These are the 10 pieces that I included in my final thesis show. It’s pretty crazy that my college career is over. It all went by faster than I thought. In the end I feel a bit like I’m in limbo now that my schooling is over, and yet I’ve only lived 22 years. I’m not sure where I’ll be next summer, but I do know that I’ll still be illustrating. It is what I know and it is my passion.
Here’s to a new year. I wish all of us newly graduated artists the best in this vast world. Lets support one another. I know we can all make the transition. Stay motivated and find a happiness for yourselves.
I’ll consider this the final until I get a crit in class. I played around with the grass a lot and then decided to just leave it how it was. The only significant change I made after that was Bob’s face and a few additions to Laura.
Another close up crop of my piece for Light Grey Art Lab’s upcoming Boss Rush show. I chose Skull Kid with Majora’s Mask as my boss. The piece is 18x24 so it’s really big. You can’t see Skull Kid in this cropping, but Link is looking right at him.
The illustration is now finished. Unfortunately I won’t be able to post the whole thing until March. Keep a look out!
