The Boston Globe: Pope Francis on Monday endorsed the use of force to stop Islamic State militants from attacking ethnic minorities in Iraq, but said the US should act alongside the UN as history has revealed the danger of powerful nations acting alone.
The pontiff, who also said he’d be open to traveling to Iraq, spoke to reporters on a wide range of topics during a one-hour press conference on his flight home to Rome from South Korea.
