on their own…but it is an enjoyable horror movie nonetheless with some updated and improved murders. Gripping at times, if you have the opportunity, watch it in the Cinema.

NEXT FILM: See Neve Campbell next in ‘Vivaldi’, a biography of Antonio Vivaldi’s early life. You can see Courteney Cox in the comedy series 'Cougar Town’, about a recently divorced woman attempting to find excitement in her dating life. David Arquette can be seen in 'Conception’.

RECOMMENDATIONS: I’ll definately recommend 'Scream’ and 'Scream 2’, we’ll forget that 'Scream 3’ exists, so just ignore that. Both the original and sequel still hold up well. I won’t recommend 'Friends’ with Courteney Cox as that would be ridiculous, so try 'Cougar Town’. 'The Craft’ with Neve Campbell and 'Never Been Kissed’ for David Arquette (It was the best I could find…or '3000 Miles to Graceland’).

“Welcome home, Sidney. You’re a survivor, aren’t you, Sidney? What good is it to be a survivor when everyone close to you is dead? You can’t save them. All you can do…is watch.”
