dark rye ale

The Bruery “Rugbrød” Dark Rye Ale: The Bruery is pretty well known for doing things outside of the norm, with an impressive selection of sour beers. When I read that this was a rye beer, I guess I was expecting this to have a bready quality to it, but this one followed in suit with other Bruery beers I’ve had. It was a little sour, but sweet also. Picked up on some carmel notes as well as some nuttiness and maybe a dark fruit of sorts. I was definitely picking up on the bready, yeasty qualities of it as well. An excellent beer. Can’t wait to crack open the Loakal Red and Autumn Maple I’ve been sitting on
