The moral is that ignorance in any of these three fields can be damaging. Just as the modern physicist has to know some mathematics, so must the modern psychologist, but the psychologist must also be familiar with computation and have a clear idea of its abilities, its limitations, the fruitful ways in which to think about processes and, most importantly, what it takes to understand these processes.
