Dave has no idea how to end a conversation. I mean, I knew he just never shut the fuck up, but i’m trying to tally the number of conversations and in acts 1-4, and dave has had like, 8, total. cause whenever someone else says goodbye he just keeps talking at them until they eventually come back instead of actually signing out of pesterchum like a normal person
don’t have to separate these things with Jefferson. He can have written this incredible
document, and several incredible documents, that we all, sort of- with things
that we all believe in. And he sucks.
think those are both true, and those have to be both true. I think we really
have to stop separating them, ‘cause that’s when you get into trouble. That’s
when you stop letting people be whole people.
Never known for modesty, Marc said “I picked The Damned to tour with me because I wanted to put the best of the established bands against the best of the new wave bands, so we’ll see who can out-punk the other every night” (source: interview with Phillip Crawley published in The Journal, March 18, 1977). In another interview he claimed that he picked The Damned to tour with them because Captain Sensible had the good taste to wear a T Rex t-shirt. Pictured: Marc with Dave Vanian of The Damned, 1977.
