This team is looking at how they can safely guide visitors through the city. They are experimenting with lighted handel bars, directional sounds, audio tours integrated into a helmet and a bike pick up station. The whole system will source an individuals preferences via social media to guide them to the parts of town they might find interesting.
This team has been looking at ways to engage the community in civic matters. They’ve created block party, a roving interactive play station where citizens can gather and give feedback on their community and what they’d like to see change or stay the same.
This team has ingeniously incorporated light vibrations to the left and right side of a bike helmet that are triggered by proximity to other objects ie cars. This way bikers can use their helmets to let them know how close they are to traffic.
This team is looking at illuminating sidewalks and bus stops in crime ridden areas to both deter crime and help locals feel safer. These lights would be applied to urban features in the city and illuminate a path behind and ahead of a pedestrian at night.
