dark skin harry potter

It just occurred to me, as I’m going through the Harry Potter books again, that whenever Harry has visions through Voldemorts eyes that he always, every single time, distinguishes between himself and Voldemort with the mention of “a white hand held a wand which was not his own”, or something to the effect of describing Voldemorts whiteness. While I’ve always taken this as a comment on how Voldemort is inhumanly, disgustingly pale, It occurred to me that a dark-skinned Harry Potter WOULD notice the stark, shocking difference in hands every single time without fail.

(Anon) Just to be clear this post is discussing whether or not Avery and Mulciber were true friends. It is NOT discussing whether James was a bully or a rival. It is NOT discussing whether Snape was a good friend to Lily or a crappy friend to Lily. It is NOT discussing whether James was a bully or a social justice warrior. It is NOT discussing how terrible of a friend Snape was for calling Lily a highly offensive racial slur. Although I don’t think “race” is a good comparison. Because in real life half-casts with dark skin can get racial crap. But half bloods in Harry Potter don’t get racial crap. Any way even if comparing it to real life racism isn’t the best comparison it was still disgusting.

What this is discussing is whether Avery and Mulciber were true friends? Like when people tell me he was buddies with “baby death eaters” during school. Was he? If he was the friendship seems really one sided to me.

why do you use harry and james potter as dark skinneds? isn't they white in the books? i'm confused (and curious)

If you read the books, neither James’ nor Harry’s skin color is ever described. However, they are both described as having black hair that they can’t control. It made sense to me that Harry could be mixed-race, and James could be black. Obviously, in the movies, both of them are white, but the books are more open to interpretation, and that is my interpretation.
