Sonia watched as the twins ran up to their dad, squealing in excitement. She couldn’t help but smile as she saw all three of their faces light up. It made her feel even worse for taking so long to reconcile all of this, and keeping them apart.
After the previous night, and what happened with Julian, she couldn’t sleep. She stayed up, thinking.
After almost a week without him in the house, she decided that she’d had enough space and time to figure out what she wanted. She called Elliot early that morning and invited him over to hash it all out.
“So, I figured we could talk about all of this first… and then, if you want, you could take the twins out somewhere? You know, spend some time with them. I could use a nap honestly, I’m pretty exhausted,” Sonia said.
“Uh, yeah, sure, that sounds good,” Elliot said, as he put Violet back down.
He sighed. He wasn’t looking forward to this.
