Daryl Dixon x Reader | Smut Warning | 18+ Only | NSFW |

Request: Hello, first I want to write is that your stories are awfully cute. (I have to admit that you’re doing the best for the Imagine Daryl). Well, I thought, since I’m not so much experience in TWD, because I was in the fifth series. I love stupid crap Merle. Brother Daryl. It occurred to me that the reader will have to suffer the stupid crap Merle and Daryl she stands up, well obviously, Smut. I do not know, it’s a proposal, but I think you would have to grapple with it, I believe you can do it.

Summary: Season 1 Era. Before the pilot and before Merle is left on the roof. Daryl and his brother Merle keep to the outskirts of the camp, Reader is interested in Daryl and starts to try and act friendly toward him, only to end up dealing with Merle constantly hitting on her and trying to grab on her. Daryl finally has enough and tells Merle off. Smut ensues. Daryl claims her.

(Season 1 Daryl is so fun and Drunk Merle was also fun to write lol. Enjoy!)

Y/N stared across the way as she absent mindedly helped Carol and Andrea fold laundry. You had just pulled all the clean clothes of the line and were now going to work making sure everyone’s laundry was folded and given back to them. “Woman’s work”, as Lori would call it. You were never the type for, “woman’s work,” but you played along because you were grateful the group had taken you in after the end of the world.

Your eyes haze over as your hands work on their own and you focus in on the man who had your eye from the minute you had found these people, Daryl Dixon. He had piercing blue eyes and a glare that just about knocked the breath out of you every time he sent it your way.

You smile to yourself as your eyes run down his dirt covered rippling muscled arms, over to his big barrel chest that unfortunately was covered with a red and white cut off flannel shirt. You imagined yourself popping open each button until his full form was revealed in front of you. You looked down his legs and stared at the button of his jean. You bite your lip as you imagine popping it open, sliding them down, and setting free his cock. You rub your legs together imagining what it would feel like pushing into you making you cry out for more.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a throat clear. You snap eyes over and realize it is Carol’s voice. Carol and Andrea stand there grinning to themselves.

“Why don’t you go on over and say hello? You know you want to.” Carol nodded her knowing eyes your way.

“What about laundry duty?” You ask.

“We got it. You go. Have fun.” Andrea winks at you.

Your face turns a little read and you smile sheepishly for a moment, before taking a deep breath of confidence, turning your heels and walking quickly across the camp. You made a beeline for Daryl and Merle’s setup which was all the way across the camp and way to the back, a few yards away from everyone else. They had two tents set up side by side, with their own fire pit in front of it and an old broken down car to block potential random walkers who could come out of the woods behind the camp.

You dig your heels harder into the dirt as you walk toward him. You smile when you see him hard at work chopping wood, sweat glistening on his skin, radiating him in the bright sunlight. Merle was drinking a beer watching his brother work away, not even offering to help. You scoffed at Merle, you really didn’t like him. He was always so rude and always trying to hit on Andrea when she clearly hated him. He was one of those men you knew all too well back in the real world. Seems that those were the only kind of men who survived now, but not Daryl; Daryl was different.

You watch as Daryl’s toned arms lifted over his head, as he squared his feet, wiggling his hips a little, before slamming the blade down into the wood below. The wood split swiftly in two and dropped to the ground on either side of the big wooden stump. He breathed heavily as he reached down, grabbed another log, and repeated his actions. He grabbed another log and was about to raise his arms in the air to swing again, when he noticed you approaching their camp.

His harsh eyes looked up your body, slower than usual, making them to yours and piercing into your soul, “What is it, sunshine?” He asked with attitude.

Dating Daryl Dixon would include...

As I’m broadening my horizon beyond Marvel and DC stuffs, here’s some “The Walking Dead” things ! Daryl Dixon’s relationship headcanons, hope you’ll like it, and if you want more, don’t hesitate to ask yo :

My masterlist blog : https://ella-ravenwood-archives.tumblr.com

How you met, falling in love, and the first “I love you” :

✶ You were in Atlanta with your family when the zombie outbreak truly started, and barely managed to leave the center of the city in one piece, loosing everyone you ever loved…But at the time, you were too shocked to realize it.

✶ You ended up in a forrest nearby…and that’s when you met him.

✶ He was hunting with his brother, and at first, thought you were completely nuts. “Zombies ? This gal’s crazy or something”.

✶ Quickly though, the reality of what’s happening reaches the three of you, and you end up tagging along with them.

✶ It helps that you know how to fend for yourself, how to shoot a gun/crossbow/bow  with great accuracy (your father used to take you on hunting trips often). You’re pretty sure they would have left you behind if you were completely useless.

✶ You’re wrong though, it’s not like Daryl to abandon people behind. Not like him at all. And though Merle is a rough man, it’s not actually his thing either, though he’d never admit it.

✶ When they ask about who taught you to shoot, you talk about your father, and even though you try to hold your tears in…You break down. Finally realizing you lost all your family in Atlanta.

✶ “What about friends ? / I don’t have friends”, you tell him. He understands. Besides his brother, he has no one. As your tears run freely, he comforts you the best he can. Not good with words. So he awkwardly pats you on your back, until you burry yourself in his arms. And he lets you do it.

✶ He doesn’t speak much at first. But whenever Merle is away, he’s more open, and conversation always seem to flow easily between the two of you.

✶ He feels weird. He never felt the way he feels when he’s around you before. It was easy to become your friend. It’s easy to talk to you. He doesn’t mind spending hours just sitting next to you, not saying anything. It’s just weird for him, to get attach so fast to someone he knows since only a few weeks.

✶ He knows he’s screwed because the weird feelings he’s been having is love when you, him and his brother meet a group of survivors lead by a certain “Shane”, and he doesn’t like the way that guy looks at you.

✶ His brother teases him about you, not thinking he’s actually right. Until he realizes that yes, his little brother has a thing for you. More than a thing. And then he teases him even more.

✶ You’re too afraid to tell him you feel the same thing about him because…well, sometimes he’s just kind of an asshole to you, so he can’t possibly like you back ? You didn’t realized that he was an ass only when Merle was around.

✶ The day his brother dies, you give him a shoulder to cry on, and comfort him just like he comforted you months ago when you realized your entire family was dead. Only, you’re good with words, and thanks to you, for the first time in his life, he feels completely free, relieved, of any pain and suffering.

✶ That night, he tells you about the abuse he suffered from when he was a kid, from his parents, and the one from his brother though he loved the damn fucker…and you suddenly understand. You understand everything.

✶ “I’m here for you Daryl, and I don’t intend on going anywhere and I”…You don’t even have time to finish your sentence that his lips are on yours.

✶ Never did he do something that felt so right. Kissing you just seemed so natural, as if he was made to do it.

✶ For a second, you don’t respond and his heart drops…until your tongue demands passage in his mouth and oh damn is he dead too, and is he in Heaven right now ? It surely feels like it.

✶ You guys don’t say “I love you” just yet though. You’re already both freaked out that you got attached so fast…Besides, the World you’re living in now doesn’t really give much time for romantic shit.

I wrote this little fic for @backseat-negan writing challenge. My prompt was smoke. This is the FIRST TIME I’ve written actual smut and published it, so, cut me a little slack, okay?

So, warnings, light smut, probably some language, and a bit of the fluffiness.

Series Master

You’d been living with Daryl almost since moving to Alexandria. You hadn’t been especially close before, but you had been friendly, at least. When Rick paired you off with him, you thought he was crazy.

“What the hell, Rick? The guy barely speaks. How the hell am I supposed to live with a mute?” you were exasperated.

Rick clapped you on the shoulder, “He ain’t that bad (Y|N). You know him better than you think. Just give him a chance. ‘Sides, he’ll probably sleep on the porch anyway.”

“Is that humor? Are you trying to be funny?” you were not amused.

“It’ll be fine, you’ll see,” he chuckled and walked away leaving your staring after him.

You hummed softly to yourself as you gathered clothes over your tent’s floor into a huge basket. You chuckled as your hand brushed against the oversized t-shirt you used to sleep in and you remembered the first time you had seen this t-shirt on the love of your life. Merle Dixon. You shook your head in amusement at the memory, Merle drinking at the bar you were working at, Daryl (his little brother) next to him drinking almost as much as the older man was. Merle’s constant teasing towards you and finally, him defending you against a disgusting drunk guy who tried to take advantage of you. Merle had driven you home and since then, you had never left his side. Indeed, life with the hot-headed redneck wasn’t easy all the time but you somehow managed to make him change even if you had to explode and argue a lot, he always seemed to understand you and ended up apologizing in his own way. When the world went to shit, Merle and Daryl busted into your house, telling you to pack your bags and to come with them. Indeed, you did as they said knowing that Merle would protect you with his life if he had to.

You gathered everything you needed to do yours and the boys laundry and went out of the tent to join the other women of the camp. You have been staying here over past two months and almost everyone was nice, apart from Ed who was constantly giving you dirty looks and awful smirks but you didn’t have to be afraid of the man. You knew that no one would mess with you while Merle was around.

Lori smiled at you from her spot on the bed of the truck that you would use to go down at the quarry to wash your clothes and gestured for you to join her and the girls. You jogged in their direction and hopped on the bad of the truck as well, smiling back at Lori.

“T-Dog is coming with us today.” She said as she played with a plaid shirt in her own basket of clothes. You nodded and took a last glance over the makeshift camp in hope to see Merle but he wasn’t around.

“Have you seen Merle around?” You asked Lori and turned to look at her and the girls. Lori looked at you then at the others and shook her head.

“No, not since this morning.” Lori answered, the other girl shaking their head ‘no’ as well.

“And what about Daryl?” You asked again, obtaining the same answer from the women in the truck. “That’s weird.” You mumbled to yourself, making Lori squeeze your shoulder and smile warmly at you.

“Daryl must be with him, don’t worry they’re probably hunting.” Amy said and Andrea nodded next to her. You sighed and shrugged your shoulders as the car stopped before the quarry.

“I guess you’re both right.” You mumbled as you jumped down the bed of the truck with your basket.

T-Dog got out of the car and grabbed his gun before helping you and the others with the clothes. You sat next to Carol and started to clean Merle’s clothes first as you hum softly. Carol smiled as T-Dog chatted with her, keeping his attention to the woods with his gun ready in his hands. You were lost in your thoughts when suddenly, Amy called your name making you look up to see everyone looking at you. You blushed and raised an eyebrow at them.

“What?” You asked, slightly amused.

“I asked you how you met Merle but you seemed far away, (Y/N).” Amy said as the others chuckled quietly at your lost face. You looked down at the shirt in your hands and smiled as you chuckled to yourself.

“Well, it’s quiet a funny story.” You started, making Amy grin at you and nod her head for you to continue but T-Dog interrupted before you had the chance to say a word.

“I don’t understand why you’re with him… How a girl like you can be with a man like him is hard to understand.” He said in an annoyed yet curious voice. You frowned and dropped the wet shirt into the bucket of water you were using.

“What do you mean?” You asked dumbfounded, the others feeling slightly uncomfortable but T-Dog shrugged and looked at you seriously.

“He’s not a good man, he’s a racist man, misogynistic. He has a real temper, you must be so afraid of him.” He answered while shaking his head and playing with the gun in his hands. You opened your mouth to speak but stopped yourself for a second to wrap your head around what T-Dog had said.

“Look…” You started trying to sound as soft as you could. “Merle can’t really play well around others but he’s not a monster. This man has been through a lot of things and no one had ever given him a chance in his life. I have to admit that he should sometimes think more before speaking out loud but, deep down, he’s not a bad guy. He’s a good man but this world categorized him as ‘bad’, he never asked for that.” You finished, finally unable to contain your annoyance towards the small group as they were judging your man unfairly.

T-Dog bit his lips and looked down in shame, knowing that you were right about not even leaving a chance at Merle. The others went back to the task at hand but Amy asked you again about when you met Merle. You smiled and told her how he had saved you from the drunk at the bar but you also told her about the first time you had seen him at a party, how his loud personality actually hid a soft man for the ones he cares about only. Everyone was listening at some point and Carol told you how she thought the same about Daryl and you nodded you head in agreement.

“Yes, Daryl loves his brother. He would die for him.” You smiled as you gathered the clean clothes into your basket. “They’re good men.” You said just above a whisper.

As you got up from the shore, your eyes landed on a figure that was standing at the edge of the woods. You shielded your eyes from the blinding Georgian sun and grinned as you recognized Merle, you dropped your basket and jogged towards him. He waited for you, one of his hands on his hip and a teasing smirk on his lips. You giggled and jumped into his arms, linking your arms around his neck.

“Merle!” You exclaimed. “Where the hell were you?” Merle laughed and wrapped his arms around your smaller frame in a strong hug.

“Ya miss me, sunshine?” He asked cockily, making you chuckle and rolled your eyes.

“Sure, I missed you dummy but where were you?” You asked again as you pulled away.

“Was helping Daryl to hunt but he claimed that I was being too loud and scaring the game away.” He answered clearly annoyed by the situation. You chuckled and kissed his cheek to make him feel better.

“Come on, baby. You know that Daryl is a better hunter than you are. Give him some credits.” You said with a small playful smile on your lips, making Merle scoff and walk off but not without pulling you with him by your hand. You linked your fingers with his and followed him a little further into the woods.

“He is a decent hunter but I’m better.” Merle said as you rolled your eyes again.

“Keep telling yourself that, babe.” You teased again and Merle shot you a dirty look.

“I have to go on a run with the rest of them sorry pricks anyway.” Merle said suddenly as he stopped walking and turned to look at you. You frowned and crossed your arms over your chest.

“They’re not that bad when you get to know them.” You defended the group but your mind was still racing at the idea of him going alone on a run without you and without Daryl.

“Yeah… whatever…” Merle mumbled, not caring about what you said about the group. You took a step closer to the tall man and sighed as you asked in a calm voice.

“You decided to go on your own, without telling me before? They’re going in an hour! I have to wrap my head around it in less than an hour?” Merle looked at you with an expression that you couldn’t really read.

“Yeah… I decided without asking your permission because you’re not my mom. I don’t give a shit if ya agree or not, I can do whatever I want!” He almost screamed at you. You took a step back but quickly swallowed any fear you have been feeling and marched towards him, pushing his chest away with all your strength to make him take a step backward.

“You definitely can do whatever you want, you asshole but you could also think about the two only people that care about you! I don’t want you to get hurt and left alone in a word like this!” You screamed back at him, your temper getting the best of you.

“Step back, woman!” Merle screamed at you and got in your face, glaring at you with anger and stubbornness.

“Make me.” You challenged him, clutching your fists at your sides, completely done with his behavior.

Merle glared at you, his eyes flickering from your eyes to your lips. Heavy breaths left Merle’s chest, his face slightly flushed with anger but you staid right where you were, glaring back at him. Then, Merle’s eyes soften and he suddenly grabbed your face into his hands and crashed his lips to yours. Your eyes widen, taken aback by his sudden mood shift but you couldn’t help but kiss back, your anger vanishing in a flash. Merle’s huge hands gripped your hip and the right one ran up your body to grab the back of your head to deepen the kiss. You moaned into his mouth as his tongue forcefully pushed past your lips and rub against yours. You shivered and moaned again at the feeling, your mind fogged by Merle’s rough hands and sweet taste. You broke away to breath but Merle attacked your neck, nibbling and sucking on your sweet spot over and over again, making you moan a little louder than you expected and buck your hips forward unintentionally. Merle chuckled, proud of himself and whispered seductively against your neck.

“Ya’re still mad at me baby?” He asked and you shook your head ‘no’, not trusting your voice at this point. Merle’s left hand traveled up to your chest and squeezed your breasts into his rough hand. “Answer me baby.” He demanded, making you gasped and close your eyes as you gripped his shoulders.

“N… No, I’m not mad.” You breathed out between moans as Merle kept working on your neck and on your breasts.

“Good girl…” Merle answered, bringing his lips back to yours and captured them into a passionate kiss.

You rubbed your hips against his and pushed him backwards against a tree to jump in his arms and wrap your legs around his hips. Merle grunted and carried you with ease, his muscles jumping as he held you up and teared your shirt off your body. You whimpered and your eyes darkened seeing his own lust for you. Weirdly, you both stopped and stared at each other. Your love for him blooming as you saw his eyes look at you as if you were the most beautiful woman on hearth.

“I love you.” You whispered only for him to hear.

“I love ya too, baby.” He answered and you knew that he meant it. It was the first time that his voice had been so emotional, almost breaking at the end. You giggled in happiness and brought him down for a passionate and lustful kiss.

You didn’t know that the others were already getting ready for the run in town as you enjoyed a pure moment of love with Merle and you also didn’t know that it would be the last time for an entire year that you would be with the love of your life because when the group came back the next day, Merle wasn’t with them. He was just gone but you never gave up on him, knowing that no one could kill Merle but Merle.

I really hope that you liked it! It’s a bit shorter than expected, sorry if you wanted something longer.

Only You (Merle Dixon x Reader)

Requested by anon: Reader x Merle with Fluff, Smut and Angst + Morning sex with Merle (I combined these two requests. I hope that`s okay.

Summary: Merle is gone after a supply run and you`re out of your mind with worry.

Warnings: Smut, Drama, Angst & Fluff, Merle being Merle, A bit of Swearing.

~ ~ ~

The rustling of the gate opening brought an instant smile to your lips and you got out of your bed in haste. You threw the book you’d been reading on the mattress and rushed out of your cell. A warm summer breeze caressed the bare skin on your arms as you paced out to the prison yard to meet the group that’s been out looking for supplies. It was one person in particular you wanted to greet welcome more than anyone.

Merle Dixon.

Just thinking about him burned your cheeks and caused an aching heat to throb between your thighs.

Dixon Brothers Imagine ~ Guts

The Reader is close friends with Daryl and Merle and this friendship has to prove itself when Merle gets cuffed to the roof…

The sun shone down onto you while you let yourself fall onto the ground of the roof you were more or less trapped on.
Trapped, because some idiot in the streets thought he had to play Lucky Luke, showing up in sheriff stuff and riding a horse before beginning to shoot and attract and fill the streets with living corpses.
You looked over to Merle who sat next to you, tipping with his shoes impatiently onto the ground.
You knew both of them, Merle and Daryl, for a long time now and over time you’ve grown to be pretty close friends and even though you were a lot younger than both of them, you were more than just sometimes forced to play their Watchdog when they, or especially Merle got driven by his hothead once again.
Merle stood up, grabbed the gun standing next to him before he walked over to the edge of the roof.
“Merle? What the fuck are you doing?”, you asked looking confused at him while he kept walking.
“You’ll see, Darlin’”, he just said, cocking the gun as he brought it up to his face and fired the first shot down the roof.
“Merle, stop that shit there are already enough around”, you hissed while you saw him continuing.
“We’re dying anyway doll, why not having a little fun before we peg out”, he said, stopping shooting for a short moment before he put the gun back to his face.
You huffed, stood up and walked over to him while you crossed your arms in front of your chest.
“Merle Dixon, you fucking stop shooting. Now”, you growled before he stopped again, shaking his head chuckling before the door on the other side of the roof hit open.
“Hey, Dixon are you crazy?”, you heard Morales scream as you turned around while Merle laughed and sent another shot down the building.
“Hey! You ought to be more polite to a man with a gun! Huh?”, Merle called out as he finally stopped and turned around.
“Only common sense”, he said chuckling as he hopped down the ridge you both were standing on while the others made their way with the guy in uniform who got you all into this trouble.
“You are wasting bullets we ain’t even got!”, T-Dog yelled as he stormed towards Merle.
And hell, you could already tell that it wasn’t gonna finish with yelling.
You saw the anger in Merle’s face rising as he began to yell.
“Merle. Come on it’s not worth it”, you hissed trying to lay your hand on his shoulder to keep him from doing something stupid and of course, it didn’t help.
You didn’t need to listen to his now calming down voice that all that was coming out of his mouth was offending shit while you kept trying to hold him with a greater urge back.
You weren’t dumb and you weren’t naive as well, you knew Merle and you knew how much of an asshole he could be when he was edgy and the last thing you needed was an escalation here.
“I’ll tell you the day! It’s the day I take orders from a nig-” “Merle!”, you furiously cut him off before he could continue.
“Stop (Y/N), let that damn asshole say what he wanted to say”, T-Dog growled while still glaring at the chuckling Merle who raised his voice and you saw T-Dog’s fist landing in Merle’s face.
“Merle!”, you screamed again as you saw how he wrestled T-Dog to the ground and you couldn’t see anymore who hit who until Merle leaned over T-Dog, hissed again before he stood up.
You looked glaring over to both of them, you didn’t need a big fight here while tons of walkers were trying to make their way to you.
“So what are we gonna do now?”, Merle said chuckling before you saw how the man hit him to the ground and a sharp gasp escaped your throat.
He leaned over him hit his handcuffs out and got merle faster cuffed to the pipe than you could look.
“Hey! wait that’s not necessary”, you said looking at the man who grabbed Merle now by his collar.
“Oh it is”, the man said before merle began to growl again. “Who the hell are you man?!”, he got out of his mouth while the man still held him forcefully.
“Rick Grimes”, the man just hissed before he let go of him.
“Damn it”, you growled quietly while you looked over to the others, T-dog still on the ground while the others watched the scene playing in front of them.
You heard Rick talking to Merle before you looked back to them, seeing how he pulled a small bag out of Merle'a pocket.
He had promised you to stop with that shit, with these damn drugs, not only for you but also for Daryl.
Rick stood up, tossed the bag from the roof and as much as you already couldn’t stand him for all the misery he had brought you in, you inwardly thanked him for that.
“You’re not gonna leave him this way now are you?”, you asked tensed up as you saw Rick walking to the edge of the roof before he turned around.
“He has to cool down”, he said while you huffed.
“He can cool down without this thing on”, you said looking from Merle to Rick.
“Nah, he can’t, not gonna take the risk”, he said before you sighed.
Great Job, Merle.
Great Job, Officer Know-it-all.
You scowled before you let yourself fall next to Merle, deep down you knew that he needed a break even though you didn’t like seeing him cuffed.
But as long as this Sheriff would get him off of it again, you could somehow get along with it.
“You told me you’d stop with that shit”, you growled while you looked down to your hands.
“I’d stop, right after that sweet little stash”, Merle said as you huffed annoyed.
“What? You playing moralizer or what?” He asked with a hissing undertone.
“I’m not, I’m just not interested in you dying because of this fucking crap”, you growled.
“Now that’s really cute, Doll”, he said while he chuckled provocative.
“How’s the signal?”, you heard Morales ask as the crippling sound of the walkie could be heard.
“Like Dixon’s brain. Weak”, T-dog answered, a grin on his face while Merle flipped him off and your glares hit him.
“Really T-Dog?”, you asked annoyed.
After all, Merle was still your friend.
An asshole friend, but still a friend.
You liked T-Dog and you got along with him well, but you just didn’t like seeing Merle cuffed.
You heard the others and the Sheriff talking about how to get out of here while Merle turned his head to you.
“Doll, you gonna get me out of these cuffs?”, he asked looking at you.
“I’m gonna talk to him again, but you have to stop acting like a dick or you’re faster cuffed again than you think”, you hissed before you stood up.
“Now that’s my girl”, you heard him chuckle while you walked over to the new man.
“Can I talk to you for a minute?”, you asked tensed but calm.
“I’m not gonna get him out of the cuffs”, he directly said while you clenched your jawline.
What did he think of just coming here and thinking he can manage everything after he brought you into this shit?
You took a deep breath, keeping yourself under control before you started again.
“I’ll not let him attack someone again, I just need the keys”, you said trying to somehow convince him.
“Sorry, but no. Not for now”, Rick answered while you couldn’t hold a huff back.
“So how do we get out?”, you heard Andra ask before you could walk Rick something else.
You walked back to Merle, knowing that you had to find another way to get him out of this.
You kneeled next to him, took your knife and brought it close to him.
“Woah, what are you doing darling? You suddenly into knife play?”, you heard him ask while you huffing began trying to open the cuffs.
“Shut up Merle. I’m trying to free you”, you hissed while you kept on trying.
Hell, why did he always have to act like the biggest Asshole on earth?
Well, to be fair, he wasn’t always like that, you knew probably every side of him and there were good, gentle ones but mostly they couldn’t keep him from getting himself into trouble.
You heard the others muttering some plan before you heard Andrea telling T-Dog to watch over Merle and shortly after that you heard the crashing metallic sound of the door.
“It’s not working”, you huffed, looking desperately at the cuffs that began to turn his skin underneath red.
“Oh come on Sweetie, they’ll get me off, later on, why don’t we have some fun before we all die? My hand may be impeded, but my pants aren’t. Why don’t you go for a ride?”, he asked grinning while he earned a glare from you.
“Fuck you, Merle, this is not the time for this shit”, you growled before you started a new try.
And you tried until you heard the door opening again and saw the others walking over to the part of the roof where you sat.
“Hey! You get him off of this now!”, you called over to the Sheriff.
“Like I said, not now”, he hissed before you stood up again.
“Listen Sheriff Smartypants, you can’t get us into this whole thing and then play big boss! I get why you got him cuffed up and yes, he deserved it, but it’s enough now. Get. Him. Off” you growled while he shook his head.
“Listen, I’ll get him off, when we’ve found a solution to get out of here”, he said calm but tensed while you still looked glaring at him.
“I’ll do it. You can believe me”, he said while you tried to figure out if he really did or just said it to calm you down.
“I hope so”, you said growling before you looked over to Merle again and walked huffing over to him.
“You gotta wait a little bit, but he’ll get you off”, you muttered before you sat next to him again.
“Sorry”, you added swallowing while you looked over to him.
“Don’t worry, Sweetie. This is not on you”, he said, a tensed undertone in his voice, before he patted your knee.

Some time passed, Sheriff Smartypants and Glenn had worked out some plan and right now, they were running covered in guts through the streets while you still sat next to Merle and you could see the clouds above you darkening.
“That asshole is out on the street with the handcuff keys”, Merle hissed through the grumbling of the upcoming storm before you saw how T-dog held the small silver key up.
You almost jumped up and walked toward him, before you stood above him. “T-Dog come on. It’s enough now”, you said first trying hit keep everything calm.
“(Y/N) you’re a fine person but I really don’t understand how you can stand up for this prick. So no”, he said looking up to you while you began to glare.
“T-dog, don’t make me do something I don’t want to do”, you growled before you heard the grumbling of the storm right above you, the first raindrops falling onto your skin.
“God damn it”, you growled as you looked up to the clouds and felt your clothes turning wet.
“At least I’m gonna have a nice view, when things go south”, you heard Merle say before you turned around and saw him looking at you.
You just shook your head glaring at him before you turned to T-Dog again who now stood at the edge of the roof and looked down to the scene that was playing there.
“They’re in a car”, you just heard Morales say as he looked through the binoculars and the rain got weaker again.
“They’re making it! We-We gotta go”, you suddenly heard Morales call out before he suddenly grabbed his stuff and ran over to the door while you stood bewildered there, seeing the others rush over to Morales.
“(Y/N), you have to come now!“, Andrea yelled over to you while you looked bewildered at her.
“Are you kidding me, Andrea?! I’m not going! You can’t leave him here this way!”, you yelled over to her while she looked smitten at you.
“I’m sorry we have to go”, she called over.
“No, NO! You’re staying here until we get him free!”, you yelled while you walked a few steps towards her and T-Dog.
“Please!”, you heard Merle scream behind you.
And when Merle screamed “please” things had to be really worse for him.
“I’m sorry!”, Andra said again before she stormed through the door.
“Fuck you Andrea”, you yelled already feeling the desperation creating a lump in your throat.
“T-Dog, please! Come on man! Please help me, I’m sorry!”, you heard Merle scream again while T-Dog’s glance wandered to you, his breath heavy while he seemed to struggle.
“(Y/N), I-”, he said struggling while you looked desperate at him.
“Please T-Dog, I won’t get him out of the cuffs by myself, will you leave me here too? Come on, please”, you said your mood constantly switching between anger and desperation.
T-Dog breathed heavily before he grabbed something from his pocket, ran over to Merle before he suddenly tripped and fell onto the hard ground.
The dull bang his body produced while hitting the ground got followed by a metallic sound that traveled down the pipe in the roof.
It had been the key.
He had just dropped the damn key.
“I-I’m sorry”, T- Dog stumbled as he got up and you still stood stuck in shock there, Merle screaming before you turned to T-Dog who now rushed to the door.
“You can’t go!”, you yelled before you saw him looking as smitten at you as Andrea had looked at you before he kept running.
You heard Merle still screaming while you saw how T-Dog chained the door up, while he called out to you that walkers won’t get you.
You were still stuck between desperation and anger as you began to hear Merle’s screams.
“Shit…shit!”, you heard Merle call desperately out from behind the pipes.
“I’ll get you off…somehow”, you said, trying to calm yourself down.
If you would panic, it would just make it worse even though your body was already a trembling mess.
Your glance wandered around, fell onto the box with the tools.
You felt your legs almost automatically moving as you walked over to them, grabbed the whole box and sprinted over to Merle who laid panting on the floor.
“We’ll make it Merle, I promise”, you said, your voice still trembling even though you tried to keep it under control.
You grabbed the first tool you saw, a small saw before you tried with all the strength you had to break the cuffs.
Merle began to talk but his words were just empty echoes in your head while you kept going. Soon you felt like your sharp breath was ripping crannies into your throat as your breath got even more heavily.
“This shit’s not working”, you said gasping before you angrily tossed the saw away from you both and grabbed some pair of loopers.
You were already out of breath, you could feel your muscles begging you to stop but you couldn’t.
With all the strength you had left you tried to let the metallic cord rip open, but nothing seemed to help, doesn’t matter how much you tried, doesn’t matter how long you tried.
“Shit!”, you scoffed while the sound of the word came more out as a whimper.
“I-I’ll find a way-”, you said gasping while you looked up to Merle, his face just seeable through the faint light that got weaker and weaker.
You had probably tried for longer than you thought.
“Damn (Y/N), are…shit are you crying?”, you heard him say, suddenly in a more gentle tone as you felt a tear rolling down your cheek.
“No-…No I’m just… yeah, I probably am crying”, you said scoffing while you let yourself fall next to him, running your hand over your face.
You heard Merle sigh next to you before you looked up to him once again. “Maybe you should go too”, he quietly said.
“Don’t ever say that again. I’m not leaving you”, you said and even though your voice was still weak, the determination could be heard through it.
“I’d tell everyone else to keep their asses here, but you need to survive you know”, he said scoffing slightly.
“And you need to survive too. Daryl, he wants that too. Last time I’m saying that, doesn’t matter what shit happens, I’m staying”, you said before you picked up the pair of loopers once again but realized soon that with the small strength you got left, nothing would just somehow work out.
“Leave it, try again tomorrow”, you heard him say unlikely calm for him.
Maybe that kind of calmness people fall in between of panic attacks, that numb feeling you get for some time before the storm of panic inside you begins to rage again.
“I will, I-I will”, you said huffing before you leaned yourself against the pipe.
“Why don’t you lean yourself against good ol’ Merle, huh?”, he asked with a slight chuckle in his voice.
“Because If I do so, you’re gonna get the wrong ideas”, you said, a small grin on your lips.
You tried to stay awake, to keep your eyes open but after a few more moments you felt your eyelids forcing themselves down.

”(Y/N), you alright?“, Daryl said as he drove along the road, Merle on his motorcycle driving in front of the truck you sat in.
“Do you think it’s going to end? That the military can stop it?”, you asked swallowing while you looked out of the window remembering the pictures the TV had shown just days ago.
Cops shooting down people, well, living corpses that ate people.
“I don’t know”, you heard Daryl mutter before you looked over to him.
“Can you promise me something?”, you swallowing asked after a few moments.
“What is it?”, he asked looking for a short moment from the road to you.
“That we stay together. That…that we search for each other if we ever get split up…doesn’t matter what happens”, you said while your glance stayed onto Daryl.
“I promise”, he said before he looked over to you.
“I really do”, he said seriously before he cracked a small smile for you.

You woke up, leaned against Merle as you felt the first sunbeams shine down to you.
“Good Morning Doll”, you heard him say before a metallic thud made you jolt up, followed by a choir of groans.
Your eyes darted to the door, still mostly locked but some walkers tried to squeeze their rotting bodies through the gap.
“Oh no, god no!”, you heard Merle desperately groaning.
And there it was again, the panic.
You swallowed hard, tightened your grab around your knife before you walked towards the door and stabbed into the heads of the walkers, avoiding their flesh craving mouths while you took each one out.
Your hands were covered in blood as you walked back to Merle, picking up the pair of loopers again.
Your glance went to Merle’s wrist, already bloody and swollen before you leaned your full bodyweight onto the tool.
You wouldn’t give up, you wouldn’t even allow yourself to think about it.
You were in some kind of trance, not even hearing what Merle said for some time before you heard the metal clicking and saw the metallic cord of the handcuff finally ripping.
“Oh my-”, you called out, not believing what you saw as you heard Merle laughing relieved.
“You are a force of nature! Shit, thank you!”, you heard him call out laughing while you looked at the ripped cord.
“Come on Doll, gotta get off this shit”, you heard Merle say before he pulled you up along with him.
“Yeah, need to go back to Daryl”, you said while you caught your breath again.
“And back to the shitheads? You kidding me?”, Merle said as you looked up to him.
“No, I’m not”, you said before you began to walk over to the door and raised your voice again.
“I got a promise to keep.”

You promise? I promise. part two

Note: I hope you guys like this!! Enjoyyyyyy!

Warning: angst, swearing, smut

part one

You sat next to Daryl as he lit up a cigarette on the front of Hershel’s porch. You both sat in silence and you leaned your head on his shoulder, feeling his muscles work as he brought the smoke up to his lips.

“I saw Merle today” he said bluntly.

You lifted your head up and looked at him in shock. “What-”

“He wasn’t real, it was just an illusion cause of the blood loss an’ everything”

Daryl had gone out looking for Sofia again today and he came back in bad shape, but Hershel was able to fix him up.

“What did he say?” you asked, thinking back to a time when you used to watch Merle taunt Daryl, and you’d get angry whenever he went back to him like a loyal dog.

“He helped me. I had to climb up the side of some cliff and he was motivating me to get up”

“Motivating you how?”

“Telling me to stop being such a pussy, to toughen up and remember who I am” he offered you a smoke but you declined. “He practically saved me, that asshole” he let out a small laugh.

“He didn’t save you Daryl” you said, making him look at you in confusion. “He wasn’t there, that was all you. Don’t think that your brother is saving you all the time just cause he’s there. I mean, like you said, it was an illusion, you got yourself up there, you don’t owe him anything.” You finished, looking out at the fields.

“You’re right” he nodded his head and wrapped an arm around you, bringing you closer to him.

You leaned your back against the car as you mindlessly kicked dust around on the floor. You were waiting for Rick to get back with Daryl from Woodbury, Glenn and Michonne kept you company. You were starting to drift into a daydream when you heard shouting from the forest.

“Rick!” you heard someone shout. You and Glenn exchanged glances before you ran to the sound, Michonne trailing behind you. You came to a clearing when you saw Rick and Daryl arguing, little did you know who else they were with. You stopped in your tracks to catch your breath back, but then Michonne came from behind you with her sword raised.

“Hey!” you shouted, aiming your gun at her as she ran past you.

Then everything happened at once. Rick stepped away from Daryl and pointed his gun at her and that’s when you saw who was standing behind him, Merle. Your heart skipped a beat and you were shocked when you saw Glenn lunge for Merle, Daryl holding him back. You looked at Merle, confusion written all over your face. You remembered back in Atlanta when you went to find him, but all you found was his amputated hand.

“What the hell is he doing here?” Michonne and Glenn shouted in sync as they were struggling to push past Daryl and Rick. Daryl had enough and pushed Glenn back, telling him to back off.

Your eyes flicked over to him and he held the contact. He knew you weren’t happy to see Merle. You were never a huge fan of him and Daryl saw the hatred glowing in your eyes.

“Put the sword down!” Rick said, pushing the gun against Michonne’s forehead. She hesitated before lowering it and everyone took a breath.

“Well I guess everyone’s missed me!” Merle said, laughing at everyone but he stopped when his eyes landed on you. You shifted in place, feeling a little uncomfortable. “And I see you still have (y/n) following you ‘round. She aint get you killed yet?” he turned to Daryl.

“Say that one more fucking time!” you shouted, raising your gun and strutting towards him. You blocked everything out and you only focused on him, not realising that you were now holding the gun up to his temple.

You saw him smiling and you came back to reality, Daryl was trying to pull you away and after a while you finally let him. He slowly took the gun out of your hand but you kept your eyes on Merle.

“I missed you too” he said, pouting his lips at you.

“Shut up Merle!” Daryl said, still watching you to make sure you don’t try anything. You took a step back and Glenn started talking.

“He is not coming back with us! Do you know what he did to me? To Maggie!”

“And he was hunting me down” Michonne added, keeping her voice low.

Rick placed his finger and thumb on the bridge of his nose before turning to Daryl and Merle. “He can’t come back with us”

Daryl looked around at all of you but you didn’t look at him. “So, you just gonna make me choose? He’s my brother Rick”

“I understand that but-”

“You can’t ask me to leave him.”

Merle stood silent up against the tree as he was watching everything unfold.

“If he goes, I go” Daryl said, making you look up at him. He held eye contact with you but quickly looked away.

“You don’t have to do that” Glenn said, his voice soft. “You don’t owe him anything!”

Daryl looked over to you and you spoke up. “We’re your family now Daryl, sometimes water is thicker than blood” you said, making Merle scoff.

“I aint leaving him”

Anger started to bubble inside of you at this point. How could Daryl be doing this once again. You had seen this happen repeatedly in the past, he would always go back to Merle no matter what. You remembered all the times when Merle would make Daryl take the blame for some shady shit he would do, and it was always you who had to find the money to bail him out. Or times when their father would beat Daryl, and Merle would say nothing as he watched it happen.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” you asked, your voice surprisingly calm.

“(Y/n)-” Daryl started but you cut him off.

“No! Don’t say anything. You can go off with your brother and hope that he’s changed, that maybe hell actually look out for you for once!” you raised your voice, taking everyone by surprise. “He’ll get you killed Daryl, he only cares about himself but you still run back to him! You always give him a second chance!”

“Like you always gave me one?” Daryl shot back, making adrenaline pump through your body. You felt a familiar fight coming on. “You’re out here judging me for giving my brother all the chances in the world when you do the same shit with me! I mean how many times have I promised to change? Huh? It aint happening, he’s my brother and he always will be, so get used to it!” he finished, his chest heaving from how angry he was.

Tears threatened to spill from your eyes as you felt like an idiot for actually giving him all those chances. He was right, he wasn’t going to change. You walked up to him, ready to slap him but you stopped yourself. Instead, you kept your voice calm as you spoke.

“Well you’re shit out of luck Dixon, all your chances have run out” you spat, turning on your heel and walking back to the car.

“What’s this?”

You stood in front of the counter at the police station, $1000 sitting in front of the man.

“Bail for Daryl Dixon” you said, tired of going through the same procedure nearly every week.

He hesitantly took the money and started counting it. Once he was done he showed you to Daryl’s cell and you looked at him disapprovingly. He avoided eye contact when the cell door slid open and he walked out. Once you were outside you trailed behind Daryl, he was heading in the direction of your car until Merle pulled up beside him in his truck, music blaring.

“C’mon brother, there’s a party down at Andrews!” Merle shouted out the window over the music, completely ignoring the fact that he had gotten his brother into this mess.

“I’m heading back with (y/n)” he shouted back, continuing to your car. Merle eyed you up and down before laughing. “Shit! She bail you out again? How much do I owe ya?” he smiled, looking at you.

“About $8000” you said, rolling your eyes as he scrunched up his face.

“You’re ripping me off”

“Whatever Merle” you said as you and Daryl got in the car and drove off.

“Thanks for bailing me out again” Daryl mumbled as you got closer to your apartment.

“It’s nothing” you said, knowing that you got paid enough to bail him out every day.

You parked up and walked to your door, walking in and kicking your shoes off. You stretched out your arms and fell back on the sofa, letting your body relax after a long day.

“You alright?” he asked, sitting next to you.

“Long day” you smiled at him.

“How about I help you relax a little more?” his voice was low, and you giggled as he kissed your neck, his hands roaming under your top and over your waist. You let your hands drift over his body and you took his leather jacket and shirt off all while he was kissing and sucking your neck. He used one hand to take your top off and then expertly he unhooked your bra and immediately took your boob in his mouth, his tongue swirling around your nipple. You moaned as his hands explored your body, warming you up. He moved down to your jeans and undid the button, you lifted your lower half up to make it easier for them to slide down. He growled as his fingers dug into your thighs and you eagerly reached for his belt, undoing it and helping him take it off. Once you two were completely naked you laid on your back, Daryl climbing on top of you and holding himself up on his hands. He kissed your lips, forcing your mouth open with his as he bit your bottom lip. He kissed down your jawline and then to your neck, making you moan at his touch. He grabbed his cock in one hand and pumped it a few times before pressing his tip against your entrance, slowly rubbing himself up and down before slowly pushing in, making both of you sigh from pleasure. He held still for a moment, enjoying the feel of you around him. He dropped his head to the crook of your neck and began to move. It started off slow but he quickened his pace as your moans got louder. He breathed against your neck and started to suck at your it, making sure to leave a dark bruise afterwards.

You could feel your high coming on quickly, between Daryl’s grunts and thrusts, your body was experience an immense amount of pleasure.

“Fuck” Daryl said, his voice strained as his release was coming soon. You grabbed into his shoulders and dug your nails into his skin as he fucked you harder, making you squeeze your eyes shut. You could feel him begin to throb in you and he moaned your name, sending you over the edge. You curled your toes and grabbed onto the side of the sofa, gripping the material in your hand. You arched your back into him as you saw stars flash right in front of you.

Daryl thrusted in you a few more times before he finally pushed in hard one last time, holding himself deep in you as he spilled his seed out. He gripped onto your neck and squeezed as your tight walls helped him through his high. He pulled out of you and you bent your legs so he had space to sit down. He pulled his boxers on as his chest rose and fell. You placed your legs back on him and you pulled the small blanket onto you from the floor. Daryl rested his hand on your calf and kissed your thigh.

“I love you” he said, his breath back and his eyes on you.

You raised your head and smiled at him. “I love you too Daryl”

It had been a couple of hours since you got back to the prison. You were feeling angry and heartbroken, two emotions that should never be mixed. You stalked to your cell and shoved everything you owned into a bag. It wasn’t a lot, a few clothes, your gun and a hunting knife. You zipped up the bag and slung it around your shoulder.

Walking through the courtyard, the whole group was staring at you with questioning glances.

You continued to walk and ignore Ricks calls. He soon caught up with you and was walking by your side.

“Hey” Rick touched your shoulder but you angrily shrugged it off. “Where are you going?”

“I’m leaving”

“I need to be on my own. Feelings get people hurt and the longer I stay here the harder it’ll be to watch people go”

“No one’s going-”

“Look around Rick!” you snapped, stopping to face him. “T-Dog died, the farm is gone, Lori is dead and now Daryl is gone!” You saw the hurt in his eyes but you started walking again, leaving Rick standing on his own as you opened up the gates and left for good.

“Where is she?”

Daryl paced around in your cell, Rick standing just outside, watching him as if he were a caged animal.

“Where is she!” he shouted louder.

“She left” Rick replied.

Merle laughed from outside. “She was right, you’re shit out of luck!”

Daryl lunged forward but Rick held him back. “Shut your mouth jackass!” Daryl said.

He pulled away from Rick and ran a hand through his hair. “How long ago did she leave?

“A couple hours ago, maybe”

Daryl said nothing as he grabbed his crossbow from the floor and staked out of the cell.

“Where are you going?” Rick asked, walking with Daryl to the main door. He said nothing but Rick knew what he was thinking. “Daryl it’s too dark, go in the morning-”

“Na, the tracks won’t be fresh” he grumbled.

“Let her go little brother” Merle said, his voice echoing against the walls.

“This is your fault!” Daryl suddenly turned and punched Merle in the face, making him drop to the ground. “She was right about you man, go to hell!”

He turned and walked off, leaving Rick to help Merle as he left the prison in search of you.

She’s Mine [Teaser]

(Ah hell, either I am a tease or I am feeling generous. Here is a request I have been working on.)

Summary: Season 1 Era. Before the pilot and before Merle is left on the roof. Daryl and his brother Merle keep to the outskirts of the camp, Reader is interested in Daryl and starts to try and act friendly toward him, only to end up dealing with Merle hitting on her and trying to grab on her. Daryl finally has enough and tells Merle off. Smut ensues. Daryl claims her.

His harsh eyes looked up your body, slower than usual, making them to yours and piercing into your soul, “What is it, sunshine?” He asked with attitude.

He was used to people being guarded with him and Merle, so he always had that shield up.

You put your hands on your hips and looked down at all the split wood at his feet and nodded your head up at him, “Just thought maybe you’d want some help.”

You stare at him boldly and smile sweetly, letting him know your intentions were true.

Daryl huffed and stepped back a little, surprised by your offer; no one ever offered to help him around here, they were all scared of him. But Y/N he noticed had never been afraid of him. In fact, he had caught her staring at him more than a few times since she had joined the group. It made him nervous when your eyes scanned his body. It made him feel things he’d rather not feel. He admitted only to himself that at night when everyone else was asleep and Merle had finally passed out safely that he thought of only her when he would give himself release. Daryl would only admit to himself how bad he really wanted her and now here she was so close to him, offering to help.

Daryl nodded his head back toward you and hardened his eyes even more, as if you could read his thought, “Alright darlin’ have at it.”

You smiled brighter and felt butterflies explode inside your stomach, you nearly got so lost in his eyes that as you went to walk forward you tripped on a stick on the ground, and nearly fell over. You caught yourself and put your hand over your face as you laugh, embarrassed as hell that your clutzy nature had betrayed you in front of the one man  you didn’t want to look like a fool in front of.

Daryl smirked a little, giving you the smallest smile you had ever seen. But for him, that was pretty big.

You shake it off and walk down toward him, bending down to pick up an arm full of logs that were ready on the ground.

As you gathered the pieces into your hands you heard a long, slow whistle, “Damn, girl! Thanks for the show!”

Shit. You had forgotten completely about Merle and of course you were bending over right in front of him.

You quickly shot upright and turned around and glared at him as you walked over to stack the logs on the pig pile you had built up. Merle just laughed easily and wiggled his eyebrow, winking at you.

You turn back around and notice Daryl glaring at his brother, clenching his jaw shut, his hard eyes nodded over to you as if to apologize.

You shrugged and smiled sweetly at him for his concern.

You smirk and turn around toward Merle, and nearly right in front of Daryl, you bend down again, this time facing your ass toward Daryl. You wiggle it slowly as is slightly rubs up against the side of his leg, while you pick up more logs. You wiggle your way back up, putting on a show for Daryl and telling Merle off all at once. You stand back up and glare at Merle, before sweetly leaning your body back slightly onto Daryl’s

“Some women want a real man, Merle.” You say and walk confidently back over to the pile, to add to it.

Daryl’s jaw went tight and his cock was instantly hard when you bent down rubbing against him. Was Y/N fucking serious?? What the hell did that mean? He asked himself inside his head, thoughts of her crying out to him returning to his head. But, that was just the fantasy he had inside. It couldn’t possibly happen, could it?

Daryl’s confused face turned hard again, trying to maintain the appearance of composure when all he wanted was to be all over you, in every way.

His eyes snapped to Merle’s when he heard his brother chuckle. He clenched his jaw tighter when he saw Merle’s eyes roaming your body up and down, slowly checking out every inch of what he wanted to be his.

“I’ll show ya a real man, darlin’.” Merle took a swig of his beer and grabbed himself.

You rolled your eyes and made your way back over to Daryl, picking up another load, allowing Daryl to stare at your ass again. You saw the look in his eye, he was enjoying it, and you fucking loved that!

You pick up another armful, stand, and scoff over to Merle, “Go have another beer. You’re delusional if you think I’m ever gonna give it up to a guy like you.”

Merle suddenly arose to his feet and walked over, putting his face in yours, trying to show his dominance.

Your body tensed up and you were taken aback for a second, long enough to show Merle he had gotten to you.

He licked his lips and stared down at yours, “I think that pretty little mouth of yours could do some damage. I’d love to shove my cock inside that mouth.” His finger came up and he rubbed your lips roughly.

You stepped back, quickly, trying to get away. You tripped again, this time on Daryl’s boot, knocking you back into his chest and body. You gasp in shock as you feel him behind you.

He wrapped his arm instinctually around you as you fell, wrapping his arms around your stomach and waist. His arms lingered as you felt him grab at you roughly a minute, before letting go once you had regained your footing.

He stood inches from your body as he glared his brother down, “Fuck off, Merle. She’s just tryin’ to help. Why you gotta always be startin shit?! Leave her be!” Daryl complained, glaring down Merle.

Merle’s head suddenly tilted back as he made a full hearted laugh escape his lips. He snapped his eyes back to you and then to his brother, “Sure thing little brother.”

He backs away with his hands in the air, laughing, “I’m just tryin’ to have a little fun. A fine piece of ass like that? Ya gotta try, right?”

Daryl rolled his eyes and clenched his jaw shut as he watched his brother back away.

“I think I will go get that beer.” Merle looked you up and down and winked at you before turning around and heading off to stir trouble somewhere else in the camp.

Your body relaxed as you watched Merle finally fuck off, you sigh deeply, your sense of safety returning to you. Suddenly, you feel a hand on the small of your back and your body tenses again, this time for another reason, Daryl. You feel electricity shoot through every cell of your body and you lean back into it as he rubs under your skin a little.

“Sorry. He’s a dick.” Daryl says, trying to concentrate on his words, but all he can focus on his hand on your body and the fact that you are allowing him to roam it.

You lean further back into his body, leaning your entire body onto his, forcing his hand even further up your t-shirt. You close your eyes and smile as you lean your head on his shoulder.

Daryl’s eyes were wide and wild as he stared down at your face and your body leaning into his. Was this real? He wondered.

You are so lost in the way his touch makes you feel you completely forget where you are and the fact that it is the middle of the day. You reach behind you and grab his other hand, pulling it up to your stomach and placing it underneath the fabric, encouraging him to travel onward across your body.

Daryl starts to slowly swirl his hand around it, testing your waters, as he brings his other hand to your front, gripping at your stomach and hips, pulling your body into his.

You moan happily when you feel his hard, throbbing cock pressing against your ass, he was just as into this as you.

You open your eyes and look up at him, smiling as you watch him stare your body down, watching his hands work on you. He stares over into your eyes, questions flooding through his mind. His breathing became heavy as he tried to control himself, his hand going as slow as painstakingly possible.

You nod your head up in agreement, “What do you say when go into your tent and have a little mid-day fun?” You asked boldly, asking him for exactly what you wanted from him.

Title: Ours

Characters: Daryl Dixon x You/Reader

Requested by: @hey-douchepool

Can you do a Daryl one shot, where Daryl and Y/N were together before the apocalypse and like Daryl is being distant and Y/N has a flashback of a fluffy moment between them before the apocalypse and she gets sad and he assures her that just because things are different doesn’t mean that their relationship is different. Love you and your blog

No warnings! Totally SFW :)

Note: This reminded me how I’ve always loved writing fics for Daryl! I love me some Daryl fluff. Enjoy reading! xoxo

And oh, if anyone wants to be tagged in future Daryl fics just drop by my ask. :)

Italicized paragraphs are flashbacks.

It had been an exhausting day for you since you went on a half-day run with everyone else, but you still came back feeling giddy. You had come across a bar and found a case of your and Daryl’s favorite beer and it was little things as such that somehow made you forget about the end of the world. After organizing all the supplies that you and the rest have gathered, you quickly took two bottles of beer and looked for Daryl.

You found Daryl just outside the house you shared, cleaning up his motorcycle in all his sweaty glory. You bit your lip and blushed when you remembered your first meeting with him. It also happened on a scorching hot afternoon, your car broke down and was towed into the nearest auto shop where Daryl happened to work at. You spotted him almost immediately, clad in a sleeveless plaid button down and work pants, his eyes focused on the bike he was working on. You chuckled to yourself, it almost felt like déjà vu.

Laundry Day (Merle Dixon x Reader)

Prompt requested by anon: “Are you really wearing that?” +  “Why? Why are your pants off?” + Fluff. If possible can he wear whitey tighties?

-Female Reader-

Summary: A meeting in the laundry room leads to some unexpected events…

A/N: Set in Season 3 at the Prison after Merle has joined the group. Hope you’ll enjoy it!

Warnings: Fluff, and a bit of Sexual Tension, Swearing of course and maybe hints of Sexual Activity.

“Oh God Merle…” You stood in the doorway with your dirty clothes in your arms, staring at his bare legs poking out underneath his black shirt. “Why? Why are your pants off?”

Merle turned his head around to look at you from where he stood at the sink, scrubbing on his dirty, old slacks and rolled his eyes with a scoff, “Well, what do ya think, girlie? Ain’t this the laundry room?” he asked in a mocking tone as he continued what he was doing.

“Yes, of course it is,” you snarled and moved quickly with blushing cheeks towards the sink next to him.

“Guess I’m cleanin’ my clothes, then,” he snickered and flashed you one of his stupid grins. You merely huffed and started filling the sink with water from the bucket you’d brought with you. Daryl had been kind enough to get it for you from the creek outside the prison fence. One thing Merle would definitely not do, being the asshole that he was. Sometimes you wondered how those two could be brothers.

You let out a deep sigh. Too bad the oldest Dixon was such a hot asshole.

Daryl and Hershel were against you coming along to the meeting with the governor. Daryl insists that you stay, he doesn’t want him to hurt you like he hurt Maggie. You aren’t too thrilled on staying back, having Daryl go with Hershel and Rick, but you have to agree that you will stay back—willingly.

Something doesn’t sit right with you at all that day, though. You can’t shake the feeling that something bad may happen, that they won’t come back, or that he sent men to ambush your group again. You feel the need to patrol outside, walking around, keeping an eye on everything.

Every once in a while, Maggie or Carol would come and check on you, making sure you are going alright. Once, Beth came out and gave you some water and a little snack. She runs her tail off, making sure everyone is well fed and rested. She does an amazing job with the little Asskicker and she’s basically taken on the ‘mom’ role. This is what’s happening to the world…

It’s refreshing to be outside. You do feel like you have been holed up a little too long in that place, or stuck on a supply run somewhere. You haven’t fully seen how big the grounds are, until now. It could be a beautiful place, a great place to build a little community.

You think on this a lot. Making this place theirs and yours, making this place a home. It’s wishful thinking, you know. You know it’s a lot to ask them to make the prison a home, but they seem to think the same thing. They don’t want to leave, can’t, really. Not with a baby and a man without a leg, it wouldn’t work to be out on the road, you all knew that.

Glenn walks out of the door just as you pass it. He leans his forearm on the fence and puts a hand on his hip, breathing heavily as he looks down at the ground, something running through his mind. You decide your watch is over and trail up, walking over to the man and setting the gun in the waistband of your jeans. “What’s up?” You ask.

Glenn shakes his head and drops his hands at his sides, looking around the grounds. He shrugs his shoulders and looks at you. “I just can’t believe we’re letting that asshole stay here.”

He’s talking about Merle. You nod your head and shift your gaze out to the walkers who are lining the fence, running into it every now and then as if they can morph straight through. “Why do you think I am out here?” You look back at Glenn. He’s staring at you, his lips parted and his mind whizzing with thoughts. You can see his gears rolling.

“He’s a monster. Untrustworthy. Why can’t Daryl see?” He rubs the back of his neck.

“I think…” You start off, watching an ant crawl around on the ground. It’s amazing that these little bugs are still around. “He has too much faith in people now. He thinks if he can change, Merle can change.”

“That’s the thing. Did Daryl ever change?” He looks at you, his eyes searching yours. Glenn has a point…

“It’s always been inside him. Merle always brought out the worst in him…” You sigh.

The door opens again and Maggie appears. She smiles at you and you smile back, giving her a little nod before you take the gun from your waistband and turn the safety on. “I’m heading inside. Beth may need some help with the baby.” You wave them off and walk inside, keeping an eye out for Merle as you walk. He likes to hide, to jump out in the most random times.

The rumble of Daryl’s motorcycle can be heard across the field. Hearing it makes your heart race, hairs to stand on the back of your neck, and you always want to hop on the back, to feel the motor beneath you. It makes you feel free.

You run to the gates and pull them open, Carl helping you as Daryl pulls through, followed by Rick and Hershel. They pull in and park, giving you and Carl enough time to close the gate before more walkers showed up.

Carl motions that he has it and you run over, throwing your arms around Daryl’s neck just before he can throw his leg off his motorcycle. You kiss his cheek and giggle as he grabs your waist, keeping both of you up before you fall over and hurt something.

“How’d it go?” You keep a low voice as Rick and Hershel get out of the car.

Daryl shakes his head and motions his head for you to let go. You do, taking a couple of steps back so he can stand up. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a packet of something, smacking a stick out of it and placing it between his lips.

“The fuck, Daryl?” You watch as he lights the cigarette up with a lighter and blows out a small puff of smoke. “Where did you find those?”

“Let’s go inside.” Rick calls as everyone gathers around to welcome them back. Everyone glances around at each other, wondering what’s going on.

Daryl shrugs his shoulders. “Needed a break.” He looks down at you, the cigarette bobbing between his teeth as he speaks. He grabs it between his pointer and his thumb, flicking the ashes off the end and into the dirt. “Found ‘em on a walker.”

“Gross…” You turn your lips down and shake your head, starting to walk away, but Daryl catches you by the elbow and pulls you back into him, kissing you just as everyone else disappeared inside the prison. His breath tastes like smoke and you inhale most of it. “Not around the baby.” You say once he pulls back.

“Yes ma’am.” Daryl murmurs, giving you another sweet kiss before retreating back inside, you following close behind him.

Everyone is standing around the cell block, including Merle. Rick is standing front and center, holding a shotgun in his hands, explaining the situation that occurred with the governor. Daryl steps to the side, leaning himself against the wall, pulling you in front of him so he can wrap a firm arm around you, keeping your back pressed against his. He rests his chin on the top of your head as his fingers slip between yours.

“I won’t lie.” Rick looks around the room, at his small group of people he managed to bring together, to keep safe. You can tell something is worrying him, something big. You fear you know what that is… “He wants us all dead after that night. He wants to take over the prison, keep it for his people.”

There’s a silence in the room. A silence that can be interrupted by a pin dropping. Everyone glances around at each other and you feel your throat tighten. Surely Rick was able to talk his way out of this… But there would be no such luck. Not after what you all did that night.

“We’re goin’ to war.” Rick drops his head after the word and walks out with the gun still tightly in his hands.

You pull away from Daryl and look up at him, watching his face to know if this is real or not. A war? With them? He has a thousand more men and even more ammo, there was no possible way this could work.

Daryl looks back at you, his eyes speaking for him. He nods his head and you can see, in the middle of his baby blues, that Rick is right. There is no other way than to have a war. This will haunt them forever…

A/N: Okay so this fic came about because after Michael’s infamous grilling apron pic was posted on Instagram, I wanted to take the “G for Grilling” slot for my “ABC’s of Merle” challenge on @rooker-renegades and write a smut fic about it. So yeah, thanks Michael for your hideously hilarious apron giving me inspiration this time around.

It had been so long since you were able to enjoy a cold glass of anything on a beautiful summer day like this. You were sitting on the porch steps of the house you, Merle, and Daryl stayed in at Alexandria, sipping your sweet tea while watching people wander around. Yesterday, the scavenging group had brought back a ton of food they found squirreled away in an abandoned bunker.

There really wasn’t supposed to be a party over it or anything, but Merle and Daryl talked Rick into letting them go out and catch some game and throw an old fashioned barbecue. It was of course a great idea, so here you were, watching everyone run around and enjoy themselves as they waited for dinner to be finished.

As you took another sip of your tea, you watched as Daryl turned the corner and made his way over to you, a small smirk on his face. When he was closer, you raised your eyebrow at him, waiting for him to tell you what he found so funny. “Ya gotta take a look at yer boyfriend,” Daryl said with a look of amusement.

Request: Could you do a one shot where Daryl finds his girlfriend back in Alexandria and it gets super emotional and he asks her to marry him?

Pairing: Daryl x Reader

Word Count: 1,526

Warnings: Fluff

You’d been staying in Alexandria for a couple of weeks now, with what little remained of your original group. A couple of your friends had settled into this old suburbia routine straight away, but you’d never been a picket fence kind of girl. The walls made you uneasy; this whole place felt too good to be true. Free houses, running water, solar freakin’ electricity. At least when you were out in the wild you were in control. You knew who your enemies were because they were everyone. Now you were stuck in some alien world with dinner parties and pasta makers. It was just as foreign to you now as it had been in the beginning.

So when Aaron showed up with a bunch of newcomers who were being funnelled into two of the houses right across the street from you, your whole group was on edge. The Alexandrians were closeted – they had no idea how dangerous people had become. Far more dangerous than the dead.

This group in particular looked even more feral than your group had upon arrival. The person you guessed was the leader looked half-mad with his overgrown beard and intense eyes. Holding a baby on his hip didn’t make him look any less insane. Following him was a woman with a samurai sword, a kid in a sheriff’s hat, a huge ginger bulldog who looked like someone had brought a G.I. Joe doll to life and… was that a priest?!

Pairing: Daryl x Jesus (Desus)

Word Count: 2114

Warnings: Fluff, canon violence, cursing, homophobia

Notes: This is based off of something my girl, @dragongirl420 , suggested and I loved it. Just like I love Desus. I hope you all like it! Xox

Ask/Suggestion: Oh yeah it is. It is definitely there. And what a story it would be!! Can you imagine… well I KNOW you can haha, but Daryl finding love with Jesus, but having repressed those feelings so long because he knew Merle would’ve kicked his ass or something like that

Pushing his lighter back into his pocket, Daryl sucked on the cigarette harshly. Squinting through his fringe, he exhaled a huge cloud of smoke as he watched them. Well… him.

Jesus was helping Denise and Tara haul the newly acquired supplies from Hilltop to the supply room. Taking another drag, Daryl sighed as he licked his lips, shaking his head. It was frustrating seeing the man; he elicited feelings in Daryl he hadn’t felt for a long time, or ever really. He thought he might have felt them for Beth but they weren’t anything like this.

When he’d first met Paul, he’d hated him, especially after losing the truck. But the more time he spent with him, no matter how much Daryl snapped at him or made rude remarks, he started seeing him differently. It was the little things at first; the way Paul’s eyes crinkled when he laughed, the way his smile lit up a room, the way he made Daryl feel without even trying. They didn’t even need to say a word to each other; just being around him made Daryl feel better, calmer. And it was driving him insane.

The three of them walked back to the truck and stopped for a minute, chatting and laughing, and Daryl’s chest tightened. God what he would’ve given to just walk over there and… Paul glanced over at him and smiled, waving at him. Daryl nodded, his cheeks flushing as he pulled on the cigarette one last time before heading quickly back in to the house.

Fandom: The Walking Dead

Pairing: Daryl x Reader

(This chapter take place during season 3)

Warning: angst and fluff

Merle and Michonne were gone, and since everybody knows that Merle works for the Governor, we couldn’t help but worry.

“ I can’t believe Merle did something like that” I said  while walking with Daryl toward his bike.

Since we notice Merle and Michonne disappearance, almost everyone starts to prepare for the research.

“Well, it’s not that our group has a really good relationship with him” says Daryl.

“Well he’s an asshole”

At that he stops and turns looking  at me, grinning:

“You better watch your mouth sunshine, he’s still my brother”.

With that said, he get on his bike.

I get on too, circling his waist with my arms and laying my head on his back… I really like feeling this close to him.

While we’re running along the road, I can’t help to think about what Daryl told me about his past.

How could Merle be related to Daryl? They’re so different and, even if Merle did a lot of bad things, Daryl will never give up on him.

He doesn’t talk about his feelings and shit like that but I could read it on his eyes: despite everything he’ll always care about his brother.

Daryl abruptly stops the bike: “(Y/n) look at that!”

A little up ahead from us, there were some kind of building with a lot of walkers roaming around:

“There are a lot of walker… do you think they took shelter in there?”

“I don’t know, Merle is really impulsive, he definitely would fight all those walkers rather than hide, anyway let’s take a look”

Nodding, I get off  the bike and take out my machete while Daryl get ready with his crossbow.

“Are you ready sunshine?”

“Yes, let’s go”

So we spend time taking down all walkers that came near us, we fight and fight until we were covered in blood and guts.

“Hey Daryl, look at that”

most walkers I took down were killed with gunshot, they didn’t seem dead for long time and that was strange.

Even if I call him, Daryl didn’t come to me so I turn around, ready to call him again when suddenly I understand why he ignored me.

Daryl was standing still, crying.

He was looking at a particular walker, that slowly was making his way toward my man.

I get ready to take it down when all of sudden I recognize that walker: It was Merle.

He has a bullet wound on his heart like the other walkers.

I take Daryl hand into mine: “Do you… do you want me to put him out of his misery?”

“Nah… I’ll do it” Daryl sobbed and start walking toward Merle.

At first he just push him away, still crying, then, when Merle fall on the ground, Daryl takes his knife and stabs him on his head.

However his brother was already dead, Daryl start to cry and screaming in rage, stabbing Merle’s head repeatedly.

I rush toward him and I finally hug him, he bury his head into the crook of my neck, still sobbing loudly

“Sssh… I know baby, I’m here”

Seeing him like that broke my heart, I really wanted to cry but I had to stay strong for him. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

When we got back at the prison, Daryl didn’t say a word and walked into our cell while I tell the others what happened earlier.

I also beg them to leave Daryl alone, he needs time to mourn his brother.

Later that night I walked to our cell; Daryl was laying on our bed, looking at the ceiling with red puffy eyes.

“Hey… you need to rest”

“I know…it’s just… I see him every time I close my eyes”

He sobbed again, so I decide to lay besides him, and hug him.

He looked like a little child: “Daryl, we will get through this together, I’m here for you”

He didn’t answer, he just lay a little kiss on my neck.

“I’ll always be by your side” I whisper before falling asleep.

Rick agreed to bring Merle in, but he was locking him away from the rest of the group. Daryl seemed okay with that, but that isn’t where his mind is. He’s watching you avoid his gaze. This isn’t the kind of welcoming he pictured on his way back. He assumed you would come running back into his arms, or he would get down on his knees and ask for your forgiveness—neither happened.

Everyone starts walking inside, Merle being led by Rick incase he tries anything funny. Daryl doesn’t mind, he’s a little fed up with his brother anyway.

Inside, Daryl lost you. He looks for you, but you have disappeared before he could say anything to you. He wishes he can do something, tell you what an idiot he was for leaving. He already knows he’s getting looks from Glenn and Maggie, maybe even Carol, who hasn’t spoken to him either.

Maybe Merle is only staying so he will, but he has to admit, it does make him a little happy that Rick agreed. Now if only he can get everyone on board, everything will work out amazingly, if he can have you, too.

Daryl walks into his cell and throws off the backpack and the shirt Merle ripped out there in the woods. He quickly throws on an old one he found on the bed and pauses. It’s the shirt you begged him to throw out, the one he promised he would burn when he got back.

He throws that shirt off and as quickly as possible, pulls on another one that was stuffed in his bag. He buttons each button slowly, listening to Rick and Hershel talk about Merle and keeping him locked in the next room.

The talk goes on for a few hours. Everyone has a different opinion on what to do and where to go. Daryl tries not to speak up, thinking it really isn’t his place anymore. All he wants is to find you, but you seem to have left. He glances around the room as Rick and Glenn get into it, hoping you may be hiding in oen of the other cells or you’ll walk through that door any second.

No one gets anywhere with the arguing, so Rick storms out, leaving the others to look around the room in confusion. It’s clear Rick is losing it, or he’s already lost it. Daryl rests his head against the railing of the second floor and groans. If he wouldn’t have left..

You swallow your pride and make your way back into the prison. You tried to go on a little walk, but the walkers hissing at you only made your head hurt worse.

Carl lets you in after you pass Merle, who makes kissy noises until Carl locks the door behind you. This just isn’t home anymore with Merle here, it will never be.

“He’s stayin’!” Daryl’s gravely voice carries across the prison. You look up, a little startled, in just enough time to see him racing up to the top floor out of anger and pace around the railing, biting the skin on his thumb and spitting it to the side.

His eyes meet yours and he stops. You shake your head and keep moving, over to the others standing in a circle where Rick and Glenn are fighting again. You want everyone to stop, want everything to go back to normal. This is going to set everyone apart.

“We need someone like him.” Hershel looks around at the rest of them. “He can really help us.”

“He makes me uncomfortable. Isn’t that enough?” You step in. Everyone goes quiet and looks, really looking at you. Daryl leans over the railing and stops, watching you with his beady eyes and his thin lips in a tight line.

“I want to speak with him.” Hershel announces and he starts to hobble away, doing the best he can with his crutches. At first, you felt so sorry for him. After he lost his leg, you thought that would be the end, but he has come a long way.

Carol walks over with her hands in her pockets. You catch Daryl walking away out of the corner of your eye and he disappears into the cell you two used to share. She sets a hand on your shoulder. “I’m going to talk to him. Want to follow?” She asks innocently.

You bite your bottom lip and look up, peering into the silent hole that Daryl is pouting in. You glance back down at Carol and shrug your shoulders. “I don’t really know what to say.”

“Don’t say anything.” She chuckles. “Or tell him how bad he made you feel. How bad us made us all feel when he walked away with that asshole.”

“Go on up there, I’ll be there in a minute.” You motion for Carol to go up the steps. You try to find the courage to go up there, say something to him.

When you get the rush, you quietly take the steps one at a time, listening for Carol’s sweet voice. She’s saying something, though it isn’t clear on what she’s saying at first. You catch the tail end of her sentence and stop, just outside of the door.

Daryl grunts. “This is a tomb.”

There’s a silence and then Carol says, “T-Dog called it that. Thought he was right until you and Y/N found me.”

Another silence.

“How is she?”

“I think you heard. She’s having a hard time with the way things ended.”

Carol sighs. “Did you really think you would just come back and everything be how it was before?”

Daryl doesn’t say anything, or make any kind of noise.

“What you did, it was loyal. To the wrong person.” Carol goes on. “Merle may be your brother, but he sure isn’t good for you. You have a whole group here, a big family. We’d do anything for you.”

“I’d do anythin’ for any of you.” Daryl says quickly.

“I know. Just give her some time. Things won’t just settle into place like they were before. You’ll have to make it happen.”

“I miss her…” Daryl grumbles.

You can’t handle it. You turn around and hurry down the steps, making your way outside.

You sit on the ground and press your back to the building. There’s shade there, and the breeze felt good. You know you aren’t supposed to be outside, but you can’t help yourself. Being in that place, it was beginning to get a little stuffy.

Rick runs by you, running toward the fence that you realize is open. You start to get up when most everybody else comes running out, armed and ready to shoot.

“The hell…” You look at all of them. Last to come out is Daryl. He stops and looks down at you.

“The hell you doin’ out here unarmed?? Get inside!” He points to the door, his crossbow in one hand, firmly.

“Excuse me?” You start to stand up but he grabs you under your arm and pulls you up the rest of the way. “Daryl!” You shout, tugging your arm away from him. That is going to leave a bruise later on.

Daryl pauses. “You’re right… Sorry…” His head is bowed, looking at the ground and kicking some dirt up into the air.

“Daryl!” Rick calls. Daryl hands you his knife and runs over, helping the others watch the person that’s walking up to the gate.

“Rick!” The person screams. Rick hesitates at the gate and looks over, tossing the keys to Daryl, who unlocks it and lets her in. Andrea…

Rick forces her against the wall and you think he’s truly lost it, then you remember seeing her at Woodbury. She’s in with him, the enemy. You start to wonder if she’s been sent here. Rick checks her, using his old cop techniques then kicks her knees so she fell on the ground.

“You alone?” He asks her, throwing her bag to Daryl. He catches it in the air and starts rummaging through it.

“Yeah…” Andrea looks around, her eyes landing on you last. She watches you for a second, not understanding why you look so miserable. Not that she’ll care, she was in with that horrible man, the one who touched Maggie. Or maybe that’s why she’s here…

It’s no secret that you never liked Andrea. Sure, she was one less warrior, and that was it. She was nothing but trouble when she was around, always picking Shane’s side and lusting over him. You always had a bad feeling with her, this time is no different.

You watch as she tries to plead her case, tries to lie her way back into your lives. Luckily for you, nearly everyone is on your side in the matter. Rick and Daryl give her the cold shoulder. Michonne watches her every move, carefully. The only person who seems to have missed her is Carol, even she doesn’t say anything to defend Andrea.

The whole scene is a mess. You watch Andrea beg for her life, as well as Phillip’s. Her calling him by his real name, it’s almost sickening. This is Shane all over again, this is another power thing. She loves the men with the power, loves to screw around with them and feel important when really, she’s being used. You can see that.

You’ve heard enough after Andrea says something about Rick and Phillip meeting face to face. You throw your hands in the air and walk out, walking into your room and sitting on the bed. Daryl’s stuff strewn about the place, the shirt with the holes is gone.

You sit on the bed and move his bag onto the top bunk. You think about packing your thinks, moving it into another cell, but you just don’t have the energy. You want nothing more than for Daryl to come hold you and tell you all this is a really bad dream.

Andrea showing up, that seems to throw things off balance. You can hear everyone talking, raised voices, even Daryl’s grouchy tone flowing through the bars. Part of you misses the farm, wishes Glenn never would have found those walkers in the barn, maybe Hershel wouldn’t have run off and Rick wouldn’t have brought that damn, stupid boy home. But who knows what would have happened instead.

It doesn’t take long before you feel the presence of someone in the doorway. You look up, seeing Daryl standing there, his elbows propping himself up against the bars, his arms raised above his head. He’s leaning in, though not stepping inside.

“Hi.” He looks at you.

“Hi.” You sit up, crossing your legs under you. You find a string on the bed and start playing with it.

Daryl’s nose twitches and his jaw clenches. “Andrea’s gone.” He says.

“So soon?” You wanted to sound disappointed, but it came out as a little glad. “Figured she’d stay a bit longer.”

“She met little asskicker then left.” He shrugs his shoulders and looks at the bar his elbow is leaning on. “Rick’s plannin’ on what to do next.”

“What do you think?” You look up at him, squinting a little from the sun shining in the large windows.

He drops his elbows and holds his hands in front of him, picking at a scab on one of his fingers. “I think I can’t do this without ya.”

You pause. “Do what?”

“This.” He drops his hands and motions around the prison. The sun is going down quickly. Outside, you can tell the sky is changing colors. “I fucked up, Y/N. Shoulda never left you.”

“Yeah, well, you did.” You sigh. Why is he doing this now? “Daryl, you left once. What tells me you won’t leave me again? The second Merle tries to leave, you’ll just go with him.”

Daryl’s quiet, he shifts his weight from one foot the other and sticks his thumb in his mouth, chewing on the skin around his nail. You close your eyes and shake your head, wishing he would stop that nasty habit. He walks over a few steps. “I ain’t never gonna leave you again. I swear, darlin’.”

“You’ve made that promise before.” You climb off the bed and stand up, ready to walk away from him and this cell. You’d come get your things later, once Daryl was out.

You start to walk around him, he grabs you by your shoulders and holds you in place. He looks down at you, his mouth slightly open as if he wants to say something. He blinks a few times and clears his throat. “I hated every goddamn second. I thought you would fight for me, fight for us. When you didn’t, I thought… Merle’s the only family I need.”

“And so you walk away with him.” Your eyebrow shoots up. “Daryl, I just—“

Daryl cuts you off by very gently pressing his lips against yours, still holding onto you by the shoulders. His lips are rough, chapped, and his stubble scratches against your top lip and chin. He forces himself a little closer, wanting to be as close as possible.

When he pulls back, he looks down at you. His eyes aren’t looking into yours, but down at your lips. He pursues his lips and nods his head. “Understood.”

You didn’t kiss him back, you just stood there, shocked that the man had that much courage. He doesn’t kiss you like that, ever. Pecks are his thing, unless it’s a special situation. In this case, it must have been.

He lets go of you and walks out of the cell, his shoulders slouching forward and his lip sucked in between his teeth.
