Aaron Paul is set to star in The Parts You Lose, a drama directed by Academy Award nominee Paula van der Oest and written by Darren Lemke, which will tell the story of Wesley, an eight year old hearing impaired boy who encounters an injured and potentially dangerous fugitive in his small North Dakota town: the two form an unlikely friendship and Wesley finds an unexpected refuge from the troubles of his home and school life.
TB reports that 20th Century Fox is moving forward with its adaptation of James Frey and Nils Johnson-Shelton’s YA sci-fi adventure Endgame: The Calling by hiring Jack the Giant Slayer’s writer
to pen the script.
The story, described as a cross between The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner, is set on another world where twelve races are trained for an impending battle, foretold throughout the ages: the champions of war are between the ages of thirteen and seventeen, and once they become eighteen they then vacate their duty to the warrior behind them.
