Dungeon crawl with the tabletop role playing game club today after school. These guys did really well against some kobolds, a really nasty viking and a minotaur trapped in a magic circle. Don’t let the Minotaur out, it’s a trap.
enters its final day of funding at $9,000 and the new stretch goal is 100 game cards at the $10,000 level. At $11,000 the adventure moves out of the basement and “Into The Wilds”, a wilderness expansion set for the basic game. Lions, and Tigers, and Bears? Oh Yes! At $12,000 the game enters another dimension, literally with the Outer Planes Supplement adding a real Appendix N feel to the game.
Played some Warcana:1940 tonight. The MI-9 heroes were parachuted into Belgium and had to acquire some magical 19th century Symbolist paintings before the Nazis figured out their power. In the meantime they met up with a cult of Belgian occultists who were seeking to unleash hell (literally) upon the world as an ultimate ‘scorched earth’ policy against the occupation. Nazis were avoided, cultists were battled and eventually stopped and the paintings were located, stacked in a pile of 'degenerate’ art just waiting to be burned. Mission accomplished.
A government helicopter was taken down, but there are more where that came from silly player characters! Lots of adventure, excitement and James Bond style action. Using the Darkfast Dungeons Game Engine.
So this set was a commission and I thought it would round out the Dark Depths for the Darkfast Dungeons Kickstarter, but it got real big and will be released as a stand alone supplement for DFD. Kickstarter backers will get this as a bonus thank you set. There will be game cards and everything.
I’m working furiously to get a really big Darkfast Dungeons expansion set out late next week. I’m really happy with the way the Corvians (raven men) turned out. They are a playable class in the game. There are five other classes (Dark Elf, Revenant, Dwarf Miner, Skull Cleric, and Ghouls). There are also two pages of monsters (lots of skeletons, ghosts, wight, necromancer, Jelly cube, Lich, Floating skulls, living shadows, grave-diggers, vampire, carrion worms, tentacled horrors), game cards, new spells and even new tiles/walls and props to add to the basic game.
Last night I played a game of Retrospace using the same rules as my Darkfast Dungeons Kickstarter. It was pretty crazy how much fun that system was for a role playing game. Rules to run Retrospace character are available as an add-on for the basic game.
