Similarities between Quentin Tarantino and Wes Anderson

1. Last two films were period pieces
2. Pasty white boys
3. Production designer David Wasco
4. Weird fashion sense (flood pants, suspicious jogger, etc)
5. Gay mannerisms
6. Harvey Keitel
7. Both worked with or banged members of the Coppola family
8. Soundtracks worth purchasing
9. Unbearable fanbases
10. If they worked together you’d pretty much end up with the Coen Brothers.

‘Pulp Fiction’ (1994)

Production Designer: David Wasco

(Rampart 2011; Inglorious Bastards 2009; Kill Bill: Vol. 2 2004; Kill Bill: Vol.1 2003; The Royal Tenenbaums 2001; Heist 2001; Rushmore 1998; Jackie Brown 1997; Reservoir Dogs 1992; Twister 1989)

According to David Wasco, Pulp Fiction’s production designer, director Quentin Tarantino ’wanted something that’d be dreamier than a Planet Hollywood or Hard Rock Cafe. He wanted it to be this eye-popping thing in the beginning of the movie that the audience would try to ferret out and go to in L.A. The city was one of the characters in the film — even though it’s the underbelly.’
