‘’Can I request an Eric from Divergent one shot? Where you’ve been together for a while, and even though he’s softened up a bit, he doesn’t show any emotion around you. Until the day you see him cry for the first time. You comfort him, and he lets out all those built up emotions. Thank you so so much! xx’’
walked by, in between all black dressed bodies, who were waiting
impatiently for their families. But you couldn’t care less. You were
a Dauntless born, and today it was the day when initiate’s families
could visit them. You focused on finding Eric, your boyfriend.
no one in all the Dauntless faction would have expected you to be
Eric’s girlfriend. What am I saying, no one would have expected Eric
to get a girlfriend. He just wasn’t the type of guy who spread love
wherever he walked by. He was more into hardcore fighting, weapons
and his own interests. Yet, you could see how, he actually wasn’t the
monster everyone pictured him. And, even if it seemed incredible, he
actually asked you to be his girlfriend. But, of course, it had it’s
perks. Not that people in your own faction hated you, they just
didn’t like Eric. So you’d be given dirty looks whenever you both’d
hold hands. Or actually, show any kind of human affection. And you
started to get confused, even worried, when his affection towards you
in public got colder.
all of that was far away from your mind now, inspecting every face of
the crowded people around you. You couldn’t seem to find him. Minutes
later, you decided to check on his apartment. Maybe we wasn’t out
that day, there wasn’t any training.
you were in front of the door, you stopped yourself from knocking.
Maybe he wanted to be alone for a day. He was probably tired of
training teenagers every day, and needed some time to himself. But,
at least, you needed to check if he was okay.
waited for some time after knocking on the door, looking at the floor
and balancing on your feet for some minutes. You thought that he
might not heard the call, and raised your right hand to knock again.
Then, you heard footsteps at the other side. You kept your hand up,
breathing slowly, not wanting to miss any more noises. But then, the
apartment door opened, revealing a really bad looking Eric.
looked straight into your eyes, and you took a deep breath to speak.
But he just turned and walked away from the door, leaving the
entrance, and letting it open in case you wanted to stay. He couldn’t
let himself break down in front of you, less at his apartent door.
walked silently, towards him, and sat at the edge of his bed, next to
him. You looked around, and it seemed like he hadn’t even bothered to
get dressed when he woke up this morning. You slowly placed you hand
on his shoulder, and noticed he was really tense. He was hiding his
head on his hands, his arms resting on his knees.
know, we don’t have to talk about it.” you started, and continued
when he just kept silence. “But, if there’s something that bothers
you, I’d like to… help you, some how. You have me.”
looked at you for a couple of seconds, before a tear escaped his eye.
You quickly kneeled in front of him, taking his face in your hands.
But he was now closing his eyes, refusing to meet yours. He loved
your eyes, and the way thet they warmed his heart in a cold day. He
could smile everytime your eyes would connect with his. He could feel
like he was looking through an opened window that you left for him to
escape this world. And, if he looked at you right now, he’d start let
talk to me. Please.” you begged him. Normally, hearing your voice
would calm him. It was that lovely melody that calmed him in the most
stressful day. But, your voice now desesperate, was now painful to
hear. You both stayed for some minutes in silence, his face on your
hands, your thumb caressing his cheek, and deleting every tear that
dared to fall.
hurts.” you whispered “To see you cry.”
finally opened his eyes, scanning your face. He didn’t know what to
say. He just pressed his lips against yours, giving you that kind of
kiss that you missed. That kind of kiss that tasted like love.
we leave it for tomorrow? We’ll talk about it then.” he spoke for
the first time, with a raspy voice. You just nodded and kissed his
talk about it whenever you feel like it. But, at least, let me take you
out. Just a couple of hours, to have dinner and clear your mind,
okay?” you asked him. He nodded, and gave you another kiss before
getting on his feet and putting his black jacket on. Then, he took
your hand firmly, and left the apartment together.
DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE MOVIE YET, BECAUSE IT IS LITERALLY A PAGE OF SPOILERS
THINGS I LIKED ABOUT THE INSURGENT MOVIE:
~Fourtris: the intimate scene was beautiful, even though I was kinda pissed off that they brought that into Insurgent, when it only happened in Allegiant in the books.
~Miles Teller as Peter 👌
~ All the action and special effects.
~ How the leader of Amity was a black woman and the leader of Candor was an Asian man.
~”I fell in love with Tris Prior.” <4
~When all the Dauntless come running down the steps with their guns and your like “Wowowow I want to be Dauntless.”
~The truth serum scene. It was so raw and powerful, and I nearly cried.
~When Tris is shooting at Eric, and Caleb’s like, “Ow my ears.”
~ Tobias playing with the Amity kids
~ When Tris and Tobias go upstairs after the fight in Evelyn’s house, and Caleb just there like, “Well this food looks delicious.”
~Tris telling the little girl to stay upstairs, and then protecting her when Eric puts the gun on her. Also when she says “Be brave” to her.
~When Tris sees Tobias in Erudite and they were screaming and fighting for eachother 😭
~Tobias slamming his fist on the table at Evelyn’s house.
~ Caleb being an idiot in the train with factionless.
~Tris looked SO CUTE when she is in Erudite with her hair all sticking up. She was like a baby parakeet.
~The factionless houses were amazing. I reacted the same way as Caleb, like, “whoaa.”
THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE:
~How everything was so rushed
~The freaking box. WHY?! I didn’t like how they made it the centre of the movie and ignored a bunch of other things from the book which were amazing.
~The fact that Marlene was only introduced so that she could die. If I hadn’t read the books first, I only would’ve known her name after she died.
~What happened to the Tris-Christina-Will problem? I hated how Christina forgives Tris like 10 minutes after she confesses to killing Will, and how they left out Cara, who is such a interesting and vital character in the books.
~How Tris calls Tobias “Four”
~Evelyn kills Jeanine, when its supposed to be Tori who kills her.
~Speaking of which, WHAT HAPPENED TO TORI?! She was one of my favourite characters from the series, and they reduced her to literally nothing.
~They didn’t show Tris’ fear of guns in Insurgent.
~No fighting between Tris and Tobias.
~THE ENDING. They showed everyone pretty much skipping off into the sunset and everything being happy and perfect, BUT NO. That is not at all what it is like in the books, and I didn’t like it one bit. There was no suspense for Allegiant.
~When Caleb watches his sister being strangled and held off of a train, and he just stands there, like seriously, SHE IS YOUR SISTER, DUDE.
~I was so worried when Jeanine’s people attack the Candor compund, because I literally thought they shot Uriah. I hate how he got like two lines as well.
~How Evelyn is literally the same age as Tobias.
Despite all my complaining, I liked Insurgent as a movie on its own, but definitely not as a book-to-movie adaptation. All the special effects were really good, and there was some amazing acting, however, I feel like they focused too much on adding new things to the plotline that they missed out a lot of the book and rushed through things. I would still watch Insurgent again and enjoy it, but I will always prefer the book to the movie.
Peter Hayes (divergent) fluff? :) where you’re both divergent and he likes you and is only nice around you, “
gifs are not mine.
Whole society is turned against the Divergents, and it is hard to keep the fact that you are one of them. The constant pressure, fear eats you up from inside. You thought that you won’t make it in the Dauntless faction, that you made a mistake going here, but you found a soulmate - Peter Hayes. You never thought that he could fancy such a fragile creature like you; he himself is cruel and witty, not caring about other people’s feelings at all. With the exception of you… He figured out the fact that you’re a Divergent, and didn’t last to tell you that he’s one of them himself. You remember that moment very clearly; your eyes lit up with hope, and since then you two are inseparable. Little by little you’ve developed stronger feelings that friendship towards each other. You managed to be with him because he’s nice and fluffy around you… When you fought in the prize ring and would get in bat condition, he always volunteered to change you, despite the fact that Eric didn’t support the idea at all, but Peter didn’t care, because all he cares about is you.
You know that more cruel things are going to come, but you also know that you’re going to outlive it with Peter by your side.
“His fingers slide into my hair, and I hold on to his arms to stay steady as we press together like two blades at a stalemate. He is stronger than anyone I know, and warmer than anyone else realizes; he is a secret that I have kept, and will keep for the rest of my life.”
“Decades ago our ancestors realized that it is not political ideology, religious belief, race or nationalism that is to blame for a warring world. Rather, they determined that it was the fault of human personality – of humankind’s inclination toward evil, in whatever form that is. They divided into factions that sought to eradicate those qualities they believed responsible for the world’s disarray.”
“Those who blame the cowardice were the Dauntless”
