I'm wondering when the promo pic Darren's shared was taken. I don't think we've seen him in a full beard for a while.

Anon. I think you may have focused on the most important clue that completely went over my head to determine what is “coming soon.” The beard on his face.

Darren had some facial hair at the beginning of the year. But the hair on his head in the pic seems too long to be this year. I’d argue this pic is actually from early 2016 when he sported a beard and longer hair through satangate/we day London. To be clean shaven again for Carnegie Hall. Regardless. It’s at least 4 months old. I’d say much older.

So why use this pic? Especially when Darren’s professional imagine is generally clean shaven (at least his face).

My thoughts. He provided us with an enormous clue on the news. I know everyone wants the EP. I still contend the timing makes no sense. But I could be wrong.

My guess? It will be twofold. Elsie Fest. They need the fans to pay attention. They need a huge marketing push. There will once again be a limited window to sell tickets. What better way to get the fans attention than to build anticipation for 5 days?

Second part. That ties to both Elsie and the beard. LBL video.

And I know what you’re all thinking. Why not promote on the CG sites? Simple. Darren has 1.8 million followers on IG. CG 25,000. On twitter. Darren 2 million. CG 11,000. Further. They need all the fans to watch. If we know it’s the video, which we would if it was being promoted by CG, honestly I likely wouldn’t run to my computer, while at work, to watch. Eventually I’d watch. But not necessarily when it launched. I still don’t want to give her that even if I think her part is greatly exaggerated.

My hunch is they are trying to draw as many viewers as possible to his YouTube (not Facebook live so something likely pre-recorded) to watch her “directorial” achievement. That’s called payout to the beard on his arm. And if I am correct. Be ready for her to be praised.

I could be totally wrong. The Elsie info makes logical sense. They can’t wait much longer. If it’s happening. The beard clue gave me part 2. Which ties to Elsie as likely CG will play.

We will know on Wednesday. If it’s broadway I’ll chuckle at my wild thoughts. If it’s an EP that’s ok too.

  • konkeydongcountry: Take you hours to see their shorts because they hear their name, and to purchase, you’ll continue to suffer in cages not much time with my butters if you try.
  • jeopardybot: Chickens to be a girl - Darren’s christened her baldric!
  • konkeydongcountry: I spent most of my baby so I can't answer asks....
  • jeopardybot: I spent hours on average.
  • konkeydongcountry: Perhaps we even here?

I really need someone to help me understand what Mia is getting out of this?? She obviously is not pursuing her music anymore. She bought a bar but it is not open. She directed one music vid of Darren's but that is it - so what exactly is she being promoted for and what is she getting out of this?

Second hand fame that she literally has to do no work for except travel around the world, got to broadway shows for free, go to huge industry events as the plus one, and have fans that worship her. That is what she gets and she doesn’t have to barely lift a finger except to hit record on her phone and to post on snap/ig.

Ask The Artists: What's Your Favorite Gay Anthem?
For Pride Month, we asked several LGBTQ personalities -- and one of the community's biggest allies -- what their favorite gay anthem was.

Darren Criss

“It’s Raining Men” by The Weather Girls. I would pump this song really loud before most of my shows at Hedwig. Factoid: It was written by David Letterman’s pianist Paul Shaffer.
